Mr. Pan in Magdeburg

Recommended as an experience, huge selection, everything deliciously prepared, you should know beforehand whether you are hungry if you really want to try everything. Practical and uncomplicated as an event / family meal experience. Officially there was no paper bill - is that a concern? - But others have to clarify. We as a family sat at a round table with a middle turntable - perfect... and had absolutely nice service. For all the grumpy people (too expensive, too unfriendly... blah, blah, blah, whatever) doing it yourself makes you smart ! We found the evening nice and relaxed - also because the children (playground equipment) and the... Smokers (without toys) were able to go out during the meal without attracting attention. The evening was worth every euro. Everyone was full and happy.

Great restaurant, plenty of food, whether it was the standard meat menu or the fried meat pieces, everything was tasty. Salad bar or deli bar weren't bad either. We'll definitely come back.

My friends "dragged" me to this restaurant at lunchtime a few days ago... When I heard that there was a buffet there - I wasn't so euphoric anymore 🤨 Once there (from the outside "well") - I was amazed when I entered the restaurant: divided into several seating areas, bright and friendly, comfortable despite the size. Set, clean tables... a nice atmosphere... Fast service who took our drink order. As far as food was concerned, we opted for the buffet: a huge selection. There was nothing that wasn't available... salad buffet, sushi & sauces, dessert buffet (including chocolate fountain), ice cream and of course the numerous main courses = everything as self-service... All in all I was pleasantly surprised 👍

There is wonderful Befee food with Schocko Brunenn etc. The service is very nice when you are sometimes served by the robot If you are there with children there is also a small playground

Always tasty & good quality The Pekin soup became a bit spicy lately, otherwise it was milder. The ice chest in the self-service urgently needs to be replaced, with handles that can be pushed open, it is very difficult to push it open. A little more room divider so that it isn't so loud would be nice. Remove the ceiling, there are many inexpensive alternatives to make it quieter and therefore more pleasant overall. We've probably been there 10 times and more, unfortunately it's really expensive at currently €26 per person.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the Mr. Pan restaurant after our visit last Friday. The disappointment was huge and we definitely won't be coming back. Here is an overview of our experiences: 1. Lukewarm food I was particularly looking forward to the fried noodles with duck. Unfortunately, both were only lukewarm - the noodles were even cold in some places. That was anything but edible. 2. Cold, greasy baked cheese Next try: baked cheese. But this was also cold and tasted more like leather with cold oil than like a delicious, fresh dish. 3. Tasteless soup Finally I tried the soup, which was at least served hot. But in terms of taste? Zero. It didn't taste like anything - except for an intense spiciness that probably came from chili. 4. Disappointment at the grill station The barbecue area could have been a highlight. I put together noodles and beef and gave them both to the grill master, hoping to finally get a hot meal. What I got back, however, was a pile of ungrilled pasta with lukewarm beef - all without any sign of grill heat. 5. Chocolate fountain and grapes with seeds Last but not least, we wanted to try the chocolate fountain. We chose grapes for this - only to discover that every single grape was full of seeds. Really seedless grapes are expected in 2024. 6. Poor service After being assigned our table, we ordered drinks for our group of five. Then no one came to our table for 1.5 hours to give us the opportunity to order more. A service that simply shouldn't happen in a busy restaurant. 7. No insight from staff When paying, we asked the waiter about all these deficiencies. His reaction? A shrug of the shoulders and the remark that the restaurant was busy and that's just the way it was. No apology, no improvement in sight. In the end we paid just under €150 for an experience we would like to undo. We left the restaurant hungry and disappointed - and will certainly share these experiences with our friends and acquaintances. Conclusion: Never again. If you expect good Asian food and friendly service, you should avoid Mr. Pan.

The food is very plentiful, whether from the menu or at the buffet. The operations are very quick and you can also rely on the electronic support. Unfortunately I have to deduct a star for the background noise because it was very loud and you had the feeling you were sitting in a train station.

Good and friendly service can also provide recommendations when it comes to schnapps. Food is also very good, had a buffet. There is also a large selection of sushi which was also delicious. There are also unusual things like frog legs, zebra kangaroo and so on, which are freshly prepared and then brought to your table by a robot. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is busy.

Food tastes good and is always plentiful. The used dishes are quickly cleared away and we ask whether everything is OK. Unfortunately it is a bit too loud, but that's justifiable with so many guests.

Maybe it was because we didn't arrive until around 8 p.m., so the food wasn't refilled since prime time was already over. It is clear that quality suffers as a result. We'll give it another chance and come at a time when there might be more people eating. :)

We were there on Saturday with friends, the food was terrible and the waiters were rude and the attitude was terrible. The food was cold and not tasty and cold. My friends and I felt bad at night.

I was there with my daughter. THAT WAS TERRIBLE! The food was cold and tasteless. The service was terrible. The waiters were extremely unfriendly. In the evening my daughter felt bad! I don't recommend this place! For this money you can eat much better and tastier food in other restaurants.

We always enjoy being at Mr.Pan because there is something for everyone. Huge fresh buffet with everything your heart desires. A wide variety of meats that you can have freshly roasted and dessert options are not neglected either. The service is ALWAYS top, but the volume is sometimes really extreme - it always depends on where you get a seat.

Well…we were there on a holiday. By 12:00 the store was already 95% full and there felt like 500 seats. The ambience is more like a train station, with a lot of hustle and bustle and a very loud environment. The food was plentiful and buffet style. It was tasty, but also mass production. Despite the large number of people, the staff was polite and on the ball. The robots were a funny detail.

We ordered a table at 6 p.m. at short notice, luckily, the parking lot was already very full, we didn't have to wait, the service was great, friendly, fast, the buffet was constantly being refilled. After years of loyalty, I unfortunately had a disappointing experience at Mr. Pan. The waitress's behavior not only ruined my day, but also that of my daughter, who had been crying for two hours. Although I've been a regular for over a decade, I'm determined that today is the last time I've been there.

Very, very nicely done inside and out. Staff very nice. There are two robots: Robot = 1. For bringing food Robot = 2. For clearing plates, for example Food very tasty and large selection from pasta to squid. There is a large buffet. Prices are borderline.

The food is delicious and was plentiful throughout. Unfortunately it was sometimes very loud and the little robot played “Happy Birthday” extremely often. Perhaps it could be turned down a little so that the other guests who are not part of the birthday party are not so disturbed. But it’s definitely “complaining at a high level” and don’t let that stop you from visiting.

Food was cold, not warm, even though we had booked in advance, we didn't know we were coming, staff overwhelmed, far too loud, mass processing. Food more like canteen food. Seats too tight even though we booked in advance, just terrible. Staff was unfriendly to us, never again just sad.

Mr.Pan is a 10/10. The store is super inviting and beautiful. The food is very tasty and the toilet areas are clean and well maintained. The waiter robots are the highlight of Mr.Pan :)

It's OK, but you shouldn't expect much.

We were very disappointed today. Everything we ate was completely over salted, including all the sauces. The beef was tough, the liver was sour... The Peking soup didn't even taste remotely like one. It just tasted like ready-made tomato soup. We always enjoyed eating here. But for €26 p.p. buffet and then eating something that is far too salty and spicy, and then frozen cake... We won't be eating here anymore, at least in the evenings. Too bad

Mr Pan, for people who love an excellent selection of dishes will get their money's worth. The lunch buffet is great and also offers a more than sufficient selection for seafood and fish fans. Sauces, meat, side dishes are all fresh and high quality. Nice waitresses, and if you're on AI, that's also a highlight... the service bot...it's fun and always a highlight. All in all, a well-rounded, recommendable item

After the Corona crisis I was there again today. Unfortunately they are not allowed to reopen the buffet yet and you can only order ala card. The new highlight is hot pans. The food was really great, the price was also reasonable. We were 3 adults and 1 dog, there was supposed to be a buffet for the adults. Great structure, great taste, freshly grilled ice cream, fruit. If you don't leave here full, you simply don't like Asian. What bothers me is the service. Of course everyone likes to use the excuse that there is no staff, but then you have to adapt the number of tables to the skills of the remaining staff. We stood alone at the entrance hoping to be assigned a seat, which at some point happened half-heartedly. Drinks came quickly 2 out of 3 cokes were also cold. I'm used to it from other restaurants, we often go out to eat with a dog and a bowl of water is brought for the dog or asked for. Paying took about 30 minutes and 3 waiters, which I also found to be too long. Hence the few stars for service.

The food was super tasty, but the waitress that served us was really unfriendly. When people go to a restaurant and pay a lot of money, the least you can do is behave correctly towards them (Table 26 on November 4th, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.).

Way too crowded, way too loud. The service is great and you can't complain about it. Children are constantly running past you. This makes it impossible to eat quietly. In general, I don't think the price-performance ratio is suitable

We are visiting Magdeburg. We are really excited about the food, we haven't had such a good buffet in a long time. So I can only recommend it.

Als Freund der asiatischen Küche wollten wir einen entspannten Abend mit Freunden verbringen - leider ein Reinfall. Obwohl das Restaurant gegen 19 Uhr normal frequentiert war, der Kellner war eine Katastrophe - übelgelaunt und motzend. Das Besteck wurde lieblos auf den Tisch verteilt - um nicht zu sagen geworfen; die Nachfrage nach einer 3. Speisekarte nicht erhört (obwohl wir deutlich gesagt hatten, wir wollen ala Carte essen. Die bestellten Getränke wurden nicht verteilt, sondern mir auf den Tisch gestellt (5 Personen); es dauerte sehr lange bis nach dem Essen der Tisch abgeräumt wurde und mein Desert wurde mir förmlich auf den Tisch geknallt. Einziger Lichtblick war die Kellnerin, welche ab und zu aushalf. Entsprechend sah so auch die Kassierung aus. Sollte der junge Mann diese Gebaren täglich an den Tag legen - Höflichkeit scheint ihm ein Fremdwort zu sein; so ist er in diesem Gewerbe falsch. Diesem Lokal spreche ich keine Empfehlung aus und werde es bei einem neuerlichen Besuch in Magdeburg meiden.

Our third visit to Mr. Pan was once again successful. At least if you ignore the large number of guests, which can sometimes lead to waiting times at the buffet. A big plus to the standard "Asian buffet" is the "Mongolian grill", two chocolate fountains and the soft ice cream machine. There is also a small sushi buffet. The food appears to be freshly prepared and of consistently good quality. This particularly applies to the fresh vegetables at the grill buffet. We didn't like the Peking soup, it lacked a bit of acidity and spiciness. There are deductions for dessert. The custard seemed very stretched, the cake and fruit selection was limited. Unfortunately, the buffet is not refilled or only very selectively refilled 1 1/2 hours before the kitchen closes. Unfortunately, the hefty buffet price does not include drinks. With the well-seasoned dishes, this can quickly add up. The biggest drawback is the size of the restaurant. The staff is friendly and does a good job, but you can also feel the stress. A few places less would certainly be an advantage here. Then there would be more time to wipe down the buffet or empty the paper towel bins in the toilets. Unfortunately, due to the large number of guests, the modern toilet facilities do not look very clean. But despite there being a lot of guests, the acoustics in the restaurant are quite good. The service is provided by robots, which is particularly exciting for younger guests. The drinks menu has a good selection of local and Asian drinks. The cocktails are probably the usual “ready-made mixes”. The restaurant offers cash and card payments. It's best to make a reservation for the weekend by phone. Electronic reservation is not possible. All in all we felt comfortable again. However, in our opinion the price-performance ratio was not right.

A very presentable Chinese destination for sophisticated, friendly hospitality. This restaurant looks modern, spacious with an incredibly wide range of dishes of the highest quality. A spacious parking lot and a modern house also make up for the longer journey to this destination.

Ich war kürzlich in diesem asiatischen Restaurant und war absolut enttäuscht von meinem Besuch. Die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich unfreundlich und unhöflich. Sie schienen überhaupt kein Interesse daran zu haben, uns zu bedienen oder auch nur zu begrüßen. Insgesamt war mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant eine absolute Katastrophe. Ich werde definitiv nie wieder hierher zurückkehren und würde es auch niemandem empfehlen, der nach gutem Essen und gutem Service sucht. Dieses Restaurant ist es einfach nicht wert. Leider geht die Leitung absolut nicht auf meine Beschwerde ein. Absolute Unprofessionalität.

We were at the restaurant with our grandchildren on June 25th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. for the lunch buffet. We were very disappointed with the buffet. All the dishes were cold and there were only leftovers available. We won't be coming back that quickly.
