Mr. Cherng in Hamburg

I have tried all comparable all you can eat restaurants in Hamburg and Mr. Cherng is by far the best! The best sauces, the freshest foods and the most sushi selection! The staff is always friendly and the price is unbeatable. Just keep it up!

I'm rarely here and I'm always surprised at how little has changed - unfortunately in a negative sense. The selection has remained the same for years, and the quality of the food is mediocre at best. The beef and lamb are particularly disappointing, as they often look gray and smell unpleasant. This is really not acceptable. The atmosphere also leaves a lot to be desired: the aisles are very narrow, which quickly becomes uncomfortable when there's a bit more activity. Although the staff is mostly nice, they can occasionally be a bit aggressive, which further spoils the overall impression. Overall, not a place I would recommend unless you don't have high expectations. It's a shame that there seems to be no emphasis on further development here.

I went at lunch time for their all you can eat and its super fast and staff is ready to assist. Sometimes a line does build up but overall its pretty fast.

From the outside it looks like wow here we go to eat. Ok, it looks good inside too, but everything is cramped between the tables. The all you can eat was okay to fill you up, but it was also economical with the selection of meat and fish. The grill master was great. In other restaurants I've had other people's sauce in the meat, but not here. The sanitary facilities could be looked at more often. Service was quick and friendly and remained quiet until closing time. Yes, you can go. If you prefer something quieter, go from 8:30 p.m. and don't worry, the buffet is always well stocked

Me and my friends were also regular guests there until this Saturday, October 2nd, 24th. after dinner we paid. my feudines with Bahrzslung and me with card. we were very busy talking and I took the bill and put it in my pocket and At home I looked and noticed that Statesent €52 was debited for €78, that's really theft and we will never eat there again.

This is not a buffet! There is no choice at all. 1x fried noodles, 4x sauce, and 3-4x some meat.That's it! And the food was cold. Not just lukewarm but really cold. 25 euros for cold noodles (there is no fried rice) is really unbelievable. Unfortunately, after telling the staff that the food in the buffet was really cold, nothing happened.

Ich wollte schon länger hier zum Essen gehen, jetzt war es endlich soweit. Ich komme von außerhalb, ca. 65 km. Wir wurden am Empfang freundlich begrüßt, dann aber nach hinten in einen Raum ohne Fenster gebracht, was uns nicht passte. Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und fühlten uns wie in einer Schulkantine. Alles gut, wir waren ja zum Essen da. Nebenan konnte man sich am Buffet das Essen abholen, was zur Mittagszeit gut besucht war. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist überschaubar, aber dafür gibt es reichlich verschiedene Sushisorten. Die Hitze im Raum war unerträglich, weil die Klimaanlage nicht lief. Den meisten Gästen stand der Schweiß auf der Stirn. Dann wurde hinten eine Tür/ein Fenster zur Durchlüftung geöffnet. Wir haben von allem etwas probiert und müssen leider sagen, dass es sich nur für den absoluten Notfall anbietet. Das Personal war bemüht, einen guten Service anzubieten, aber in der näheren Umgebung gibt es bessere Asiaten, auch wenn diese viel kleiner sind. Ich vergebe nur zwei Sterne, da der Service nicht überzeugt hat und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht stimmt. Für den Notfall ist das Restaurant okay, aber nicht mehr. Hamburg hat eine riesige Auswahl an Restaurants, da kann man sich auch woanders umsehen.

I've been wanting to eat here for a while, now it was finally time. I come from outside, about 65 km. We were greeted warmly at reception, but then taken to the back of the room to a room without a window, which didn't suit us. It was our first time here and it felt like we were in a school cafeteria. Everything was fine, we were there for dinner. Next door you could pick up your food at the buffet, which was busy at lunchtime. The selection of food is limited, but there are plenty of different types of sushi. The heat in the room was unbearable because the air conditioning wasn't running. Most of the guests had sweat on their foreheads. Then a door/window was opened at the back for ventilation. We tried a bit of everything and unfortunately have to say that it is only suitable for absolute emergencies. The staff tried hard to provide good service, but there are better Asian places in the local area, although they are much smaller. I'm only giving it two stars because the service wasn't convincing and the price-performance ratio wasn't right. The restaurant is okay for emergencies, but nothing more. Hamburg has a huge selection of restaurants, so you can also look elsewhere.

Cereza en el pastel: había algunas moscas en el tiramisú industrial sin protección. Conclusión: Si sabes o deseas descubrir la comida asiática , por favor no vayas y ahorra tu dinero sin embargo si vas puede que te rías bien de ella

If you actually go for sushi, don't go, go away fast. We were very disappointed with the food quality. For 25 euros/ pers (evening price), we were expecting way more. Here is the list : - The soy was spoiled. The waitress kindly exchanged bottles but they were all like that and it didn't shock anyone. - What they call miso soup is what I call leftover soup. And it had a syrup-like consistency. It is an attack on Japan ( see photo) . - The supposed salmon was not salmon. It didn't taste like it. - Asian deserts were not good : the red bean dumpling tasted like it had mold. The sesame balls were almost empty. That was funny though. - Cherry on the cake : there were some flies on the unprotected industrial tiramisu. Conclusion : If you know or wish to discover Asian food , please don't go and save your money however if you go you might have a good laugh about it

My experience was wonderful. There is an open buffet from 12:00 to 15:00 at a price of only 14€ per person, and from 17:30 to 22:00 at a price of 25€, including direct food preparation.

Despite the large number of visitors, who sometimes show up with astonishing ideas about an "all you can eat" buffet (buffet mill), the quality of the food remains consistently good. We and our friends are regular customers at this place, the food is okay. However, I would like to draw your attention to the terrible service from the employee and her absolute rudeness. There were three of us and each of us didn't finish a sushi roll. As we were already preparing to pay, an employee came up to us, muttered something incomprehensible to herself, threw down a piece of paper and ran away. The note said that each uneaten sushi roll costs 50 cents. Firstly, we have been here before and this rule has never existed, and secondly, why was the new rule introduced so rudely? But that is not all. We finished one sushi roll and when we came to pay, the employee said that it didn't count because she hadn't seen it 😆 and already charged us for all three sushi rolls.
