Mr. B’s in Wetzlar

Authentic US burger shop in the heart of Wetzlar's old town. The interior design is designed with great attention to detail and you feel like you are in America. Especially when Ben is in the store. The burgers are awesome. I travel around a lot for work, but I've never had such delicious burgers anywhere. The meat, the spices, the bun, the sauce...just an explosion of flavor. My friend is a vegetarian and she too is enthusiastic about the vegetarian citizens. There's even a vegan burger. I've already tried it. Absolutely delicious.

Lovely burger restaurant and a great dining experience!

The chicken burger tasted good, but the piece of chicken was very small, especially in relation to the burger bun. My friend really liked the regular (beef) burger. The price-performance ratio is not that good. Of course, all the burger shops here have increased in recent years, with the exception of the golden seagull (although of course they don't deliver the quality of B's), but I've recently had more on my plate at other (small) restaurants or chains. I actually didn't get full from one menu (burger + fries), but I eat like a sparrow.

Always my pleasure! What I like about Mr. B's is the manageable, and therefore so good, menu. All the dishes seem typically American, as does the decor, and the food is just damn delicious. The prices are perfectly reasonable for today's times and ordering via the online menu works perfectly.

The burgers tasted good. To order, however, you had to go to the restaurant's website. That wouldn't be a bad thing, but the system didn't work well and you had to provide personal information. There was also no cutlery.

The fries, burgers, drinks and sauces are incredibly tasty. The price is easily under €20 per person and there is something for everyone. The vegetarian burger selection is particularly great, but there are also vegan options and of course many burgers with meat. Overall, really highly recommended

The burgers were very tasty. Chains have a very, very difficult time keeping up with that. The sweet potato fries were one of the best for me. The burgers had a good, defined taste. Overall, I would have liked it if the burgers had been a little bit bigger for the price. I wouldn't get enough of sweet potato fries and burgers, which I actually find unusual in community restaurants. Still a high rating and a “I’ll be back”.

Young and dynamic is a good concept that you don't see often in Germany. Unfortunately the staff is very rude and arrogant. If the QR code doesn't work, you get flippant, arrogant answers. Older people in particular who would like a burger are disappointed and treated stupidly. The shop is a hipster shop through and through, but unfortunately neither polite nor respectful. . The burgers are very good ! But the previous one ruins it.

We ate three delicious burgers. Reserving a spot in advance was a good idea. The service was very nice and attentive. The only thing I didn't like was that the ketchup and mayonnaise cost extra and were brought in a plastic bowl.

The burgers were delicious! Homemade fries were also very good. Bring your smartphones, because the menu is online and ordering food also is. The mango habanero burger is really spicy not german spicy, your mouth will be numb afterwards. I took the chickenburger and it was very tasty. We'll definitely be back for more. I advise to reserve your table as the number of seats is limited, around 15 inside and 10 outside. Very american decor which fits the place and the food.

Amazing! We spotted the restaurant by chance. It was definitely one of the best burgers I ever had, the patty juicy and tender, excellent bacon, and the best habanero sauce. We are definitely coming back!

Ahead. The staff was extremely friendly. The citizen was really good. But you have to like it: the beer comes in a bottle without a glass. The citizen comes in a plastic bowl without cutlery on a paper sheet. Ordering and paying only via mobile phone. I'm a bit older and have had problems with it. Everything is very cost-optimized and not really for the customer. I don't think I'll be back

Yesterday we wanted to treat ourselves to some really ‘fat’ burgers and came across Mr. B. The burgers we were served there were beyond fat. The rolls were super soft and the meat was very tasty. You could choose between medium and through; we both chose the latter. We also ordered fries and onion rings. Everything was very tasty and attractively served, in small red baskets – mega! A special highlight was the modern ordering method: the entire order was processed digitally using a QR code and you could easily pay with PayPal. We thought that was really modern. The owner seems to be from the USA and knows how to make real burgers.. We paid €55, and we each had 2 additional meat patties (€6 extra per burger). However, we would leave that out next time because it was just too much. Evaluation: Price: 4/5 Taste: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Owner service: 5/5 Overall we give 5 stars. If every visit tastes so wonderful, it’s more than justified.”

I was there for a lunchtime snack, but in the end it was burgers and fries and two drinks. It was a perfect match. The food is freshly prepared and is of very high quality. The taste is great and definitely better than some other burgers in the city. Decoratively arranged in a clean ambience. This makes you want to eat! At first I walked past the shop because it was something inconspicuous. Maybe you advertise again outside and do a lunch menu. This attracts more customers. So good luck and keep it up.

The food is really very tasty. The atmosphere in the store is also really nice. It is important that you definitely reserve a table because the shop is always fully booked. Prices are a bit expensive but you get something for your money. I would always expect to pay ~€13 for a burger.

Everything served is superb! I got the Greek Burger and sweet fries. They were all to die for! Soooo good. Too bad we live far away or we would be regulars.

Parking lot about 100 meters away. Ground level access. Indoor and outdoor hospitality. Regularly busy and popular with young people, American atmosphere, rock music, bottled beer, good food.

OK, so the hamburger itself was good. However, I find it strange that you only get cutlery and glasses upon request and that the hamburger is served lying on paper in a red plastic basket. The eye also eats and that didn't appeal to me at all. In addition, after a few minutes I had to be very careful not to get the softened paper on the (ordered) fork. High-priced food, in the "Büdchen style" with plastic chairs that didn't even have a narrow cushion.

The burger tasted good but had too much sauce and was extremely soggy. The sweet potato fries were so salty that I couldn't eat the entire portion. The drinks were only brought when asked because the waitress didn't know anything about it. Unfortunately not entirely convincing.

Small, neat, good food, and dinner to order via website. Easy concept, well thought through. Good burgers and crispy bacon! All things are very positive but the store is very small and seems packed which rather makes you order delivery or takeaway. That's sad since the space had a nice ambience to it which would be "American diner". However with the space they have it is done as good as they most likely can. They even have restrooms in the small area they have available.

Excellent burgers with very tasty fries and great homemade dip in an original American atmosphere. This design, including relatively loud music and a small distance between the tables, makes it sometimes more difficult to have a good conversation. It doesn't bother me, but you should know. It is also advisable to make a reservation, as the few tables are often already occupied. Only the homemade ice tea tastes artificial and is therefore not my cup of tea. But there are also normal soft drinks, so no points are deducted here either.

Very tasty food. It's a cool feature that allows you to order and pay for food yourself via your cell phone. The only thing that bothers me is that it's a bit too expensive. But I'd love to come back :)

Stopped there spontaneously and was pleasantly surprised. Oh well. If you have problems getting a seat, it actually speaks for the restaurant. A small, cozy restaurant that is almost reminiscent of an old pub with really excellent burgers and side dishes. However, I can warn against ordering twice the meat and a lavish side dish. Hard to eat and more powerful than you expect. The quality food at acceptable prices is served by very friendly staff.

I’ve tried a lot of burgers in the area and Mr. B’s is definitely the best burger joint. I’ve always had a good time and delicious food there (… get the onion rings alongside your burger!).

I'll definitely be back and probably more often. For me it's an absolute tip for fans of a truly American burger. The food definitely deserves five stars. If you like burgers, this is the place to be and it had a bit of the flair like in the USA. It's absolutely brilliant that there are also corn dogs and typical things like that that you simply can't get anywhere else. Mr B. Was friendly and the service was quick. Simply order via mobile phone and it works. It's a bit more impersonal, but you get your order super quickly, even though you're the only person in the dining room. Well solved and you can also pay directly, which makes it really easy to get up and go even after eating. Really uncomplicated. You may sit very tightly, which unfortunately meant a quick exit for our claustrophobic companions that evening, hence only 4 stars in this area. We sat in a row and not around a table and then back to back with others. It's ok, but not amazing. There are also a few tables, but they are more for two people and are also small. I don't see that as a problem, but it's something you should know. The actual ambience is nice and the narrowness is the only thing and shouldn't be an issue for most people and certainly not a reason not to visit Mr B.! A bit more constructive criticism for Mr B.: I would have missed a little dessert, but I understand if you specialize. Less, but very good is also a good way. Maybe a float or sundae? And I would be very happy about Dr. Pepper are happy, although of course that doesn't go down so well with the German population :-D.

Definitely a top burger address in the Gießen/Wetzlar area, but it's so tight that you're lucky if you're a Wetzlar resident and can pick up the food. The iced tea was really oversweet, the blonde woman (the boss's wife or employee) didn't give off any good vibes, and the boss was also very stressed. We may come back, but not to eat on site.

Excellent food with authentic flair. Very nicely decorated little restaurant where you should definitely make a reservation to eat on site, or if possible just order it to be picked up. The portions are reasonably large and we tried our way through. Everything was simply delicious, and we will come here more often just for the shop and the always happy boss! The ordering system via the Internet is made interesting and errors when ordering on the part of staff are eliminated. The prices are also absolutely reasonable.

Update: I give it 2 stars but because you can open it when you want. I've often stood in front of closed doors at lunchtime even though it was supposed to be open. Keine 08/15 Burger- sehr lecker. Braucht man fast nicht die Pommes - ich war nach dem Burger schon satt. Das Essen kam schnell,die Bedienung war nett. Bestellen kann man per App oder am Tresen. Allein die Deko im Laden ist einen Besuch wert. Zur Weihnachtszeit quietsche bunt mit Ami/Retro-Touch. Mal was anderes. Einziger Haken: Wenig Platz im Laden ,die nächsten warteten schon 😁

Ich bin ein Burger-Fan! Ich habe alles probiert: McD., KingB., alles. Aber das hier ist eine andere Hausnummer! Ich würde sagen "der beste in der Region". Die Qualität ist top. Die Burgers sind hausgemacht, die Atmosphäre ist immer toll und passt immer zu den Veranstaltungen.

Burgers are amazing, prices are average. Staff is polite but atmosphere is terrible. For starters, it was very cold and never gets warm, despite the place is very small.

Das Essen dort ist immer wieder sehr sehr lecker Ist auch immer wieder recht schnell am Tisch. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich Es müsste nur mal langsam ein größerer Laden her,denn die Kundschaft Word bei ihnen garantiert nicht weniger :-) ;-) Die Reservierungen sollten bei so einem kleinen Laden,und so wenig Tischen besser getimed werden. Und für die nächste halloween dekoration würde ich mich mehr über USA feeling freuen als einen deutschen/USA Mischmasch. Alles in allem,wir werden,auch wenn es heute etwas holprig war, immer wieder und wieder kommen 🙃 P.s. sehr zu empfehlen sind der Caramelized Onion Burger Und der Peach Icetea

Bester Burgerladen in Hessen...mit Auszeichnung. Und das verdient. Die Burger dort sind der Wahnsinn. Super lecker und frisch. Die selbstgemachte Limonade ist auch Klasse. Eben typisch amerikanisch.

Heute mal wieder Burger und Chicken Bites geholt. Die Burger wie immer sehr lecker und die Chicken Bites, die ich zum ersten Mal probiert habe, sind ein Gedicht. Sowas von knusprig und lecker gewürzt. Dazu habe ich den Dip "Ranch" gewählt, der auch mega gut schmeckt

Leckere Auswahl an Burgern. Einfache Bestellung vor Ort via QR Code aber auch persönlich am Tresen möglich. Sonderwünsche wurden problemlos ausgeführt. Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Essen schon nach nur 10-15 Minuten am Tisch. Sitzmöglichkeiten sowohl draußen als auch drinnen. Die Pommes waren sehr sehr lecker und auch die Guacamole auf dem Veggie Burger war richtig gut. Insgesamt sehr lecker und auch preislich vollkommen angemessen.

Sehr gute und auch ausgefallene Burger. Mango Habanero ist sehr lecker. Meine Frau war von den Fish'n'Chips ebenfalls begeistert. Platzreservierung ist zu empfehlen. Die Plätze draußen haben bestes Altstadt Flair. Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir konnten noch schnell etwas Essen, bis die Reservierung für die nächsten Gäste dran war. Dankeschön nochmals.

For being an American myself, these are really good Burgers. Mr. B has outdown himself with his unique gourmet burgers and sides. Anytime I'm nearby Wetzlar I always make sure to take the time to come here. I would 100% recommend this place to any person in the Wetzlar area. These are "echt" American Burgers.

Essen war sehr lecker. Burger gut und für rund 11€ pro Burger auch sehr üppig und große Portionen. Ambiente ist sehr einfach aber passend. Service sehr schnell und zuvorkommend.
