The BBQ burger is highly recommended! Tastes very good and a good portion size. However, fries must be ordered separately. Although the restaurant was busy, the food was delivered quickly and the service was friendly. In summer you can also sit outside.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Italian restaurant Mozzarella & Basilico in Bayreuth and it was a wonderful experience - especially for families with children! Ambience & Service: The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The open pizza area is particularly great, where children can watch the pizza maker at work. The pizza maker was friendly and seemed to have a lot of fun entertaining the children. The wait was reasonable and the staff seemed attentive and engaging. Eat: The pizza was not only delicious, but also creatively designed! An animal-shaped pizza with sweet details of olives, corn and mushrooms was a real highlight for the little ones. The dough was crispy, the topping was fresh, and the presentation was simply lovely. If you are looking for an authentic, homemade pizza with Italian flair, you will definitely find it here. Conclusion: Mozzarella & Basilico is a great restaurant for pizza lovers and is particularly recommended for families with children. The combination of delicious food, friendly service and an interactive experience makes it a great place for a relaxed meal with the family. We'd love to come back!

For me, this is the best pizza in Bayreuth

I didn't think I'd find such good pizza in Germany! Colleague's burger was also good.

Very nicely decorated, friendly staff. The food is quite good and I think it's great that the meat is sourced from the local butcher shop! That rarely happens anymore. However, pasta is not an Italian culinary experience if carbonara is made with cream and this cheap freeze-dried parmesan is supposed to be on the pasta.

I was there for the first time yesterday. Very friendly staff. Excellent quality of the food. Very good price-performance ratio. Absolutely recommended.

The place is on fire for Valentine's Day, that's something you can accept. But the performance was more than weak. Lasagna was cold inside and all 4 pizzas had poor toppings. Thick 3cm border on the outside and everything carelessly tidied up in the middle. Bruschetta was the best. Everything else can be forgotten for the expensive price. 120€ for 5 people.

Please don’t order here I have ordered the Pizza Salami and Prosciutto from this restaurant and got the Wrong Pizza and the Pizza is spoiled and cold (as you can see in the image). When I asked them, they told me the Ubereats will refund since I ordered from there. The Ubereats told me they can’t do anything from their side. The Ubereats and the restaurant both got their money from me and I was the one left with the spoiled and wrong pizza. Pathetic service

Yes, the staff is polite and attentive, the food is consistently delicious (there were nine of us there). The price/performance ratio is right. It is run by a group of friends from Brazil

We ordered pizzas here for lunch because we had something to do nearby. Pre-ordering by telephone went absolutely smoothly, and special requests were also implemented without any problems. The pizzas were ready on time at the agreed time. You can get really excellent, lavishly topped and extremely tasty pizzas here. The dough was perfect - neither too thin nor too thick - and even the crust, which for me is always an indicator of the quality of a pizza, was first class. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating both on the phone and on site. I can only give a first impression of the ambience, but it was extremely positive: modern design with a rustic touch. I would definitely eat here if I were there. Conclusion: I will definitely get a pizza here more often in the future or enjoy it directly on site. Absolutely recommended!

While ordering, carbonated water was served instead of the requested still water. In addition, the fries were unsalted. There was salt on the table, but it didn't stick to the fries enough. The vegan burger was disappointing with a mushy eggplant consistency and a vegetable patty that lacked flavor.

A beautiful little Italian restaurant. The food is super delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and in a good mood. I was in Bayreuth for 3 weeks now and ate there almost every evening. That's why I tried a lot and there wasn't anything that wasn't tasty 👌🏻 There wasn't a day when anyone was in a bad mood. This is how I imagine a wonderful restaurant. At the end there was also a delicious bottle of wine. 🍷 Thank you very much, I would be happy to come back.

So the food and the size of the portion were really very good, had pizza tonno, there was plenty of tuna on it, lots of olives etc. Really recommended. Service was very good for us, but we saw that the table in the corner was hardly noticed and everyone had empty glasses and plates in front of them, which is why 1 point was deducted. As we all know, ambience is a matter of taste. These colorful chairs are nice in themselves 🫣 All in all I would recommend this very good Italian

Edit: A little food poisoning was included for free. I absolutely cannot understand the good reviews. Firstly you weren't even greeted, then the food was unfortunately absolutely not good. The meat tasted sour and rather old. The service wasn't good either, no asking if everything was OK or if you needed anything else. You also had to explicitly tell them that you wanted to pay. Ketchup from these small sachets was only available with the fries upon request. The only good thing was the grape spritzer 🥲. We ate there based on a voucher. I was also sick hours later.

It was my first time there after the change of ownership. The ambience and decoration are still great. Operating staff and service clearly need improvement. My chicken burger with fries was good. It would have been excellent if the bun had been grilled or toasted a little. When you finished eating, there wasn't even the obligatory standard question: Did you like it? I actually expect that in every restaurant. What doesn't work at all is the mini coat rack where all the guests hang their jackets etc. The restaurant still has a lot of potential for improvement ↗️!

So I've eaten there twice in a row now. The cheeseburger and the anripasta plate were both very good. Directly in the pedestrian zone, towards Richard Wagner Str., or coming from there. Parking until 7 p.m. only for a fee and then only a maximum of 2 hours. Nice service, nice atmosphere. Definitely worth it. The last time I was in Bayreuth was in 2015 or 2016 and the restaurant didn't exist then. Prices ok. Large pizzas and all fresh ingredients. Super nice service. It is possible that you may be spoken to in English. Because some waitresses only speak English. Go if you're nearby.

I was there for the first time yesterday. Finally a pizza that is juicy and well topped! Thin bottom in the middle, higher edge. Quattro Stagioni was my choice. Nice service, short waiting times, everything lovingly decorated and set. I would love to come back.

I really enjoy going to Mozzarella e Basilico and have done so for several years. I particularly like that there are always new dishes on the seasonal menu. The staff is always friendly and we now know each other.

Can only be warmly recommended! Inviting ambience inside and outside, always well maintained and clean. Friendly and courteous service. Excellent pizza and pasta, fresh and quality ingredients, good portion sizes and reasonable prices. It was particularly great that the food was always warm and that we were spontaneously welcomed here as a larger group on our last visit. Feels like a short trip to Italy, leaves you with a full stomach and a good mood - you couldn't ask for more. Thanks and keep it up! Edit: Unfortunately it has to be revised. The last two pick-up dishes were really bad. The taste is still quite good, but the appearance is just okay (the slice of ham was simply slapped on whole, boiled ham was used instead of Serrano). With a 15.00 €uro pizza you have to look for the toppings with a magnifying glass (8cm blank edge, seriously?), even the tomato sauce is drastically saved. There were three beautiful long hairs baked into the cheese on a pizza - disgusting. In case you don't know, there are requirements from the health department that long hair must be covered or worn closed in the kitchen. It's a real shame, but quality has to be maintained. Maybe you should read your own reviews every now and then and take them to heart? We won't be coming back.

When eating pizza becomes a luxury and expectations are disappointed. The three of us went for pizza. We also ordered a salad and three drinks. Nothing earth-shattering. Unfortunately, we found that the price-performance ratio was absolutely not justified. The pizzas were clearly topped and the consistency was more like pancake batter. I didn't even notice the mozzarella. The Italian ham was cut way too thick. You can argue about the taste. For us it was neutral in taste. I never actually need salt. Unfortunately here. The salad (del la Casa), -not cheap and the menu reads it as very generous- had the biggest profit margin and was a disappointment. The service was very friendly. We've been there three times already. We thought everyone has a bad day, but the last visit will be the last. Too bad. When we go out to eat, everything should be fine.

My girlfriend had an Insalata and I had the Pizza Mista. Both were simply TOP. Great salad that also serves as a main course and the pizza was super tasty. Fluffy dough and well topped. We will happily eat here again when we are in town. Keep it up...

Unfortunately, pizza was far too dry and didn't taste like much. Even the Aperol Spritz was missing an orange slice.

The service was super friendly and the burger BBQ was amazing. An absolute taste experience!!!! But also absolutely inexpensive. (large portion size!!!) Rarely have I had such a good taste match. The burgers are worth every detour!!!! Absolutely recommended.

In my opinion the best pizza in Bayreuth. There were a lot of wasps and flies outside, but the waitress brought us lit coffee. Unfortunately, the knives are absolutely blunt. Otherwise we were very satisfied.

Were there for the first time today. The pizza was good but nothing special. The service was very bad. The waitresses just talked without a break and didn't even notice that our glasses were empty after just 15 minutes. Nobody came to collect until we had to call for a waitress several times. Not a good first impression - we regretted trying something new and not going to the Adriatic as usual.

Given the rather high prices, we were a little disappointed with what we got. The "pasta with porcini mushrooms" contained mainly mushrooms and a few alibi pieces of porcini mushroom. All the pasta dishes were so sparse that you were still hungry afterwards. The onion rings as a side dish at another meal consisted mostly of breading.

Extremely delicious pizza, original Italian with both crispy and fluffy dough and top quality toppings. Richard Wagner pizza was too melt away and beer like Maisel Weisse was perfect for quenching your thirst. Top

We were here recently for the first time and would love to come back. The food is - apart from the burgers (more on that later) - very, very good. We have rarely eaten such good pizzas and pasta dishes. Why deduct a star? Because of the really miserable burger. You don't have to offer it as an Italian restaurant, but if you do, the quality should be right. In any case, the cheeseburger that my son got was not at all tasty. It tasted like frozen food and the sauce wasn't convincing either. Stick to Italian food, it's really really good! Ambience: in a quieter corner of the pedestrian zone, all in all quite good. Overall, a clear recommendation from us.

Direkt an der Wagnerstrasse mit interessanter Terrasse. Wunderbar gegessen (nostra Insalata Caprese) und dazu einen Pinot Grigio bei 30 Grad im Schatten getrunken. Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung.

How often: only ordered the antipasti plate. It had size and quality and attracted the attention of everyone strolling around and at the table next to it. Very diverse and just right to fill you up but not oversaturate - almost perfect!

We ended up here spontaneously and didn't regret it: great food (pasta and burgers), friendly service! We sat outside at first, but then we went in to eat and it wasn't a problem at all. Two dishes, beer and wine EUR 45, fits! Thank you

Toller Service, leckeres Essen - durch die verschiedenen Gerichte findet bestimmt jeder etwas passendes. Sehr gute Lage im Zentrum von Bayreuth - direkt in der Nähe des Schlosses und des Hofgartens. Wenn man draußen sitzen kann macht es auch unheimlich Spaß das Leben in der Fußgängerzone zu beobachten.

Had dinner for two yesterday, Saturday June 29th, 2024. Insalata Dela Casa and BBQ burger with steakhouse fries... A dream, very very tasty 😋 Plus white wine Pinot Grigio, which we have hardly gotten better anywhere else👍 The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating! All in all, we were completely satisfied and would be happy to come back. There are 5 of us 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Situated in the centre of Bayreuth, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly. The menu was limited, but whatever we had turned out to be quite good, especially the Tiramisu.

Pizza totally soggy and watery. I complained and had the pizza returned, then got a new one exactly the same. Bad taste too. Let us go back. Service only speaks English. Pizza was charged in full. Never again.

Can be done, does not have to be. We recently ate here and were unfortunately very disappointed. The tagliatelle with beef strips was served with a tasteless tomato sauce that could have been cooked better with little effort. Unfortunately the beef strips weren't strips but rather pieces... The pizza was ok in terms of dough, but still far too light on one side and almost too dark on the other. The ham on the mista pizza was some kind of diced ham that consisted more of fat than ham. A pity. We won't be coming back here any time soon, there are much better Italians nearby!

The service is nice and polite. Only after the food was brought could you have asked again or cleared away promptly. The taste of the food is below average. In my opinion, it is an absolute no-go to serve a well-done frozen patty at just under €17 for a burger with fries. The steakhouse fries were comparable to those from the discount store and unfortunately not seasoned. The pasta with burrata and pistachio was okay.

At lunchtime it was very quiet and cozy. The ambience is very nice and the music isn't too loud either. Service simply perfect. The two of us were there spontaneously. We ordered bruschetta as a starter. The white bread was black in places and so hard that you could hardly cut it with a knife. For the main course we had lasagne, which was still cold inside, and tortellini, which were definitely only warmed up briefly. I'm very disappointed because we had an excellent meal there 1-2 years ago, but we definitely won't be visiting the restaurant again. A pity.

Have eaten there several times, both “to go” and in the restaurant, always consistently good. Absolutely recommended store! In my opinion, there is still room for improvement with the burgers, but that's just my opinion 😀 so no star deduction. I find all “Mediterranean” dishes to be very well prepared and of very good quality 👍 See you next time

A bit too bright and open for me. If necessary, a room divider would be nice. The food is fresh and tasty, but not exceptional. But completely okay for the price offered. We'd love to come back
