I deducted one point because the portions were too small for me and it was expensive

Service a little slow but the food is absolutely good. The plating is particular and deserves to be enjoyed with the eyes before the palate.

“Honestly I don't understand how this restaurant deserves a 4.8 rating. That is far too high for this facility. Four of us came very hungry and ordered a set for 130 euros, which was supposedly enough for 5-6 people. But what we got was suitable for a maximum of 3-4 people. We didn't get full at all and it's unclear to us what we paid so much for. The waiters reacted very inappropriately to our feedback that the sushi tasted good but was far too little. First a waiter came, then another and said that we should simply order more if we weren't full - that was our problem after all. The set for 2-3 people includes 64 sushi and costs 65 euros. But in the set for 5-6 people we counted only 75 sushi, and the set costs 130 euros. Even the sashimi was only represented by four pieces, as if the chef had been instructed to limit the set to four people. We were very disappointed. Our request to add more tempura and Philadelphia sushi was not addressed. They also didn't ask about allergies or vegetarian preferences - you could ignore that. The staff, both waiters and the chef, treated us like idiots and insisted that the set was for 5-6 people and was suitable as a "chef's gift" for people who had never tried sushi before - hence it so small. We were told that we had to communicate our preferences to the waiter in advance, even though we had asked for his assistance before ordering and afterward - but our requests were ignored. The manager kept repeating the same thing and didn't really want to listen to us. She interrupted us and said that it was our problem that we weren't full and that the chef or waiter, as human beings, can make mistakes. We told her several times that it wasn't our problem. Our bill for four people with drinks was 162 euros - that's not a small amount. We came in a good mood and wanted to eat tasty and plentiful food, so we ordered a set for 5-6 people, but unfortunately we didn't get that. Customer satisfaction doesn't seem to be a priority here. We will never visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone! “Already at the door we were offered to take two roles with us – to be honest, an absolute circus. But thank you for that too.”

Today we were in this restaurant, the sushi was very tasty, there were a lot of people there in the evening, we had to wait a bit, the service was also good, we ordered a set for 5-6 people, there were four of them, we were very hungry, so we ordered such a big set, they brought it to us and it still turned out small for us, we ate it, it was very tasty, but there wasn't enough of it, we were left hungry, we called the waiter and complained about it, the waiter replied that we can order it, I just change something and pay for it too, it cost 130€, our problem was not at all. We were allowed to leave the restaurant, we went to the boss and complained again, explained our problem to her for about 5 minutes, at the end she offered us a few rolls to take away, when you come, it's better not to order a set, but just sushi, because that might not be enough, the food is very tasty. Everything is great, but the service is not responsive to problems.

The restaurant is not big, you should really order in good time, otherwise there is no chance of free seats. Even during the week it is very busy. Great sushi but upscale prices and limited time We have reserved a table at Mori Moto in Zwickau, which is absolutely necessary at the moment, otherwise it is difficult to get a place. The reservation was uncomplicated and even a subsequent change was accepted without any problems. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the visit pleasant from the start. What was particularly impressive was the opportunity to watch the four sushi chefs at work while we waited for our sushi. We ordered a sushi platter for four people and simply expressed the wish that we would like more fried sushi. The result was excellent, and although it took some time to prepare, the waiting time was absolutely commensurate with the quality. However, despite the good portions, we weren't completely full, which may be due to the smaller quantities. However, this had the advantage that we still had room for dessert. In terms of price, the Mori Moto is in the upper segment. There is also a set period of time in which you have to clear the table because the next guests have already been scheduled. This took away a bit of the relaxed character of our experience. It was also very loud in the dining room, which made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable and spoiled the experience a little. Overall a great experience, but there are small drawbacks due to the price, the limited time at the table and the noise in the dining room.

Hearing mistakes when ordering resulted in the wrong starter (you had to take it, staff wasn't aware of any mistakes, sushi wasn't bad, drinks definitely took too long, mochi ice cream was already very thawed, iced tea was very warm because the tea was still hot and The service was also a bit overwhelming. 130 euros without alcohol for two... I'm not sure if we'll go there again.

This restaurant is located in a shopping street that unfortunately seems very deserted. Many shops are empty. Nevertheless, it was very, very busy on a Monday and that's why we decided to eat there. All the waitresses were very friendly and a table that previous guests had just left was immediately cleared for us. The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait long. Six of us had dinner as a birthday present and had a sushi platter for 5-6 people and a children's dish (karaage with rice), i.e. fried chicken. First of all, we were informed of a time limit of 90 minutes when making the reservation. I find that a bit unpleasant, but at least it's fair, we could have decided differently. We received a friendly welcome in the restaurant, the service was good, although a bit too much. Japanese-style restraint would be good here. The drinks were standard, the presentation was fine. True to the principle of time pressure, at least you don't have to wait long for food. But then the disillusionment follows. The platter, as beautifully presented as it is, is perhaps enough for 4, or for 3 if you are a good eater. At the price of 129.90 you get perfectly tasted sushi, but not nearly the same value in terms of product. We were also asked beforehand what we didn’t want. (Spicy and little to no chicken, definitely not duck) - Well, we didn't have any duck. But more than half chicken and spicy. Then please don't ask, just call it Omakase. The karaage for the child was chewy, tasted okay. Whatever was in there, the chef should practice releasing it. Or pound the meat a little or otherwise make it more tender. We had barely taken the last sushi off the plate before the thing was pulled off the table. Efficiency is very important. We then had dessert somewhere else. Despite a decent bill and not exactly a small tip (afterwards I'm annoyed about the amount), nothing like a nightcap was offered. We even gave feedback that the portion was quite puny. The reaction was muted. Unfortunately I expect more in the price range. For anyone who feels the same way, there is the sushi shop at the other end of the street. It's not that fancy, but the service is better and the price is fairer. Just as a note, the food is really good, although heavily Europeanized (fried sushi, hardly any dashi, chicken and duck sushi). The only thing that doesn't match the price is the portion sizes. And the service could be “more pleasant”.

Unfortunately it's no longer the same as it was at the beginning😢very loud in there, tables are only wiped down upon request and cutlery/chopsticks only come after the food has already been served. A pity.

Endlich habe ich es ausprobiert - das MORI MOTO in Zwickau und ich bin überwältigt! Ohne Bestellung wurde uns an einem Donnerstagabend einer der wenigen freien Tische schnell zugewiesen. Die Kellnerin war sehr freundlich und erklärte uns die Karte und die verschiedenen Gerichte. Wir hatten genügend Zeit zum Auswählen der Speisen und Getränke. Schon die Vorspeise hat uns überrascht. Frisch zubereitet, hübsch angerichtet und sehr schmackhaft. Eine gute Entscheidung. Als Hauptgericht habe ich ein Curry aus gebackenen Tofu mit Gemüse und Reis gewählt. Ein herrlicher Duft verströmte, als das Essen serviert wurde. Die Portion ist als reichlich zu bezeichnen. Der Teller war äußerst dekorativ angerichtet und das Essen selbst war für mich eine GAUMENEXPLOSION!!! So ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis ist unübertrefflich und einfach weltklasse! Für Zwickau unglaublich und jederzeit einen weiteren Besuch wert. Das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Die Einrichtung des Restaurants ist sehr ansprechend und wirkt hochwertig. Außerdem möchte ich die Sauberkeit in allen Bereichen des Restaurants loben. Vielen Dank!

We had to wait quite a long time to order and the portions were rather manageable. The taste is okay, but nothing more. The sushi rice was a little overcooked. The poke bowl with mixed fish was very manageable and had mostly salmon instead of tuna and shrimp. The sushi with shrimp was also too thinly sliced ​​and simply too expensive overall. From the outside, the dishes were excellently prepared. Unfortunately no recommendation for a repeat visit.

I visited Mori Moto on the recommendation of a friend. I've been making sushi myself for six years and wanted to see what it was like there. Here is my conclusion: Rice: - mushy, cold, little, barely soured Fish: - Cutting technique OK - Salmon was okay - all other fish (bream, butterfish, tuna, squid) were noted as having been in the freezer for too long: - no texture - no noticeable taste Uramaki (Inside Out) - relatively small - lots of heavily pressed rice - Filling with marinade has hardly any noticeable taste Ambiance: - pleasant - the nigiri were served on old bamboo roll mats - important (!): At the beginning there was a dog in the restaurant (which probably belonged to a waitress). In addition to the unpleasant barking, I have to honestly say that for hygiene reasons it seems questionable to me to have a dog next to the fresh fish counter. A waiter also petted the animal and then brought food. Btw: We also had tempura shrimp that were not prepared in batter but in normal breadcrumbs - it was more like fish fingers. Conclusion: If you have little experience with sushi and Japanese cuisine and prefer western sushi with lots of sauces and flavors, you might be satisfied here. But you really won't find authentic Japanese sushi here.

The varieties we tried all went together harmoniously, making it difficult to pick a favorite. The ingredients are fresh and taste very good. Unfortunately, points are deducted for the ambience. The demand for a table is very high, so, according to visitors, the number of seats has been increased. Sometimes you sit close to other guests and it's quite loud, which destroys any romantic expectations. If you don't expect this, you'll get your money's worth. The lamp above our table also flickered, but this is not included in the rating. In terms of food, a very clear recommendation.

We were visiting Zwickau and were recommended this restaurant. We were there in the afternoon and got a table without any problem. The soup as a starter was very tasty and aromatic. The combination we ordered was delivered as a beautifully decorated sushi plate, which left us well fed. It's always a nice feeling to eat good sushi. Here the price-performance ratio is right and the friendliness goes hand in hand with the good food. The only point is you soy sauce. We found them a bit thin, light and very salty. It's always very good in Morimoto, discovered by chance and found to be really good. You should make a reservation a little earlier, I mean from 5 p.m. as the restaurant fills up during the evening and it gets very loud.

Wir haben uns mit der Familie im Mori Moto verabredet und hatten ein Kind (2,5 Jahre) dabei. Das Personal war sehr umsichtig, es gab sofort den Kinderstuhl und natürlich separates Besteck etc. Die Auswahl ist riesig und im ersten Moment weiß man nicht was man nehmen soll, einmal fündig geworden, wird man nicht enttäuscht. Alles was wir hatten, war ein Geschmackserlebnis. Super frisch zubereitet, sieht man beim Blick über die Theke und schnell und sehr freundlich serviert. Ja, es ist nicht preiswert, aber es ist ja auch ein Japaner und am Ende hat es sich gelohnt. Sogar unsere Kleine hat an dem einen oder anderen Teil auf ihrem Räuberteller Geschmack gefunden. Man sollte unbedingt bestellen und es lohnt ein Besuch. Demnächst soll es die Kinderkarte geben, wir sind schon gespannt und kommen sicher wieder.

Die große Auswahl perfekt zubereiteter und ästhetisch angerichteter Speisen, ein freundlicher und kompetenter Service, zügige Bedienung sowie der ausgezeichnete Geschmack sprechen für sich. Abzüge gibt es für die recht beengten Platzverhältnisse im dennoch stilvoll eingerichteten Gastraum sowie das nur kurze Zeitfenster der Bewirtung. Wartezeiten müssen in Kauf genommen werden, ohne Reservierung geht es ohnehin nicht. Kulinarisch ein Gewinn für Zwickau.

Super tolle Gerichte, frisch und sehr schmackhaft. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Manchmal, wenn es richtig voll ist, also meistens, ist die Lautstärke unschön. Vielleicht ist da was mit kleinen Raumteilern oder Schallschutz zu machen. Wir kommen gern.
