Moosacher Paradies in München

The Moosacher Paradies was one of my favorite restaurants in the area for a long time. The food is good, the service is usually friendly, and the atmosphere pleasant. But what's happening with the prices these days is unfortunately beyond comprehension. A kilo of veal, which recently cost €44, is now listed on the menu for €65 – a full 47% more, a massive price jump. The Cordon Bleu is also suddenly at a whopping €26, and a side dish like ajvar or kajmak, which was normally included with cevape or other dishes, is now charged an extra €1.50. I understand rising costs, but this price development is simply excessive. The quality is still good, but the value for money is no longer there. It's a shame – the restaurant is unfortunately losing some of its appeal.

Balkan food at its finest. Delicious, plentiful, good.

The food was okay and between 3 and 4 stars. The service was quite slow, and the restaurant was a bit dirty (food under the tables, trash cans full in the restroom, and paper on the floor). Generally very noisy. Unfortunately, there was a family sitting behind me who thought it was appropriate to play a tablet loudly to keep their child quiet.

Very, very spacious and also has a Biergarten. The food is a bit pricey but good quality and fair portions. Service was quite quick and friendly.

Were there for the first time. The first impression was very positive. We really liked the attractive ambience, beautiful colors and the rustic seating. The menu, i.e. the number of dishes on offer, is overwhelming at first. We ordered veal skewer with 4 cevapcici and fries and a grill plate. . The veal on the skewer was pale without any roasted flavors. 2 pieces of meat were inedible because they were completely fatty and stringy. The cevapcici were good, but the preparation is really not rocket science. The fries were soggy. The grill plate was very generous; for our taste, the restaurant impresses with quantity rather than quality. If you like quantity at reasonable prices, this is probably the right place for you. It's nothing for us. Mass, but not class!

Service and kitchen were extremely rude and the bread and cevapcici were swimming in fat Four of us ate there and afterward we all had extreme stomach problems for three days About 2 years ago it was the best Balkan restaurant in the city and today it is one of the worst Too bad!

At least Ajvar has to be there!

Waiter doesn't even write down order and then brings the order wrong. The worse thing is actually that you wait almost an hour for the food. People aren't friendly here either

Was visiting this restaurant for the first time today and certainly the last time. We had to wait over 1.5 hours for our food and even when we asked the staff we were always put off. When the food finally arrived, the bad impression that had been created until now was unfortunately confirmed. The fries were cold and not seasoned. Unfortunately, most of the meat was frozen and also cold. For just under thirty euros, which I paid for the dish, it's really a joke what you get served.

This place is our regular place. Unfortunately this time we sat in the winter garden next to the patio door. Why this made the whole experience extremely worse: The restaurant offers various smoking options: Main entrance and further terrace access (not accessible directly next to a table). Therefore, being placed right here was beyond annoying and annoying. This door was opened every 4 minutes and kept open all the time because people wanted to talk at the gap in the door. Apart from freezing you to death, this cigarette smoke also blew in. The staff who distributed the seats were rudely turned away. But our personal waiter was absolutely friendly and did a great job. When people are placed there, give them a little kindness, a nice smile and a coffee for the nerves you have to muster. To eat: This time I ordered an arrabiata for the first time and it wasn't bad :) you can absolutely order there if you feel like it, but don't expect a culinary delight ;) If you want to pay separately, you have to do this at the checkout and calculate it yourself beforehand. Personally, I think it's fair for a large group to relieve the waiters a little :)

We waited for our food for 45 minutes, when we asked the waiter what the problem was, he said that it was Iftar and that the guests who came after us were getting their food before us, I don't understand what kind of excuse that should be. The ordered squids arrived with bones and sand, which means they were not cleaned at all. The waiter didn't apologize either for the uncleaned squid or for the delay, of course we had to pay for everything regularly, even though there were several incidents...

Top restaurant that I can only recommend!

When it comes to really good Balkan barbecue, this is absolutely the right place! Went there in the evening and ate the platter for four people. Everything was great, the star was deducted simply because it was very crowded. Therefore, always reserve in good time!

Anyone looking for excellent Balkan food (Croatian, Bosnian) is in the best hands here. Vegetarians will despair here because there are so many delicious meat dishes to eat. My recommendation is the Ćevapčići (grilled rolls of minced meat and a meat dish popular in Southeast Europe and the Middle East, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, etc.). The restaurant is always very busy, even though it's right next to the sports field. A spare newspaper is recommended.

The shop interior and ambiance are clean and pleasant, and the outdoor area is fine. In the store, you have to draw attention to yourself to be served quickly. The employees aren't exactly the most motivated or enthusiastic, but they do their job. Pre-ordering and then picking up the food isn't as easy as it is in other stores. Sometimes the phone is constantly busy at off-peak times. The best part is, I think, the Cevape is one of the best in Munich.

Either the boss gets greedy or being cheap is cool. Nowadays you pay €1 extra for Ayvar or a papričica. Not long ago, when you order something like Čevape, it was included in the price. He's definitely in his shop, but we have character and style, so we'll be looking for a new location in the future. Čevape were mostly good, I can recommend them. Other mothers also have beautiful daughters.

After waiting a month for our reservation, we were turned away as a family because our name was supposedly not on the list. After I complained we were offered a table in the basement next to a laundry room. We politely declined and said goodbye. As we were leaving, a small, blonde waitress called out to us that we weren't dependent on us and that she didn't care if we came back.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. We reserved a table for four people a month in advance, but upon arrival we found out that our name was not entered on the list. As an alternative, we were offered a place in the basement, at a table designed for two people, in a dark corner, which was extremely inappropriate. Our attempt to express our dissatisfaction was not understood - the waitress rudely replied that she was not at all interested in the opinion of the guests about the restaurant with the word "SCHEISS EGAL". We consider this approach to guests unprofessional and disappointing and, unfortunately, we will not visit again.

Food very tasty but way too expensive. Ordered the 4-piece platter twice for 7 people and the meat wasn't enough for us.

There were two of us on Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was about 80% full. However, there was space for two guests several times, which I noticed. If there are 4 guests or more, it would probably be better to reserve a table. For anyone who wants to eat something other than meat, I can recommend this salmon fillet with fried cherry tomatoes and butter ice cream. The rice was a bit too dry, but overall it tasted really good. The service was very friendly even though there was a lot to do. The ambience is very nice. You are welcome to come back there.

I was there last Sunday with 10 people, specially driven from Regensburg, service was catastrophe, food wasn't cooked enough, lamb wasn't cooked through, only local was ok, otherwise never again, Shum ka qen Arrigant kamarierat,

Unfortunately, our reservation confirmed by telephone could not be found. Since we were relatively early and the restaurant is very spacious, they still found a place for us. The portions are generous and the taste is okay. Unfortunately, for the rather moderate price, it didn't blow me away personally. I mean this in a neutral way, but on that day and for my taste the price was more about quantity than quality. Unfortunately, I also found it difficult to feel comfortable with the rather sober “hospitality”. Glasses remained empty, empty plates were not cleared away for a long time and I had to wipe out the bowl for packing leftover food myself. Given the ambience and the “show” (someone who meets you at the front and accompanies you to the table and certainly 7-10 service staff), this is better/friendlier. And no, I'm not going to accept "cultural excuses" here. I am welcome in a good restaurant and notice a reserved but pleasant presence and the desire to sell me food and drinks. Nevertheless: I would probably give the restaurant a second chance. Because the concept, the location and one or two dishes have potential.

It's a good thing we were there at 12:00 and barely managed to get a table; shortly afterwards every seat was taken. Large canteen atmosphere with far too loud “radio music” included. It's just strange that there were reserved signs on various tables. Apparently it only comes with vitamin B b) The waitress walked past our table several times in the still moderately full restaurant without being busy, even though we were waiting to order with closed cards in front of the drinks. Ordering food only after our explicit request, as well as repeat orders. Too bad. c) Main argument food. We had cevapcici and grill plates. It didn't taste like anything, really nothing, all the mince wasn't completely cooked through, the supposed veal was tough and streaky, etc. and I've had a stone in my stomach since eating it. The motto here is probably just a lot of cheap meat, no matter how it tastes. d) They say you can access the kitchen from the toilets. Would fit into the picture. Sticky, sticky floor and lots of... You feel like you're on vacation. The restaurant is particularly popular with Croatians. Very lively and well attended. Beautiful heated winter garden and lovely furnishings. You will also be greeted in Croatian. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre, the roast veal from the oven was great, the other dishes we had were so-so. Maybe try again and we were just a little unlucky. Because many Croatians swear by it.

The staff in charge of reservations have a behavior that is not very pleasant, I made a reservation 6 days before and when I arrived at the restaurant they told me that there is no reservation in my name, but after I proved it to them that there is a phone call with them, they make you wait until a free seat is released. An attitude that leaves a lot to be desired, and for that reason, he didn't deserve a second chance yet...

I wanted to make a reservation for a birthday for 10 people on a Tuesday and they coldly asked me for a deposit of 300 euros??? Still rude on the phone so sorry but can't explain the good reviews.

I was recently in Moosacher Paradies and I was absolutely thrilled! The food was excellent, especially the Balkan specialties were a delight. The meat dishes were juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the sides were fresh and filling. I was also impressed by the ambience: cozy, inviting and with a pleasant atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Despite the busy restaurant, we were served quickly. Price-performance is really great here! Large portions at fair prices. I will definitely come back and can recommend Moosacher Paradies to anyone who wants to enjoy good Balkan cuisine in Munich.

The food in Moosacher Paradies is always excellent. No matter what we ordered, it was always delicious and very fresh. That's exactly why we come here to eat regularly, at least once a month. The ambience is also very pleasant and contributes to a nice overall experience. Unfortunately, we have to say that the service has deteriorated extremely since around 2023 - and this continues to this day. The service seems unprofessional, unfriendly and often as if they just wanted to “process” us quickly. It has happened to us several times that when we were given the menu it was suggested that we should take a platter or Ćevapčići because it would be quicker. When we ordered something else, we felt like we were being looked at with dislike or even “hatred.” We particularly noticed a waiter who was very arrogant and condescending. We particularly remember two situations: 1st birthday with cake: Next to us was a larger family who had ordered a cake from the cake cupboard for a friend because it was his birthday. Even though the cake had been ordered long ago, it simply didn't come. After the friend had already left, the family spoke to the waiter. Instead of apologizing, he said arrogantly: "Just by the way, we'll pay for your mistake with the cake." When the family corrected that it wasn't their mistake, the waiter became visibly angry and started arguing loudly with them called her a liar several times and extremely loudly (probably with the intention of everyone watching) - in front of the other guests. We were horrified and felt very uncomfortable ourselves after this scene, so we wanted to leave the restaurant as quickly as possible. 2. Christmas Season and Inappropriate Comments: In the run-up to Christmas, a large company was visiting our area, probably for a Christmas dinner. The boss of the company struck us as extroverted and jokingly asked the waiter where his tie was. The waiter laughed, but soon several waiters gathered at the nearby service table. There we heard - unintentionally, due to the volume - the same waiter insulting the company boss in Bosnian. One sentence in particular stuck in our minds: “Vidiš ti guzonje šta on sebi umišlja, misli ko je ko on…” and other very derogatory comments that we don’t want to repeat here. That was just unprofessional and disrespectful. In summary: We like coming to Moosacher Paradies because the food and the ambience are always great. But the service - especially the waiter mentioned - is a big problem and has disappointed us several times. We hope that urgent improvements are made here, because something like this shouldn't happen in a restaurant that offers such excellent food.

Takes 3 hours for food to arrive

Went there at short notice today without a reservation, received a very friendly welcome and there was room for two. Although the restaurant was very busy, the service was very good, and the food came quickly and was of very good quality. Will definitely come back.

During the phone call I was told to come and wait for half an hour and then they just hung up on me in my face, even though I still had questions. So if you can't even make a proper phone call, you shouldn't run a restaurant.

The food in the Moosacher Paradies was very good and impressed us with its taste. The dishes were freshly prepared and attractively presented. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. The staff was unfriendly and brought us the bill without asking immediately after we had cleared away the food. I have never experienced this before and found it very rude. Overall a mixed experience - excellent food but service could be significantly improved.

I went to dinner with my wife last night because we wanted to have a nice evening. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The service was unprofessional and very unfriendly. Food prices are exorbitantly high and the portions served are small and of poor quality. When we asked the waitress about something unclear about the menu, she couldn't help us. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. It's a real shame and unfortunately I can't recommend your restaurant.

Extremely overpriced, but very average food. The schnitzel was not bad, but can be done better at home. The rice was tasteless and mush, the "rahmsoße" was just a splash of something. Would not dine here again.

We went there for the Christmas party on a recommendation from colleagues. The restaurant is really nice inside, but it is also very loud. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't speak any German, but he was very on the ball and made every effort to fulfill every wish. Unfortunately the cevapcici in the bread was very greasy, especially the bread. But the taste of the cevape was good. Overall the evening was quite good, but we probably won't come again.
