We were staying at the hotel across the street because of our trip. A very friendly reception right outside the door made us feel immediately welcome. They were also very accommodating when ordering drinks, and they gave us great recommendations, as did the food. They gave us good advice on the size of the dishes and how to fit our appetite. Very good value for money. The decor, etc., was appropriate for a dinner. We felt very comfortable. You should definitely go and eat there in person.

I ordered via Lieferando, the order never arrived and when I inquired by phone, there was no attempt to accommodate me.

The food never arrived. After 1.5 hours, we called and were given some excuse. That's not how service should be.

The food is good but not outstanding, the service is also good, the ambiance is quite nice, but it needs more appropriate music and the staff should be dressed accordingly for a 5-star rating in terms of ambiance.

Wanted me to order online and say pick up in order to get food and a table. I asked if there is a charge for this and they said yes. Restaurant was completely empty for the four days we were in the area so I am assuming locals don't go there and the food must be stale.

I actually wanted a late breakfast, but it turned out to be a truly delicious cheeseburger. The Indian chai they recommended afterward was absolutely delicious—sweet and wonderfully spiced, a little trip to India... Thank you so much for the warm welcome.

This is an Indian + American restaurant. The American food was mediocre. They do NOT accept credit cards. Hot and stuffy inside and we were constantly harassed by a couple flies.

I've been a fan of the Monkey Diner for a long time. But yesterday I tried the Indian menu for the first time. It was incredibly delicious 🤤 I particularly liked the Indian vegetable soup. Try the Indian menu, too. It's worth it 😋

A primarily Indian restaurant/bistro disguised as an American diner. In addition to various Indian dishes, they also serve burgers and loaded fries. The food is relatively good, and the mango lassi is actually quite good. The staff were generally very helpful. The biggest annoyance was the pervasive smell of urine.

Price/performance ratio for run-of-the-mill food isn't quite balanced, especially in terms of price. The burgers tasted okay overall, but the meat wasn't of sufficient quality as it was very gristly. Side dishes like fries had to be ordered separately, and the portions were rather small. Dips/sauces were also extra, such as sour cream for €2. In addition to the burger, we also had Indian food. The taste was okay. We had to reorder rice, but the reorder was just a small bowl, again for an extra €4.50. A large bottle of water (0.75l) for €7.10 was almost cheeky. Ordered sparkling water, but it didn't come out. Probably tap water. Drinks were expensive overall. Service was friendly and nothing to complain about. Overall, the price was a bit too high for the quality offered.

Super cool place! Super relaxed service, totally open-hearted and friendly, giving excellent advice when you can't decide for yourself. We were very impressed with the burgers. My boyfriend rarely finishes his meal, but he couldn't put this one down, which says a lot. The chili cheese nachos were also very good; we'll be happy to come back if we're ever in the area again.

Three years ago, on our first visit, we got full marks.

Super unfriendly staff when asked if we could order food, the answer was "if we have to" and we also got a burger with a used plaster on the plate. After we pointed this out, the plate was changed without apology and from then on we were just looked at angrily and no one came to us anymore. You could only pay with a card reluctantly. Were there with a large group. The menu sounded good and the food was also very good. The prices were sometimes a bit "excessive", you had to order and pay for side dishes separately for burgers and a portion of "Loaded Fries" was clearly too small for almost €10. The ambience also left something to be desired. There were still old birthday decorations hanging and on the way to the toilet you could look into the messy scullery. The most unpleasant thing was the service. We waited about 90 minutes for our food, orders were forgotten, a waitress suddenly walked around with a down jacket. In general the service was rather cold towards us. It was also announced to us when we made our reservation that card payment was not possible (according to the restaurant for a short time, according to the reviews for a long time). We definitely wouldn't come here again.

Greetings everyone… The location is American 🇺🇸 Standard… Red seating areas and colorful lights. The menu had almost everything from burgers to schnitzel to curry 🍛, you know what I'm getting at. We were eating as a couple and we both really had a lot of “charcoal steam”. We had a “Monkey Burger” and a “Fat Monkey Burger”. There are no side dishes with the burger; these had to be ordered separately. I also ordered curly fries with garlic sauce. The burgers were advertised as “medium well” on the menu. Both burgers were “well done”. The burgers tasted OK. Unfortunately I had two cartilages in the patty, which doesn't really speak for the quality of the minced meat. We had a cocktail 🍹 to drink: “Moscow Mule” - very watery and misinterpreted 😑 (I saved the photo!) The food came to the table quickly and hot. We paid €60 for two (two drinks, two burgers, curly fries with garlic sauce and 10% TIP: Too expensive 🫰, I had better burgers for less money 🍔

Very, very good Indian food including Indian dessert and Indian beer. The guys who serve are more than nice and it's a pleasure to eat there. It was our first time there, but not the last time. I can only repeat, the Indian food is really really good.

After a walk we just wanted something to drink. The cappuccino and the latte took 20 minutes (we had to quickly buy milk first). We then ordered 3x fries. That wasn't necessarily the right thing to do, because they tasted like old fat... we were the only guests and unfortunately we had the feeling that it was inappropriate to come. It's a shame, because the shop is nicely decorated (American diner style). Well, maybe this post will help the owner change something...

Ordered there, admittedly a little late, but still within opening hours. After waiting for an hour we called, the staff was extremely unfriendly and almost insulted us and even threatened us. Of course the food didn't come and we definitely won't be ordering there anymore.

I ordered food from this restaurant via Lieferando on November 17th, 2024. It was 10:56 p.m., the order was accepted and I waited over an hour for the food, and then called there to be told by the gentleman on the phone that my €38 Order no longer arrives... Then I wanted my money back and he started threatening me over the phone that he had my address and was coming over to punch me in the face... In that case I will never order from this store again, and I would I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to be treated like a human!!!

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. When we made the reservation we were told that we had to bring cash with us as card payments were not possible. Given the high prices, we expected at least good food - but the opposite was the case. The food was overpriced and of poor quality. When it came to dessert, the waitress informed us that it came from a bag and was not homemade - unfortunately that's exactly how it tasted. Overall, everything was inedible and not recommended. One star is actually too many.

Interesting restaurant with an American touch, with Indian leadership and international cuisine. The restaurant is located in an industrial area directly opposite the Hotel Sleep ONE and the Jump'n Fly, Tiggolino and Schwarzlicht Minigolf event halls.

Discovered by chance when we had an overnight stay at the Hotel Sleep(be)One in Frankfurt. The diner is right next to the hotel. Very good service. The atmosphere was really cool and our food was delicious. You have the choice between American and Indian. If we are in the area again we would be happy to come back.

We got off the highway to take a long meal break. The food was delicious, the service was very nice and attentive and the ambience was okay too. A bit too dark for my taste and the smell (and the offering) of Indian food in an American diner was a bit strange. The diner and the toilets were clean, but if you took a quick look into the kitchen/laundry room you weren't sure whether things would be just as clean there. Unfortunately, parking spaces are also rare.

1/5 Stars - Disappointing Experience I'm extremely disappointed with my recent visit there. The burgers we ordered were inedible, with old vegetables that caused stomach issues afterwards. This is a far cry from the good old days, a couple of years ago, when they served up classic American fare that actually tasted good. What's even more confusing is that they've added an Indian menu to an American diner. It's like they've lost their identity and are trying to be everything to everyone. Unfortunately, it seems like they're not doing anything well. Needless to say, I won't be returning back anytime soon. If you're looking for a decent burger and a reliable dining experience, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

After our vacation, we spontaneously looked for a restaurant and found this one. Unfortunately, the first impression from the outside is not very appealing - you should invest a little time and money as soon as possible. But if you don't let this put you off, you will be pleasantly surprised both culinary and personally. I or we would go there again at any time, but unfortunately we have a journey of around 375 km.

Sometimes you're amazed at the hidden places where you can get good food. The Monkey Diner really doesn't look good, but the mix of Indian and American cuisine is very well done. The kitchen has both directions very well under control. We were just as surprised by the Indian dishes as we were by the burgers. The whole thing in an industrial area that doesn't seem very inviting.

We landed here by chance on the way back from the airport and were pleasantly surprised because there is very, very good Indian cuisine here!!! Here the boss personally cooks original and traditional fresh and extraordinarily tasty dishes! Absolute insider tip! The burgers and schnitzels are also very good. The junior manager served us in a friendly and courteous manner. Highly recommended!

This restaurant doesn’t accept Mastercard which is ridiculous. I had to go in a car with one of the staff to get cash from an ATM leaving my teenagers behind. I was also charged €6.50 for a bottle of tap water. Avoid this place

Went here for dinner with the grandchildren after visiting the trampoline park. The boys had burgers and I had Indian...the food was simply delicious and I really regret that I live 300km away...otherwise this would have definitely become my new favorite restaurant. The service was exceptionally courteous.

It looks American, but it's a lovely fusion of India, Germany and America with all the signature dishes and some more specialised dishes. My Butter chicken was one of the best I've ever had, my Mother in law really liked her first schnitzel and my son and husband had very nice ribs and buffalo wings. Just make sure you bring cash since they don't accept cards.

If there was a rate less than 0, I woud have chosen it. I made an order via lieferando. Later, I received an email that the order was cancelled. When I called the restaurant, I did not understand totally the man. I asked for more clarification but he hung up the phone on me!!! I tried for 2 more times and it was the same attitude!!! Last time I called and waited for him to apologise or something but instead he sweared at me and hung up the phone!!!!

The food wasn't bad at all, although the spareribs still had silver skin on them and the chocolate milkshake we ordered turned out to be just plain cocoa. The atmosphere was really cool and we really liked it. The two service guys were also really great. However, what didn't work for us at all and was also an absolute knockout criterion was a farting employee who didn't even apologize for it and, minutes later, bluntly let his flatulence run wild again while the guests were eating next to them. It's a shame, but that's why only 1 star

Menu offers far too much choice! Garlic fries are very good. Burger was very tasty, tasted exactly right. It could have just been a little hotter, but everyone feels differently. Schnitzels were good. Portions were large. We will be back.

The restaurant not only offers delicious dishes, but also a wonderful atmosphere. The extensive menu leaves nothing to be desired and the food is really diverse and delicious. It is noticeable that the restaurant is run by a warm family team, as the entire staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. All in all we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this restaurant. We had absolutely nothing to complain about!

There is a wide variety of food and the food is good too. But everything doesn't feel so clean. Visually everything looks old. You don't get the feeling of being in an American diner.

The burgers are not good. The meat has tons of cartilage and doesn't taste great. The Indian food is ok. You should be prepared for long waiting times, whether at the diner or via delivery.

Well... somehow I had read something about "American dinner"... But actually it is a fast food snack like there are thousands of them. Every type and nationality of food on the menu but unfortunately nothing special or good.

It was our first time eating there again since the shop was run by new owners (two years now). I had registered a larger group of 17 people a week in advance and communicated the exact group size again the day before the reservation. We were assured of the gallery on the phone. When we got there nothing was prepared. The tables did not have menus or cutlery. The order was recorded traditionally with paper and pen. After the starters were served and eaten, we waited. And waited. After more than an hour we asked when the main course, which mainly consisted of burgers, would be served. The food arrived very slowly after another 10 minutes. When the last person in our group was finally served his burger, quite a few people had already finished their meal. Note that we were the only ones in the store except for six other guests. At the end we ordered 3 tequilas as the rest had to drive. Only after we asked and explained were we given the salt and lemons. Payment didn't go smoothly either. We paid individually and my partner and I were informed that we could only pay in cash because the EC machine wasn't working. Our order was added up using a calculator. Only when we asked for a receipt was it entered into the tablet and the EC device then worked. Regarding the interior design, I would like to mention that everything, and I mean everything, looks exactly the same as it did when it opened about 10 years ago. I was able to admire the sequin-covered bottles on the refrigerator during my first visit to the first owner. The fact that the ambience was retained is very nice. The style of the diner is great. Unfortunately, the fabric furniture is no longer that clean after all these years and the dust is probably seen as decoration. The meal was okay. The spare ribs advertised on the menu as "falling off the bone" tasted okay, but weren't what you'd expect. The burgers were probably pretty good. The curly fries were very tasty. These are my honest words and I wouldn't have spent the evening there with my friends if I had known beforehand how it would be. Very unfortunate. Our group will not see the store again in the future.

Food was OUTSTANDING! Had the curry. Their card machine wasn't working (should've said that before we ordered) lucky for them I had enough cash for everyone with me. Else wise....... they would've been butt (they wouldn't post it with the "A" word 🙄) out! 🤷

We were already there, picked up and now finally, and for the last time, ordered. Two stars based on previous experiences, which were okay to good. The fries were completely soft and soggy because the packaging doesn't fit and collects condensation. So crisp it up in the pan while we get started on the burgers. When we repeatedly bit on cartilage and then I pulled a small piece of bone or cartilage out of the meat, it was over. That is not how it works. Since we didn't finish the meal, I wouldn't give it a star today. A pity

I ordered delivery, when it arrived I asked if there was cutlery and was told yes, to discover later no cutlery had been provided. As someone from out of town how am I supposed to eat the food? Secondly, the food was very expensive for what was served and was mediocre at best. Both dishes were under salted and had minimal flavour. I’m confused by the reviews here because this was a terrible experience, they charged so much and gave me such terrible food and don’t even give cutlery and lied about it when I asked if they had.
