Mondo Pazzo in Berlin

I loved my visit to Mondo! The ambience is modern and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and professional, which made the stay particularly pleasant. The food was excellent: fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced in taste and creatively prepared. I was particularly impressed by the variety on the menu - everyone will find something to suit them. Overall, a real highlight that I can only recommend to everyone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Very cramped, service very friendly, but the spaghetti was too dente and only 2 shrimps

Incredibly rude service! Before writing this review, I looked at other reviews - apparently our case is not an isolated one. I don't know if the owner reads the reviews, but I've never experienced such rude and disrespectful service. There were three of us and we just wanted to eat comfortably and drink wine. The restaurant wasn't full, there were only two tables outside. Nevertheless, the waiter sat us at a tiny table in the passage, even though there were many better seats available. Luckily another waiter came later and gave us a more comfortable table. The food was ok - truffle pasta (a bit too much oil), octopus with calamari and finally a delicious tiramisu. But the horror began when paying: They simply turned off the light on the terrace and brought the card reader. We wanted to give the tip in cash, but the waiter suddenly became really rude and asked in annoyance whether there was anything wrong with us - obviously because we hadn't given a tip by card. Shortly afterwards he shouted something in Italian, and another waiter immediately came and asked us in a super unfriendly tone to clear the table immediately. We were totally shocked but just left. And the best part? We later saw that we were charged for two espressos that we never ordered! I have never experienced such poor service - absolutely not recommended!

Unfriendly waiters. Always check the receipt when paying. You will be surprised there in the form of coffee that you did not order, or something similar.

THIS PLACE IS A FRAUD!Yesterday went there with girls for dinner. Everything was ok in the beginning. The staff was very impolite and was very aggressive when we apparently didn’t leave enough tips. Moreover, there was 7€ for espresso in our receipt that we DID NOT ORDER. I regret coming there and leaving any tips at all. Please don’t go there if you want to have a nice evening. There are plenty of other Italian places where the service and food is way better.

Please do yourself a favor and have their antipasti starter and their mozzarella. It was so delicious. My main course, the lasagna, was delicious :) The service is great as well. Definitely a restaurant that I can recommend:)

No dogs! And no children after 8 p.m.! ... says the managing director: the owner is exercising his property rights in this respect. This can't be real Italian. I can't say anything about the food because we skipped it.

Big disappointment! Service left a lot to be desired. Truffle pasta was covered in oil and you could barely see the truffles. The Fellini pasta didn't go well with it at all and my husband is Italian himself. Plates were cleared too quickly. You had the feeling of being unwanted. We will NOT COME BACK! Too bad about the money.

Italian restaurant with a good menu, and impressive wine list and a cosy - although a by crowded - atmosphere. Rather high prices, but a solid choice for italian food lovers.

Food is good, small portions, depending on what you order! Sunny nice terrace depending on the weather but still sunny till 4pm during winter! All good to have an nice dinner or lunch! Lunch menu good prices!!!

One of my favorites in Berlin for Italian cuisine. Always friendly service, great food and good wine.

There were six of us in the restaurant today. Very nice atmosphere and nicely decorated. Unfortunately the waiters were underground. After one of us bit into a finger's breadth of chili with his Linguine Frutti di Mare, which was not noted or mentioned anywhere, the other waiters made fun of the guest in Italian. The problem is not that the dish contained chili, but rather how it was handled. It's stupid if the guests understand Italian ;) Basically, in two out of three pasta dishes at the table, the pasta was either way too cooked or too hard. You expect more from an Italian.

Excellent in cuisine, ambience, atmosphere and perfect service. A soothing island in the gastro jungle. I'd love to come back!

A classic in Berlin. Attention: there is no pizza! But the pasta dishes are even better. You can never go wrong here.

At some point the fun stops! 6.50 € for a 0.2 liter Cola Zero, with all understanding for the costs of the catering industry; But that is completely exaggerated. For us it was definitely the last visit to this restaurant, as I will no longer support this price policy. And the nice thing about it is that we have enough alternatives in Charlottenburg, but the innkeeper doesn't have endless guests

A few days ago I had a business meal at this restaurant. Unfortunately I can't understand the negative reviews. From the first to the last moment, it was a great evening. Warm and friendly welcome, fast and uncomplicated service, very great menu with great dishes and fine wines. Everything is of very high quality and of course that has its price. The furnishings and ambience appear to be of very high quality, well-kept and convey a pleasant and cozy feeling. The service was very attentive, friendly and very tactful. You have to be aware that Mondo Pazzo is not a standard pizza shop, but rather upscale Italian cuisine. Accordingly, the clientele and the price level are what they are really willing to pay. I will come back!

Wir hatten wenig Zeit und Hunger auf Mediterranes. Und haben die Zeitvorgabe einhalten können, dazu lecker gegessen und die heftig italienischen Kellner genossen. War wirklich gut.

We visited this restaurant full of expectations after a beautiful day in Berlin. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated. After a very short time we were able to order and also received our order very quickly. However, there was no relationship between price and performance. What was even more unpleasant, however, was the arrogance and arrogance in the service. Apparently, the guests in this restaurant are only judged by their level of popularity, the fashion label they wear and their appearance. Maybe The operation should not be guided by such external appearances. However, if the guest is only offered the menu in passing, which they politely asked for half an hour ago in order to order a dessert, the demand for a tip seems all the more outrageous. Definitely not worth recommending!!!!!!!!

We ate the truffle pasta with porcini mushrooms. We definitely expected more for the price. You could hardly taste the truffle and the sauce tasted very much like broth.

We were there with a group of 8 people and had reserved. When I asked for a high chair for my grandson I was told in no uncertain terms that they didn't have one because children are not welcome!!!!!! Only until 7 p.m. and no longer! Because the guests don't want that there. Our grandson sat on the lap here and there and ate noodles with us here and there. Also dry bread. The restaurant was completely full and the seating was very tight! You couldn't get out or in to your own place. You were constantly pushed aside by the arrogant waiters. Prices extremely high. Glass of wine 11€ e.g. Eating easily up to €30. And by the way: dogs are also forbidden!

We are at MP at least once every week, it has been our regular restaurant since 2004 for good reason. Unfortunately I can't understand the bad reviews. The great chef has been working there for around 10 years and the taste of most of the dishes (all fresh) is far better than the average of comparable restaurants at this price level, especially the pasta and meat and fish dishes. Due to the busy and energetic owner, it has of course developed into a "SchickiMicki" restaurant, but that is precisely why most guests go there to see and be seen - pretty women and dapper men of all ages, that is really fun and means that the restaurant is full practically every day of work. This can sometimes lead to mistakes, as the waiters have a tough job in the evening rush hour, but they are all professionals and enjoy working there. The kitchen equipment is also completely renewed every year. All in all - we and almost all of our friends will continue to go there with great joy!!

Absolutely love this Italian gem! The Beef Tartare is incredible, and now I find myself craving everything in the picture – octopus salad, lobster, truffle pasta, all their pasta dishes are top-notch. Plus, the tiramisu is so good. The staff continues to be attentive, and everyone takes great care of the customers. I've been familiar with restaurant for nearly ten years now, and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to visit again because reserve a table is always a challenge, you've got to plan in advance.

I or we don't understand the hype surrounding the restaurant at all. The outside area was busy but clear, 1 bartender and 4 waiters with the boss on duty. With so many staff you would think that the service would be good - unfortunately not! The food is mediocre. The service is annoyed and inattentive, our drinks were forgotten several times and half an hour passed before we could finally order. It's a restaurant where you want to be seen and don't pay for the quality of the food and service. Definitely my first and last visit.

I called to reserve a table. The gentleman on the phone said he still had free tables. After I mentioned that we are coming 2 adults and 2 children. He suddenly said, oh sorry, we're still completely booked. Then it immediately became clear to me that the reason for this statement was the children. I then mentioned it and the man said that they don't accept children after 7 p.m. What a disgrace! I called at 5:30 p.m. Such an attitude where children are not welcome. Unbelievable!

The food wasn't particularly bad, the fedelini with pilse were overcooked, when I complained that the pasta wasn't cooked well, the waiter told me that's how they cook here. If we don't like it, we can pay and leave... Hello, It can happen but if you charge €30 for a plate of pasta you can expect good things, for a fake Italian who can't even make pasta al dente and even gives bad service... Better go somewhere else

We got a place outside at short notice without a reservation, even though it was full. Food was really good, but whether the price was appropriate for the food - well. The guest clientele is definitely select and noticeably affected. Tried it once, but we probably wouldn't come again.

We were there for the UEFA finals. There was a large crowd, but they accommodated us, without reservations. Food was great. Must try the Scampi.

As a Berliner, I have never tried this store. We were there for a European Championship game and it was full but fun. The service is friendly and accommodating, the boss is a nice man. The pasta was terrific and incomparable to other Italian pasta dishes in Berlin. The prices are higher than elsewhere, but there is very tasty quality for the money. I had the pasta with lamb fillet tips and chanterelles. For dessert there was mascarpone cream with strawberries. It was incredibly tasty!

Yesterday, on June 21st, three people had reserved a table for months - after the starter, after we ordered the main course, the sound on the three televisions on which the European Championship was being broadcast live was turned up so loud that we... us no more were able to entertain. No understanding from the employees - on the contrary: I could have expected that it was the European Championships and they were a restaurant on Kurfürstendamm. That was more than exhausting. Unfortunately, afterwards we saw some very nice restaurants outside where the television was running appropriately and quietly. I will suggest to the group with whom I regularly dined here in March for German Inheritance Law Day to go somewhere else in the future. It is not absolutely necessary to leave your money there.

Unfortunately, I have to share an extremely negative experience at Mondo Pazzo. We came without a reservation, which was apparently a big mistake. Although we politely asked for a table, we were treated rudely and had to listen to a derogatory comment: “Don’t look like that.” Sit like this and not like that, you don't have a reservation, as if you came out to make the extra sausage just because you sat down normally. Never before have I experienced so much false arrogance in a restaurant. Instead of being welcomed as guests, we were literally talked to stupidly. Such behavior in service is not acceptable. Every guest deserves respect, regardless of whether they have a reservation or not. Take away the false pride from the service, we just wanted to eat something.

The food is great but the service is becoming increasingly unfriendly. I will invest my money in a friendlier service in the future.

Unfortunately we were greeted in a very unfriendly and hectic manner. The table that was promised to us when we made the reservation was not given to us either. As a result of this unacceptable behavior, we turned around and canceled the reservation for 8 people. We wanted to celebrate a big birthday here. Not recommended. From above.

Excellent Italian restaurant!!! in the center of Berlin. The service is courteous and happy. The food is bomb. Hill from the first courses (carpaccio, salads) through the pastas (don't give up the arrabiata, also very good in trattoro) the seafood and the fish and ending with the divine tiramisu. Everything is accompanied by excellent wine as a good cuppa and a happy atmosphere (there is also a projector for euros,,,). Highly recommended!!!

Incredibly unfriendly service. After less than an hour we were more or less thrown out of the restaurant because the next guests were already being seated. When paying, the waiter refused to issue separate invoices despite being asked. The food was overpriced and nothing special for the price. Not recommended!

Best pasta. Without the annoying bling bling. If you appreciate solid Italian cuisine, this is the place for you.

Overall a nice restaurant, the service was top, the food was very good. The veal tartare was seasoned with a bit of lame, otherwise it was great.

Superb find for us. We turned up with no reservation and despite being extremely busy, they made us welcome and made room for us. The food was excellent and the staff great fun and helpful. It’s not cheap, but there were lots of locals eating there which tells you everything. The atmosphere was great and we had a lovely time. We will be back.

Superb dinner for all the family. All freshly made and a genuinely Italian experience. Tbe team were super helpful and clearly operate a tight ship. Not a cheap, but worth every penny. It was also very busy for a Monday night which tells me all I need to know!!

Good food... unfortunately the room is very cramped and therefore very noisy when full of guests.

Schrekcklicher und arroganter Service von den Kellnern. Das Essen ist qualitativ überhaupt nicht gut und seit Jahren wird die Karte nicht erneuert. Alles total lieblos angerichtet. Die Weine schmecken überhaupt nicht, am nächsten Tag hat man totale Kopfschmerzen. Das Essen musste ich 2 Mal zurückgeben lassen und das haben die trotzdem auf die Rechnung gepackt. Eine komplette Enttäuschung und nicht empfehlenswert!

Unfortunately, a restaurant that cannot be recommended. A normal rustic Italian - prices not justified. If you want to go out in Berlin, this place is unfortunately the wrong place for you. Service weak, furnishings very simple, to put it nicely. At least the food tasted good.

The food is really overpriced. The starters cost like a proper main dish in most similar restaurants in Berlin. For one starter, one main course, glass of wine, coffee and 2 desserts we paid 100 euro. Some of the waiters were not very friendly

Ich fand das Essen lecker und es war auch gut gefüllt. Was leider gar nicht für mich geht ist dass der Kellner (älterer Mann) mich (jüngere Frau) als ich ihn herangerufen hatte mit „was los Schatzi“ ansprach. Es ärgert mich echt, dass ich nicht den Besitzer darauf angesprochen habe. Ich bin nicht Schatzi sondern dein Kunde, der grad eine Rechnung zzgl 10 % Trinkgeld gezahlt hat

Super Service aber das Essen ist maximal Durchschnitt und die Preise absolut overrated. Für 6 Stück Bruschetta 21€ ist schon heftig. Da gibt es viel bessere Orte hier in Charlottenburg verstehe nicht ganz warum es so gefragt ist. 190€ für 3 Personen ohne Flasche Wein.

Möchtegerns vom anderen Stern, warum die sich da so tummeln muss man nicht verstehen aber gut. War für uns gerade fussläufig gut zu erreichen. Service war super, Essen durchschnittlich und die Getränke OK. Der Service hat es rausgerissen, sonst ein Stern für diese abgehobenen Preise☝️☝️☝️

Habe telefonisch für meinen Geburtstag einen Tisch reserviert, vor Ort steht die Reservierung dann plötzlich nicht im Buch. Der Herr diskutiert und sagt es sei nicht seine Schuld, er könne ja nicht 24h alles Kontrollieren. Ist auch nicht meine Schuld wenn ihr Analphabeten ans Telefon stellt die kein Deutsch können. Man kommt uns entgegen indem man uns einen Tisch in der Kälte anbietet und sagt man solle nicht frech sein 😂 Saftladen!

Leckerer Italiener. Das essen war diesmal echt gut! Und die Kellner waren auch sehr lieb zu uns! Gelungener Abend.

Wir wollten gestern in Berlin gut und edel italienisch essen gehen. Unser Concierge im Ritz Carlton empfahl uns das Mondo Pazzo. Wir haben drei Gänge gegessen und auf Empfehlung einen Gavi di Gavi getrunken. Angefangen von den Fedelini mit Trüffel und Tagliatelle mit Pfifferlingen über die gegrillte Dorade mit Salat bis hin zur Tiramisu war alles Spitzenklasse. Selten so gut italienisch gegessen. Grazie!

Wasser wurde ungefragt in serviert und für 7 euro in Rechnung gestellt, Penne arabbiatta aber trozdem gut und schön zum draußen sitzen.

Hat deutlich an Qualität abgenommen. Und der Service ist leider absolut unterdurchschnittlich!

After trying a few Italian restaurants in Berlin, I can say this is my favourite with no hesitation. The food is top, fresh ingredients as it should be from the burrata to the fish etc. Amazing service, staff remembers you and what you liked last time you been there wich is amazing. 100% recommended

Heute Mittag Seeteufelmedaillons für 36€ gegessen. 3 Mini-Stücke a ca. 50 Gramm. Im La Maremma (einem der anderen "West-Berliner Italo-Klassiker) letztens für 38€ fast doppelt so große Portion. Nun ja...

Es gibt genügend Restaurants in Berlin, die ihre Gäste gastfreundlich behandeln. Um 16:57 Uhr kamen wir an und wurden abgewiesen, mit dem Hinweis, dass die Küche noch nicht bereit ist und wir in 20 Minuten erst kommen können. Alle Tische waren gedeckt und leer. Man hätte mich auch mit einem Getränk am Tisch warten lassen können. Es gibt viele weitere gute Restaurants in Berlin, denen man gerne sein Geld hinterlässt. Hier auf keinen Fall mehr.

Precio calidad mala. El servicio fue pésimo y descortés. La comida estaba rica sin embargo no vale la pena por lo que pagas. No volveré ni recomiendo este restaurante.
