Monchi Vegan in Leipzig

We went for the vegan buffet. There was a great selection of sushi, hot dishes, and desserts. Everything was delicious, and the staff was super friendly! :)

I've participated in the "Vegan Buffet" twice already. For €15 and €19 respectively, it's a real bargain. A large vegan selection of sushi, hot dishes, and desserts.

My husband and I have been to the buffet here several times and always find it very delicious. :)

So far, I've only tried the all-you-can-eat option: very tasty and excellent value for money. Drinks are a bit more expensive, but also very good. The service is very friendly and fast. The restrooms are okay, not the fanciest and a bit chilly, but not so cold that you'd want to avoid them. Unfortunately, card payments are only accepted for amounts over €50, but PayPal seems to be an option. However, the card reader was out of order when we were there.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food because I never even got that far... I had reserved a table for the evening buffet over a month in advance. Apparently, this reservation couldn't be found, and of course, there were no tables available. Fantastic service. Offering an online reservation system would certainly be helpful.

We were a group of six and had made a reservation. The dishes arrived at our table relatively quickly. The number of items in the ordered appetizers did not match the menu. Furthermore, after paying, we noticed that the prices charged also did not match the menu. Four of the six people each had a difference of €3-4 to their disadvantage, which they pointed out. The remaining two people did not check. Instead of the actual €31, my bill was €34.50, and I added a tip, bringing it to €38. It seemed as if a service charge had simply been added in advance. Tip: Ask for the bill and check it.

Delicious, authentic vegan food! We really enjoyed it, and there was something for everyone. I find it amazing that vegan food can taste so good. We'll definitely be back.

There were two of us, and we absolutely loved it! 😊 The food was incredibly delicious – we especially loved the crunchy sushi and the bao bun. The staff was very friendly, and we even got a table without a reservation. Our only suggestion for improvement: a warmer room temperature would make it even cozier. A fantastic vegan restaurant!

Duc was a very nice employee. We felt very comfortable.

It was quite cold in the restaurant in December because the heating wasn't working. €4.50 for a cup of tea with a tea bag seemed a bit pricey. And selling tasteless, colorless soy crumbs from a discount store as vegan beef struck me as rather poor. I probably wouldn't go back.

The vegan hot pot was such a disappointment. The broth was boring and the ingredient selection was meh. Too sad, this is the only vegan hot pot place in Leipzig. Hopefully they improve in the future.

Everything here is perfect. Beautiful restaurant, very friendly service, and incredibly good and creative food! We love coming back and never tire of trying everything on the menu.

The appetizers, sushi, and Dragon Balls for dessert were fantastic, and the service was very friendly and attentive. You should allow some time for your meal, as everything is freshly prepared and therefore can't be on the table within 10 minutes.

We were there on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was almost empty but nicely decorated. We simply weren't served, and then at some point we read the reviews, as there was a PR code on the table that promised a 5% discount on the bill if you leave a review. That's probably how you buy the good reviews. That was reason enough for us to leave. Only then did the waitress notice we were there.

I was unfortunately a bit disappointed. At first glance, and with a lot of hunger, there was a nicely arranged small buffet with a few dishes. It was quite tasty, but simply nothing special. Since I don't eat sushi, that was already out of the question. There was a soup with some vegetables and tofu. Then a few dishes with the same vegetables, only the sauce was different. There was also tofu in two different sauces. Spring rolls, baked goods in batter, and dumplings. Furthermore, many dishes were out of stock, which isn't appropriate given the limited time of 1.5 hours. What I ate that evening I could have gotten for under €10 at any vegan Vietnamese restaurant in Leipzig. Not a particularly vegan alternative. I can get tofu pretty much anywhere these days. I also felt it was quite salty. The drinks, however, were quite overpriced for what you get. So, I wouldn't recommend it. I'd rather have a delicious meal at one of the countless other restaurants that offer very few meat substitutes and are creative in their approach, rather than just tofu. The ambience was okay, a bit dark for my taste, and the artificial plants weren't my thing.

The bao bun was really delicious but overpriced for its size. My main course (vegan Kazu) was disappointing. There was too little sauce and the vegetables didn't complement the dish at all. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go back for that price.

My experience was totally pleasant. I went to the buffet in the afternoon. The food was delicious and there was a wide variety of dishes. Also, when something was empty, they refilled it quickly. There's a short line at first because the buffet isn't that big, but it moves quickly and without any problems. The service was very friendly and everyone was very attentive. If you're in Leipzig, I highly recommend this place for lunch, especially sushi; it's totally worth it!

Everything is absolutely perfect. The prices are good, the service is fast, friendly, and attentive. The dishes are beautifully presented and taste fantastic. All this in a very pleasant ambiance. The price range below is for a three-course meal for two people, including two drinks each.
