Wir haben heute im Miyabi gegessen und waren durchweg angetan. Das Konzept aus Sushi und vietnamesischer Küche wird hier überzeugend und mit feinem Gespür umgesetzt. Die Qualität der Zutaten, die handwerklich saubere Zubereitung sowie die ansprechende Präsentation der Speisen bewegen sich auf einem erfreulich hohen Niveau. Sowohl das Sushi als auch die warmen Gerichte waren ausgewogen, aromatisch und präzise abgeschmeckt. Kulinarisch war dieses asiatische Restaurant in Grünwald wirklich ein kleines Juwel. Das Essen fein abgestimmt, die Küche mit Liebe und Können. Wirklich großes Kompliment an die Menschen hinter den Töpfen. Leider endet die asiatische Harmonie abrupt, sobald man mit Service und Eigentümer Bekanntschaft macht. Während die Küche offenbar auf hohem Niveau arbeitet, bewegt sich der Umgang mit Gästen eher in Richtung „Improvisationstheater in Giesing“. Man fühlt sich stellenweise weniger wie ein willkommener Gast und mehr wie eine unerwartete Störung im eigenen Restaurantbesuch. Schade eigentlich, denn gutes Essen verdient Gastgeber, die dieselbe Klasse besitzen wie ihre Gerichte.

Miyabi in Grünwald ist eine dieser Adressen, bei denen man schon während des Essens weiß, dass man bald wiederkommen wird. Wir hatten einen schlichtweg perfekten Abend, der kulinarisch keine Wünsche offen ließ. Die Qualität des Sushi ist herausragend – man schmeckt die Frische und die Sorgfalt bei der Zubereitung in jedem Detail. Auch die warmen Gerichte, wie die perfekt zubereitete Ente mit ihrer feinen Erdnussnote, waren handwerklich auf höchstem Niveau und geschmacklich absolut rund. Das Ambiente ist modern und stilvoll, was den gesamten Besuch zu einem sehr stimmigen Erlebnis macht. Wer asiatische Küche auf diesem Level in einem so angenehmen Rahmen sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Ein großes Kompliment an das gesamte Team für diese großartige Gastfreundschaft in München.

Leider war die Wartezeit sehr lang, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Das Essen war köstlich, abwechslungsreich und unprätentiös. Man bekommt hier wirklich gutes, schmackhaftes Essen. Der Service war gut. Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen; ich würde es ohne Zögern zu den fünf besten Sushi-Restaurants in München zählen.

Mittagstisch dauert über eine Stunde. Nur eine Person im Service für ein volles Restaurant. Unfreundlicher Service.

Leider war unser Geburtstagsessen mit Freunden eine Enttäuschung… die Reservierung war falsch verbucht worden und der Umgang damit höchst unprofessionell. Während wir noch am Essen des Hauptgerichtes waren, wurden wir aufgefordert zu bezahlen, da die nachfolgenden Gäste früher angekommen waren….

Überraschend gutes asiatisches Kombi-Essen, besonders gut gefallen haben uns die frischen Kräuter und die authentischen Saucen. Die Meinung anderer Rezensenten bezüglich der hohen Preise teile ich nicht – dies ist eine teure Gegend, dafür sind die Preise normal. Einzig der Lärm, die langsame Küche und der Service sind ein Minuspunkt.

The menu is varied - from sashimi to curries and stir-fries; there's a carefully selected drinks list with cocktails, but what this place excels at is the service. I mistakenly ordered the wrong dish, - no problem, the waiter checked with the kitchen, and they unflinchingly prepared my desired dish at a short notice. Thank you, Mr Waiter! The bill for starters, a main course, a bottle of wine (excellently chilled), aperitivos and coffee with whiskey for 3 people came to £224, which is not unreasonable. The atmosphere was great! The room was full of diners, but as the background music was playing at a very low volume, we were easily able to have a conversation within our group of three. In short, the whole experience was just what we wanted, and we will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful restaurant near Grünwald with excellent food and professional service. Highly recommend the spicy tuna tartar, as well as the duck and shrimp dishes. It was a bit noisy, but that's just complaining at a high level.

Very good selection and good quality in a nice atmosphere

It was our second visit. An upper class Asian restaurant with overpriced dishes even simple starters like Edamame is overpriced. Maybe the restaurant tries to match its upper class area of Grünwald! It does not give you a feeling of an authentic restaurant at all just a modern restaurant. The service is quite good but we got everything at the same time, starter and main dishes. The duck and res curry dish was not really tasty. The duck was a bit chewy and not as crisp as expected. The tiger roll was very good. The spring rolls ok but not special. The drinks and alcohol free cocktails were okish. If looking for authentic restaurant with Asian feeling and real taste of foods, Miyabi cannot be the best choice.

To be honest, was quite disappointed in the food quality… service was very friendly but took extremely long even though there weren’t so many people. Would not come back. Too pricy and not that tasty to come a second time.

One of my favorite places for a very delicious meal. I already knew the restaurant before the renovation and it was already an insider tip. Top food, nice ambience and great service. Personally, I am very sensitive to loud noises and the only thing that struck me as negative was the volume outside in the garden, which is due to the proximity to the street (still very nicely designed). So I wouldn't blame the restaurant negatively for this.

The prices are in the upper segment. However, I believe that the freshness of the food and the perfect craftsmanship fully justify the price. I was at Miyabi in Grünwald two days ago and had a really nice evening. The restaurant is modern and stylishly furnished and the food was very good - fresh, prepared with great attention to detail and tasted at a high level. My family and I went to this restaurant for my mother's birthday. We are repeat guests and have always been satisfied so far. But on February 15, 2025, we left the restaurant extremely upset. We ordered the appetizer platter (sharing is caring) for two people. My mother then bit on a corrugated piece of metal (approx. 1.5-2cm long wire) in one of the spring rolls, which caused her tooth to hurt. Everyone at the table heard the whole thing. I behaved extremely discreetly and went to the front of the bar to hand the piece of metal in question to an employee. We initially apologized and "our" waitress personally came to the table to tell us that the starter would be canceled and we would receive a free dessert. At the end of the evening my mother had mochi ice cream worth €7 and everything seemed okay. But when the bill was paid (just under €250) my mother was told that only part of the starter had been canceled and not all of it. In addition, my mother's story was doubted and questioned (do you really think that we would smuggle wire into food? This behavior alone is extremely outrageous). When we got home we noticed that the starter had been completely accounted for. The behavior of the employee on site was therefore just a show. We won't be seeing this restaurant again anytime soon because metal in food (especially in this price range) is a no-go for us. And then you behave discreetly and are thus “sold as stupid”?! - no thanks! Really only 1 star for that. Addendum from February 23, 2025: We were contacted by management by telephone and the incident was discussed again. Thank you very much for that, that is not a given! I'm happy to give this 5 stars.

Unfortunately I noticed that the restaurant owners Ngoc and Thuy are AfD voters. It's sad as the owners of a restaurant to be so against foreigners and the food is nothing special, totally cheeky prices! Have a nice vacation every time with the cheeky and disrespectful prices. Simply cheeky! You shouldn't make the prices so high for your standard...you're not a luxury restaurant, it just tastes like any Vietnamese restaurant. a NO GO for me and I will definitely eat somewhere else. There are better Vietnamese places in the Munich area.

I can highly recommend this restaurant. There are Japanese and Vietnamese dishes. There were three of us and everyone was very happy with the food and the very friendly service. Be sure to make a reservation, we were there on a Tuesday and it was very busy.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice but the seats by the window are the most comfortable. The staff are friendly but the food is nothing special. The gyozas are only fried until golden on one side or almost barely, but the sushi is really fresh and very tasty. The main course is the cashew Chicken quite good but nothing special

The food was outstanding, but we were only allowed to stay for two hours to make room for the next guests.

Be sure to sit by the window - the benches in the other seats are uncomfortable and have no backrest. The toilets are sometimes in disrepair. Service alternated between uncertain and rude. The same menu for many years, little variety, only the - already far overpriced - prices continue to rise reliably. The restaurant is now less busy and the people of Grünwald have probably found out that there is better food for a more reasonable price just a few kilometers away.

You have to make a reservation! We liked the service, nothing was missing. The food was exclusive and the price was justified in our opinion. I found the peace and quiet in the restaurant pleasant. You can have a quiet conversation and still understand the person you are talking to!

Das Essen hat qualitativ nachgelassen. Die Ente war sehr fett, die Soße zum Fisch war salzig. Trotz zweifachen Hinweises zur Sauce an den Kellner erfolgte keine Reaktion. Seiner Meinung nach „muss die Sauce so sein“. Der Wunsch nach einem Baguette zum Tartar wurde klar beantwortet: Bei uns gibt es kein Brot! Alles nicht mehr das, wie es schon mal war.

I quite enjoy Miyabi as a regular sushi place in Munich. Given the limited availability of good sushi fish in this city, Miyabi makes the very best of a difficult situation. They use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients. In addition, the staff is always pleasant and professional and the decor is tasteful, cozy and modern. Gerne lassen wir uns auch liefern oder holen selbst ab. U.A. : Sushi ist erstklassig . Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr edles Ambiente. Nicht billig, aber das ginge bei der Qualität auch nicht.

Leider haben wir diesmal sehr lange auf unser Essen gewartet undzwar über eine Stunde, Gäste die nach uns kamen, bekamen ihr Essen vor uns. Der Kellern war sehr freundlich, aber er hätte sich vielleicht entschuldigen können oder die lange Wartezeit vorher ankündigen oder uns eine Kleinigkeit aufs Haus bringen können. Aber einfach nur warten lassen, fanden wir sehr kundenunfreundlich. Vor allen Dingen, weil wir ja reserviert hatten, dieses Restaurant gehört zu den hochpreisigen , da darf so etwas einfachdicht sein.

Spending €100 on Asian food for two is actually something different. Freshly cooked? Yes! Still pretty hefty in terms of price? Also yes! For this money we have definitely eaten more unusual and exclusive meals. 2 starters for 15€ and 2 main courses for 24 and 20€ + a glass of wine, a bottle of water and beer. It's a shame: As soon as you arrive, it's made clear to you that the table is only available until 8 p.m. When you sit down, you immediately receive the menu and when you place your drink order you are immediately asked whether you would like to order an appetizer so that the kitchen can prepare it. Overall, it feels a bit rushed and is not worthy of the price and the self-imposed image and ambience. My seat was facing "outside" and was embellished with a view of a counter, which was "pasted" with brown parcel bank. This is neither worthy of the price nor the promised ambience. From my seat, I could have sat in any run-of-the-mill “€7.99 Asian snack bar”. Unfortunately it's not worth a second visit for us. For the money, there is much more individual and unusual cuisine available. But certainly perfectly fine for rich Grünwalders.
