MITTEL east in Gütersloh

Ich war mit meiner Familie in diesem Restaurant essen und leider war unsere Erfahrung sehr enttäuschend. Wir haben eine Grillplatte bestellt. Der Reis war sehr fettig und kaum genießbar. Das Kebab war sehr trocken und überhaupt nicht saftig. Auch der Salat war nicht gut – es war viel zu viel Essig und Öl drin, sodass er nicht geschmeckt hat. Leider war auch der Service nicht zufriedenstellend. Der Kellner war nicht aufmerksam, und unser Tisch war bei der Ankunft nicht sauber. Insgesamt waren wir sehr enttäuscht und hatten deutlich bessere Qualität und Service erwartet. Wir werden leider nicht wiederkommen.

Wir waren vor kurzem mit meiner Frau in diesem Restaurant und leider sehr enttäuscht. Ich habe eine Fleischsuppe bestellt, in der jedoch kaum Fleisch enthalten war. Meine Frau hatte ein Nudelgericht mit Garnelen (Gambas). Die Nudeln waren sehr trocken und geschmacklich nicht überzeugend. Für zwei Gerichte und Getränke haben wir etwa 40 Euro bezahlt, was angesichts der Qualität des Essens nicht gerechtfertigt erscheint. Besonders unprofessionell fanden wir den Service: Während ich kurz mit meinem Handy beschäftigt war, nahm der Kellner unsere Teller einfach mit, ohne vorher zu fragen, ob wir fertig sind. Das empfanden wir als unhöflich und respektlos. Leider ist dies nicht das erste Mal, dass wir dort schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht haben. Die Qualität des Essens und der Service haben aus unserer Sicht deutlich nachgelassen. Wir werden dieses Restaurant in Zukunft nicht mehr besuchen.

Inzwischen nur noch enttäuschend. Obwohl der Laden fast leer ist, saßen die Angestellten erst einmal (und zwar alle) seelenruhig selbst an einen Tisch und aßen und tranken für ca. 30 min., bis sich dann endlich eine total unmotivierte Kellnerin endlich mal zu uns und den anderen Gästen begab. Das Essen ist gut. Der Service ist eine Vollkatastrophe, weshalb immer mehr Gäste ausbleiben. Das selbe berichten auch viele Bekannte und Freunde. Der Laden wird inzwischen von uns allen gemieden.

1€ für die Toilette zu nehmen geht gar nicht. 50ct sind ja noch normal, aber sich daran bereichern zu wollen ist einfach nur unverschämt. So vergrault man sich die Kundschaft schneller als man denkt.

Ansich gut, Problem ist das wir nichts scharfes essen. Ich habe extra vorher vorm abhollen angerufen und gesagt "nichts scharfes, weder Pfeffer noch Chilli noch sonst etwas in diese richtung. Bitte auch keine Zwiebeln wenn es geht" darauf ein klar, kein Problem. Zuhause war alles Fleisch mit Chilli gewürzt, die Rote Sauce war scharf und oben drauf Zwiebeln und scharfe Paprika. Danke für nichts

Ich war gestern mit meinen Freundinnen dort zum Valentinstag Essen und war der maßen entäuscht ! Als erstes musste ich für mein Essen über eine Stunde warten , dann haben meine Freunde ihr Essen als erstes bekommen meins kam dann wo beide fertig waren ! Ich hatte mir Lammspieß bestellt für ca 20 Euro . Pommes und Fleisch waren kalt noch dazu war es eine "Kinderportion". Das bisschen Fleisch war noch nicht mal auf dem Spieß. Eine einzige "rohe grüne "Paprika lag daneben. Ich habe es sofort reklamiert und das Essen auf den Tresen gestellt,hätte aber den Laden verlassen sollen . Ich bekam dasselbe zurück nur die Pommes waren warm. Es war voll aber das ist keine Entschuldigung dafür!! .Es hätte sofort reagiert werden müssen ! Ganz schlechter Service !!!! Meine Freundin hat dann später einen Gutschein erhalten ich nicht !!! Für mich gibt es dafür keine Entschuldigung !!! Und ich musste für "mein" Essen noch voll bezahlen.

Das Essen ist sehr teuer trotz Steuer Senkung, lieber bei Pandaking für das gleiche Geld ein gut und lecker Essen schön genießen .Nur Cola kostet fast 4 Euro nicht normal!!!!!

Die Preise sind so geblieben, Trotz Steur Senkung von 19 auf 7 Prozent!!!!!!

Wir waren heute Abend dort essen und es war mega lecker, die Bedienung sehr nett und der Laden super gemütlich Immer wieder gerne 😋

Das Restaurant ist gemütlich. Die Toiletten befinden sich im Erdgeschoss und sind gut von den Gästen getrennt. Zusätzlich gibt es auf derselben Etage wie der Gastraum eine geräumige Toilette für Rollstuhlfahrer oder sehr ältere Menschen. Das Personal – insbesondere die Bedienungen – ist sehr freundlich und in der Regel schnell. Eines der Gerichte, die mich überrascht haben, waren die Pommes frites: Sie sind sehr knusprig und geschmackvoll, und die Portionen sind meist recht großzügig. Leider sind die Preise etwas zu hoch. Ich vergebe 4 Sterne, weil ich der Meinung bin, dass man die Preise senken könnte, ohne an Qualität zu verlieren – und diese sogar noch verbessern könnte. Ich werde dort weiterhin essen gehen, vergebe aber erst 5 Sterne, wenn ich positive Veränderungen bei Qualität und Preisen sehe.

Ein wunderschöner, herrlicher und sauberer Ort. Köstliches Essen. Exzellenter Service. Ein herzliches Team. Und wie könnte es anders sein, wenn der Inhaber ein angesehener Schriftsteller, ein kultivierter Mensch wie Herr Suleiman Abu Lina ist?

Verbrannt und trocken Katastrophe

Nie wieder! Preis-Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. Wir waren da frühstücken, es war kalt und das Lokal bis 10.30 Uhr leer. Die Bedienung war überfordert, hat uns erst nach Nachfrage Teller und Besteck gebracht und einiges vom Frühstück vergessen…. Es ist unverschämt für so ein einfaches Frühstück 28,90€ zu verlangen.

Also meine Frau und ich sind große Fans von der türkischen Küche. Wir haben uns das Türkische Frühstück für 2 für den Preis von 28,90€ bestellt. Einzeln hätte es jeweils 15,90€ gekostet. Es war mit abstand das schlechteste Türkische Frühstück das wir je vorgesetzt bekommen haben. Alleine was mit bei war, war maximal 7,90€ wert. Das Lokal war so kalt, das die Servicekraft mit einem langen Mantel drin war. Wir hörten sie sich über die kälte beschweren. Doch wurde sie nicht beachtet. Erst als wir als Kunden darauf aufmerksam machten wurde reagiert. Auch der im Angebot beinhaltete Oragnensaft und das Simit wurde uns nicht vorgesetzt bis wir darauf hingewiesen haben. Es war wirklich sehr enttäuschend. Uns sehen die nicht wieder. Ich finde, wenn wir zu einen Türkischen Frühstück in ein Restaurant fahren, sollte die ein Erlebnis sein. Fotos haben wir keine gemacht. Da das Lokal bis auf 2 weitere Tische echt leer war, wurden wir ständig beobachtet.

Fürchtbar! Ich habe Essen bestellt und nie bekommen, es wurde troztdem als "geliefert" markiert. Nachdem ich das Restaurant angerufen habe, wurde es mir erläutert, dass da die Addresse nicht gefunden wurde, wurde das Essen zurückgebracht. Ich konnte es abholen wenn ich das Essen möchte, was ich wegen Krankheit heute nicht kann. Zudem wurde es mir gesagt, die haben nichts mit dieses Problem zu tun, ich wurde mein Geld nicht zurückkriegen und auch kein Essen. Was ist das für ein Service!?

Schöne Location für den Snack zwischendurch. Sehr höfliches Personal.

Es gab ein kleines Mädchen, das mir sehr geholfen hat. Sie war sehr freundlich und hat alles pünktlich gebracht.

Wir sind immer regelmäßig zum Abendessen dorthin gegangen allerdings wird es leider von mal zu mal schlechter. Es war mal wirklich sehr gut, aber mittlerweile nicht mehr das was das mal war. Leider wurde mir beim letzten Mal das Essen serviert und auf dem Teller war ein Blutfleck, der definitiv von einem Mitarbeiter gekommen sein muss. Dies ist einfach nicht schön, aber kann ja alles mal passieren und wir haben drüber hinweg gesehen, als wir das nächste Mal dort waren hatten meine Begleitung und ich leider heftige Bauchschmerzen dannach, das war leider überhaupt nicht schön, wir kommen leider erstmal nicht mehr wieder. Dir Kellner brauchen auch leider immer sehr lange.

Wir hatten heute einen sehr gemütlichen Abend mit wundervollen essen. Es hat so lecker geschmeckt. Wirklich richtig toll und der Service war erstklassig. Ganz tolles nettes Personal. Sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Auch die Stühle sind sehr bequem und das Ambiente allgemein ist sehr schön und einladend. Auch wenn wir ein Stück weiter weg wohnen werden wir auf jedenfall wieder kommen. Besten Dank für den schönen Abend.

Leider sehr enttäuschend! In unserem Essen war ein Haar. Die Bedienung hat nur gemeint „Pech gehabt“ und wir mussten trotzdem alles bezahlen, obwohl wir kaum etwas gegessen haben. Unfreundlich und unprofessionell – nie wieder!

I read a lot of bad reviews and wanted to see for myself. However, when I ordered pasta here, there was nothing to complain about; instead, the food was amazing! The service is excellent, as is the food! I highly recommend it.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance today and was surprised by the price of €4 for a doner kebab. You can't get that anywhere. It's a perfectly normal, average taste and a large size.

Very delicious food with authentic flavors – freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff is super friendly and attentive, making you feel immediately welcome. The portions are fair, and the value for money is absolutely spot on. The specialties are especially recommended – a real highlight in Gütersloh! I'll definitely be back.

I felt very comfortable in this beautiful, modern but still cozy restaurant and the lamb skewer was very tender and tasty, the pepper paste also called Esme was very tasty and fresh

Unfortunately, we didn't like the Mittel East at all. We were there at lunchtime, and it stank of feces everywhere, or rather, the smell came from the restroom all the way up to the tables. It was really unpleasant for everyone involved. We had already paid, and someone outside the restaurant reminded us to pay again. Totally unprofessional. Sorry, but we will definitely not go to the Mittel East again and won't recommend it to anyone.

We had lunch at the restaurant today. Unfortunately, it will be our last visit. The staff took our order and came back 3 times!!! to ask questions! Questions that had already been answered when ordering: side dish, dip... the drink we ordered was suddenly missing. This should have been pointed out to customers beforehand. On top of that, the Coke Zero was not carbonated. We got a mini plate with fries and meat that looked like leftovers... when we asked why it was so small, the only answer we got was "that can't be right, I've worked here 7 years." Our opinion of that was irrelevant! Unfortunately, all in all, extremely disappointing! We won't be coming back!

A beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and stylish decor. The pasta and pizza were excellent – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We felt completely at home. The attentive and extremely friendly service is particularly noteworthy. Highly recommended – we'd love to come back!

The wait time is too long. You definitely have to wait more than 30 minutes for the food 😑

We ate here for the first time and the staff were very friendly and helpful. For the meal, I had hummus with fresh, warm bread as a starter (very tasty) and we also got something from the house: tzatziki, something like a cocktail sauce, and a red, slightly fiery sauce, all very tasty. For the main course, I had a mixed grill plate (see menu). The meat was super tender and there were fries and a delicious salad. We would be happy to come back.

It's truly outrageous that the unsold doner kebab skewer is simply placed in a shopping cart and taken away! You can't be serious.

A great, modern Turkish restaurant where we felt truly at home. We received very friendly and quick service, and the food was simply delicious. They even offer non-alcoholic shandys and wheat beers, which aren't often offered in other restaurants. You do have to pay in the restaurant, but we were used to that. You can pay in cash, check, or credit card. We'd love to come back.

I was absolutely thrilled! The pizza was simply delicious – a perfectly baked, crispy base, plenty of toppings, and wonderfully flavorful cheese. Every bite was a delight! I especially liked the fresh tomato sauce, which gave the pizza a truly delicious flavor. The fries were also great: crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. You could tell they were freshly prepared. The portion was generous and went perfectly with the pizza. Overall, a really good meal that left you feeling full and satisfied. I definitely recommend it – I'll definitely be back!

We ordered a chicken skewer plate with a side dish of fries and pide with minced meat. As a starter there was salad which was okay. The chicken and fries were good. However, there were 5 pieces of chicken on the plate. When asked whether that wasn't a bit too little for €16, the answer was that it was normal. The pide was terrible. The minced meat simply stank!

Even though we asked when we walked in that we'd like to sit outside, the first server didn't arrive until 35 minutes after we sat down! The food was delicious, but the meat was cold! Because of the endless wait for service, we even missed the last bus... so that was the last time we ate there!

I ordered a kebab sandwich, but unfortunately it was well below the usual standard - neither the taste nor the quality were convincing. Additionally, an ayran here costs €2.50, while in most restaurants it only costs €1.50. That is a very big difference and in my opinion not justified. Overall, I was disappointed and will think twice about coming back.

I visited this restaurant today. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was really good. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was also beautifully decorated and the portions were absolutely sufficient. Unfortunately, there was one downer: the bulgur that came with my dish smelled strongly rotten. After consulting with the service staff, I ordered the same dish again, but this time without bulgur, just with the chicken skewer. Although my request was received warmly, I found it quite cheeky that I was still charged the full price for the new dish - even though one component was missing. All in all, a nice visit with small drawbacks that could be improved.

NEVER AGAIN! It just wasn't our evening. Despite the lame service, my kebab still came with the wrong sauce. After it only came to me with a surcharge of second sauce and I refused it, I was told they couldn't make me a new one. “There is no more meat.” 2min. later you could suddenly do it. Although someone else at the table was told there was no more coleslaw. The kebab then came, well topped, and tasted ok, until there was only bread and meat left, then unfortunately I couldn't finish it. There wasn't anything more than the dry "I'm sorry" from the waitress that evening. The two of them, in an empty restaurant, were apparently too busy chatting to ask us what was going on, to bring food, to clear away or to ask if everything was good... All in all, I would have appreciated a small, more hospitable gesture of apology. Ah, the menu on the internet is also quite disadvantageous when it comes to stimulating the appetite, you should think again, it wasn't really well received by our whole table.

I am very disappointed with the experience of this restaurant. I ordered a single meal over the phone, which unfortunately was prepared with four errors. I came especially from Rheda-Wiedenbrück to pick up the order. When I got home I realized the order was wrong. I understand that everyone can make mistakes sometimes - it's human. But four mistakes in a single meal is just too much. I was already disappointed when I noticed the home. However, what annoyed me even more was that the restaurant was unwilling to provide the correct order as an apology. Instead, I was asked to drive back from Rheda-Wiedenbrück to pick up the correct order. I ended up throwing the meal in the trash and went to bed hungry. This service is absolutely unacceptable to me.

Bestellung falsch aufgenommen und dementsprechend falsch bekommen. Auch die anderen Gerichte sahen sehr lieblos angerichtet aus. Grosses Bier 6.-Euro !! Das sind schon Bar Preise.

The food is good, but I ordered a Mitteleast favorite (noodles) but got some kind of drink. Very bad service, I complained 6 times when my food was coming, I was ignored or listened to but nothing was done. The price is relatively high. The food is good. Overall I didn't like it.

The tastiest food and the best meals

You wait forever until you are even served. The staff is totally unfriendly. The girls walk around like they're on a catwalk and prefer to chat rather than serve properly. If you have a concern, you'll just be laughed at and not addressed. Not great service ever again

I'm very disappointed.. since the owners or chefs have changed, something just isn't right.. just the fries, I haven't eaten such bad, oily and rancid fries for a long time.. either the oil was very old or the fries were just strangely rancid explain.. what is clear, we don't come here to eat anymore.. kebab has also gone down a lot.. it's a shame

I have to say, we ordered something for lunch and it was a total disaster. First the entire meal was brought incorrectly, but later the correct one was not delivered with the ingredients we ordered. The food was like, well, you can do it, but you don't have to. The staff was quite overwhelmed even though the restaurant didn't have 7 tables that were occupied. The cellar barely understood us and the waitress was very, very unfriendly.

After the owner changed, there is only a little left on the card and that's not even a good thing. A large beer for €6 is not possible

We like the food very much, but the waiters inside are extremely unfriendly and always look annoyed in your face. They don't even ask if we want drinks. The waiter simply threw salad and cutlery in front of me, totally unfriendly and unprofessional!! Despite the fact that we always enjoy the food, UNFORTUNATELY I won't come back again! And what I find totally unhygienic is that all the men who aren't currently working there just go behind the counter in their street clothes and chat with other people!! Doesn't work at all.

The only good shop in Gütersloh

Thanks to the employees of this restaurant, because on June 12 around noon we couldn't find a handicapped Sergio for my wife in any bar or clothing stores, etc., and we entered this restaurant asking and they very kindly offered it to us, it's incredible but in all the shops in this area there was nothing, not even in the railway station that was there, thank you very much

Unfortunately, things are no longer the same after the change of ownership. Hospitality and quality have declined. After various price increases we are no longer going there.

I was in this restaurant for the first time today. And I'm very happy that I now know a place where you can eat deliciously and cheaply in Gütersloh. Yes, exactly, such a combination of delicious and cheap also exists. All dishes were extremely tasty. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. You can see that everyone here, from the head chef to the service staff, works for the customer. I give 5 stars for absolutely everything.

After 50 minutes of waiting we got our food. Salad, which was cut far too coarsely, was soaked in dressing and so was the rest of the plate. The food was inedible. Sorry guys but never again. You really have to catch up with the previous owner.

Unfortunately I can't say anything positive Rice still raw and just fatty - Köfte was super small and totally dry - we are used to something different here. Wasn't eaten and wasn't spoken to either. Of course, the full price was still paid. Unfortunately it was very disappointing

Today we confirmed again that the service has not improved, unfortunately. We did not have such experiences with the previous owner. We waited 1 hour for our food because we were forgotten. After 40 minutes of waiting, I asked how long it would take, was asked what we had ordered and that they were going to start now. Ok, after a total of 1 hour I got it. My friend reminded them twice that they were waiting and then forgot, so she took the money and left without ordering. There was no apology, they probably don't know that, it's not the first time a case has happened. I also told the lady how about an apology or something but nothing It just happened that it was stressful, even though the store wasn't even full. I also asked what they would do if the store was full. She said yes, it's stressful in the kitchen. How can it be stressful in the kitchen when the shop is not busy? At least an apology wouldn't be bad.

The Food is good but a bit expensive

Food was really good! Music was a bit too loud for all of us. We almost couldn't have a conversation with the person across the table. Unfortunately, turning the volume down a little wasn't an option either.

First of all, I'm not saying ANYTHING! But if you really want to know why I only give 1 star, then I can of course explain why. I just don't want to mention it at first because everyone deserves a second chance.

Just disappointed today. The 2nd time out of 3 visits. Last to eat, and then wrong. So I didn't order anything else, it was really annoying when everyone was finished and I had to start eating. There was no more daily special and no garlic oil. Salt and spicy powder were also not put on the table. Go somewhere else next time. Can only get better.

I've been eating there for years and have never been disappointed. The grilled dishes, e.g. Adana plates, are very good. The kebab is also very tasty. The restaurant was reopened around 2019 and has a modern and stylish furnishings. The service is always very nice too. Waiting times are within the usual range, neither too long nor too short. The restaurant also has outdoor dining, so you can sit outside even when the weather is good. It is also very centrally located in the city center. Food is also delivered.

Was there this evening and had super delicious food and friendly staff. So the two young girls did everything great: friendly and quick. Given that there was a lot going on, they did a great job. We'd love to come back for dinner.☺️

We've eaten at Mitteleast several times, but things have gotten worse and worse lately. The last time we were there we ordered two large cokes, but they weren't large. In addition, there was no carbon dioxide in the cola, which suggests that it had been open for a long time. For dinner we ordered two grill plates for one person. It wasn't even asked whether we wanted everything on one record together or two different ones, which was usually always asked. When the food arrived we didn't get a salad which was included in the price. In the end we were told at the checkout that it had probably been empty for 2 hours. Normally you wouldn't have had to pay for the salad anymore or you should have been informed in advance. The meat was okay so far, but far too little for two people. The kebab meat was hardly there and the skewers were only one of each even though there were supposed to be two so it was a plate for two. When we brought this up at the end we received a very rude response. All in all, the service that evening was very poor and they were very disorganized. Somehow mitteleast is getting worse and worse and can no longer be recommended.

Very tasty and we were always very satisfied with the service. The portions are large and special requests are always taken into account. We enjoy coming here to eat with the family.

Etwas zu laut durch Musik für unterhaltungsfreudige, Service ist gut, das Essen schmeckt gut, etwas über den normalen Preis.

Mein erster Eindruck hat mich nicht getäuscht, alles prima angerichtet. Wir waren zu 8 Personen auch das Essen war schnell am Tisch. Alle Beschäftigten waren dort sehr nett. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder

Leckere und reichliche Portionen. Cooles und originelles Ambiente. Freundliche und flinke Bedienung. 1 Stern Abzug: Der Gin Tonic ist etwas dünn. Dafür selbst der rote Hauswein ganz gut. Ein bisschen Weinauswahl wäre dennoch wünschenswert. Tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Hingehen! 👍 Nach einiger Zeit waren wir auf einen Samstag mal wieder im Middle East zum Abendessen. Eigentlich alles gut. Lecker sowieso. Freundliche Bedienung. Flott. Die sehr laute Musik hat uns nach dem Essen vergrault und verhindert, noch weitere Getränke zu bestellen. Eine Servicekraft hatte die Lautstärke auf unsere Nachfrage kurzzeitig reduziert, 5 min später hat es ein Kollege wieder aufgedreht. Man hatte das Gefühl, dass sich alle Gäste anschreien müssen ... Sind gegangen und die nächste Getränke zum Ausklang in ruhigerer Umgebung genossen. So kann man Umsatz auch verhindern, liebe Middle East Leute!

Super Essen, freundlicher schneller Service und schöne Location.

Da würde ich nie wieder hin ! Habe Gefrorene und blutige Hähnchenspieß bekommen dann ich den Kellner darauf hin gewiesen und gefragt ob die das nochmal bitte auf dem Grill legen würden , er hat es nach paar Minuten wieder gebracht und es war wie vorher… so ein unverschämter laden! Zu viel Geld bezahlt für etwas besser was man nicht essen könnte ! Den Laden würde ich niemandem empfehlen!!!!!

Nette und freundliche Bedienung. Qualitativ alles super. Und man wird satt. Preis/Leistung stimmt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Kommen gerne wieder.

Das Essen war nicht schlecht, aber leider unfassbar unfreundliche Bedienung, die uns den ganzen Abend versaut hat. Ich war ehrlich gesagt kurz davor kommentarlos aufzustehen und zu gehen. So etwas freches habe ich selten erlebt. Ambiente an einer stark befahrenen, lauten Straße war jetzt auch nicht unbedingt einladend. Da gibt es so viele bessere Restaurants in Gütersloh!

2020 / 5 Sterne Super lekker. Grosse lekkere Pizza und Gyros Auflauf sehr lekker. 5 sterne 17.6.2021 /1 Stern Gyros Teller ....das war nix Pommes leicht weich, Gyros ohne Geschmack 9.9.2023 / 1 Stern Gyros Teller.... War wieder nichts Pommes lekker, Gyros ohne Geschmack und ohne Zwiebeln Ausserdem noch 2 Stücke Fleisch mit "Röhren". Gehabt. Teller sind scheinbar auch kleiner geworden. Das war es dann, vielleicht nochmal wegen Pizza hin, aber Gyros da nicht noch mal.
