Miss Pepper in Bornheim

Well, it's all so-so. The staff is overwhelmed and unfriendly, the food is supposed to be American but it's only vaguely so. The atmosphere is loud and not very clean, overall a 3 out of 5.

A very authentic American diner – great atmosphere, nice decor, and the food is truly typical of the USA. Unfortunately, the American service isn't quite up to par: you sometimes have to wait quite a while. But hey, in the USA they don't work for a minimum wage, here they're much more relaxed. Still worth a visit 👍

Trying to be American. Sometimes a robot brings the food. I can only comment on the spare ribs. I didn't like them. Not exactly cheap. But I only went there once. Other guests ate fries and burgers that they obviously enjoyed.

For the price of the Angus burger I didn't feel it as some exceptional burger. The taste was plain and the fries were regular french fries (steak fries or wedges would fit more to burger that price). However I respect the atmosphere there, therefor can count the price for this on my burger. Unfortunately for me this was the one in a time visit just to check the place. Don't think I will visit it again.

Besides the truly delicious burgers and fries in a typical American diner atmosphere, the consistently friendly and attentive service deserves special mention! In person and on the phone, I have rarely experienced such friendly and helpful service as at Miss Pepper Bornheim! We always enjoy coming back!

Everything was fine and I would go again, however, there wasn't enough service for the number of people eating there at the time. We waited a long time for drinks, payment, etc.

We've been to Miss Pepper many times, but on November 8th, 2025, it was simply awful. We had made a reservation for three people well in advance, arrived on time, and were shown to our table. Since the next table appealed to us more, we asked if it would be possible, as we would have liked a bit more space and the tables at Miss Pepper can quickly become too small when you order a lot. The waiter said it wasn't possible because it was too busy, the tables were reserved, etc. Okay, that could be true, we thought, so no problem. A short time later, however, he brought a group of the same number of people to the table we had requested—a group that had spontaneously decided to go to Miss Pepper without a reservation. So it was possible after all? We already felt cheated at that point. Shortly after we sat down, the waitress came and took our drink order. After about 15 minutes, she returned without drinks, but at least with the intention of taking our food order. The drinks arrived after about 30 minutes and the food after about 60 minutes. It's worth noting that the table next to us (served by the same waitress) ordered long after we did but were served before us. Overall, it seems like Miss Pepper is cutting corners everywhere these days. A robot delivers the food. The non-alcoholic cocktails for €9.90 are simply served in a worn glass with peeling lettering, without any garnish, no fruit like they used to offer—just drab, tasteless, and uninspired. Hardly any syrup, lots of juice, and even more ice cubes. Absolutely not recommended for the price. A glance at the ceiling revealed some unappetizing yellow stains; some of the glasses and cups were sticky, and the place felt unclean overall. €27 for an Angus burger with fries and no sauce is quite steep. The burgers tasted okay, but nothing special anymore. What was truly remarkable, however, was the sheer number of swear words and curses exchanged loudly between the waiters and the kitchen staff, apparently because the kitchen was constantly making mistakes with orders. They were also complaining so loudly about a colleague who was out sick for an extended period that everyone in the restaurant could hear. It was both unprofessional and utterly embarrassing. My personal highlight, though, was the way the chocolate ice cream for dessert was presented—as if someone had defecated on the plate. Instead of a single, continuous scoop, the ice cream was arranged in strips, in a circular pattern. Simply appalling. Miss Pepper in Bornheim used to be a place we loved to eat, and we were happy to leave a generous tip for good service. Those days seem to be over. In short: Loud, expensive, and poor service.

Visit on November 2nd, 2025: A 75-minute wait for a burger and fries is simply too long. The burger and fries were okay, nothing special. The birthday surprise for my cousin was forgotten despite several announcements. Unfortunately, very disappointing overall.

I spontaneously ended up at Miss Pepper again after a long time, and I have to say I was completely satisfied with everything from the food to the service. The food was delicious, and the service was so friendly. It's always wonderful to experience moments like that, where everything just comes together perfectly 🤍 I'll definitely be back more often 😊

The food was okay, our waitress was very nice, and the atmosphere was quite loud, with many parents with children for whom the restaurant and the outdoor area were a playground. I have children myself, but letting your children do whatever they want without any rules is simply unacceptable.

Drinks were nicely chilled. Burgers and fries were brought by a robot. Very friendly staff. It was a lovely lunch there.

The place is nice and clean; the music is a bit too loud. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The robot that brings the food to the table is a real highlight, especially for children. It was a real shame that the food was inferior to that of typical fast-food chains. We had three burgers. The meat patties were tough and rubbery. One Angus burger at least had some flavor, but it was more like a thick rubber disc. Otherwise, the burgers were incredibly bland. The meat and sauces needed more flavor, and the buns needed to be fluffier. The fries were also on par with a fast-food joint. I was expecting steak fries or thicker fries. We would only come back because our child loved the robot and the atmosphere and staff are very nice. Next time, though, we'll just order snacks and not burgers 😅

We had already had the pleasure of experiencing this franchise in Dasing. Everything was top-notch here, too. The restaurant was typically American, the food was very good, and the service was attentive. We were even lucky enough to find everything already decorated for Halloween. I wish something like this would open in the Rhine-Neckar area!

It was delicious, everything was great. 👍 Saturday evening, so it was packed. Luckily, I got one of the last seats.

It's also beautifully decorated in classic American style, and during our visit, they already had Halloween decorations. We'd love to come back.

We were there for the third time yesterday (usually always enthusiastic) and were unfortunately disappointed this time. We waited a long time for our drinks, and unfortunately, all four burgers weren't particularly tasty and weren't hot either (perhaps the robotic serving concept isn't working quite right here yet). The fries were okay. Unfortunately, the espresso was also rather lukewarm. When I complained about it, my criticism was kindly accepted, and I received a warm one. The service staff were all very friendly.

If you've ever wanted to know what mediocre food at an unrealistic price feels like, you should definitely stop by here. A real insider tip. Ordered online? That would be nice. The food was only prepared after we politely reminded them on the spot that we even existed. Everything was packaged in open containers – perfect if you've always wanted to test how sauces work on their own during a car ride. Then, at home, the big surprise: The fries were actually delicious! Unfortunately, that was the culinary highlight. Spare ribs and chicken wings? If you value quality, you're better off going to Lidl – you can get better spare ribs for half the price and you don't even have to put up with the American diner kitsch. The ambiance, by the way, is so American that you almost forget you're sitting in Germany – it's just a shame that this hasn't been reflected in the kitchen. But hey, who needs good food when the decor is just right?

Nine of us were here for a birthday party, and we really enjoyed it. Personally, I'm not a big fan of burgers, but there are plenty of other options! You can also order breakfast all day if you'd like!

The food was very small for the price, and the quality was poor. We had to wait an hour and a half for our food after placing our order. The waitress was very friendly and understanding.

The ribs were super delicious and the portion was large (1200 grams or 800 grams). The price was okay. It's a bit cramped for six people at a table with two benches. The drinks were delicious and cold, with homemade lemonade and iced tea, and there are plenty of non-alcoholic drinks too. More larger napkins would have been nice, not those incredibly thin ones from the dispenser. It's better to make a reservation in advance.

I got a seat right away at lunch, but there were tables that were already reserved. I had the hamburger with fries and a milkshake. The milkshake was large, tasty, and filling. The burger was just a standard fast-food burger, as I remember it. The atmosphere is pretty cool and especially great for families with children. The service was attentive and asked if everything was okay. So, I'd say it's definitely worth a visit.

In my opinion, this is the best Miss Pepper in the Cologne region. The food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable.

The reservation was flawless, and the reception was friendly. Mini immediately got the children's menu with crayons (I think that's better than colored pencils, which sometimes barely draw). The food was as expected at Miss Pepper and good. Mini loved the service robot. The prices are also really great. What I liked was that we were in the right area, where only families with children were. Mini behaved really well, but there are certainly days when things don't work out perfectly, and then you don't immediately get stressed about disturbing others. We would definitely go back.

The food was very good. The wait for a table with a dog was also okay (almost none). Reserving a table would be a good option, as it's often very busy here ;-) We'll do that before our next visit. We've been wanting to try this place for a long time; it's a shame we wasted so much time. It's really worth it. What we didn't like was the dessert (a matter of taste?), which, in my opinion, was also not good value for money. The staff is very friendly.

If you like American knick-knacks, you'll get your money's worth here. The burger was delicious, the atmosphere was okay. Lots of plastic at the tables, but that's probably intentional. Okay for a quick bite to eat, but probably not for a nice evening.

Pure disappointment – eating out is no fun like this Four of us went to Miss Pepper in Bornheim yesterday – and unfortunately, it was one of the most frustrating restaurant visits we've ever experienced. We had reserved our table for 1.5 hours, but that time was spent waiting. It took 35 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. The drinks arrived another 20 minutes later, and we had to wait a total of 90 minutes for the food – even though the place wasn't particularly busy at that point. A plausible explanation? None. The server simply said she'd forgotten to enter the appetizer, which made the wait even longer. When the food finally arrived, it was unfortunately another low point: cold burgers, an incorrect and incomplete order, and a sour cream that was obviously no longer good, presumably because it had been left warm for far too long. The way we were treated as guests became increasingly unpleasant – eventually, a different server came over because the original server was apparently annoyed and didn't want to talk to us anymore. Particularly worrying: One day later, none of us is feeling well. Nausea and stomach problems can hardly be explained by anything other than yesterday's meal. We've been to Miss Pepper often in the past and were generally always satisfied – but this visit was a disaster. Even though they waived our drinks as compensation at the end, €116 for four people was absolutely unjustified for such poor service and quality. We won't be coming back for the time being. It's a real shame how much the quality has declined here.

Great place. Awesome all-you-can-eat! Burgers on Mondays, chicken wings on Tuesdays, ribs on Wednesdays! The waiter is simply amazing. Rafael is simply the best!! Be sure to ask for the salt shaker when you get the bill! We'll definitely be back.

It started with the drinks. 1. The water bottle arrived open. 2. The Miranda was full of ice cubes. 3. The order wasn't taken correctly. 4. The waitress couldn't calculate the order. Overall, it's a shame, because the calling card of a company is always its staff. So, unfortunately, only 1 star.

The food at Miss PeppeR is always good and delicious, but it's a shame how inflexible some of the dishes and the menu are. With a wrap with guacamole dip, you can cancel the dip, but you can't swap it for another dip of the same price.

The waitress was nice, but completely overwhelmed. One person for everything is a lot. The owner should rethink his concept. Many customers left before they could order. This was my fourth time there, and the burgers got worse each time. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it. Any Burger King is better and not as overpriced.

Whenever I want a delicious burger and fries, this is always the place for me. The wait time is 3*, and the food is 10/10.

That was nothing. From the outside, the ambiance was certainly appealing. America's golden age is embellished with numerous memorabilia. The first disappointment came in the form of the menu: lacking in structure and overloaded with countless offers and images, the guest chooses what they came for: a burger and fries. And the accompanying wife modestly chose baked potato with sour cream. Firstly, it's vegan, and secondly, it's not that high in calories. After a reasonable wait, the food arrived: the burger, held together with a toothpick, balanced on a pile of thin, crispy fries. The burger was no revelation; the slice of bacon couldn't save it in terms of taste, let alone the advertised special sauce. Any Big Mac would have been a greater pleasure at a third of the price. The fries were an insult to the taste buds: completely oversalted! But everything served so far was topped by the palm-sized potato wrapped in aluminum foil. Beneath the skin, it had a thin layer of leathery texture, a clear indication of microwave abuse. My wife even criticized this rape of a harmless potato to the waitress, who promised to pass it on to the kitchen. The potato was returned almost entirely. We waited in vain for a greeting from the kitchen. Now came the finale: almost 40 euros were called for. I handed this to the lady in the form of a 50-euro note to change. She was busy handing out the change, while I pressed a few euro coins into her hand as a tip. She thanked me and rushed off. All that was left on the table was the change and my 50-euro note. We carried the 50-euro note after her to the counter and received a meaningless thank you in return. It was truly unique that I had to carry the bill after the staff in a restaurant. Our visit will remain a one-time occurrence. America first! No thanks!

On our way to Spain we were hungry and the kids wanted Miss Pepper, I googled the nearest and here we are! Nice and service minded staff, gluten-free delicious bread( not used to that) and the burgers were really tasty! Max our dog got a bowl with water! Thank you! I will recommend this Miss Pepper!

Overall, it was a successful evening with various convenience foods. What really upset me was an early complaint about a cocktail that I couldn't stand at all, and they refused to cancel it. Even though I only drank half of the drink, I suffered an allergic reaction. It's a shame that in such cases, the customer's needs aren't taken into account and consumption is forced or the loss of the drink is accepted. We ate there for €150, and I would have given a generous tip, but unfortunately not under these circumstances. It's also a form of profit optimization.

Our visit on June 15, 2025, was quite spontaneous. Without a reservation, we had to wait a bit, but we managed to get a table for two. The staff seemed rather confused from start to finish, clearly overwhelmed with their tasks, and not particularly friendly. The food was below average and half cold when it arrived. Drink prices are quite high. Therefore, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. It's a shame.

We like going there because they also have gluten-free rolls, which our daughter even likes. The best part was that the staff noticed it was our son's birthday. The robot promptly came, sang "Happy Birthday," and gave him a plate of cake and ice cream. We thought that was very thoughtful. Overall, the food is very good, the staff is always friendly, and it's essential to make a reservation in advance. It gets busy on weekends.

I recently visited Miss PeppeR in Bornheim. The ambiance is fine, and the service was generally friendly. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite measure up for me – it tasted average and was quite expensive. I've had much better and cheaper meals at competitors in the area. One real disappointment, however, was the payment process: The waiter had mixed up the bills, so the person next to me accidentally paid my cheaper bill. The mistake was openly admitted to me – which is perfectly fine from a human perspective; it can happen on a stressful day. What's absolutely unacceptable, however, is that the correction is then made at the customer's expense, including back-and-forth calculations with coins, so that I ended up paying more than I intended. Mistakes happen – but such things should be handled internally, not at the customer's expense. It's a real shame, because it unfortunately leaves a negative overall impression.
