Miso Sushi Restaurant in Bad Nauheim

We always enjoy ordering sushi. Very good sushi in Bad Nauheim. We ordered sushi and duck yesterday. The wait was only 20 minutes. Very fast. Very satisfied.

The food tastes great, no complaints there, but the service is truly abysmal. First, you have to wait at least 30 minutes at the restaurant, even though you're told it will be ready for pickup in 30 minutes. Second, the staff simply can't keep up with the orders. You show up after 45 minutes because you were told on the phone that the food would be ready, only to be told they didn't even receive a call?! Either hire people competent enough to take orders properly, or simply stop taking so many orders!

Perfect for pickup, and on weekends it's best to order about 1 hour earlier.

Don't eat in! It's cold, uncomfortable, and you're treated like a second priority. We waited 60 minutes for our appetizer and another 30 for our main course. We only received both after asking for them. One sushi roll was wrong, but waiting again with a child? Absolutely not. One appetizer never arrived. We used our phone's flashlight to use the restroom. A family with three children arrived around 7 pm (they had school the next day). After 25 minutes, they hadn't even been able to order drinks, so we left. It was incredibly frustrating. The owners are working hard all the time, but only for the customers. They should just close the dining area!

We've always picked up our food so far, and everything went well. After receiving a call from the restaurant after an hour of ordering the first time, telling us we had to pick it up ourselves because they didn't have a driver, we were a bit annoyed. Now, after a while, we decided to try again. After waiting for three hours and then calling again, we were told it would be here in 25 minutes. When we still hadn't heard after an hour, we called again and were told to give the order number, which we weren't put through to. Then the owner simply hung up. About 45 minutes later, after we had already picked something up from somewhere else, the sushi was finally delivered after a total of four hours of waiting!

By far the best sushi place I've ever eaten at. We'll be back!

Encouraged by the high reviews, I came to this "restaurant" to try the sushi. At first, I wondered if it was even open... the entrance door was dirty and looked like the entrance to an abandoned restaurant. But surprise: you could get food inside... but you wouldn't want to eat there. Everything was dirty and dusty, with cobwebs on the walls and various insects, the floor hadn't been swept, and the atmosphere was like a filthy basement. The restroom was just as awful. I don't understand how anyone can run a restaurant like this. Besides us, there was only one other couple of customers inside, and three people behind the counter. Despite this, they were completely clueless. I thought they'd at least make up for it with good food, but unfortunately, the portion (sushi) was disappointingly small, and it was pricey for such a tiny portion. The taste wasn't impressive, and you had to ask for soy sauce and wait. We also had to wait for the check, and we were dressed to go out at the counter. God, what a disaster. I don't recommend it.

Simply awful and outrageous! Ordered food for four people. After half an hour, we received drinks and miso soup. After an hour, the food still hadn't arrived. The sushi is amazing, as always. However, I don't understand why they can't just sweep through the restaurant with a cleaning rag, clean the place properly, and clean the floor, and serve shiny glasses instead of dirty ones. Add to that the obvious black market (writing on paper, not typing into the cash register, always demanding cash, and the card reader seemingly malfunctioning even though it works perfectly fine).

Maybe great for takeaway, but if you go and eat there it's disgusting; the dishes and glasses are really dirty with grease and other things. I'm just saying, you don't have to experience that. One of the best sushi restaurants in the Giessen and Friedberg area! The sushi is absolutely fresh and delicious—in my opinion, some of the best around. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and you immediately feel at home. The value for money is truly hard to beat. The ambiance could be improved a bit, but it's still cozy. We've become regular customers—and for good reason!

The service, communication and time management have always been an absolute nightmare, waiting times of up to 60 minutes were normal, we endured this with hanging and choking because the sushi was always tasty and enjoyable, despite the consistent quality. Since the quality of the sushi has now unfortunately changed negatively, it no longer tastes as delicious as before and we, all four family members, two adults and two children, got diarrhea straight after and from the meal, so from now on we are saving ourselves at least €60 for every order there. We won't be coming back and based on our experience, I can't and won't recommend it to anyone, on the contrary, you can save yourself these experiences with a clear conscience.

The sushi tastes good. However, if you take a look into the kitchen when you pick it up, you will think twice. Delivery is not an option there. Waiting for 3 hours, making two phone calls afterwards and then getting the wrong thing delivered happens often.

Half of the "restaurant" is dark, the "waiter" in a dirty T-shirt and sweatpants says as soon as he orders that he has no idea about the food, the floor is sticky, the tables are sticky, the smell of old frying oil is in the entire room, the "kitchen" is open behind a counter, more like a bar. In the dining room, old wooden chairs and tables, more from a rustic beer bar than in a sushi bar, only two women in unpleasant gossip mode exhibitionistic volume, once twentysomething, once in her early teens. The Kirin we ordered came in a Licher beer glass, without a bottle, the edamame were usual, but warmed with low salt and then obviously with coarse. sprinkled with salt. The area in front of the counter was always full of people picking things up, there was obviously a lot to do. After the beer and edamame arrived, it took 1½ hours for the sushi to arrive, so long that even the young teenagers wondered if it was rude to ask... Ich habe am 12.1.25 mit meinen beiden Söhnen (19&16) auf Wunsch des Älteren dort einen Tisch reserviert. Aber da fing das Problem schon an. Die Mitarbeiterin war der deutschen Sprache nur soweit mächtig dass sie immer nur ja gesagt hat. Als wir dann dort waren war nur der rechte Teil des Restaurants belegt und kein Platz mehr für uns frei. Wir sind dann mit der Mitarbeiterin in den linken Bereich gegangen und sie hat erst mal das Licht angemacht und dann begonnen den Tisch abzuwischen. Dann hat sie uns noch mal alleine gelassen und 3 Karten geholt. Und dann kam sie lange nicht mehr wieder. Sogar die Jungs haben den Eindruck gehabt dass sie überfordert war. Zumal sie sich auch noch um die Leute kümmern musste die ihre Bestellung abholen wollten. Wir hatten dann aber wenigstens schon mal unsere Bestellung gemacht und die Getränke erhalten. Am liebsten hätte ich mir warmen Tee bestellt, denn es gibt im linken Bereich keine Heizung. Wir haben uns dann auch schon die Jacken angezogen und gefragt ob sie es nicht wärmer machen kann. Als sie das verneint hat, sind wir dann doch noch in den rechten Teil gegangen und haben dort einen Platz zwischen Klo und Durchgang bekommen. Dann hat es noch ein bisschen gedauert und dann kam auch schon das Essen. Es war relativ lecker aber ziemlich teuer (68 € für 3 Sushi Platten und ein Edamame). Als wir dann zahlen wollten mussten wir auch 2 mal nachfragen

Disaster. I've been getting my sushi here for years because it's simply delicious. But the service is so terrible that it's the last time. The pick-up time is never right, you can wait at least 15 minutes on site, usually longer & with a lot of luck something was forgotten & you can wait another 30 minutes. I wouldn't recommend eating out in the suburbs to anyone, as the service here is also a complete disaster. It's just a shame that the negative recessions aren't taken to heart.

We weren't even asked if we needed anything else or anything. For every little thing you had to get up and ask at the counter. After we said we wanted to pay, we waited for 20 minutes and were surprised that no one came. We go over to the counter and see that the three of them are each treating themselves to ice cream. Service is so underplayed. I think we were lucky that we didn't have to pick up the food from the counter and bring it to the table ourselves. Regarding the sushi. It tasted good, but after eating it, it tore my stomach. I had gotten food poisoning. And I don't have a sensitive stomach. I will never visit this restaurant again.

I'm really sorry to only have to leave 1 star here because the sushi here is really one of the best in the area. But I've really reached my limits with this store. You haven't been able to order for delivery here for years, although it's always an option on the website. So often I have ordered a delivery, waited far too long for it, only for the employees to not even know anything about the order when they call. Every time they say that the supplier is sick or "not in today" or that the website is causing problems. You will then be asked if you can pick up the food, which will then be prepared. I don't think the store should continue to make it seem like you can easily order via the website when those orders probably won't even get through to the restaurant. At the very least, delivery should be removed as an option because 9 times out of 10, delivery cannot be delivered. I can't say why I still trusted it again and again. I will only order here - if at all - by telephone and by collection. Unfortunately there is no other way, but unfortunately it is conveyed to you in a completely different way. I would like to deduct the last star because it seems to me as if the owners here are constantly pushing up the overall rating... Today was just Horrible. They brought wine diluted with water!!! This was confirmed by another person. When I asked for a replacement, they couldn’t even replace it with anything. The rolls were delicious, but I still wanted to drink it. They ordered Coca-Cola, and it never arrived.😒😮‍💨 The room smelled of fish and was not ventilated. Lack of comfort and music...they turned it on quietly themselves on the phone. Overall a place with disgusting service.

There were three of us and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Inside there are two rooms with tables, unfortunately one of them is used as storage (visible). You can get more out of the ambience. It was a white basement room with little to no decoration. Not very inviting. Despite the fact that we were alone, we had to wait 5 minutes for the cards and we also had to pay the bill at the counter because no one came to the table. A pity. The food was good and there was nothing to complain about.
