Mirou in Hamburg

Not really a bad place for lunch, but the Shashuka wasn't authentic at all and wasn't sophisticated in any other way, which I found a shame because I was looking forward to it. The falafel were delicious. Service was okay

Applause and whistles Falafel dry and not seasoned Pita - rock hard in the sabich, otherwise very small amounts of pita for dipping. Pita isn't fluffy and didn't rise properly. Bread bag not hygienic 🍆 Puree with smoked salt instead of roasting the skin black. The restaurant has a water flat rate. Some things just don't taste authentically Israeli Nevertheless, other dishes taste good and are beautifully presented. Portions have now become smaller. There is simply not enough bread.

Whenever we are in HH, we like to come here. The service is friendly and the food is very tasty. Recommendation: Not without a reservation!! What should definitely be considered is the distance between the tables. It's hardly possible to walk through without hitting something on one of the tables, but a "normal" body size is enough, if you can put it like that. A little more space would be very pleasant for everyone involved.

Very good Israeli cuisine. We had mezze as a starter, traditional sabich with kofte as a main course and good Israeli red wine. That was a very successful evening. However, you actually have to wash your clothes afterwards, at least if you're sitting near the open kitchen.

It tasted wonderful, fresh and excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic and we were warmly looked after. We will definitely come back and recommend Mirou!

The food is delicious. But unfortunately it is very loud in the restaurant, so it is difficult to have a conversation. We cannot recommend alcoholic drinks. Unfortunately, we and our clothes smelled like grease after our stay.

For me, better than the well-known NENI chain. I already knew all the dishes and I think they are presented here to perfection. This depth and balance of flavor is truly great culinary art. The acidity and roasted aromas of the eggplant were outstanding. The hummus was even better than mine ;-) and the baba ganoush was world class!!! Unfortunately we were only visiting Hamburg, otherwise we would definitely be regulars here! Keep it up!

I found this restaurant while walking. The atmosphere was super nice. There are two rooms, but they are connected to each other. The concept behind this restaurant is explained in detail in the menu and is definitely worth supporting. The food was fresh and absolutely sufficient. As a tip, a reservation is recommended.

Als erstes fällt sofort auf, dass das Restaurant vor allem bei jungen Menschen beliebt ist - Ausgehgegend Winterhude. Das Mirou reklamiert für sich von der klassischen israelischen Küche inspiriert zu sein und koscheres Essen sollte man hier dann auch nicht erwarten. Die Auswahl der Speisekarte kann durch aus mit einer guten Auswahl von Gerichten punkten. Wir hatten zu weit als Vorspeise vier Mezze, wie man sie üblicherweise bei guten orientalisch-arabischen Restaurants findet, lediglich die hausgemachten Oregano-Chips mit Zhug-Mayo überraschten innovativ. Alles sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Als Hauptspeise entschieden wir uns für "Traditionelles Sabich" mit Baharat Köftespießen, ebenfalls frisch und schmackhaft. Mit zwei Gläsern Wein p.P. (die weißen waren eher nicht mein Geschmack) sind wir 120€ losgeworden - für die Gegend nicht ungewöhnlich. Achtung: Keine Barzahlung.

We have wanted to go to this restaurant for a long time! And met our expectations :) We ordered the maqlube, the roasted eggplant and the summer hummus. The main courses are quite large but we really wanted to try an appetizer. We liked the traditional hummus better than the summer 🤔 Delicious detox soda as a drink 👍 We can highly recommend the restaurant! Ps: it's a bit loud inside but you forget it as soon as the food comes😎

We were there for dinner yesterday and the many good reviews are absolutely true. We had a great evening in a very nice atmosphere. The food was great, we can particularly recommend the falafel and the bread salad. We'd love to come back.

We really liked the combination food, with a base and ingredients of your choice, was very tasty and really filling. The lemonade with coriander and lemongrass was unusual but very good! Service very friendly!

This afternoon we ate at Mirou in Hamburg Winterhude and were completely thrilled! ☕️ The cappuccino with oat milk was incredibly creamy and perfectly prepared. The ice cream with a special kick really surprised us, and the handmade baklava was a real treat. 🍨🥮A special compliment to the service – incredibly attentive, friendly and fast! 👏 We felt very welcome, especially with our family. The atmosphere is super family friendly and relaxed. It feels like an authentic, sustainable company that places great value on quality and customer satisfaction. 🌿💚The diverse selection of vegan delicacies impressed us immediately after eating. A place we can definitely recommend and to which we would happily return!

Non of this food is Israeli, whatever Israeli food is supposed to be. Not a political statement. Just reality.

This time we just picked it up there and the food was ready 20 minutes after we called. When we got home we were amazed at how well the food was prepared in the cardboard bowls, which is very rare! The taste was always super delicious!! Next time we would like to come back to eat on site!

Great food, great service! The street is a bit noisy and there are plenty of parking spaces, but as is the case in HH, they are occupied.

It was my first time at MIROU. The service staff were great, we didn't have to wait long for the food and the food was also good. You can see that it is prepared with love and the combinations of the dishes are great. It was tasty, but I personally found the food a little bland. I was also a bit bothered by the paper foil under the food, which softens over time and is then cut with the cutlery. Without it it would definitely be a nicer eating experience. All in all a good experience! We paid €30 per person for a main course and a drink.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the food at all because it was very bland and I wasn't full either. Paying 20 euros for a hand-sized piece of dough with 6 slices of avocado, some vegetables and 2 pieces of halloumi is really overkill. The price here is justified by the location and not by the food. Very disappointing. The table shook and the waiter ignored us and our requests.

Tolles Essen und sehr schönes Ambiente! Einen Tisch reservieren macht Sinn, da das Mirou meist gut besucht ist.

The restaurant is really beautifully and harmoniously furnished and you can see that it has been decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The staff was very attentive and super polite, gave us good advice and was very friendly. I had the sweet potato from the oven with halloumi and my companion had the sabich with chicken skewers. Both dishes were very tasty and beautifully prepared 😊

Actually, I wasn’t sure whether to rate them 4 stars or 3 stars, as I think our experience was somewhere in between. We ordered 3 appetizers (Meze), and they were all very tasteless (all of us had the same opinion). They were simply missing flavors. On the other hand, my main dish was great! I had grilled aubergines with minced meat, and it was full of different textures and flavors! We were happy with 2 out of 3 main dishes, while the maghluba with falafel was still missing flavor. The portions were quite large, and after the starters and main dishes, we were very full… no space for dessert! The service was alright. They were fast and professional, but one could see they were stressed out due to being understaffed. All in all, it was good, and I decided to rate them 4 stars for now and adjust it (if needed) after my next visit!

I had a celebration at Mirou Atelier and was completely satisfied! The room has a great atmosphere, is beautifully decorated and there is even a shelf for gifts and a shelf with vases. We had the "Big Balagan" menu and it was simply delicious. All the guests were also thrilled. All three courses were served on cake stands for sharing. Not only did it look great, it was also super practical because the table wasn't that full and there was still room for the platters of falafel, cheese and meat. The service was very attentive and super friendly. Not only will we come back to the restaurant, but we can also highly recommend the Atelier for celebrating. :-)

Food was great, the waitresses put a lot of effort into it. Only the one waiter (younger and his hair completely greasy with gel) was absolutely unfriendly, disinterested and arrogant. You don't need something like that, it should be thrown out straight away and it just spoils the evening for everyone!

Wir waren gestern das erste Mal im Mirou und waren begeistert von dem tollen Service, der Location und dem großartigen Essen. Einen Minipunktabzug gibt es weil es bei der Dessertbestellung ein wenig Hin und Her gab. Erst war das Dessert bestellbar, dann war es aus, dann eine Alternative bestellt und erst 10 min nach der Bestellung wurde nochmal mitgeteilt, dass das Dessert (Knafeh)weitere 15 min braucht weil es frisch gemacht wird. Habe mich dann schlussendlich „nur“ für einen Cappuccino entschieden. Meine Begleitung hatte das großartige Baklava. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und klären dann vorher was es an Dessert gibt ;-)

Kompletter Einblick beim Essen in die Toilette:( Leider war eindeutig Gluten in eigentlich glutenfreien Essen. Bitte bedenkt, wer glutenintollerant ist, ist krank und hat kurz- als auch langfristig mit den (ernsthaften) Folgen von glutenhaltigem Essen zu tun. Also nur angeben, wenn ihr es auh wirklich gewährleisten könnt! Service war nett, Essen lecker.

Der Hauptgang war sowohl optisch als auch geschmacklich richtig gut. Das Baklava hat uns nicht geschmeckt, dafür war der Cheesecake der Hammer. Die Servicekraft war ausgesprochen aufmerksam und freundlich, hat die Gerichte super erklärt - dickes Lob dafür! Bitte tauscht das Besteck aus, das ist wirklich nicht mehr appetitlich... Weil das Wetter so schön war, haben wir draussen gesessen - ist an der Hauptstraße mit einer Bushaltestelle direkt davor nur so semi schön. Alles in allem, gerne wieder, dann aber im Restaurant.

Im Atelier sitzen zu können ist bequemer, gemütlicher und ruhiger. Das Essen und Service waren wunderbar, wie immer.

Great ambience & attentive service! Drinks and food came very quickly and were delicious. What struck me particularly positively was the note in the menu that the restaurant management and team donate to various sustainable projects in Hamburg and are also active themselves.

Mirou was fantastic! The flavors were bright, the falafel was crispy and moist, the watermelon salad was a perfect sweet, salty blend, and the service was kind and accommodating. Portions are pretty big so I also had food to take home for the next 2 meals—yum. Wish I lived here so I could go back on the regular.

Freundlicher Service. Allerdings ertrank das Essen in Öl, was insbesondere den Auberginen nicht gut tat. Es war auch sehr „vorsichtig“ gewürzt. Das kenne ich aus Israel etwas raffinierter. Wir saßen zu Dritt an einem Tisch am Durchgang, der eher für zwei Personen geeignet wäre.

Authentische jüdische Küche, mit frischen qualitativ hochwertigen Zutaten- sehr geeignet auch für Vegetarier.

Ich mus sagen, dass es meine erste Erfahrung mit der israelischen Küche war daher hab ich keinen Vergleich. Grundsätzlich war ich sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Kellnerin sehr nett. Wir haben draußen gesessen, weswegen ich nicht sagen kann wie die Situation innerhalb des Restaurants war. Der Außenbereich war nett und schlicht gehalten, allerdings recht laut durch die Straße, aber dafür kann das Restaurant nichts. Was ich ein bisschen komisch fand, war das ein Wohnungssuchanzeige der Speisekarte bei lag, da finde ich wenn man das schon über das Restaurant machen will kann man ja ein Flyer oder so im Laden auslegen, aber es muss nicht unbedingt in der Speisekarte liegen.

Sehr tolles Angebot, viele vegetarische Gerichte, sehr freundliche Atmosphäre und gute Qualität der Speisen. Portionengrösse eher gross!

Super nice restaurant in Hamburg Winterhude. The furnishings are really beautiful and you immediately feel very comfortable. The food is incredibly tasty and beautifully prepared, but not exactly cheap either. My stuffed sweet potato with salad & haloumi cost €19.50. What I unfortunately find negative is that the two tables are very close to each other, so that the people next to you feel like they're listening the whole time. Which is of course not so nice when it comes to private conversations in the evening. The service is very good. So we'd love to come back ☺️

Waren das erste Mal in dem Restaurant, sehr hübsches Ambiente und freundliches Personal. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und von sehr guten Qualität, sowohl seitens der Zutaten, als auch seitens der Frische und der Zubereitung. Wir werden ganz sicher wieder kommen.

We went there for a birthday and it was fantastic! The food was so varied and delicious, it was really fun to try out so much! And the service was super good, always totally attentive and friendly. Will definitely go there again :)

Mega nice restaurant with great food. What's great is that you can expand any basic dish to include meat, fallafel, cheese or shrimp. Special requests are gladly implemented. Great service, good food, large portions, good value for money.

Also ich sitze ja nicht gerne eng und ich hab’s auch nicht gerne laut. Aber ich mag die israelische Küche und deshalb kam das Mirou dann doch auf die Liste. - Erwartungsgemäß war es laut und quirlig. Mir zu eng bestuhlt, konnte man aber vorher sehen … Insofern möchte ich mich darüber natürlich nicht beschweren. Aber der Laden ist wirklich ungeeignet für ein Restaurant, wie ich finde. - Das Essen war auch erwartungsgemäß, nämlich lecker und orientalisch. Aber seit der Mehrwertsteuerrückerhöhung ist irgendwie nichts mehr wirklich angemessen, was Preise angeht. Die Latte Macchiato zum Abschied war kalt und Mit Hafermilch gemacht. Dabei wurde ich extra extra vorher gefragt. Antwort, als ich sagte, das sei aber keine echte Milch: „dann haben wir wohl keine“ … Gut gut, ich weiß, Personalnotstand. …kam dann auch nicht auf die Rechnung.

Es hat leider eine knappe halbe Stunde gedauert bis wir Getränke bestellen konnten. Der Rest war aber super! Ansonsten überhaupt nichts zu meckern. Ich komme wieder :)

Great Israeli Restaurant!! It was super tasty, the quality of the food was simply top, everything was prepared with love, the service staff was extremely friendly and patient, funny, flexible! We were served and treated really well and felt completely at home! :) Highest recommendation! PS: The baklava is absolutely AWESOME!! Never had such great baklava as there!! :O

From the moment we entered Mirou Restaurant we knew we were in for a special experience. The warm welcome from the attentive staff set the tone for a wonderful evening. The restaurant's ambience is unique - a stylish mix of modern and traditional furnishings, complemented by soft lighting and pleasant music in the background. You immediately feel comfortable and the atmosphere invites you to linger. The menu is an impressive demonstration of culinary art, combining local ingredients with international influences. Every course was a highlight in itself: from the starter to the dessert, everything was perfectly coordinated and artfully presented. Particularly noteworthy is the Sabich, which impressed with its rich aroma and perfect texture. The staff deserves special mention for their professionalism and friendliness. Every question about the dishes was answered in detail and with a smile, and the wine pairing recommendations were excellent. At the end there was a Knafeh, a true work of art that not only impressed visually, but also set off fireworks in terms of taste. Overall, our visit to Mirou was an outstanding experience that we would recommend to anyone looking for fine cuisine, first class service and a warm atmosphere. We will definitely come back!

An absolute must when you are in Hamburg! I live in Hamburg and come here with everyone who visits me. The food is fresh, of good quality and unusually tasty! The price-performance ratio is right for me :) We don't even need to talk about the ambience. All in all, a coherent concept. I'm already looking forward to my next visit with you 🫶🏼

We went to MIROU for the first time as a couple (on a recommendation). Sweet little shop with little space, but mega-full and stylishly furnished. We were warmly welcomed and then decided on a few starters and a main course each. Suddenly we had to wait a really long time for our food and were a bit confused because the table next to us got the food, but they only ordered after us. It turned out that our kitchen voucher was “lost”, which was revealed to us by the waiter (I think it was also the owner). As an apology, in addition to the honest statement and a verbal apology, there was also extra bread and an extra starter! Unfortunately, the main course I ordered (Shakshuka) was no longer available. But here too I was kindly put off and given another delicious dish. I worked in the catering industry myself and know how unpleasant it is when mistakes like this happen. Extremely elegant and really customer-friendly solution! We'd love to come back!

The Israeli restaurant at Mühlenkamp offers a relaxed atmosphere, and the outdoor terrace is also very inviting! In addition, a very courteous and attentive staff. The food was great, but the male server had a bad attitude and even tried to make us leave more tip than we wanted to. That was really weird and it is a pitty that such a nice place with delicious food is clouded by poor service.

You will have to order the same thing twice to get a few things on your plate.. the portions are ridiculous and the prices are really high for the quality and taste. I advise against.

Es war für uns alle echt was besonderes, alles super lecker und neu, wir waren das 1.mal israelisch essen. Da wir Landeier meist Pizza oder Griechisch essen ( was es hier so gibt) war ein Essen gehen in Hamburg so ungewohnt teuer, das wir das wohl nur 1x im Leben machen. :) Aber wir haben es genossen und sagen von Herzen Danke für alle Restaurant / Service Kräfte.

Der Abend war sehr gelungen, wir waren mit unserem einjährigen Sohn und Freunden essen. Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich, der Service war super und kinderfreundlich. Die Räumlichkeiten sind übersichtlich, das sollte man einplanen, aber ansonsten war vom Wickeltisch bis Kinderstuhl für Familien alles vorhanden.

If I could I would give 6 stars. I recommend first reserving a table via the restaurant's website. Otherwise it would be a shame if you go there and it is fully booked, which often happens. I drank the delicious detox lemonade there. It consists of lemonade with ginger, coriander and lemongrass. Refreshing and great! As a mezze (starter) I ate cauliflower salad (see picture) with celery, nuts and allspice. The portion size was decent. Great taste with this combination of different ingredients. And the salad was very attractively prepared and presented. The main course was traditional sabich (pita bread, hummus, eggplant, red cabbage, tomatoes, cucumber, zhug, amba, tahini, fresh cilantro, avocado and falafel). Very nicely presented on a wooden board. The eye eats with you - and how! Really, totally delicious and very fresh ingredients. An inspiring taste experience. The service was attentive, friendly and fun. The furnishings are cozy and attractive, the atmosphere is very pleasant. Only card payment is possible I will gladly come again! Yammy.

The food, especially the falafel, was delicious! The staff is very friendly and attentive!!! I would have liked to give it a full 5 stars, but personally I found the portion of pita bread with the starters to be too small. (really mini) And yes, you could have ordered some more, but I found that to be unreasonable in terms of price...even if the ingredients are of good quality. The main course, however, is of a suitable size. 😊

Food authentic and very tasty, also very digestible. Service staff simply brought beer to councilors instead of Israel - without prior asking. Macabee ----> be out! Strange, strange ---> at the next table the other waiter later said Israel several times. Beer served. When asked - I don't know where he got it from??? Addendum ---> After the declaration about not serving Israel. There is a downgrade!!! The guest is probably in a position to decide whether he wants to - especially if you can understand what has been happening in Israel for months. Be sure to reserve in the evening!!
