Were there to celebrate a birthday. Big praise for the great service, the lady with her good mood was actually a highlight of the evening and also created a great atmosphere at our table. Unfortunately there were >10 minutes between the arrival of the first and last dish, which meant that most of it was already cold when we started eating. About the food itself: If my truffle pasta had been still hot, I would have given it 5 stars without hesitation because the taste was great. Unfortunately the consistency suffered greatly. The portion size was absolutely fine. My partner's steak was good, although seared medium instead of rare.

The risotto was tasteless and unappealing, the supposed truffle pasta was sticky noodles, like thick ready-made spaetzle with a greasy cream sauce! There is no trace of truffle taste let alone truffles, we have never eaten such bad pasta at an Italian restaurant. Price/performance is not right at all! The restaurant has an appealing ambience

Great service, was just drinking socially

The taste of the food is great, but the portion size has decreased significantly (mini portion of truffle pasta for €22.50). When I asked, they wanted to clarify this, but they never heard anything back, and the food came with a delay, even though it happened three times The same pasta and once a different pasta were ordered, there are certainly more sophisticated dishes, but yes, sorry, etc., it didn't happen.. well.. The music was good, unfortunately it was so loud for 2-3 hours that you couldn't hold a conversation ("party Italians" - all well and good, you still don't need sudden hearing loss on a Friday evening, we also asked if the music was a little Ticking can be turned down quieter, we were only briefly told this was the concept and it's good). Service tried hard and appeared friendly on the outside, but we had to constantly stop the service so that our bottle in the wine cooler (unfortunately not within reach) could be refilled. Prices for the drinks were at the usual level with other relevant “HotSpot” restaurants. All in all, unfortunately not very convincing, let's see if we go again...

The drinks were really good and so was the dessert. Our main dishes were sub par, definitely not worth the money. My prawn pasta had a few prawns that were hacked into tiny bits, and the truffle pasta had truffles bits scattered all over an EXTREMELY cheesy sauce. The food aside, our waitress was exceptionally unfriendly and had absolutely zero sense of hospitality. I haven't encountered such bad service in a while. She was curt and extremely unprofessional ( our plates, glasses and cutlery landed with thuds on our table). Real shame.

Food was OK. Two of us liked it. The problem was that in the middle of the dinner they decided to turn the music so loud that we could no longer have a conversation. We had a guest from Spain, who clearly is used to loud restaurants, and eben she told us it was too loud for her. We had to leave early.

War jetzt schon zum dritten Mal im Mezzavia zum Abendessen und muss sagen, dass es zu einem der besten Italiener in München gehört. Das Restaurant an sich ist vom Ambiente sehr einladend. Der Sevice war jedes Mal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war bis jetzt immer Top und auch die Weinauswahl finde ich sehr ansprechend. Der Besitzer ist immer sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Es macht aber Sinn, immer vorher zu reservieren, da es immer voll ist! Kann das Mezzavia sehr empfehlen.

Stay away! Pasta is not as it should be. Prices are outrageous and no respect for customers. There are hundreds of options in Munich to choose from. I'll never go again.

Essen ist sehr lecker. Aber Service schlägt Geld bei der Rechnung drauf. Man sagt 12% Trinkgeld und sie tippen 18% ein. Drucken keine Rechnung aus und sind unfreundlich bei der Verabschiedung

Sehr schönes Ambiente und überaus freundliche Bedienung. Die Vorspeisenplatte ist sehr gut und riesig für 2. Unsere Filets (hatten beide Fleischgerichte) waren hervorragend. Kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Schönes authentisches italienisches Lokal im Lehel. Leider war am Valentinstag mit Menü alles hektisch, falsch an den Tisch gebracht mit einer Wartezeit von teilweise 45min zwischen den Gängen. Daher wirkte das Erlebnis unorganisiert und das Personal sehr überfordert. Vor allem an solchen planbaren Tagen muss das besser laufen! Geschmacklich war das Essen überzeugend. Preislich bewegt sich das Mezza Via in höheren Kreisen. Einen Besuch ist es Wert.

Portionsgröße und Qualität lassen vor allem bei der Pasta zu wünschen übrig. Dazu sehr hochpreisig. Man zahlt vor allem für das Ambiente und die Musik. Dazu Münchner Schnösel Gesellschaft.

Das Ambiente ist schön. Tolle Location. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist leider nicht ganz stimmig. Die Fleischgerichte sind sehr teuer und von guter Qualität und das kostet aber alle anderen Gerichte Risotto oder Pastagerichte sind eher "Durchschnitt" und das Geld nicht wert. Die Weineauswahl ist hervorragend und auch hier spiegelt sich dir Lage der Location wieder, im Lehel zahlt man wahrscheinlich auch den Mietpreis mit. Cocktails sind ok aber nicht überragend. Zu späterer Stunde wurde die Musik so laut aufgedreht, dass man sein eigenes Wort nicht mehr verstanden hat.... was das junge Publikum gefeiert hat. Der Service ist zu Stammgästen bevorzugt freundlich aber trotz der Lautstärke genervt und arrogant, verständlich... Nach mehreren Besuchen, kommen wir aber nicht wieder da es einfach viel zu teuer ist und das Preis-Leistingsverhältnis nicht stimmig ist. Für einen Restaurantbesuch mit guter Küche ist die Mezza Via nur zu empfehlen, wenn man auf laute Musik steht und sich nicht unterhalten möchte. :-) Für jüngeres Publikum, die gesehen werden wollen ist der Laden ok. Für Geschäftsdinner oder einen gemütlichen Restaurantbesuch nicht zu empfehlen.

The former Barfly has turned into a super cosy nice and gentle Italian restaurant with very nice service and delicious food. Highly recommended!

The Atmosphere of the Restaurante is very nice. The Restaurante has very good Light Conditions. The Building built at around 1900 Jugendstil. The Music typicall Italian. The Waiters where nice and quick. Price-Quality ratio is not like i was expecting. I tried Ossobuco which was fine, the Risotto was good however the meat was too much cooked, also i tried the Casarecce al parmigiano el tartufo, for 23€ you will get a very small Portion and the taste is absolutely nothing special for the price. We tried the Fish Orata on the daily card, it was clean and good.

Expensive, but amazing italian atmosphere

Wir waren am Valentinstag mal wieder im Mezza Via essen. Das Ambiente war wie immer schön. Leider gab es nur ein Menü (für 80 Euro), was wir vorher gerne gewusst hätten. Das wäre an sich noch in Ordnung gewesen, allerdings fanden wir, dass beim Essen das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht gepasst hat. Das Essen war gut, aber nicht 80 Euro-gut. Größer Kritikpunkt allerdings war der Service: Klar ist es an einem solchen Abend mit lauter Zweiertischen für den Service besonders stressig. Allerdings haben im ganzen Restaurant nur zwei Kellner und eine Kellnerin bedient. Die beiden Kellner waren zumindest sehr nett, die Kellnerin jedoch sehr unfreundlich (z.B. auf meine freundliche Nachfrage hin, ob es heute nur das Menü gäbe: "Nur Menü", dreht sich um und verschwindet). Unaufmerksam waren alle drei leider gleichermaßen: Es wurde nicht ein Mal nachgefragt, ob alles passt, nicht einmal am Ende beim Bezahlen. Die Weinflasche mussten wir uns irgendwann selbst an den Tisch holen, weil niemand Anstalten gemacht hat, uns nachzuschenken. Wir haben uns abgefertigt gefühlt. Schade, hier passt unseres Erachtens das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider nicht (mehr). Bei den Preisen muss der Service wesentlich aufmerksamer sein.

Qualität der Speisen hat leider sehr nachgelassen und steht in keinem Verhältnis mehr zum Preis. Interior/ Atmosphäre nach wie vor sehr nett und Service freundlich.

Eines der BESTEN ITALIENER in München. Egal ob die Parmigiana oder Branzino al Sale - frisch & köstlich wird es serviert. Die Auswahl der Weinkarte lässt jedes Wein-Liebhaber-Herz höher schlagen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und kompetent. Rosario ist ein wundervoller Gastgeber, der es versteht, seine Gäste glücklich zu machen.

Ein sehr schönes und gemütliches Restaurant das Essen war ausgezeichnet lecker und der Wein super. An Qualität mangelt es hier sicher nicht! Auf jeden Fall ein besuch wert.

The evening just went on smoothly, ambience was magical!

Wir kommen aus Köln und Düsseldorf und haben das Mezza Via durch Zufall im September 2022 (zu den Wiesn) gefunden und haben dort einen super lustigen und netten Abend verbracht. Ok, mehr getrunken als gegessen, aber mit viel italienischen Temperamento und Witz, und (ja, wir mochten es) italienischen und deutschen Schlagern mitgesungen und neben der Layla und Cordola Grün ein anderes München zu den Wiesn Zeiten kennengelernt. Vielen dank dafür. -- Wir waren zu Sylvester in München und ganz spontan am 30.12. in das Mezza Via (vorher telefonisch reserviert). Weder laues Essen noch Service aus den unteren Bewertungen kann ich bestätigen. Im Gegenteil, wir hatten super leckere Doraden gegessen und einen tollen Wein getrunken. Der Service war niemals aufdringluch, immer zuvorkommend und es hat "einfach" wieder Spaß gemacht. Wir werden natürlich bei unseren nächsten München Besuch versuchen das Mezza Via wieder zu besuchen. Danke für die beiden schönen Abende.

Ambiente ist schön, Essen war gut, aber der Service war nicht optimal. Gläser waren leer, aber niemand fragte nach. Das darf in so einem Restaurant nicht passieren.

If you are in Munich, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!! Forgot to take a picture of the calamari but it was PERFECTO 🤌🏼 the owner was so sweet and hospitable, the food was mezzavia and filling, and the wine was AMAZING! The vibe was spot on, you will not regret it! If I could give 10 stars, I would!! Grazie

Nette Bedienung, Essen war erwartbar gut, kann man gerne wiederkommen

Mag diesen Italiener echt gerne. Gemütliches, italienisch angehauchtes Ambiente, freundliches Personal und gutes Essen. Gamberoni mit Gemüse waren lecker. Nächstes mal möchte die Trüffelpasta aus dem Parmesan Laib probieren. Gerne wieder Update: waren am Freitag dort und leider etwas enttäuscht vom Service. Wir haben über 1h auf die Vorspeise gewartet und richtig freundlich war keiner der 3 Kellner.

Eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in München, Rosario ist ein toller Gastgeber und sein Team zaubert leckeres Essen und eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre…

Vor der Pandemie waren wir oft da und zufrieden. Jetzt als wir das Lokal wieder aufsuchten mussten wir leider feststellen , dass das Essen nicht mehr annähernd so gut is wie früher. Wir hoffen das es eine Ausnahme war

Das Restaurant haben wir aufgrund der guten Bewertungen aufgesucht. Leider sehr enttäuscht! Gerichte völlig überteuert für eine mini Portion, noch dazu lauwarm! Dazu noch das Service, als wir fertig gegessen haben und ich meine Gabel gerade ablegen wollte, wurde dass essen sofort abserviert, daraufhin gleich gefragt ob wir dennoch was bestellen möchten und nicht nur einmal. Hatten das Gefühl das die uns gleich raus haben wollten. Für uns definitiv das schlechteste Restaurant in München. Wie die teilweise guten Bewertungen zustande gekommen sind ist für mich ein Rätsel.

Ich liebe es hier und komme gerne wieder. Tolles Essen, super Service und schönes Ambiente! Vor allem die Trüffel-Nudeln aus dem Parmesanlaib kann ich nur empfehlen (kleiner Tipp, würdet ihr die Nudeln aus dem Parmesanlaib auch noch am Tisch servieren, hätte ich gar nichts mehr auszusetzen).

Wir haben das Restaurant aufgrund der relativ guten Bewertungen aufgesucht. Wir wurden leider enttäuscht. Die Spagetti waren nur lau warm und geschmacklich auch nichts besonderes. Die Bedienung war total im Stress und könnte freundlicher auftreten. Das Ambiente direkt an der befahrenen Straße ist auch nicht das Beste. Wie die teilweise guten Bewertungen zustande gekommen sind, ist mir ein Rätsel.

Wir waren schon ein paar mal in größeren Gruppen hier und es war jedes Mal ein Fest. Die Kellner sind gut drauf und die Trüffel Pasta ist ein Traum. Freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!

Wir waren hier um einen schönen Abend zu verbringen aber aus verschiedenen Gründen wurde nichts daraus. Um mit dem positiven anzufangen: Das Essen war ok und die Räume gemütlich und schön eingerichtet. Jedoch war einer der Kellner durchgehend unfreundlich und immer wieder beleidigt. Ausserdem trug er keine Maske. Was jedoch gar nicht ging war die Musik. Brüllend lauter Italopop den ganzen Abend hindurch, so dass man sein eigenes Wort nicht verstanden hat. Auf meine Anmerkung dass die Musik sehr laut sei, meinte der Kellner dass sei jeden Abend so, „unser italienisches Konzert“.

Wir hatten ein festliches Essen für 25 Freunde organisiert und die Gäste waren alle begeistert von der exzellenten Küche, der angenehmen Atmosphäre und dem zuvorkommenden, aufmerksamen Service. Rosario hat unsere Vorstellungen und Wünsche elegant in das Menü eingebaut und der Koch hat es wunderbar umgesetzt. Jeder Gang hatte seinen eigenen Charakter und war auf den Punkt zubereitet. Am Ende waren die Teller (und Gläser) leer und die Freunde hochzufrieden. Was will man als Gastgeber mehr ?

Wir haben uns im Restaurant gleich wohlgefühlt. Atmosphäre und der freundliche, kompetente Service vermitteln das Gefühl als wäre man schon öfter hiergewesen. Tolles italienisches Essen. Strozzapreti mit Trüffel - einfach zum Niederknien.

In this restaurant we have celebrated the women‘s day and it was an amazing experience. The food was delicious, the prices were Ok, the staff was very friendly. I would suggest to book the table in advance.

sorry to say I love to experience new places so i did today this one was the most horrible place i did visit for the last month..My wine shorle awful i better should of ordered a bottled of water better taste. My mom and I ordered a anti pasty quality okay but way overpriced.So we decided to pay of course we still could eat something. We decided to go to Käfer Prinzregentenstrasse I can tell food amazing and the prises better then Mezza Via. One thing I have to say about Mezza Via is the services people where very nice but thats about it

If I lived in Munich, I might be annoyed that tourists were putting my local favorite on the map and making it hard for me to get a table. But as a tourist, I think my fellow travelers should have the opportunity to experience Mezza Via. The food is great, the servers are really welcoming, and it is clear that people from the neighborhood are stopping in to eat regularly. Try it if you want a break from the schnitzel and schweinerhaxe. They speak German, Italian and British English so can cater to you in a variety of languages.

We were a large group for a birthday celebration and everything was impeccable. Attentive servers - friendly and patient with our large group. Lovely variety on the menu, but not so much that it gets confusing. Excellent selection of drinks as well. The food was outstanding! No bite of food was left on anyone's plate! The dessert of a chocolate toertchen was mouthwatering! YUM!! Special mention to the manager, Laura. She was on top of it and knows how to run a good restaurant. We will be back! Grazie :)

Visited the place with a group of friends. Nicely done interiors. Food is between bad and mediocre. Prices too high for quality. Waiters are not attentive and on the verge of being rude. However, all this is topped by the owner/manager. Never experinced anything as rude, incompetent and deceptive!! Very bad experience!

Lehel is a lovely neighbour and this restaurant is a little treasure hidden. The food was amazing, prices are in order. They have a huge parmesan and they put it on your pasta from there. WONDERFUL! the service was extremely nice and kind. A top location. Very nice decorated and with DJ.

Met a couple of friends for dinner. Must say the decor and atmosphere here is really nice and gave a very good first impression. This helped with spending about 4 hours here, just chatting over various decent pasta dishes (enjoyed my mushroom and fennel pasta) and then a cheese board and panna cotta for dessert. Couple of glasses of decent red and a post dinner whisky rounded off a good evening, Place was reasonably busy during the peak time but we were not made to rush at all. Decent service. I would return

Found Mezza Via by chance. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, a typical enoteca. Menu and wine list is not extensive but very well chosen. I had a very tasty millefoglie di melanzane and risotto con capesante. Small place in a residential area. I liked it. would be better if they would rather not charge but offer the grappa after such a large meal.
