A very good dish, hearty and full of flavor. The meat could have been a little hotter. There wasn't much atmosphere as there was no music. But the service was perfect and the owners were very friendly.

My favorite dish is the chicken liver. Wonderfully tender and absolutely delicious. The owners are also very friendly and always happy to chat with them. I'll definitely be back.

I had a doctor's appointment nearby. I saw this place on Google Maps and it looked interesting, so I left early and stopped in. One small drawback: choosing what to order was difficult. I looked up pictures on Google and showed them what I wanted. They showed me, and we agreed. When the food was ready, they showed and explained everything to me, and I sat down to eat. And...? Wow, it tasted amazing and was so fresh. Fantastic! It was totally worth it. Highly recommended. 😊 Don't forget to smile! You guys are great. 😊 🥰

Delicious food!! All the sauces and even the meat skewers are made in-house, and you can taste the difference. Highly recommended if you want to immerse yourself in the world of Egyptian cuisine. The owners are also very friendly! All in all, Meya Meya!! 👌🏼

Go there! It's one of the best places in Berlin. Anyone who lives here knows that Berlin might have a lot of restaurants, but most of them aren't really that good. Meya Meya truly stands out because of its delicious food. It's not just incredibly well-seasoned and has a great overall flavor profile, but above all, it's always (!) good. I've never eaten anything there that tasted (less) good. The owners are also super friendly! Go there if you haven't been yet.

Delicious, indeed authentic, very clean place, friendly, welcoming and accommodating hosts. Taste felt homemade and authentic, but elevated and appropriate for restaurant. The portion size of Kusheri was great. The original Kusheri tasted wonderful, and the new Kusheri dish with the twist with shawarma on top was also just great.

Kochari was authentic but could have used a bit more garlic and cumin. But the ta'meya was fantastic. Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside. Perfect.

The restaurant is simply beautiful! Very clean and cozy. The owners are incredibly friendly and always in a good mood. They offer excellent Egyptian food – especially the koshari and hawshi, which are absolutely delicious, just like in Egypt! These are two of the most famous Egyptian dishes, and here they taste absolutely perfect. We tried both – fantastic! It certainly won't be the last time we eat here. We'll definitely be back!

From an Egyptian living in Berlin, and after trying many Koshari plates all around Berlin, Meya Meya wins the best authentic Koshari taste... the owenrs of the place are very cheerful and welcoming and they run the place themselves, keeping the service at its best.

Everything was delicious! The place is run by a delightful and very helpful Egyptian family. All the dishes are homemade, and the hummus is truly excellent. The place isn't big, but there's plenty of room and you can make reservations. A must-try if you're in the area.

It was one of the very good schwarmas that I ate in the area. Its a small, authentic and honest restaurant, focusing on Egyptian dishes. Prices are fair, maybe the Vorspeisen could be a bit cheaper. Looking forward to trying other dishes. Only minus point could be that you need to pay cash. Luckily there is an ATM right next to the restaurant.

The koshari is great, and so is the harisa. The service is not amazing, but they are nice and kind. The ambience was lacking.

Expensive, small portions! Whilst the food was good and the person behind the counter pleasant, the overall experience was a disappointment. I took their "Meya Meya" plate to go. The portion was really small and costed 11,50 euros. It's expensive for salad, a spoon of beans and humus and a little halloumi. And just one piece of flatbread. The foul (beans) was delicious but the humus quite watery and lumpy. The place itself isn’t nice and is quite cold so I ordered a take away. I would consider going back from time to time if their prices were more reasonable.

The two of them are really friendly and the food was great. It was my first time eating Egyptian food, but I'll definitely do it more often now :)

Casual dining spot with Egyptian cuisine. This is my first time trying Eyptian cuisine so I can't really say if it is authentic but overall it was delicious. The chef seemed to be an Egyptian! Really large portion size.

Went here with high expectations due to the good ratings but was unfortunately disappointed. The koshsary was very underwhelming with overcooked pasta and watery tomato sauce. We liked the Egyptian falafel called ta'ameya a lot but everything else was very average, including the salad and hummus. They also ran out of tabouleh and explained that we can't order a portion seperately and the one which came with our plate was put on top of lettuce leaves to make it appear like more. They also ran out of ketchup for our fries, so we got a small squeeze only on the side. And our food was not hot once we got it. The service was friendly but slow and only cash payment is possible. We sat outside at cozy looking tables but realized upon inspecting the cloths that they are very dirty with crusty food on it - probably not cleaned in a while. Overall underwhelming experience and I think any of the neighboring restaurants would have been a better option.

Such unusually delicious food (shawarma with hummus and very fresh vegetables, two good sauces). My friend had the liver, which was just as good. I'm hungry again right away. :-) Very friendly service. Go there!

We were looking for a vegan restaurant near our hotel and were pleasantly surprised to find a place serving Egyptian specialties that also offers many vegan options. We arrived around 8 p.m. and immediately found a table outside. The restaurant is self-service. We opted for the Koshary plate, the Meya Meya special platter (vegetarian), and the Tamya plate. The quality of the food was very good. The fried fava bean balls were a particular highlight: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and well-seasoned. The roasted vegetables and hummus from the special platter were also very tasty, and the salad was fresh and crunchy. The cooked fava beans in sauce were also decent. I personally found the Koshary a bit unspectacular. The combination of macaroni, rice, chickpeas, brown lentils, and vermicelli was interesting, but the tomato sauce seemed a bit bland to me. Nevertheless, the dish was very well prepared and perfectly cooked. Overall, a visit is worthwhile just for the falafel (fava bean balls), the hummus, and the fries. I can't comment on the meat dishes. My review refers exclusively to the vegan dishes we ordered. The service was very friendly and welcoming, and the wait for the food was pleasantly short.

This was very delicious and will recommend you to try this out without hesitation. Add it to your must go list! If you use lieferando app, the price will be reduced. They give you a ticket in the restaurants that you can use to get the discount.

Truly wonderful shop, the food tastes great and is really filling. Koshary with schwarama, for example, is really delicious, and they serve it with yufka bread, so to speak, really good. The prices are also great, €13.50 for the aforementioned.

We're from the Rhineland and were on vacation in Berlin. We happened to have dinner here, and besides the fact that the owners were incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was also absolutely delicious. We had a vegetarian platter and can highly recommend it.
