Pizza is just okay, but it seems to be a popular place in the outskirts of the village. Hard to find, but we were anxious to find something to eat off the Autobahn

Nach dem Führungswechsel vor einigen Jahren, kann ich das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Qualitativ hochwertiges Essen zu fairen Preisen. Unbedingt reservieren und etwas Zeit mitbringen. Burger sind sensationell, die wechselnde Angebot Karte lässt keine Wünsche offen. Von deftig über leicht, vegetarisch und orientalisch- mediteran, einfach alles dabei. Danke für den tollen Abend Ps.: Die selbstgemachte Limonade muss man unbedingt probieren.

My regular place for good food in the evening to end the week. No problem for receiving dates either. The one tall lady who is always friendly is an asset, as is the waiter with the tattoos. Great service. I enjoy coming and always look forward to coming again.

Food was very tasty. Rump steak with chanterelles and cream sauce. The sauce was a little different than what we typically know, very good and delicately seasoned. With diced tomatoes and onions. I thought the food was really great. The service was also good, but the music had a shisha bar feel to it for a while. That wasn't quite my case.

Delicious elderberry lemonade. Grilled sheep's cheese was okay. Rolling pizza is a highlight. Everything is a little higher priced but pleasant atmosphere and service

Update: The prices of food and drink have now risen by 40-50% (if you consider that drinks are significantly smaller than before, probably more like 60%) within the last 6 months. We always enjoyed coming here, but now probably less and less

Our portions were very generous. The service was excellent, I would recommend it to everyone. The atmosphere is very cozy and modern.

After waiting for over an hour, we left. A restaurant that is located right next to the cinema must ensure that there are guests who want to be in the cinema at a certain time. So I can't judge the food. Even though the employees were very nice and apologized profusely, waiting more than an hour for two simple dishes is not acceptable. In addition, it was hardly possible to have a conversation because the restaurant was full to capacity. Then it's better to have a few fewer tables and plants that absorb sound instead of having to shout at each other.

February 2018: Always delicious! Addendum from March 26, 2024: Unfortunately, the Metropolis has changed its concept and no longer shows any consideration for moviegoers. On our last visit we were finally allowed to place an order after 15 minutes and then had to cancel it after an hour and the statement "there are still two to three tables in front of you". Unfortunately you're hungry and you're going to the cinema. Unfortunately, the prices have also increased extremely. Unfortunately, the pricing no longer quite fits the ambience. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, we didn't get anything, the service was understaffed but friendly. It's a shame, you were once very good and unrivaled. That's enough for me to give it a well-intentioned 2 stars (yesterday it was -1).

Unfortunately I was disappointed today with the whole Caesar salad that tastes nothing but water... A complaint was made but that didn't make the salad any better, it was then canceled for €19.50, which is awesome for a green salad with some turkey anyway :🤐

The Metropolis restaurant in Bensheim exceeds all expectations. With a charming atmosphere, excellent service and cuisine that is full of taste and sophistication, every visit is a culinary highlight. I can highly recommend it!

The Metropolis really impressed me from the start. As soon as I entered I was greeted by a friendly employee. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The furnishings were chic, modern, but harmonious and comfortable. And as far as the food is concerned, I can't say anything negative. We chose Argentinian rum steak, salmon fillet, cheeseburger - just fantastic. The spices and flavors matched each other perfectly and it was clear that the dishes were freshly prepared. The meat was tender and juicy. The price-performance ratio is simply great. Finally, I can only say: If you want quality and are in the mood for excellent food in Bensheim, you should definitely go to Metropolis. It certainly won't disappoint! Many thanks to the boss for her warm manner and her joy we'll be back♥️

A chic place to eat, it's best to reserve a place in advance :)

On the first page of the menu you are greeted by the saying "Our aim is to completely satisfy you as a guest [...]". Similar to the coalition agreements in German politics, not much attention is paid to the written word. When we arrived at 6:49 p.m. we were seated and I asked EXPLICITLY whether we could order drinks for the "happy hour" that lasted until 7 p.m. This was clearly answered in the affirmative and we were handed a card straight away when we sat down at 6.50pm. At 6:55 p.m. we asked if we could order drinks (knowing that happy hour was about to end), but we were told we would have to be patient for a moment. At 7:01 p.m. (!!!!!) the waitress came and took our order. I checked again because according to the world clock it was already one minute after 7 p.m. The answer froze our group!! Because of the 1 minute delay we were denied the discount on the cocktails! I blame the waitress for not taking our order before 7 p.m. despite clearly asking. However, both they and the person who charged us apologized and referred us to the booking system. The scandal here is CLEARLY the CAPITALIST operator who does not tolerate any discounts in the booking system!!!!! Profit maximization is the enemy of humanity. We also found it annoying to be asked 13 times whether everything was OK with us. Personnel development measures for team communication are ideal for this. This could increase customer satisfaction

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war echt top. Burger und Enchiladas …, waren wirklich der Hammer. Die Cocktails kann man sehr sehr empfehlen.

Leute am 02.01.2024 gegen 19 Uhr im Metropolis essen. Ich bin wahrhaftig nicht empfindlich, aber an diesem Abend hat sich meine Einstellung zu diesem Laden komplett geändert. Wir waren zu dritt und haben 1,5 Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet. Wie hatten, Penne arrabiata ( arrabiata heißt scharf) es war nicht einmal ein Staubkorn von Chili vorhanden und kalt war es auch noch. Der Salat mit putenstreifen ist im Wasser geschwommen ( Eisbergsalat pur. Geht gar nicht) putenstreifen waren hart. Das putensteak war die Krönung. Es stank, war trocken und in Gemüse, waren kleine Putenbrocken die steinhart waren. Mein großes Glas Wasser, stand eineinhalb Stunden leer. Keiner fragte bis wir gingen ob ich noch was trinken möchte. Die haben nicht einmal einen Zacken von einem Stern verdient… Wir haben alles beanstandet, kaum etwas davon gegessen und trotzdem haben wir den vollen Preis bei der Servicekraft bezahlt. Obwohl uns die Chefin persönlich bediente, schickte sie nach dem wir uns beschwerten, ihre servicekraft um zu kassieren. Wirklich erbärmlich.

Ein schön eingerichtetes Restaurant mit sehr aufmerksamen Servicekräften. Die Karte hat eine riesengroße Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen, also ist für jeden etwas dabei. Die einzelnen Gerichte sind lecker, aber geschmacklich nicht überragend. Außer die hausgemachten Churros, die waren phänomenal!

Sehr leckeres und gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung, schönes Ambiente und eine gute Atmosphäre. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. 😉👍👍👌

Erster Eindruck sehr gut . Habe ein Rumpsteak (Medium) Bestellt mit Süßkartoffelnpommes und Pfeffer Rahmsoße Bekommen habe ich Ein Rumpsteak DURCH , Süßkartoffelnpommes versalzen und die falsche soße. Deshalb 3/5 Sternen Beim essen. Service scheint überfordert zu sein und meldet sich nicht bei Kunden . Echt schade waren hier als Weihnachtsfeier und sind alle enttäuscht.

Gesalzene Preise aber das Essen und der Service ist es wirklich wert. Jedoch mit 19%MWST ab Januar eher zu kostspielig. Leider :(

Moderne Atmosphäre und immer 2 Plätzchen frei. Auswahl von Süppchen, Burger oder Salate. Was Süßes und natürlich zu trinken. Gemütliche Sessel-Ecken gibt's auch

Die Einrichtung sieht nur von außen einladend aus. Innen wirkt es billig. Das Restaurant ist ingesamt zu dunkel. Wenn ich so was wollte würde ich zu Dinner in the Dark gehen. Das Essen ist knapp unter Standard. Beim Bacon-Cheeseburger war der Käse teils verbrannt. Die Wedges waren geschmacklos und nicht knusprig. Die Pizza ist gut. Der italienische Salat könnte mehr Dressing vertragen. Die Preise sind auf die Lage am Filmpalast angepasst. Insofern noch vertretbar. An einer anderen Location wäre es deutlich zu teuer. Da wir gerade in der Nähe waren, ok. Würden jedoch nicht nochmal kommen.

Immer toll im Metropolis, nur leider schon sehr teuer geworden.

Sehr gute Lokalität zum Essen und Cocktailsschlürfen. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und die Speisen sind lecker. Egal ob Pizza, Burger, Pasta oder Salat.... Alles gibt es hier. Vorspeisen wie Fingerfood oder Suppen und leckere Desserts.... Preisleistungsverhältnis ist ok.

Schön angerichtet, aber Fleisch war trocken und verbrannt. Gläser werden nicht bis zur Eichmarke gefüllt. Sowohl die Sitzbank als auch der Stuhl waren durchgesessen, sehr laut und vollgestellt die Lokalität. Keine Speisekarten sondern nur qr-codes auf die tische geklebt. Freundliche Bedienung aber nur die Chefin darf kassieren.

Wir hatten Tomatensuppe als Vorspeise Burger und Pizza als Hauptgang Schokoladentörtchen als Dessert. Der Merlot schmeckte super. Wir waren total begeistert. Freundliches Personal. Der gesamte Service war einwandfrei und schnell. Tolle Location. Immer wieder gerne. Nur zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten per Telefon für 17.00 Uhr reserviert, da wir um 18.30 Uhr seit langem mal wieder ins Kino wollten ... entsprechend habe ich mich darauf gefreut. Die Tickets mit Liegesitz und Lounge für ein entspanntes Danach waren gebucht, was konnte jetzt noch einem schönen Abend entgegenstehen...? Es konnte.....so einiges.... Um 17 Uhr Ankunft... die Reservierung von vor einer Stunde... nicht eingetragen... das erfahren wir, als wir die einzige Mitarbeiterin quasi eingefangen hatten... damit wir überhaupt mal irgendwo Platz nehmen konnten, denn das herumstehen ohne Ansprache war schon sehr unangenehm. Tische waren für Gruppen reserviert, also mussten wir froh sein, irgendwo platziert zu werden. Danach verbrachten wir die nächsten 25 Minuten (!) damit der Mitarbeiterin beim Rennen zuzusehen und uns zu fragen, ob die Zeit jetzt noch für überhaupt noch irgendwas reichen wird. Nach etwa 40 Minuten stand dann das Wasser auf dem Tisch, für das wir uns entschieden hatten, damit sie es überhaupt irgendwie hinkriegen kann... ich hätte lieber eine der Limonaden probiert... aber da dachte ich schon, dass ich gewiss hungrig würde wieder gehen müssen und habe da bleiben lassen.Da sie den Überblick nun langsam verlor, war es auch nicht verwunderlich, dass wir auch bei der Bestellung hintenanstanden... sie wusste einfach nicht mehr, wer wann gekommen war. 17.45 tauchte eine weitere Mitarbeiterin auf, na Gott sei dank! Da waren wir schon so ärgerlich, dass wir gehen wollten...da kam sie dann doch um die Bestellung gür das Essen aufzunehmen , da war es 10. vor sechs. wir hatten es schon auswendig gelernt um Zeit zu sparen...das Essen kam, das war suoer, zumindest 5 nach sechs... inzwischen waren da 6 Mitarbeiter... schön, nur zu spät für uns... Wir haben das Essen vorsichtshalber sofort bezahlt, heruntergeschlungen und sind losgerannt... Was soll ich sagen, vielen Dank an das Management dieses Unternehmens für eine so grässliche Personalplanung, die an einem Samstag Abend sicher hätte anders sein können und sollen( ... der zweite Mitarbeiter, der unsere Reservierung vergessen hatte, war ja in der Pause... der Rest hatte wohl um sech Dienstbeginn...) Muss ich noch erwähnen, das unser Abend echt im Eimer war... aus der Stimmung fanden wir dann nicht mehr raus....vielen Dank dafür... und eine frustrierte Bitte: eure Website ist schön, macht es doch einfach so,, wie ihr es euren Gästen versprochen habt.... entspannen ermöglichen... oder sie essen vielleicht lieber zu Hause....oder ganz woanders....
