Metaxa-Grill in Velbert

One of the most rude restaurants. Both on the phone and in person, they were rude, insulting, and shouty. Simply unprofessional and disrespectful.

The fries were still crispy after delivery, too heavy on bell peppers for my taste. The gyro was just about okay, a bit dry, and the tzatziki was okay. I asked for a good amount of onion, and I got it.

I've rated many Greek snack bars, often deservedly with 5 stars – but Metaxa Grill deserves at least 6 stars! The taste is unrivaled, the best across the entire range. Delicious and good, simply amazing. And I haven't even mentioned the fantastic, flexible service and the warm customer service. Top-notch. Period.

Unfortunately, I have to revise this: Best gyro in Velbert Mitte! The meat is fat-free and superbly seasoned. After ordering, it usually only takes 15-20 minutes to pick up your food. Deliveries are always super fast, too! BUT... extremely unfriendly... both on the phone and in person. Don't mention any special requests... :D

Unfortunately, after a change of ownership, it's no longer what it used to be. The tzatziki tastes completely bland, the fries aren't crispy. Add to that the high price for what you get.

Eating bombs, top value for money

The restaurant is really wonderful, original Greek food and a Greek gyros like I'm used to 🫡😊 I would go there again and again and they'll take care of you 😊😊😊😊 And the food is fresh and tastes very tasty 🫡

We were surprised that the grill, which initially looked inconspicuous, had a good selection of different dishes and at reasonable prices. The food itself was good in quantity and tasty. At the end there was ouzo as a sign of hospitality.

We ate on site. The people are nice. However, the food is worse compared to about half a year ago. Of course it could have been the wrong day, but the meat was spicier back then, the Metaxa sauce was creamy and really tasty. That day it tasted more like a sauce made from a ready-made mix. I'll try it again soon because we were really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and this time it wasn't right.

Gyros plate is good, meat was just a bit dry but you can't say anything about the price performance, you can do it again!

I had schnitzel, which tasted far away from schnitzel meat. I'm guessing molded meat, the sauce was warmed up as a portion in the microwave and the fries were okay, although quite straightforward I won't go to the snack bar again.

Was average, there are better Greeks in Velbert. Unfortunately I was on vacation.

Everything you need on the menu tastes delicious and we were satisfied. We picked it up and even though it was super busy (lots of orders) we didn't wait long. Gladly again!

It is really the best snack shop in all of Velbert. Everything tastes fresh. The service is always very nice and delivery is also very quick. I recommend this store to everyone because it is not expensive and tastes better than any other store.

Gyros dishes (except pita) could be a lot more... the meat you put in the pita is missing from the gyros dishes. Metaxa sauce (usually 1 tablespoon) is unfortunately too expensive.

In Velbert und Umgebung der beste Gyros. Die Metaxa Soße ist hervorragend und das Personal ist wirklich zuvorkommend und überaus Nett.
