Really bad value for money... my steak had tendons in it and was tough and still flaky despite ordering it medium... I specifically ordered "the best" beef :/ and then this happened. The meat for a restaurant that doesn't offer anything else is truly terrible and I really can't recommend it... I would have had a better one at the kebab shop next door 🤪

We came to Basele to explore and tried a variety of flavors. Before arriving, I searched online and came across Mendoza, just on the Basel border, and read the reviews. I arrived the day before, but since they open at 6 p.m., I came back the day after. We had chorizo, asada, fritas, and mashed potatoes. It was delicious, including the beer. The lady working there was very polite and kind. The hospitality, the food, and the place were all very pleasant and clean. The meat was delicious. Thank you for everything.

I like to visit this restaurant when I'm craving good meat. The prawns are particularly recommended as a starter; they're very tasty, but a bit spicy. The meat tastes excellent, the staff is always friendly and personable, and I also find the ambiance very pleasant. My only minor criticism: the wait for the starters is quite long at around 25 minutes. Otherwise, I absolutely recommend it!

Thos is the best steakhouse in the 3 country area. The Australian ribeye is excellent. The staff is very nice and all of the food is high quality and very good. I have tried almost everything on the menu.

It was definitely NOT WORTH €130!! To be honest, we didn't have high expectations and were still disappointed by the poor service, which brought one salad straight away and the second salad with the main course. So my boyfriend didn't have an appetizer, but everything came at once, without asking, except for my salad, and then the wrong one at that... I'm not someone who looks for bad things, but when you order sauces, they bring us three bowls of almost frozen store-bought herb butter, an ice-cold, tasteless salsa, and garlic sauce that didn't contain a single piece of fresh garlic. The vegetables that accompanied the meat weren't salted during grilling, and the worst part was the much too small portion of the "special dish for two people," which meant that half of the meat consisted of tendons and fat (normal for meat, but a disgrace for that portion...) The only good thing was the ambiance and the overall atmosphere, as well as the decor. It was definitely NOT WORTH €130!!

One star deducted from the main rating due to the price-performance ratio. Excellent quality, but still a bit too expensive, especially compared to other steakhouses of the same quality. However, the proximity to Switzerland, where these prices are quite common, probably also plays a role. One star deducted from the subcategories for the service, which was consistently very friendly and was able to answer questions about the food. Initially, everything was very quick, but this slowed down somewhat as the number of guests increased. A drink order was also completely lost and only brought after another order was placed – that can happen, we're all only human, but that's not the 5 stars it would otherwise have given for the service, but only 4. All in all, definitely worth a visit, especially if you want really good steaks and don't have to worry about the price – an absolute recommendation.

Top. Everything is just right here. Value for money is excellent. The specialization in meat is very successful: you can tell that the people here have the meat preparation under control. Side dishes are also very good: very crispy French fries. The service is friendly and accommodating: it feels a bit like a holiday resort. This place is just as suitable for a family evening as it is for rounding off the evening with meat with friends. In terms of transport, it is also very well located: you can easily get here with the dream number eight. Last but not least: parking space right behind the house.

We eat at Mendoza often and have been satisfied every time. Everyone in our group was very satisfied with the menus we ordered. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the prices are not exorbitant either. The meat can usually be ordered in different sized portions.

Wir hatten für den Abend einen Tisch reserviert. Die Bienung hat einen Tisch zugewiesen, mit leider wenig freundlicher Miene. Die Karte jam zügig. Verschiedene Servicekräfte fragten fast im Sekundentakt nach unseren Wünschen. Man wurde fast unter Druck gesetzt, schnell zu bestellen. Der weitere Service war dann etwas entspannter. Die bestellten Steaks waren ein Traum. Auf den Punkt und super lecker gewürzt. Wir haben noch nie so leckere Steaks gegessen und nehmen dafür einen etwas schlechteren Service gerne nochmal in Kauf.

Haben ein Review auf Google Maps hinterlassen - Steaks eigentlich sehr zart aber trotzdem lapprig und fad/geschmackslos. Preise sind recht hoch für Deutschland (50€ p.p. locker). Der Fakt, dass dieses Restaurant Reviews als „Verleumdung“ betitelt und diese bei Google Maps zur Löschung beantragt sagt eigentlich alles. Absolutes No-Go und das macht eure miesen überteuerten Steaks auch nicht besser! Wir werden NICHT nochmal kommen.

Their meat is very delicious. I definitely recommend it. The lady who took care of us was very friendly and kind. It was very relevant. I'm sure it will be even nicer to eat on that big terrace in the summer.

This was my second time at the Mendoza Steakhouse in Weil am Rhein, this time as part of a team event with my company. My opinion is clear: it is not a restaurant I would visit again. The food itself is good, but nothing special - there's no "wow" factor that sets Mendoza apart from other steakhouses. The prices, on the other hand, are completely exorbitant, which greatly clouds the overall picture. Another big problem is the availability of parking spaces. Especially if you come with several people and cars, it is almost impossible to find a parking space. This is a real challenge, especially on weekends, and makes going to a restaurant unnecessarily stressful. However, the service should be highlighted positively: The staff was very friendly, courteous and attentive. In addition, the food came surprisingly quickly, which indicates good organization in the kitchen. Conclusion: You can try it once to form your own opinion, but it is definitely not a “must”. There are better alternatives in the region for the price-performance ratio.

Until now we only knew the steakhouse from driving past - today we visited it for the first time and are completely thrilled. The quality of the beef fillet was top notch, cooked to perfection. The French fries and the green salad with house dressing are also highly recommended, and the wine (1/4 l Malbec Cabernet/Sauvignon) also tasted excellent. In terms of price/performance, the Mendoza is clearly above average. The interior was also very clean and the service was professional and very friendly. We'd love to come back!

First of all, a meat restaurant should prioritise the desired point more than what has been carried out since my girlfriend and I ordered medium rare and they gave us the Well done meats, the roasted potato was fine within the fit. I wouldn't come back.

The food was good, I find it unhygienic to serve meat on a wooden board. We were celebrating a birthday and it was ignored. We had to ask to order the drinks, the service is not attentive. It is not well organized and it is clear who is actually serving the table ? No tip and no next visit for dinner.

Pleasant place with subdued atmosphere and tasteful decoration. Pleasant and smiling service. The meat was excellent, the price was right, including the accompaniments, except for the vegetables, which were very good but surprisingly cost 8 Euros.

The quality of the meat is very high. You can tell this right from the first bite! I had the Bife de Lomo with papa asada and sour cream. It was fantastically good. I'll definitely be back!

Nach etwas längerer Zeit mal wieder bei meinem Lieblingssteakhouse „Mendoza“ gewesen. Habe mich dieses Mal an das 500 gr. T-Bonesteak getraut und habe es nicht bereut! Das beste T-Bonesteak was ich bis jetzt gegessen habe!!! Danke auch für den tollen Service. Ich werde es irgendwie einrichten wieder öfters zu kommen.

After a while, I went to my favorite steakhouse “Mendoza” again. This time I dared to try the 500g T-bone steak and I didn't regret it! The best T-bone steak I've eaten so far!!! Thanks also for the great service. I'll somehow arrange to come back more often.

I was there with my colleague. We wanted to eat really good steak again. I ordered an entrecôte and she ordered a T-bone steak. I ordered my entrecôte medium rare, but it was still bloody and the T-bone steak was half cooked and half bloody. She gave it back and then got it back medium. The meat consisted only of tendons and was not edible. We looked for a solution and she got another piece. But it wasn't special either. Still had to pay €42 for the steak and €29 for the entrecôte. I don't go there anymore. I prefer to eat in Switzerland and pay more, but get really good meat. The waitress (a young man) was very polite

Mendoza Stakehouse is truly an outstanding restaurant! From the cozy atmosphere to the attentive service, everything was perfect. I originally ordered my steak medium rare, but when I ate it I found it wasn't quite to my liking. When I asked the friendly staff about it, they immediately offered to fry it all the way through for me. The service was so accommodating and within no time I had a perfectly cooked steak on my plate. It was just right and simply delicious! I have rarely experienced such flexibility and hospitality. I highly recommend Mendoza Steakhouse to everyone - a must for all steak lovers!

überrissene Preise, Fleisch gut, Wein gut, aber ich kenne viele Restaurants in der Schweiz die ein viel besseres Preis-Leistung Verhältnis haben. Das heisst für schweizer Verhältnisse viel zu teuer, für deutsche Verhältnisse total übertrieben. Bedienung dem Preis nicht angemessen. Die miggrigen Beilagen werden zudem noch zu € 4.50 berechnet.

Very Very Disappointed Very small meat and no taste. If you want a side dish you have to pay extra, if you want a sauce it's €5 more. If you want a piece of bread you also have to pay extra for it. Everything is paid extra, unfortunately I have never seen something like this where they only serve you a piece of meat without side dishes without bread for the price you pay. Furthermore, everything is very expensive. I find it a shame because the restaurant itself is nice.

I've eaten there several times, but always a salmon steak. And it really tastes delicious. Because of the proximity to Switzerland and France, many international guests, which I personally really appreciate.

Today I came to eat with my partner, I arrived around 2:00 p.m., I could tell as if the service was in a hurry, they actually closed at 2:30 p.m. (I realized it because later I could see the schedule on the online site) when we finished the second They told us that we couldn't have coffee, that they had to close, and there was no time for dessert either, it was all in a hurry. I understand that they have to close but maybe if they had told me that we had little time to eat and that they didn't serve us coffee or dessert, maybe I would have gone to eat somewhere else where I could do it more calmly and where I could eat my dessert with my coffee, but they didn't say anything. If I had known, I would not have eaten at this place. They should notify, ask the client. Not just trying to get a little more money.

We went for dinner we arrived at the opening we were greeted by someone who didn’t speak a good German so we had problems communicating and we try to speak in other languages like English or Spanish didn’t work then we got the news that the kitchen doesn’t open for the next 30 min which wasn’t a problem then we were left alone no explanation for the drinks or anything we order with the same waiter and still problem with communication and he couldn’t answer easy question, we got the food it was good maybe the meat a bit cold but good and we order the sauce nothing to say really the spicy sauce wasn’t spicy the maitre d hotel was just butter with no spices, the food was good but due to the service I wouldn’t recommend going early

I've known this steakhouse for a long time and used to be quite satisfied, but in the last two years I think the quality has deteriorated significantly. Steaks come lukewarm, the quality of the meat is no longer what it used to be, so I don't recommend it. I ordered the Asado Mix, supposedly 350 g of meat, I think it wasn't even 250 g

Great location for meat lovers. I opted for the 300g fillet steak. The doneness was perfect and the meat was butter tender. The side dishes are really great, especially the baked potato. We'll be back.

If you want to eat just meat (and maybe fries) this is an ok place. Nothing extraordinary. Service is good and friendly, but the meat is average.

La Carne estaba realmente bien. Sin embargo, es un restaurante para timar al consumidor. Más de 30€ por 200gr de Carne, (solo la carne) todos los acompañamientos son cobrados por aparte. Por ejemplo, una pequeña porción de verduras vale 8€. Chimichurri 3€. Las porciones de los acompañamientos son muy pequeñas. Una cena sencilla sale mínimo por 70€ y queda con hambre. No es un restaurante que recomendaría. La relación producto y precio no está acorde.

Were over lunch. Unfortunately, the pieces of meat we ordered were underdone (more rare than medium). They were then cooked again without any problems. However, 2 out of 8 pieces of meat had stringy parts.

We visited Mendoza Steakhouse on a Thursday evening. There weren't many guests, just 2-3 other occupied tables. The food came accordingly quickly. We had shrimp as a starter, which was delicious. For the main course we each had the beef fillet with fries. Unfortunately, my meat arrived a little over medium, but it wasn't too bad. My colleagues had better luck with their steak. I think it's a shame that the sauces have to be ordered and paid for separately. This was our second time coming to Mendoza and we would come again.

As I don’t live in Germany and never been in another Argentinian restaurant there, I have to admit I have no parameters to make a good comparison. I’m Argentinian and liked the food there. Not at all the desserts. Attention was very correct. ✅

Super lecker Steak. Auf den Punkt gebraten. Allerdings könnte für die Preise zumindest eine Beilage bei sein oder das Brot mit den Soßen wenigstens pro Tisch einmal so dazu gehen. Der Service war nicht unfreundlich, aber wirkte etwas distanziert.

Het eten is hier heerlijk, we zijn er al voor de derde keer geweest en we gaan zeker nog eens terug!! In het weekend zeker reserveren want het is er druk!!

Gutes Essen Fleisch war perfekt blutig ist wirklich blutig ...Die Beilage war ebenso schmackhaft (Papa asado) Getränke sind gut und günstig (zum Beispiel LIT Long Island Ice Tea)... Leider sind die Preise recht hoch auch, dass man Beilage und eine Sauce zusätzlich muss bezahlen ist schade Und der Service war irgendwie nicht persönlich und fast unfreundlich... Das Ambiente ist soweit ok aber irgendwie zu viele Leute oder die Tische nicht optimal verteilt....

Haben sehr gut gegessen in gemütlichem Ambiente!
