MEMO'RYS - Mehrhoog in Hamminkeln

I used to love ordering from Memory's because the food was really delicious. Unfortunately, the quality has been steadily declining lately. The last time I ordered, the pizza dough tasted old and musty—absolutely inedible. It's a shame, but that was probably my last time.

Unfortunately, disappointing – three times in a row! We've ordered from Memo three times now – and have been disappointed every time. This has nothing to do with the former "Fritten Schmiede" (Fritters Forge). Back then, it was a classic, down-to-earth German chip shop – honest, tasty, good! Today, Memo's concept seems completely undecided: Do they want to be a kebab shop 🥙? A pizzeria 🍕? A burger house 🍔? Or a chip shop 🍟? All they're missing is roast duck with curry rice or Asian noodles – then the menu would be completely messed up 🙈. As a Turkish owner, wanting to run a classic chip shop is absolutely fine – but then please do so with a clear focus and good quality! Unfortunately, we currently get a bit of everything – but none of it is really good, not even satisfactory. Examples: • The currywurst with fries tastes like a simple ready-made sauce, the kind you'd find in a wholesale store. • The doner kebab 🥙 was disappointing – it wasn't a doner kebab, just a minced meat spit with no flavor, let alone quality. Unfortunately, this wasn't an exception; the competition in Mehrhoog is no better. • The pizza 🍕? Fresh, yes, but a good, high-priced frozen pizza would probably be barely worse. • The burger 🍔 was freshly topped, but the patty was dry, tasteless, and clearly frozen. • To be honest, we didn't even dare to order schnitzel again... One bright spot: The crusts with cheese sauce – they were surprisingly good. No comparison to "Grill and More" in Hamminkeln, but still the best dish at Memo. Conclusion: They seem to want to offer everything – but fail to do any of them really well. Quality requires focus. Those who do everything often end up doing nothing right. This is demonstrated by positive examples like "Grill and More," "Lami's," or "Sole Mio," which clearly position themselves and thus convince with good, delicious quality! Or, as the saying goes: "Shoemaker, stick to your last." As long as the concept at Memo stays the same, we unfortunately won't be coming back. I can only hope that the owner/operator takes this factual criticism seriously and changes things! Less is often more! Please be either a proper kebab shop, pizzeria, burger joint, or just a good chip shop, but please with top-notch, delicious quality!

The food was "just" okay. The ingredients on the American burger were fresh. The patty was a gray mass of pressed-together, I don't know what it was. Tough and dry. The fries were crispy and tasty. Unfortunately, a portion of fries was forgotten on a children's menu. The kebab was ordered with cocktail and garlic sauce, but unfortunately, it only had cocktail sauce on it. Overall, unfortunately, very average. But everything was clean, and the ingredients seemed fresh.

Just really good people there, just like the owner, a cool guy. Sometimes a better knowledge of German wouldn't be bad, but everything is OK. Generally speaking, the portions are always good, there are always enough sauces and the price is perfect. Plan on about 8 to 15 euros per person. A delivery service would be good. We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, which we happened to visit on January 1st. The husband and wife owners were really friendly and helpful, and helped us a lot in a difficult situation. The döner we ate was also really delicious. Thank you for the warm atmosphere and the delicious food.

Very good food, very nice but very very expensive

The shop owner is very nice, as are the employees. The food is delicious and prepared quickly. The prices are reasonable, and the experience is unique.

This is the best Cabonara and a super nice staff...really recommended.

Unfriendly! Half forgotten! Pizza totally oily! Never again ! Pre-ordering by phone was a disaster!

Unfortunately, my crust was a little tough. My wife's pizza rolls were very good. Tough can happen. Maybe next time they'll be great.

Waren heute das erste Mal da. Das Personal war super freundlich. Die Bestellung vollständig, frisch und lecker.

Bester Laden in Der Umgebung. Essen immer Lecker, Nette Besitzer und Mitarbeiter. Manchmal etwas verpeilt im Thema Bestellungen. Dennoch hats immer am ende geklappt. Immer wieder gerne!

Das Essen war lecker die Beisitzer sind sehr nett haben guten Humor was meiner Meinung nach für ein Lokal viel ausmacht der Service auch top aber die Inneneinrichtung ist Verbesserungs würdig alles im ein sehr zufrieden

Das Essen war sehr lecker und wie mussten auch nicht lange warten, bis das Essen fertig war. Dafür ist aber die Atmosphäre nicht so schön dort, da es direkt neben einer Tankstelle und einer Straße ist.

Location ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber ok. Döner war gut, Schnitzel und Pommes waren ok.

Käsekruestchen einfach Klasse, Lecker und reichlich

Etwas altmodisch, viele Feinheit wie fugen usw nicht weiter gemacht es hing ne kabelbox aus der Wand. Einige feinhalten halt. Der Flyer war nicht aktuell, erwachen gab es dann an der Kasse...das war schon extrems schlecht. Essen war lecker, Pommes zwar zu viel Salz aber ok! Was mich jedoch gestört hat war folgendes, wir haben zwei x großes Pommes bestellt und 1x Fleisch Krokette. Die Fleisch Krokette wurde auf den Pommes Teller serviert und somit hatte der Teller deutlich weniger Pommes als der Teller nur mit Pommes. Wahrscheinlich nicht eine gewollte Abzocke aber schon ärgerlich wenn 1/4 des Tellers leer ist und dort ein Fleisch Stück liegt. Getränke mit 3€ pro Flasche viel zu teuer trotz Inflation. Das x12 Flaschen sind wir bei 36€ ein Kasten kostet vlt 10€ im Angebot oder Großhandel noch etwas billiger. Da wird Schman getrieben.

Hier gibt es vernünftiges, schmackhaftes Fastfood. Eine sehr freundliche Bedienung rundet das Bild ab. Klare Empfehlung für Fastfood

Nette Mitarbeiterin, das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Ambiente ist sauber, minimalistisch und funktional. Ist halt ein Imbiss und kein Restaurant. Den einzigen Punktabzug gebe ich dafür das es erst ab 17.00 Pizza zu kaufen gibt, der Imbiss aber schon weitaus früher geöffnet hat.

Ein toller kleiner Imbiss mit sehr netten Mitarbeitern. Wir haben dort schon ein paar Mal bestellt und es war immer lecker. Die Qualität ist auf Imbissniveau solide und Preis/Leistung ist voll in Ordnung. Gerne jederzeit wieder 😇✌🏻
