Essen und Getränke gewohnt hervorragend, Service hätte ne Spur aufmerksamer sein können, aber gemeckert auf hohem Niveau, super freundlich und bemüht, tut dem sehr guten Gesamteindruck keinen Abbruch. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! 🙂

Vor der Tür steht, dass sie bis 22:30 Uhr geöffnet haben. Wollten zur Abwechslung um 21:45 Uhr kurz was zum Mitnehmen bestellen, aber kein Licht brannte, gar nichts.

Wir essen seit Jahren regelmäßig im Mekong. Das Essen ist köstlich, das kleine Restaurant ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und der Service ist stets super freundlich. Auch für die Veganer und Vegetarier in der Familie gibt es eine große Auswahl an Gerichten. Wir lieben 129a Tofu mit Erdnuss- und Kokossauce. Dazu Kokoswasser, perfekt.

Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Haben uns zu zweit eine Portion Ente geteilt, dann ist es auch vom Preis in Ordnung. Service war schnell und freundlich. Man kann sich auch gut im Restaurant unterhalten, da es ruhig war, obwohl fast alle Tische besetzt waren. Die Sauberkeit der Toiletten ist allerdings verbesserungswürdig. Waschbecken und Klobrille waren ok aber davon abgesehen sind die Toiletten an sich, Boden und alles drum herum schon dreckig gewesen.

Wir waren schon oft hier essen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Das Essen kommt schnell, die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Das Essen hier ist wirklich gut, kein Witz, und der Service ist ausgezeichnet.

Das Restaurant ist gemütlich, die Portionen sind riesig und das Essen ist sehr gut. Ich hatte die Ente in hoysin und sie war perfekt gekocht. Das Essen wurde auch sehr schnell serviert

Die Dame dort ist nicht nett. Der Mann hingegen schon! Das Essen ist ok. Wenn man das restliche Essen einpacken lässt, wird nicht alles eingepackt.

Waren zu dritt zur Mittagszeit an einem Montag dort. Hatten nicht reserviert und sofort einen Tisch bekommen obwohl das Restaurant fast voll war. Zur Mittagszeit gibt es ermäßigte Preise und ein extra Abteil in der Speisekarte. Service war zuvorkommend und höflich. Unsere Bedienung (wahrscheinlich Inhaberin) war in traditioneller vietnamesischer Kleidung. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und war sehr lecker, alles in allem definitiv zu empfehlen!

Das Essen war eigentlich immer gut, aber der Service hat sehr stark nachgelassen. Das war heute das zweite Mal, daß die mich an den "Kacktisch" mitten im Raum setzen wollte, nur weil ich allein da war, obwohl am Tresen der Tisch frei war. So geht's nicht! Ich will nach der Arbeit ein ruhiges Eck und nicht auf dem Presentierteller mitten im Lokal.

Leckeres Essen - Launenhaftes Kartenzahlungssystem ;-) Wir waren jetzt mehrfach im Mekong zum Essen, einmal zu zweit, einmal mit mehreren Leuten. Das Essen ist lecker, frisch zubereitet und hält rund um das was es verspricht, kann ich herzlich empfehlen. ABER - obwohl die Eingangstür mit Hinweisen zu Kartenzahlung zugepflastert ist, gibt es seltsamerweise jedes Mal Probleme mit der Kartenzahlung ;-) Und freundlicherweise sagt das Personal natürlich nicht vorab Bescheid, dass heute mal wieder nur Barzahlung funktioniert, sondern erst hinterher und man muss ggf. 10 Minuten zum nächsten Bankomat marschieren. Ein Schelm wer Böses dabei denkt ;-) Ich würde mich freuen, wenn die Kartenzahlung in Zukunft zuverlässig funktioniert oder mir der Service gleich am Anfang Bescheid sagt, damit ich entweder vorher zur Bank gehen kann oder dann einfach weitergehen kann.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber obwohl angegeben war, dass Kartenzahlung akzeptiert wird, hieß es nach dem Essen, dass nur Barzahlung möglich sei.

Wie immer, super Essen, freundlicher und schneller Service.Der Preis stimmt auch. Es waere schön, wenn der Eingangsbereich mal von Fettresten befreit würde , vor allem die Türschweller ins Lokal und die Tische direkt vor den Toiletten umgestellt würden.Auch kann es nicht sein, dass auf dem Weg zum WC rohe !Hühnerschenkel in Plastiktüten !offen da liegen...( auf Tisch mit Schachteln)

Wir gehen hier sehr oft Essen. Das Essen schmeckt immer wieder sehr gut. Bedienung ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich.

Got a table for 4 spontaneously for dinner, friendly service, delicious food and an extensive menu with plenty of choices, even for those with sensitive skin.

I've eaten at Mekong or picked it up at least 200 times, and until six months ago, everything was perfect, as always. In the last six months, the food, including today's, has been very flavorful, unseasoned, and boring, even though my dish, the 74, says it's spicy. But spicy and unseasoned aren't exactly a good thing. They've also forgotten something twice in the last three pickups, which is very annoying when you're from Möhrendorf. And today I also had the feeling that the waitress had intentionally underpaid for my submitted Rebowls. That's where the fun ends. And the prices have also exploded. 20 euros for the tasteless duck with vegetables that my girlfriend had is just too much for me. I won't be spending any more money there. Absolutely bad advertising.

Overpriced, low-quality food. My food smelled of burnt oil, and when I asked the waitress to change it, she took it to the kitchen and brought it back, saying it was just the way it was and they wouldn't do anything about it. So much for customer service. We wanted to sit in the backyard, but it smelled like a toilet. I can't recommend this restaurant at all.

A lovely little restaurant in the heart of Erlangen. The food was good and the service very friendly. We were satisfied.

We came here on a recommendation, but the food was rather disappointing. The vegetarian dishes we had were tasteless and boring. The duck tasted okay, but it was consistently dry and some pieces were very tough. We probably won't be back.

We tried the place based on the many positive reviews – and we weren't disappointed. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we got a table without any problems, which was very pleasant. The ambiance, however, wasn't entirely convincing for my taste. The interior could have been a bit more modern, but tastes differ. A big plus was the service: The ladies were dressed in beautiful traditional Vietnamese "Ao Dai." We all ordered "Bo La Lot," and the portions were generous. The taste was absolutely convincing – fresh, spicy, and authentic. If you like Vietnamese cuisine, you should definitely try this!

Always friendly, always delicious, and the atmosphere is very cozy. We always enjoy coming to the restaurant and picking up our food. We've never had anything to complain about. Walk-ins are sometimes possible, but reservations are better.

From the outside it looked rather unappealing to me personally, but I was very positively surprised by a very tasty vegetarian dish. The service was super friendly and the food came to our place within a few minutes. On Fridays there was still 20% off all vegetarian dishes. We'll be back 😊

Absolutely! The best meal ever.

Wir waren zu sechst zum Abendessen und hatten einen Tisch für 17 Uhr reserviert. Fast alle von uns bestellten Ente – leider war das Fleisch extrem trocken, und es gab kaum Gemüse dazu. Ein echtes Geschmackserlebnis war das nicht. Zudem hatten wir stilles Wasser bestellt, doch man brachte uns eine andere Sorte. Als wir um den Wechsel baten, wurde dies abgelehnt, mit der Begründung, die Flasche sei bereits geöffnet. Unfassbar! Nach nur 1,5 Stunden wurden wir regelrecht hinausgebeten, da unsere reservierte Zeit abgelaufen war – und das, obwohl das Restaurant nicht einmal voll war. Es geht uns nicht um das Geld, sondern um die Qualität und den Service, die hier absolut enttäuschend waren. So behandelt man keine Gäste! Nie wieder!

Disgusting. Total unsanitary conditions in the kitchen and in the toilet. The fryer oil is terrible, it was used many times, everything that was fried was bitter, we couldn't eat it. The crab chips were also bitter, their expiration date had passed, this is unacceptable. I couldn't swallow them and spat them into a napkin. When I asked to replace the food, the waitress laughed and literally said "everyone eats here, and you can eat too." The meaning was that you, Europeans, are pigs, and anything will do for you. I am a fan of Asian cuisine, but when the food is unsuitable, it is obvious and there is no way to hide it. For the first time in my life, a waitress responded so disrespectfully to my request to look into the quality of the food. I do not wish anyone to eat in this establishment.

As always, we were very happy with the food - I particularly like the spring rolls! I find the boss remarkable - when she takes an order (no matter how many people are at the table) nothing is written down, she remembers everything - so far everything has always been right - really fascinating!

Nice staff, but they need more servers! I received my dish much earlier than my friends, and we had to wait for the drinks to arrive only after reminding them about it after we received our food. The pho bo was good - the portion is not big, not small, plus they had plenty of beef in the pho. Their peanut sauce was ok from the fried duck dish. I do recommend their spring rolls though!

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants that i experienced. Simple atmosphere, warmhearted service. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place.

In the evening it is very dim with the warm light. Everything is very beautiful and pleasantly authentic. The service is attentive and competent. The food is fresh and decorated on the plate with love. Two people were very satisfied with three starters, two meat main courses and a dessert. Two delicious non-alcoholic drinks were included. We'll be back, even with friends.

We've been coming back since it opened because we live in the neighborhood. Kitchen always delicious, service always friendly. The rice tables are highly recommended.

I have visited this restaurant with my classmates many times during our two year study. I only had very good experiences here. I have to say that today was even better. The restaurant is very clean and has a beautiful design. One can see intricately crafted decorations and paintings. The atmosphere is very calming: there is beautiful music and the people are very friendly. There is a possibility to call and reserve a table or just come in. The service was the best that I have experienced so far. The server asked to re-warm my dish because I decided to eat it later and he volunteered to take pictures of our group. I found his behaviour very kind and respectful. The dishes and drinks are always delicious - today was no exception. There are many different dishes with meat and many vegetarian options. The prices are good as well. Overall, a great place and very hard working and respectful staff.

The food is delicious, generous with good flavor and not excessively expensive. They lack customer service a bit. Not accepting card payment, not wanting to share Wi-Fi and details like that. I've been going to this place for 12 years now and I like it. With these things they lose customers.

After getting turned down by other restaurants in the area since I didn't have any reservations, we were most welcomed by this Vietnamese restaurant. Without having any expectations, I have to say, this restaurant exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The restaurant had a really warm atmosphere to it, the waiters were friendly and the menu was extensive, to the point it started to get a bit confusing what to order due to the variety. Everything we ended up ordering was extraordinary. But if you must try one dish, then choose one of their curries with crispy duck. I have never seen this amount of duck in any restaurant in Germany on a single dish. It wasn't just the portion that got me bamboozled, but also how tasty it was. The duck was deep fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. Needless to say, all the dishes come of course with all you can eat rice. We tried crispy fried icecream for dessert. If you are wondering if it was heavy, yes indeed it was, but the combination of cold icecream with hot crispy dough was phenomenal. It was served with whipped cream and strawberry sauce. I was to thank the owners for all their hard work to be able to manage a restaurant this way while offering tasty authentic food.

I found out about it through a Google review. Although we hadn't booked a table in advance, which I can only recommend to everyone as there is a lot going on here, we were warmly welcomed and served quickly. The duck dishes were perfectly prepared and really delicious. We'll come back to it on our next stay in Erlangen

I've been eating at Mekong for many years now and I've never been disappointed, both by the dishes and the staff. Everything is delicious, everyone is friendly, even at rush hour. Everything else has already been mentioned in the other reviews. Deserved 5 stars.

A beautiful, authentic Thai restaurant. The food is excellent, the waitresses (owners!) are super nice and helpful. Eating with two small children was no problem at all. We'd love to come back, thank you! :)

I was eating there yesterday and took the rest of my food home with me. Of what was supposed to be packed there was hardly anything in it, what we didn't want was this decoration carrot and lettuce were in there. There were only 3 of my chicken in there even though I had more than half The portion was left over and there was hardly any rice even though we left so much rice to take away. I had the sauces from the rest of the plates that had already been eaten and one of the sauces had peanuts and I was allergic to them and they still poured them into my take-away portion even though there was nothing left on the plate apart from the sauce. I'll give you another chance. I ordered number 86a yesterday

Very nice and authentic Vietnamese restaurant. We ordered some starters which were pretty nice, and a soup, that was incredible. We couldn’t pay with credit card even though at the entrance it was said credit cards were accepted, so we had to go and find an ATM to get some cash. But if you know that in advance and have money with you, definitely a good place to go.

The service is top! Ambiance is getting old. The food was delicious, but the taste was very European, I would have liked more of a “local” taste.

Ich gehe regelmäßig mit meiner Frau dorthin. Das Restaurant ist immer gut besucht und insbesondere die Ente schmeckt uns sehr gut. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hier unschlagbar. Auch die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente im Restaurant entspricht dem vietnamesischen Charakter. Im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen, auch wenn es dort sehr einfach gehalten ist. Aber wenn die Sonne scheint, sitzen wir trotzdem gerne draußen. Von uns eine klare Empfehlung!

Ein sehr schönes Lokal mit einer üppigen Speisekarte. Die Inhaber sind wirklich freundlich. Man merkt sehr, wie sehr die Inhaber ihr Lokal lieben. Das Lokal selbst ist nicht besonders groß, deshalb ist es ratsam hier mit einer Reservierung zu erscheinen. Es ist alles sehr hell. Die Einrichtung lädt zum entspannen ein. Die Musik ist gut gewählt. Die Speisekarte hat eine ganze Seite nur für Rentner? 😂 Es gibt ein Mittagsmenü über eine ganze Seite. Die Karte ist groß aber die Gerichte, aber man wird auch gern beraten, falls Fragen aufkommen. Preislich kann man auch nichts sagen. Habe für 3 Leute 62 Euro bezahlt. Komme definitiv wieder. Zudem sei noch angemerkt die Schärfe Pikant bezieht sich nur auf den deutschen Gaumen, wenn man es etwas schärfer will sollte man darüber die Bedienung aufklären :)
