The food is delicious and the decor is really cozy. The service is friendly and helpful.

From the very beginning, we received incredibly friendly service. The server was quick to attend, checked on us during the meal, and seemed to anticipate our every need. Born for service! Ten out of five stars. Despite two large events and a full restaurant, our food arrived promptly. A perfect score for the kitchen! The food (venison roast) was delicious; I just wished it had a bit more sauce (which I'm sure they could have provided), but the sauce could have used a little more gravy. Serving the sauce separately would also be better, so you could add it yourself. The latter was nitpicking, though, and purely a matter of personal taste. All in all, good, traditional cuisine in a lovely, very friendly atmosphere. We'll be back and next time we'll have the dessert we couldn't eat because we were so full 😉. Update in response to the owner's reply: The 5 stars were awarded for the outstanding service. I think 4 stars for the other aspects is quite good. Five stars would be perfect, but unfortunately it wasn't quite there yet. However, I'd like to emphasize that very few restaurants can boast such friendly and attentive service. A lot depends on that. 😉

But what makes the Gasthof is the people who work there... So very friendly, helpful, experts at what they do...and most of all very very nice people who made a wedding a day of wonderful memories and indeed much fun...as was our son Connor and others dancing that night... The inn is in an idyllic location away from the streets. The inn is a charming, fairytale-like building with a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. The menu is easy to navigate, which is a plus for restaurants that offer everything in huge portions. That's not the case here. Besides the regular restaurant service, they also offer the option of hosting larger events or enjoying seasonal buffets. The prices are very fair for the portion sizes and quality. We received very friendly service, and our food arrived incredibly quickly. We would definitely return to this beautiful wooded area, if only to see the wildlife.

The service was very good, and the venue was perfectly prepared and arranged. A successful celebration. We would be happy to come back anytime.

Friendly, very attentive, and competent staff. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. Guests are greeted warmly in the entrance area and shown to their seats. In the colder season, double doors protect the entrance area from drafts. The highly recommended kale with Bregenwurst will be available again soon (as of October 2025).

We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary, just the two of us. The table was festively and lovingly set. The reception was fantastic. Unfortunately, our table was right next to the main road leading to the restroom and the pickup area for pre-ordered food. This unfortunately didn't create an intimate atmosphere. However, the restaurant was fully booked, and the service and food were absolutely beyond reproach. Our heartfelt thanks go to the service and kitchen staff! High praise!

We happened to be nearby on German Unity Day and were hungry. Unfortunately, the place was already full, but we were offered a seat outside. The server was super friendly, and I haven't had such a delicious schnitzel and fried potatoes in ages. I'll definitely stop by again!

Extremely attentive, very fast service (more than 5 stars would be appropriate here), a relaxed location, and excellent cuisine. Absolutely excellent value for money. A quick glance into the decorated hall suggested a perfect atmosphere for celebrations.

We celebrated our wedding at the Arkaden Saal a week ago, and what can we say? It was simply perfect! Yelda and her team did a fantastic job! The ambiance, food, service, drinks, decor… everything was just perfect! They were also extremely accommodating and helpful in every situation! All of our guests were more than satisfied! A beautiful wedding venue, and even without an event, you can enjoy a delicious and lovely meal there :)

A truly magical place, especially on sunny days with its large outdoor terrace. But the interior is also very nice. Super friendly, dedicated, and numerous staff, good food, and very reasonable prices in a place that used to only be visited with a very fat wallet "once in a lifetime." It's great that such a great location can offer such great service in these times!

I've rarely experienced such attentive and extremely friendly service staff. Before the menu was brought, the children were given crayons and coloring pages. The food is also really delicious and the portions are perfectly generous. The selection for children is also fantastic, and not just fries and nuggets. The area around the restaurant is also really great, with a playground right outside the door. If you're in Hildesheim and are out and about in the game reserve, you shouldn't miss it.

The restaurant, Die Kupferschmiede, is located just outside Hildesheim. Nestled in a small forest. It has an animal enclosure and a children's playground. A beautiful old house, with a beautiful interior and a large outdoor terrace. It was very busy, but luckily we had a reservation. But the service was very friendly and quick. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Parking is nearby. Thank you 👍

The Kupferschmide is a wonderful place to stop for a bite to eat. Whether you're visiting the game reserve or just stopping for a coffee, you can certainly enjoy elegant dining at fair prices. We were particularly impressed by the service. You should definitely check in at the front desk; the gentleman there was super friendly and had everything under control. Hats off! Not everyone can do that.

I went to the Kupferschmiede with my husband last Sunday around 6:00 p.m. We were immediately greeted with: "Unfortunately, the pike-perch fillet is sold out, fries are sold out, and the veggie dish is no longer available." Hmm... A great start to a lovely evening. Because of this, I can only give it 3 stars. The food itself was good, even if the selection was very limited. I would try the Kupferschmiede again, hoping that was an exception.

The restaurant looks beautiful, and the location is truly worth the visit. Unfortunately, the service here ruins any good impression. The staff was rude, overwhelmed by the crowd, and not at all hospitable. We were even refused a drink and condescendingly directed to the kiosk. This seemed very unfriendly and disrespectful, especially towards tourists. It's a shame, because in such a beautiful setting, one would actually expect hospitality and professionalism.

BAM Hildesheim – watch out! Rarely have we had such a perfect experience in a restaurant! The service was excellent, always on the ball, friendly, super fast, and competent! The food arrived very quickly at the table and was photographed in a modern way on an iPhone before being sent directly to the kitchen, where it was exquisitely prepared. The ambiance is very pretty and lovingly decorated with an eye for detail! The price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable, and we would love to come back! Highly recommended, even when the place is packed, everything works perfectly! So let's go!

This place is an absolute insider tip and highly recommended. We were invited there for a family celebration and felt warmly welcomed from the very beginning. We started off with the parking attendant, who let us drive right to the entrance because we had a severely disabled person with us. A table for 15 people was lovingly set for us. As soon as we sat down, a very friendly lady attended to our every need. The aperitif was served immediately and left nothing to be desired. The menu is extensive and offers seasonal dishes, vegetarian options for seniors, and numerous dishes for children. The food orders were taken promptly and always with a smile from the aforementioned friendly employee. The various dishes ordered were all served to the guests at the same time. All guests were extremely satisfied with the quality, preparation, presentation, and taste - nothing short of excellent. The place itself is very well maintained and decorated in a very elegant style. There is an indoor and outdoor area. The conservatory, or rather the pavilion, was already set up for a wedding today, giving us a glimpse of how lovingly the guests' wishes are taken into account down to the smallest detail. The adjacent game reserve also makes a visit with children particularly enjoyable. We extend our sincere thanks for your hospitality and hope to be able to welcome you back soon.

Our class celebrated our 10th graduation anniversary with the Kupferschmiede (coppersmiths). The venue was the Tanzhaus (near the train station), a truly fantastic and beautiful location! There were 70 of us, and there was more than enough space. They even provided a dance floor, and we were able to enjoy the very warm evening in the courtyard. We also booked a projector, which worked well, and upon request, we were also able to use the sound system and microphone. We took care of the decorations ourselves (except for the tablecloth/napkins – we booked those separately, and candles were also scattered around the tables). We opted for a buffet, and all intolerances and requests were catered for (veggie, vegan, and celiac disease). The food was delicious, varied, and we were able to express our preferences in advance. The staff on site were able to answer all questions about the food and were always friendly and accommodating. Overall, the service was excellent. We used the brand system, and it worked perfectly. It was also possible to pay for the tokens with a card, but cash is much easier and faster :) The drink selection was good, and there was something for everyone. Communication before the event was easy, straightforward, and always friendly. Ms. Maywandpoor was available to answer any questions and contacted me by phone during the final stages of organization, so everything was really clear. Thank you so much, Ms. Maywandpoor, you made organizing the party with 70+ people much easier for me! :) I highly recommend the Kupferschmiede for events; everything was perfect. I also highly recommend the Tanzhaus venue for larger events. :)

No matter what the issue, a solution was always offered immediately, without any worries. The food was fantastic, the service attentive, friendly, and absolutely professional. Our guests felt well looked after throughout – and we, the bride and groom, were also able to enjoy the day in a relaxed manner. We're certain: This was not only the perfect wedding location, but also our regular restaurant for special occasions from now on. We were there on July 20th in glorious weather and spent a family day out. We had made a reservation in advance, so we didn't have to wait for a table. It was very busy, and attendants organized parking. It went smoothly and quickly. The food is delicious. A manageable selection with something for everyone. The service is first-class. Always friendly and welcoming, and guests are never lost sight of. They frequently ask if everything is okay—very attentive. The location is beautiful, with a small zoo next door, so even children won't get bored. There's also a playground. All in all, it was a fantastic day. Many thanks to the entire Kupferschmiede team. Great restaurant with fantastic service and a beautiful ambiance First of all, a huge compliment to the staff: Everyone was friendly, very natural, quick, and extremely accommodating – just what you'd want! The ambiance is fantastic and I really enjoyed it. The spacious beer garden in particular has a wonderful atmosphere, where you immediately feel at home. I would gladly give more than 5 stars for the service and atmosphere! Unfortunately, yes, unfortunately, I just didn't have much luck with my food choices. For my starter, I had the buffalo mozzarella with vine tomatoes and homemade pesto. The mozzarella and tomatoes were of very good quality, but I couldn't taste the pesto. Everything was served on a mountain of arugula, which was unfortunately drowned in a very sweet Aceto Balsamico di Modena dressing that was more reminiscent of a convenience store. My main course, the eggplant roulade in tomato cream filled with falafel and feta, served with spaetzle and a salad plate, initially sounded very promising. Unfortunately, the eggplant slices were very dry and difficult to cut, the filling was rather tasteless, and the spaetzle also seemed like a convenience product without any seasoning or butter. The tomato sauce tasted more like a simple ready-made sauce. The falafel were also rather bland. The dessert, a homemade tiramisu with raspberries, tasted okay, but unfortunately, there were no raspberries in the dessert itself – only the sauce had a raspberry flavor. Nevertheless, I would like to emphasize: I would definitely come back! The service and ambiance are so excellent that I would gladly give the restaurant a second chance. The dishes of the others in our group all looked good, and everyone was very satisfied – I guess I was just unlucky with my choice this time.

It was absolutely clear that you were concerned about us being happy and that everything went the way we wanted (within your means). We felt completely at ease! And when the big day finally arrived, we had a lot of little worries, but not about whether everything would run smoothly at Kupferschmiede. We just knew that! We received so much positive feedback from our guests: about the location, the wonderful, warm service, and the delicious food. Even though the day certainly wasn't easy for us or for you at 36 degrees Celsius, everyone made the most of it. We're sad that the regular planning meetings and the wedding are over, but we're really looking forward to visiting you again and again (and definitely on our wedding day)! The service has always been impeccable, whether it's friendliness, speed, or competence – there's never been anything to complain about. The prices are absolutely fair and reasonable. You can eat much more expensively and worse these days. On our last visit, I had the Angus steak and ordered it rare. My order was understood and cooked to perfection. The fried potatoes were juicy and crispy as usual, and the side salad was exactly to my taste (balsamic vinegar). We come regularly and can give a clear recommendation! Animals, nature, food – everything that body and soul need. 10/10
