The occasion was a milestone birthday celebration with 29 adults and 6 children. The planning, execution, food (buffet including some special requests – some vegetarian) and service were perfect and left nothing to be desired. The setting, including the game reserve, is unique and a welcome change of pace during a longer stay, especially for younger children.

Dear Kupferschmiede team, We celebrated our son's First Communion with you yesterday. It was a wonderful day with delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. The service was excellent, and we would celebrate with you again for any occasion. Everyone was satisfied. Thank you so much.

Highly recommended! We had lunch at the "Meine Kupferschmiede" restaurant with a group of 48 people. A particular advantage of the location is its idyllic setting in the forest, with a large game reserve nearby that can be visited. Communication beforehand was absolutely pleasant and seamless. The service staff were very attentive, friendly, and prompt, and the food was excellent. Several members of our tour group spontaneously expressed their intention to dine here again on a future private trip to Hildesheim.

The food is delicious, the service is great, it's a shame it's only open four days a week, otherwise we would come more often.

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary with you. From the planning to the farewell at the end of the celebration, we felt very well looked after. The food was very tasty, the staff was very friendly. Many thanks to the entire team from planning, service and kitchen for making this a successful celebration for us. We'd love to come back.

The staff was very, very friendly and accommodating, the food was good, the romantic terrace was unfortunately very crowded and just not particularly pretty or romantic.

We were at the Kupferschmiede in Hildesheim on Mother's Day at 5:30 p.m. Reception and ordering went smoothly, the starters also came quickly - so far everything was good. However, after that we had to wait a full 45 minutes for the main courses, while other tables that came after us had already had their food. Finally I spoke to the waiters - shortly afterwards, after about 5-10 minutes, our main courses arrived. Unfortunately, three of the steaks were completely cold - so cold that not even the herb butter could melt. The fried potatoes were at most lukewarm. The schnitzel dishes, on the other hand, were very tasty as usual, only the children's schnitzel was also cold while the fries were still warm. When we asked the waiters how the food tasted, we openly expressed our feedback. The shift manager then came and reacted very quickly and professionally. Two of the steaks, which were barely touched, were removed from the bill. Replacement food was offered, but almost two hours had already passed - some of them had lost their appetite, and with small children it was simply too long. We are frequent guests at the Kupferschmiede and so far everything has always gone smoothly. We therefore see this incident as a one-time exception. We are generally satisfied with the taste and service - this time it just wasn't quite right. That's why we award 4 stars - with a blind eye. But we look forward to the next visit!

It was really nice, the waitresses were very nice and friendly. The ambience was also very appealing. However, I think it's a disgrace, especially with today's prices, not to use fresh potatoes, but potatoes for commercial kitchens. I don't have to go to a restaurant for that.

Unfortunately I can't give a star this time. We (8 people) had reserved a table for 3 p.m. There was no more cake, so we couldn't have our meeting on site for coffee and cake. Things can always happen out of order, but if I have a reservation for 3 p.m., I should still have cake for those guests.

After a visit to the Wildgatter, we sat down on the terrace for lunch. My salad with goat cheese gratin was very tasty. It's also very expensive, but it almost feeds two people 😄 friendly service and a great view of the animals included. We'll be back 🙂

Once again - four adults and two children - visited the coppersmith and didn't regret it. With the playground and game gate in front of the door, it is an ideal place to dine and relax with small children. The ambience is simply great as is the service. And the food: as always GREAT. Always and very happily again.

In my coppersmith's restaurant, everything is really perfect. The service is not only very friendly, you feel that you are a welcome guest. The food was plentiful and excellent. The coppersmith's shop is always worth a trip. The game reserve and playground are magical. The food and service are excellent. The ambience, the view and everything around it is also great. Also highly recommended for celebrations.

Expensive, but very good food, nice location. I had the schnitzel with asparagus and hollandaise at Easter (€32). The asparagus was basically perfect, the schnitzel was large and also very tasty, and the hollandaise was also good. The location at the Wildgatter is very nice when the weather is good outside. The service was also very good; Even when the restaurant was at full capacity at Easter, orders were taken quickly and friendly, and the food arrived in less than 30 minutes. Of course, at around 100 euros for two people with a few drinks, the restaurant is already expensive, but I had the feeling that everything was right and we were completely satisfied. At 32 euros I expected a very tasty meal of good quality without any faults, and this expectation was met.

We were there on Easter Sunday for the Easter buffet. The reservation and the communication in advance went absolutely smoothly. The service was nice, but unfortunately there were some problems with the drink orders. Unfortunately, these took considerably too long. Sometimes 60 minutes for one round. This caused some displeasure, unfortunately it has to be said and that's why we have to deduct a star. Of course it was also very full and the employees were at their limit. I also expressed the criticism on site and they apologized to me. The buffet was very good and the food was also delicious. The buffet was always replenished. Everything was fine here and we were happy with it.

It wasn't our first time in the coppersmith's shop on Easter Monday. The buffet was of high quality, everything tasted delicious and the staff was great: always friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back.

It was a very nice Easter Sunday brunch. The atmosphere in the Kupferschmiede is great, the food was delicious and the service was simply great. There was endless work to be done, but no one was grumpy, all wishes were met with a smile. You feel welcome there. A big compliment and thank you to everyone who worked for us today.

We had reserved and were welcomed directly and friendly by the boss. There was a salad on the floor at the table, which was taken care of immediately and quickly. We would love to come back. The food is fantastic and it's lovely to sit outside. We found one small point unfortunate: a side salad without tomatoes with a hint of an allergy was not accepted because there were too many guests. But all in all very good

After a walk in the game reserve, we stopped by today. The kids were immediately given something to paint, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious! The kids had fries with nuggets (not pureed cardboard nuggets!!), and my salad was absolutely amazing. I rarely write reviews, but I just have to express my enthusiasm here.

Located right next to a wildlife enclosure. The service is nice and attentive. The food is good to very good. Parking can be a bit difficult on weekends. The access, via a small forest road, is sometimes narrow due to the many cars.

Yesterday I celebrated my 70th birthday at the Kupferschmiede. Not only me, my guests were also completely thrilled!!! Beautiful location on the outskirts of Hildesheim, in the middle of the forest with a view of the “Wildgatter” zoo. You can stop here for a quick coffee, have a delicious lunch or hold a large celebration. The menu is small, but the food is almost always very good and always something unusual. An additional pleasure is the atmosphere on the terrace. The cakes and tarts are also always worth a sin. Only the service is sometimes a little snags.

A very attractive location... Just thought like this: we drink coffee and eat cake here. We first looked at the beautiful outdoor area, which is really easy to visit with children. There is enough space.... You can also sit outside here, very nice... Now to drink coffee: unfortunately there is no cake buffet or a small selection of cakes here. There were two "cake bases" to choose from... What a shame! But it should also be said: this restaurant has a very tasty menu and specializes in it. It's totally fine, celebrations are held here and every wish is fulfilled. We'll definitely be back, but we'll be prepared differently...

Starting with the very good advice, the very attentive, professional and always friendly service, the excellent Italian cold and warm buffet, which was put together according to our wishes, right up to the very tasteful ambience, the Kupferschmiede and its team convinced us again. Today we had lunch at the coppersmith's for a long time. Everything was successful all around. The food was delicious and the service was extremely friendly and accommodating, even though it was very busy. We didn't have to wait long for the food and had a good time. We will come here more often. A lot has been put into the ambience in recent years and it shows. :-) The only thing that's not so good is the parking situation. When there's a lot going on, it's sometimes difficult to get a seat. But that's just a hint.

Online reservation is easy, always works and then a very friendly welcome and seat allocation. The food is first class, prices are okay. Always happy because you can combine it with a walk through the zoo.

Rich buffet with great antipasti and 3 main courses. If the vegetables had been hotter and added a little earlier, it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, 4.7 is not possible. Always happy, price and performance are just right.

We were there with 15 people on Christmas Day. The first impression below is very positive about the atmosphere. We sat upstairs. Very crowded and we felt like we were in a hall. The soup as a starter was tasty but lukewarm. The food (antipasta) was carelessly prepared and the fish was almost gone. The hot dishes were lukewarm to cold. The drinks were only brought after asking. Bad service. They were quick to clear away. No more 0.3 glasses and we had to order 0.5l. Beer was too warm. Overall it was a disappointment and we had the feeling - mass instead of class - We wouldn't go there again. Maybe “a la carte” is better!

We were there in the afternoon of the fourth Advent and still got warm food according to the menu, which also tasted delicious. Fortunately, there is always a vegetarian and a vegan option. Even though it was busy, the service was quick. People also asked if they would like drinks or coffee again, and unfortunately there is often a problem with that in other restaurants. It was a completely successful visit for us.

We went to the Kupferschmiede for the Advent buffet for the first time. I have to say that we felt comfortable and valued from the first minute. From the welcome, the table assignment, the accompaniment and introduction of the buffet to the enjoyment of the wonderfully prepared dishes, the Kupferschmiede stands out from other locations. The staff is super friendly and you never get the impression that you are one of many guests. We'll definitely come back.
