Very good doner kebab with homemade bread

I completely agree with Thomas's review below. Today I also had a more than disappointing experience. The doner plate was so small that, as a relatively slim woman of 1.55 m (5'11"), I wasn't even remotely satisfied. It was ice cold. Even though I asked for extra sauce, there weren't more than two drops of sauce on either the doner or the salad. It felt like there were five fries under the meat. For the price, that's simply not justified. And it pains me to say this, because the owner is truly exceptionally nice and friendly. But the food is just not up to par. If I were to give it a grade, I'd give it a C-. I'll definitely think twice about coming back here or finding a new regular doner shop ☹️

The service was incredibly friendly, but the food was a disaster. The doner meat came from a bowl that had been kept warm for who knows how long. The vegetarian börek were also awful. As a "reward," the whole family ended up with an upset stomach! I definitely don't recommend this place!

To the team at Med Dürüm. We live nearby and occasionally visit you. You are super friendly and your food is delicious. Unfortunately, we've noticed several times that although our orders are taken very quickly at the counter, the contents aren't right. At home, for example, we discovered that the cheese wasn't included, but the onions we'd chosen were, and the vegetarian doner kebab with falafel was actually meat. The chili sauce that had been left out then surfaced in the form of our daughter's tears. Please make a note of your order when it's busy, as speed isn't everything in that case. Still tasty... Review from August 7, 2025 – Feedback from a long-time regular customer (5-star rating for 5 years is hereby adjusted) Regarding August 7: Next try! This time, I deliberately ordered two doner kebabs because I expected the super version (regardless of whether it was a doner kebab or a durum wheat bread) to be much too small again. I also got a salad and a flatbread. The delivered doner kebabs aren't really worthy of being called doner kebabs in terms of quantity – they're more like a sandwich. I weigh my doner kebabs to track the calorie content – and this time we had the lowest calorie count ever: just under 370g! I almost consider that a scam. In addition, both doner kebabs and my wife's salad had almost no sauce, which significantly reduced the flavor. The bread wasn't crispy either – as if it hadn't even seen the toaster – and that applied to both my doner kebab and the bread with the salad. Conclusion: The rating is now being adjusted to 2 stars. I will avoid this kebab FOR NOW. I'm giving it 2 stars solely because the owner is very friendly, the food is always prepared quickly, and the freshness of the products is generally not an issue. There will be one or two more chances in 2025, but the 3-4 visits a month are over for now. A large part of my circle of friends is also in the process of changing. Additional information: Between my two visits, I visited the competitor at Ullersdorf Platz, which offers very good layered meat. The Super Doner there weighed 780g. While it was a bit more expensive than a Super Doner at your place, it was cheaper than two doner kebabs. I was particularly disappointed with my last three orders of the Super Dürüm: The portion was so small that it was barely three fingers wide – I find that a real imposition. If this had just been a slip-up, I wouldn't have said anything. But it seems to be the new standard now. I'm happy to pay more for good quality and fair portions – but with ever-shrinking portions at the same price, I'm at a loss for words. As a long-time regular customer, I find this development very unfortunate.

Best Dürüm for miles around, and super friendly staff.

I even got a super doner kebab with cheese, and it's still the smallest kebab I've had in Dresden so far. And you pay €8 for that?!?! Addit and my friend, who had a regular doner kebab, got a kebab twice as big, while my friend and I, with the super doner kebab, felt like we had the bread.

I've been a regular customer for years and have never been disappointed. The salad is juicy, the sauces creamy and flavorful, the meat simply perfect. The bread is very flavorful and complements the dish. I personally highly recommend it with feta cheese. All in all, a superb shop and always my first choice.

A doner kebab is essentially a meal for on the go. Unfortunately, my doner kebab wasn't in a piece of flatbread as usual, but a kind of burger bun. It wasn't filled either; it was sliced ​​open like a burger, with lots of meat in between, unfortunately very little salad, and a ton of sauce. I found the sauce far too sweet. The bread was very hard. I've never seen anything like it claiming to be a doner kebab before. I won't be back! PS: Unfortunately, my doner kebab didn't look like some of the photos here!!!

This was my absolute favorite kebab shop in Dresden for many years, but since a new staff took over and the previous manager left, the food is completely forgettable. All you get are tiny mini kebabs with small pieces of poor quality meat, served almost tastelessly in the smallest bowls imaginable. This was the worst kebab I've ever eaten in my life. Customers should be paid for willingly subjecting themselves to this food. I'm absolutely disappointed and will never set foot in this shop again. R.I.P.

Unfortunately, the quality has declined dramatically. I've been buying vegetarian kebabs there every now and then for many years. This was the third time in a row that the quality was extremely poor. The bread was crumbly and tasted stale, the salad was bland, and the sauce definitely had a "hit" flavor. It tasted slightly sour, and I didn't eat much of it. Unfortunately, I didn't feel well after eating it. I won't be coming here again. What a shame!

I tried MedDürum because of the good reviews. I opted for a vegetarian plate. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and efficient, even though it was busy. Overall, the vegetarian plate tasted good, but aside from two pieces of halloumi and two small falafel, the plate consisted of a lot of salad and a lot of fries, which were drenched in sauce and were soggy when I got home. Unfortunately, my stomach wasn't feeling so well an hour after eating it.

Highly recommended! I haven't had such a delicious kebab in a long time. 👍

I ate there yesterday afternoon. The bread was as hard as a rock and broke while eating... The cheese on the kebab was forgotten, and I've had diarrhea since yesterday. Sorry, but why has the quality declined so much, especially when the boss himself was behind the counter.

The bread on the kebab plate is hard and inedible. The meat caused stomach problems. Unfortunately not recommended at all; There are much better kebabs/dürüms in Bühlau.

I have always felt warmly welcome there for many years. The food has always tasted very good (even compared to the local, comparable competition). The friendly approach, even when stressful (busy store, annoying customers with tons of extra requests) motivates me to go there regularly.

I've been a regular customer for years. For me the best kebab in Dresden. The staff is very friendly, the food tastes good and is always convincing. There is enough space to sit inside and outside. Sometimes very busy at peak times but overall highly recommended.

Today we picked up a small and a large plate of kebab. The meat is really tasty, the salad is beautifully prepared, crispy and fresh and the sauce is a dream. Unfortunately, the flatbread was too hard and couldn't be eaten, but I only noticed it when I got home. Otherwise very tasty, service really friendly. We'll definitely come back. :)

I definitely cannot understand this high rating and the comments. Absolutely standard kebab that you can get everywhere. The bread was quite sticky and the meat was like rubber. The kebab costs “only” €6.50, but there is very little in it, especially hardly any meat. That doesn't have much to do with good kebab.

Bread and service are really top notch, there were four of us eating there (2x regular kebab without cheese, 2x meat kebab with onions) and after 2 hours everyone got the bill for it, I would really advise against this shop if you want to protect your stomach .

My personal favorite in all of Dresden! The kebab/dürüm is absolutely delicious with homemade dough and flatbread, the whole thing for €6 or €6.5 is very fair in my opinion! The boys are all really nice and very welcoming. I'm happy every time again :D

With one of the best kebab shops in Dresden. Meat is great, as are vegetables. However, when ordering you should specify which sauce you prefer. What's worth highlighting is the always friendly service, even when it's a little crowded. The speed of preparation is also excellent. (even if it's full) If you've been there more often, it's enough to answer the question "As always?" A simple “yes” and everything goes as it should. It's also good that I've recently been able to pay by card, which makes everything a little easier.

I always ask myself which people have so little skill to rate these low-quality things so well. It's probably a general problem in Dresden/Saxony. One star for the bread. But otherwise catastrophe. People, broaden your horizons so that you know better things.

Es roch schon an der Haltestelle lecker. Die Pide war mit Abstand die Beste die ich bisher gegessen habe und ich habe einige Piden bisher in einigen Imbissen und Dönern gegessen. Super freundliches Personal! Werde wieder hier herkommen und muss sagen er macht den besten Eindruck den ich von allen Dönern bisher hatte wo ich gegessen hab.

Der leckerste Döner den ich je gegessen habe! Meiner Meinung nach der beste Dönerladen der Stadt (auch wenn es auf dem 1. Blick dem ein oder anderem vielleicht nicht so scheint). Wir haben lange nach einem richtig guten Dönerladen gesucht & hier gefunden. Wir gehen regelmäßig hin & der Döner ist immer mega lecker, gut gefüllt & top gewürzt! Zudem ist das 'Dönerbrot' sehr frisch & lecker. Auch Dürüm & Dönerteller sind top. Das Personal ist super freundlich, aufmerksam & man wird immer mit einem Lächeln begrüßt! Absolut weiterzuempfehlen & einen Besuch wert :)

Das ist der beste Dönerladen den ich je besucht habe. Das Fleisch war sehr saftig und dünn geschnitten und das Gemüse sehr frisch. Außerdem ist das Brot selbstgemacht und schmeckt sehr knusprig. Die Mitarbeiter sind mega nett und die Atmosphäre ist sehr friedlich. Den Laden kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Beim Etablissement Med Dürüm erwartet man herkömmliches Fast Food. JEDOCH täuscht der äußere Anblick. Im Lokal ist es hervorragend sauber und die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet. Der Inhaber war sehr freundlich und stellte aus selbst angefertigtem Hefeteig eine schmackhafte Pizza her. Dürum und Fladenbrot landen ebenfalls im Pizzaofen und sind so heiß und knusprig. Die Füllung des Dürüms und des Döners waren mehr als ausreichend. Hier wurde eine sehr gute Balance zwischen Fleisch und Gemüse gefunden. Lediglich die Saucen sind verbesserungswürdig, aber das liegt ja bekanntlich im Auge des Betrachters. Ich kann diesen Dönerladen nur empfehlen.

Lecker und schnell aber sie sollten sich lieber aufschreiben was die Leute nicht auf den Döner wollen anstelle sich alles zu merken schon des Öfteren was falsch. Also hinschauen und ermahnen wen was falsches genommen wird eb es auf dem Döner ist.

Ich bin bin sehr positiv beeindruckt, die Menschen die dort arbeiten sin alles sehr sehr nett, das Essen ist wahrscheinlich das beste was ich je gegessen habe. Das Brot für die Döner uns dürums sind selbst gemacht, bzw. Wirken uns schmecken so. Das Gemüse ist immer frisch und das Fleisch saftig und lecker. Die Soßen sind auch eine 10/10. Der Laden ist ansonsten im Sommer sehr kühl und sehr schön möbliert. Empfehle ich:)

Super nettes Personal, aber das Essen ist jetzt nicht herausragend. Macht satt und schmeckt, aber leider nur Hackfleischspiess. Zudem werden die Spieße noch in Folie gehüllt auf den Grill gepackt. Die erste Schicht kann also noch ein wenig Folie enthalten. Beim Reinigen der Vitrine ist außerdem klar sichtbar Reinigungsmittel auf die Salatbar gekommen, als ich gewartet habe.

Wirklich sehr leckerer und vor allem frisch schmeckender Döner. Außerdem sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist das Brot, welches beim Essen zerfällt, was dem Geschmack keinen Abbruch tut aber doch für rine ganz schöne Sauerei sorgt.
