I was really looking forward to a burger again, unfortunately the vegetarian version, as they've discontinued it. So I was left with the vegetarian nuggets, oh well. Unfortunately, I didn't check beforehand and trusted the staff to get the order right. And I only realized it was dead meat in my mouth when I already had it on top of a real chicken nugget. At the register, I just got a quick "Oh, I'm sorry" and then my vegetarian nuggets. A small compensation would have been nice, as I'd almost lost my appetite. Oh well, I won't be going back anytime soon, what's the point anyway, there's not really anything for me anymore. It's a shame, I always really liked the veggie burgers.

After the Open Flair Festival, I bought some refreshments for the drive home. While waiting for my semi-healthy meal, I noticed the strange-looking restaurant manager, who, both with his demeanor and the way he treats his staff, casts a rather unflattering light on the restaurant. His overly tight shirt was probably cutting off his blood flow somewhere, prompting strange comments from the customers. The food was far more enjoyable than the manager.

Very dirty... The cleanliness of the tables and benches needs improvement, just like the wasp drive-in 😅 We've seen a few McDonald's branches, but ours in Eschwege is by far the dirtiest.

Just plug in two fast chargers and continue after 20 minutes. Great feature at many McDrives these days. Very convenient, and free Wi-Fi. Great!

Lately, problems have been piling up. The ice cream machine hasn't been working properly for weeks – I don't know if that's been fixed yet. The McFlurry tastes like it had been prepared days ago and simply left in the cold storage. When I asked about it, they initially responded evasively: "I don't know what you mean..." Later, they admitted that they were aware of the problem – but they didn't know exactly what caused it. But let's be honest: If the product isn't right, it shouldn't be sold – and certainly not at the regular price! That's not how you treat customers. It seems like you're trying to hide the defects as discreetly as possible while still collecting your money. On top of that, the dining room was anything but clean during my visit – quite the opposite. Especially in this heat, you're looking forward to some decent ice cream – but anyone who comes here will definitely be disappointed.

It's getting worse and worse. The ice cream machine hasn't been working properly for weeks (I don't know if it's been fixed yet), and the MC Flurry tastes like it's been sitting in the refrigerator for two days. When asked about it, the initial response is a brazen "I don't really know what you mean..." and then later they admit the problem and say the issue has been going on for a while, but they don't know what's causing it. Yeah, folks, then you can't sell an "MC Flurry" if it doesn't live up to the quality, especially not at full price! Customers are simply being blatantly lied to and cheated out of every penny. The dining room was also very dirty. Anyone looking forward to ice cream in these hot temperatures should skip it! You'll be disappointed!

After a long time, I stopped by McDonald's for something. The online order worked great, but the rest was a disaster. The young man at the counter complained loudly about his boss, how hot it was, and how no one in the store was taking care of anything... yes, it's over 30°C, but other people work in this weather too. As if that wasn't annoying enough, three burgers were missing from our order. Yes, they could have checked, but there was absolutely nothing going on, so you'd assume that with an order of almost €45, everything would be complete. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case :-) ...oh, and of course, I wish the young man a speedy recovery; I hope his headache goes away soon :-)

Despite ordering via the app, I waited for quite some time in vain for my table order. When I asked, a slip of paper was pulled from a pile of orders. Even though I waited a while longer, the fries were lukewarm, the ice cubes in my drink had practically melted, and overall, I felt completely overwhelmed. I've had much better experiences at other, busier McDonald's branches.

Always the same! Even in a restaurant, it's impossible to get fresh, hot food. UNLESS: You say, "I want my food hot." Then it might work. The McRib comes without a hand wipe, another one in ESW. Special orders, such as those without a cucumber, are ignored. YES, THAT'S OKAY. AFTER ALL, THE CUCUMBER IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. . . Oh yes, no, I haven't just been there once! ! ! But ESW was the worst so far!

Absolutely ridiculous place. Employees yell at each other in front of customers, half the food is missing. Some woman behind the counter is throwing a mop around the place, screaming like she's in a madhouse. You ask why the restroom is locked (we had to wait 15 minutes; there was no one there) and you're called a liar and told to just go to the men's restroom because it's not their problem. *Edit* This place should definitely be shut down by the health department, especially since I've heard from friends that employees drop burgers (without packaging) on ​​the floor in the kitchen and still serve them—let alone cover their mouths when sneezing. Not recommended. Please abolish it.

Cool place but it's terribly expensive

We only had the ice cream this time, but unfortunately, the quality wasn't great. It was rather watery and not at all creamy.

We were in Eschwege again at the Golden M. Ordering was quick, and table service was good. I then asked a member of staff why the air conditioning was set so cold and that it would be nice if she could turn it off. The answer I got was that some people find it too cold, while others complained it's too warm. We ate without dessert and went home because it was extremely cold. Why do you have to have the air conditioning on at midnight when it's 15 degrees outside?

Alternative: I go to Subway more often these days and actually prefer it to McDonald's. I can only recommend it until the aforementioned problems at the Golden M are resolved. Absolute chaos, wrong orders come in and the employees don't understand you. You could see through the cucumbers and the burger was flattened as if it had been run over... The receipt either comes with 6 meter long white paper or simply nothing at all...

Today, April 21st, 2025, 5 employees from McDonald's Eschwege failed to properly process my app order at the drive in. PayPal payment was a total challenge for everyone and everyone was firmly convinced that I would have paid with points instead of PayPal because they didn't understand their own cash register system. I canceled the order and without a kind word they just left me standing and moved on to the next customer. McDonald's Eschwege is becoming increasingly poor and unqualified behavior. Very disappointing and I will probably go to Burger King to eat soon.

The staff is very friendly. The toilets are very clean, which I have seen differently in other branches. We have a long journey, but we still enjoy coming here.

I ordered a mc smart menu and ordered mayonnaise on the fancy burger but I got Asian sauce which was outrageous and the tables were very dirty and the cola had no coland sauce

Hello, It's been 2 hours and 10 minutes, I couldn't get through on the phone the whole time, it's the 7th time and now someone has answered. I was promised that the delivery was on the way. Puppy cake. After another 40 minutes it still doesn't come. Further telephone attempts failed. After 3 hours and around 15 minutes I finally reached someone and asked. The order should still be on the way. The driver has 4 deliveries. After about 3 hours and 40 minutes I gave up. And then the food came. Unfortunately cold. The driver apologized. Unfortunately it didn't do anything for me either. Conclusion: I will no longer use the delivery service. Too bad

Your typical McDonald's. Was there twice and both times a part of my order was missing. Both times i got the missing part after asking. Would recommend checking what you got against your order after pickup.
