McDonald's in Marl

Normally, I can't complain about McDonald's branches; they're always great. This time I was in Marl, on Freerbruchstraße. I ordered the meal via the mobile app and picked it up at the branch. It was about 1 p.m., but it wasn't very busy. Seriously, I've never waited that long before—almost 15 minutes. The two young ladies serving had plenty of time to chat; only when I complained did they combine my order. Unfortunately, the staff weren't even remotely friendly. I can especially praise the McDonald's on the A31 in Emsbüren. The staff there are fast and always friendly.

Underground service in Mc Drive. You stand in line FOR FOREVER, the drivers behind you become aggressive because the other customers can't get out of the parking lot and have to stand behind you forever because you're blocking everything. All of this to then hear that the mc drive would no longer accept orders because it would be very full. The very unfriendly service didn't care at all about the fact that I had already ordered and paid online! She lied and said that was what her boss had said. When I wanted to speak to the shift manager, it was suddenly a man who told me that this reaction from his employee was not acceptable. I suddenly had my order very quickly... The employees there are impossible!!!! I'd rather go to Recklinghausen or somewhere else.

Fast food? There were 2 vehicles in front of me in the drive in and I've been waiting for 28 minutes and the one in front of me still hasn't placed his order!! Only come there if you have no other life and want to wait hours for your food

They just can't handle it with the MC Drive and even send one away when it's too full.

Waiting times are catastrophic, staff are completely overwhelmed and unfriendly! We're not talking about peak times, absolutely not recommended, a shame for the MC Donald's chain, never experienced anything like this

The largest dirt shop there is in Marl. Mc Drive Lehr, 30 minute wait for a cheeseburger menu. The management allows itself to be denied by the staff. It's gotten worse and worse over the last few years, wrong burgers, bags packed incorrectly, etc. For me, the shop should be closed. You can't run a restaurant that way. It's an indictment of McDonald's itself! You don't get an apology, just a shrug of the shoulder because not everyone there understands German but works in customer service. Or you're told I'm not allowed to comment on it, it's in my contract. Where do we live please? My recommendation? Don't go there!!!

So otherwise I was happy. Today I ordered a happy meal and the bored lady first forgot to give me the water, then the toy wasn't there either and when I got home I noticed that there was no apple cone or squeeze. Thanks for the crappy service

It sometimes takes a long time for the food you ordered to be delivered, and sometimes it isn't really warm anymore. The children like the slide outside.

The only McDonald's where you always have to wait for hours. In addition, the lady at the drive in today was quite unfriendly.

There is no communication with customers. I ordered a strawberry milkshake and without asking I got a vanilla milkshake without asking if I even wanted it. Ordered sweet and sour sauce with the nuggets and got ranch sauce. They're little things for others, but you don't feel like running back to the counter for every little thing.

No longer recommended. Men's toilet always smells of urine. The employees are trying hard and unfortunately not effective. The food is lukewarm and cold. The complaint is discussed.

Eating as you know it. Can't complain. However, the parking situation is absolutely poor. People trying to drive through McDrive are holding up traffic. Because you can't drive past the waiting cars. And when you order from McDrive, you basically forget something.

Unfortunately, never again McDonald’s Marl! Sent away from Mc Drive today even though I wanted to wait. In the branch, no one comes to the deserted cash register so that I can ask whether I can order at the counter without an EC card (because I order like this every two weeks after jogging on the way home, the last time I was in the branch was 10 years ago and didn't know that). When the burger is handed over, the blonde young woman shouts out a sarcastic “Have a nice evening” instead. Now the employees have time, but instead of working they can laugh at me or grin. With fewer customers, you can also manage the workload. It worked for me

Food is usually good. Drive into disaster but well then you just don't go there. Long opening hours are great!

Absolutely unqualified staff, which changes every six months anyway, the service is very poor; you have to wait at least 20 minutes for your food. The McDonald's cars take up all the parking spaces in front of the restaurant.

Mediocre. 3 stars. There are good and bad days there. Sometimes it happens quickly, sometimes it takes forever. Sometimes there are staff working there who can be used to sole your shoes, sometimes people really step on the gas. Often a part of the order is missing. If it is not discovered at home, the error will be corrected immediately. Food is just McDonalds, there's not much you can do wrong. Sometimes the food is cold in McDrive, sometimes it's not. Just mediocre.

The employees can't handle the orders, often mix things up, or something is missing... At McDrive you order, come to the window where you pay and then you have to "DRIVE AWAY" without getting your order! Fries are often no longer crispy but soggy. It all takes quite a long time, everything has been warmed up for too long! I will be happy to eat freshly prepared food!

The shop was very dirty, the tables were not wiped down. After eating I had to rush to the toilet very quickly (twice). And the burger (The M) was soggy and not very good, the sauce was ok.

Waiting times at drive-ins during peak hours have been absolutely absurd for years. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes or more just to accept the order. This is followed by the waiting time for food, which is also extremely and unusually long. In addition, the entire parking lot is blocked if there are more than 3 cars waiting, so that you cannot leave the parking lot even if you are not a drive-in guest. No single incident happens there every week. 1 star for service is still too much.

Wow. No goodwill after waiting forever in Mcdrive on a normal weekday. When we arrived there were only 4 cars in front of us and 35 minutes later some of the food was cold in our hands. Order taking lady some disrespectful student. The gentleman who brought the food out at the end was already overwhelmed by asking my authorized representatives whether the food was still warm. People should really stop supporting American companies.

A disaster. Unfortunately, only one star. We ordered our food yesterday (April 1, 2025) at 7:25 p.m. via the app, and we received it at 8:00 p.m. That took far too long. I have to commend Sven (if I heard his name correctly). He was quick and tried to process the orders quickly. But the other employee, sorry, moved like a snail. As a result, the food wasn't the warmest.

I won't come back anytime soon. Even though I pre-ordered via the app, I stood in the store for another 20 minutes. This is absolutely within reason, no question about it. But when I went back to the car, there was such a queue at Mac Diversity that I wasn't able to get into the parking space first then leave the parking lot. I was stuck in the parking lot for 25 minutes. That's not possible... and none of the employees seemed to notice this and/or were interested in a solution. This wasn't "fast food" at all.

You wait an outrageously long time for your order. When asked, you only get a “stroppy” answer.

Incompetent staff. Wait times are far too long. Rude answers! And something is always missing. You speak to the staff, but no one has taken your drive-thru order. Impossible. Management should pay more attention to hiring qualified and friendly staff.

The big boss with the light hair is very nice and helps you, but some employees are not always in a good mood, which is understandable. Sometimes something is forgotten but the positive thing is that you get it back without a fuss, you know it differently, all in all a good McDonald's.

Food as usual, the service in the restaurant is very unfriendly. I have no idea why the lady looked for a job where she has customer contact. She obviously doesn't want to!

If you're in the mood for McDonald's today, you should avoid this branch... 1 hour waiting time because the order was mixed up, which apparently wasn't an isolated case... plus you didn't get what was ordered. It's annoying that you didn't check beforehand and only noticed when you got home that completely different things had been bagged. This branch is not recommended!

So we have now ordered more often on site or via Lieferando. I can always emphasize that the delivery is on time and on time and that the quality and taste are always very good! The food is always warm and delicious after delivery! We can always recommend it, we are very satisfied with the delivery!

MC Drive! Waited 26 minutes. Left 30€ there. The food was colder than the Coke. If you can't use the drive-in, close it. One of the worst McD experiences ever.

First you have to stand in front of the intercom for a long time before you can even order even though there is no other vehicle in the MC Drive. Then there was no carbonation for the cola and as a replacement there was a warm bottle of cola, but the fries were cold. 🤦🏼‍♂️ The burger was rather thrown into the packaging and so lukewarm. Really the worst McDonald's I know in the Recklinghausen district. 👎🏻 Addendum from today. I corrected the rating downwards again. That was the last visit to Marl. Had breakfast and the only thing you could eat was the MC muffin. The Franzbrötchen was badly baked and totally doughy/raw, so I threw it away. The coffee also tasted strange and tingled on the tongue as if the machine hadn't been cleaned in days. I still had the taste in my mouth half an hour later. Then the stirring stick was forgotten. 🤦🏼‍♂️ But I threw 20 napkins into the bag, completely excessive for two things. There needs to be a lot of work on the quality but I won't get involved anymore.

Long waiting time at the Dirve Inn, not enough change in the cash register, if you like change you should go there. Waited over 20 minutes for a Big Mac and Royal TS, that could be better.

Were there with 4 people. It was full there, no problem, we waited for about 45 minutes and then asked for our order and was told we didn't have it in the system. After waiting another 5 minutes, the receipt was taken and everything was packed up. It sometimes happens that you have to wait at the Mc drive. However, if there are only 3 cars in front of you, waiting over 20 minutes just feels like too long. But even if there was so much to do, which might have been possible in the restaurant, then the food you get shouldn't have been ready for so long that it was ready at home (travel time including a red light max. 2 minutes). ) is just about to get cold. The service was nice, the food was as cold as the weather. So it's a disgrace. Conclusion: Wait over 20 minutes even though the food was ready after 10 minutes.

The tray was practically thrown onto the table as we walked past. Big Morning Farmer served cold and then claimed it was always like that. Generally very unfriendly staff who are not customer oriented. Really a shame. Staff is folded to the loud strong by the leader. No idea what that's about.

Worst Mc Drive ever. Just had 2 cars in front of me and waited half an hour to be able to place the order. Other cars have already fled (as long as they got out of the queue). Then I waited another 20 minutes for the food (nuggets and hamburgers) so I could have driven to Haltern or Recklinghausen in that time and it would have been faster. It's still been there for months! the pickup monitor is broken. Why have numbers if you can't see when the order is ready. This results in more stress for employees. Ordering the same thing three times takes forever, totally rude when you ask. Because always three who came later got their order earlier. Apparently the order was swallowed in the system and then something is still missing. Never again.

So today was definitely my worst McDonald's experience. Ordered with the app and then had to wait 25 minutes on site. Pure chaos behind the counter. But 2 employees (obviously a couple) had time to exchange affection. A lady who was waiting with me was there 5 minutes earlier (we had enough time to exchange ideas) and was still standing when I was finished. When I got home, part of the order was missing and there was no option to complain about it in the app. Besides, everything that was there was already cold. So this branch saw me for the last time.

Definitely in the top 5 of the worst and dirtiest branches I have visited.

Otherwise, I was always very satisfied with this McDonald's, even if there were mix-ups or something was forgotten in my order, because the food was always warm and tasty. When it's busy, I understand such mistakes. But the last time I was there there was nothing going on, there were maybe 3 customers inside and 2 cars outside. And I was given cold, dried-out Plant McNuggets that tasted like they had been sitting out for hours. I ordered a large, therefore expensive pack. They didn't have the decency to give me new nuggets. Just because I don't eat meat, I don't want to be treated as a second-class customer. I'll think twice in the future about checking it out again after work. Very disappointing.

After the family voted democratically on where we wanted to get something to eat on a very harmonious Sunday, the final result of the election was unfortunately this fast food chain. Since there were several of us, the order (6 x menu + individual burgers) was in the higher final total range, unfortunately there was once again a difference between ordering and receiving the goods. A fries and a burger were missing. After a successful call saying I was already on my way to you, the friendly employee said it wouldn't be a problem and apologized for what had happened. So far so good....... Now this branch has shown why it is wrongly called fast food. I spoke up and asked for the missing food as well as an additional menu (which I immediately paid in cash) because a friend happened to come by at home when I was leaving and also felt a little hungry. The employee put the fries and the burger on the counter very quickly, She ignored my hint about the menu to expect. After about 40 minutes!!!! My order number was then called (the fries and the burger were always on the counter and the drivers checked every now and then to see if they were still part of your order...). I insisted on new dishes and got a second one for free. After 1 hour I was home, everyone had eaten, our friend had already left and I warmed up my food in the microwave..... THANK YOU SO MUCH McDonalds for that "Great" end to a harmonious Sunday If I'm going to McDonald's then I'm now going to another city as a Marler!

So today I was at the drive in with my son. I ordered a Happy Meal and redeemed my reward (large fries). If you want to redeem your points there I really want gold...NOT! Because you don't get the bonus and the points are still deducted. When I asked why that was the case and you didn't get the fries, they said, "That's right, bye..." I stopped and wanted to know what that was about? I then got a small fry (600 reward points were deducted for a large fry!) and she said "There's what you want, bye!!!" But so cheeky and everything was cold and the cheeseburger in the Happy Meal looked like it had been served during an earthquake and thrown against the wall beforehand. It doesn't work at all. The woman also got the code from me specifically for the reward and she accepted it correctly and repeated it on the intercom. It's just a reminder in case something goes wrong with you and you don't get your rewards but the points are still gone .. that's great... and great. Not.

I don't feel like waiting for over an hour. If I had ordered pizza then I wouldn't have starved ☹️

I ordered today at 9:50 p.m., quite late but orders are accepted until 10 p.m. I myself was just home from work. A very unfriendly and unmotivated delivery person came with the order and asked me why I was ordering so late. That doesn't work at all! If you don't want orders that late, you only have to accept orders at Lieferando until 9 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. This is a customer-facing job and if you don't have the ability to be nice (I would have understood if I had been unfriendly, but I wouldn't dream of being unfriendly to a delivery person unless he comes to me stupid) then maybe you should do another job. It's an absolute disgrace to treat customers like this, but unfortunately this is not an isolated case at this McDonald's. You should definitely avoid this branch.

Very long waiting times regardless of the number of guests or length at McDrive. Inside it looks a bit like a warehouse due to the numerous Lieferando backpacks lying on the floor. Food at McDrive is often cold.

We just wanted to eat ice cream, the woman who was working on November 6th, 2024 was really grumpy and wanted to call the police because we were laughing??!! The next day we all have a terrible stomach ache because of the ice cream! It would be a case for the health department.

It feels like it takes 20 years to get your order. No matter whether you just order ice cream or a menu. A waiting time of 20 minutes is pre-programmed.

Our order was placed at the drive-thru. Unfortunately, like two customers before us, we had to wait a relatively long time; a burger was forgotten and another burger looked as if it had been taken on a rollercoaster ride. Unfortunately, not for the first time... Due to the manageable number of customers in the restaurant and drive-in, there was not a heavy rush. The service can therefore still be expanded.

So if you like cold and thrown away food, this is definitely the right place for you, as is the very bad, ignorant staff!

We were there at 12:10 a.m. today and wanted to go in. It was just the drive open, it was finally our turn at 12:49. The burgers and fries were cold and there were no napkins in the bag and some mayo was missing.. Naaaja

Typical McDonalds. Burgers are good, as are fries. You can't go wrong with drinks. Ice cream tastes good too. It's a fast food shop, you shouldn't forget that. The employees are like 50/50. Some are super friendly, some you don't understand and some aren't really nice. Ambience is also ok. Unfortunately it's not the most modern, but we still enjoy going there again and again.

At 11:20 and the employees with short hair tell us no!!! You have to eat outside. And in Google it says Open until 12 p.m. Very antipathetic and it's not the first time that these employees are always antipathetic, and fries are given directly in the hand and not even on the tute.
