McDonald's in Neustadt in Holstein

Unfortunately, I have to give at least one star – but this McDonald's branch in Neustadt in Holstein doesn't even deserve that. What my family and I experienced here on May 13, 2025, was almost beyond compare in terms of disgust, disrespect, and absolute incompetence. After a great day at Hansa Park, we wanted to end the evening relaxing with our children (2 and 6 years old). Instead, we found conditions here that are hard to imagine – and that other guests apparently also experience regularly, judging by the countless miserable reviews here. ➡ Tables dirty, sticky, and littered with trash ➡ Overflowing tray carts, overflowing trash cans ➡ Restrooms an absolute no-go: the stench of urine, dirty bowls, disgusting mirrors – hygienic conditions that take your breath away. The smell was so pungent that it was almost unbearable. We were actually about to leave, but our children's desire for a Happy Meal made us stay. Unfortunately, a mistake: ❌ Over 20 minutes of waiting time ❌ Cold, carelessly slapped-down food ❌ Drinks that tasted like stale water ❌ Complaints were dismissed by employees The climax was an employee (a southern type, slicked-back hair) who condescendingly mocked my wife with, "Any more special requests?!" when she asked for less ice in her drink. I also had to ask for my McChicken after 40 minutes (!!) – no insight, no apology, just rude answers like, "It's your problem if you don't order correctly." Conclusion: This branch is the epitome of ignorance, disgust, and contempt for customers. It's absolutely disgraceful how paying customers – including children! – are treated here. And when you read the many other Google reviews with photos of dirty toilets, old food leftovers, and disrespectful staff, it becomes clear: This isn't a slip-up, but a permanent condition. My honest advice: If you don't want to spoil your and your family's appetite, steer clear of this store. The management either seems unconcerned about the conditions – or they're deliberately turning a blind eye. 👉 Warning to all Hansa Park visitors: Go somewhere else. This branch is a disgrace.

Friendly welcome, young team with a friendly demeanor! The occasional mistake with a larger order shouldn't be a problem for anyone, and the somewhat awkward/uncertain manner in direct customer contact (after ordering) is something that will surely soon disappear. Top-notch staff, clean store, burgers could be made a little more precisely according to the pattern, but when things are hectic, they are hectic. Thanks to the team.

Very nice, seemingly relatively new McDonalds. Very nicely designed. Nice employees. Food was at the table very quickly. There is plenty of parking space in front of the door. Even 2 e-charging stations. We'd be happy to come back when we're on vacation.

Unfortunately not, I've been coming for breakfast for days. I always ordered at the cash register because, at over 70, I don't want to deal with the terminal. Starting today, that's no longer possible. Reason: we're not allowed to. Probably the only McDonald's in Germany that refuses service for this reason. I wouldn't recommend it, it's too unfriendly.

Employees incompetent. Order always wrong

The restaurant was very nicely equipped, especially for children, the tablets at the extra table were great. One point deducted from the ambience because of the toilets. You should check it more often.

Food is what you'd expect at a McDonalds, but still a great place to have fun with your friends in the winter.

We were in the restaurant today and dared to order a cheeseburger at the desk - the little woman with glasses and a headset said we should order on the computer - even though half of the employees had nothing to do. She was extremely unfriendly and indifferent. It must be up to us as customers where and how we order our food. P.S. If everyone only orders on the computer, then half of you will soon no longer have a job.

Well, that's a fastfood, You know, but the crew is very friendly and ready to help! And cheesburger tastes great, they even put 3 slices of cucumber, not 2 as usually;)

Really crappy shop... I saw burgers fall on the floor and then be re-wrapped. Put them in the bag and hand them over to the customer on the drive. I then canceled my order and left. Customers behind us too. I will never set foot in a McDonalds or Burger King again.

Hello .*** MICK *** visited MC Donalds. Opens daily at 9am and toilets are also available, clean and tidy. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer, but usually your turn comes quickly. Because it is very well attended and the kids get something in their big bag for a certain menu, for example a toy or a large balloon. Seating is also available outside available. Fun for young and old. There is something for everyone, no wish remains unfulfilled. I can only do McDonald's recommend . Very popular with locals and tourists and the kids have fun. Unfortunately half of it was forgotten when ordering. The rest was cold and not really fresh. Clearly too expensive for the price paid. I must also mention that this experience is not an isolated case today. The last few times, missing products/sauces and food that was no longer completely fresh were the norm.

Not only not recommended, I would advise anyone not to buy from here. If you do, be sure to check your order. We had to specifically ask about the toy from the Happy Meal. Afterwards it was noticed that no sauces or mayo were packed. So we went straight back in and complained about it. At first I wasn't paid any attention at all. After I drew attention to myself, the sauces and mayo were given without saying a word. No apology or anything like that, no farewell, completely silent. The gentleman at the drive in also spoke German poorly, but at least he tried. Unfortunately, it now happens too often that orders are incomplete, so we will avoid this branch.

On Wednesday October 2nd, 2024 we wanted to get something to eat at McDonald's in the evening. When we stood in front of the closed doors at 10:53 p.m., we thought something must be wrong, there were people in the store, ordering, eating and drinking. Even people who wanted to leave the store were taken aback because they couldn't leave the store because it was locked. When an employee noticed that customers were leaving the store, he unlocked the door, let them out and told those standing outside that the store was closed due to overcrowding. It has to be said that the store was not full. Then we ordered via the app and wanted to pick it up in the drive, only to be told that the checkout apparently wouldn't work. So we went without food. Last but not least, you have to say that if McDonald's Neustadt in Holstein doesn't want any customers, then you simply lock the store from the inside.

So I went to get food with my friends, my friend and I ordered together, we were given our order, left. Only to realise that we are both missing one item from our order, we came back. Without a word the rest of it was given to us after stating what was missing, we later realised that I'm missing my soft drink, my chilli cheese burger was packed in a chicken burger wrapper, we were missing all of our sauces. Overall tragic experience, the workers seem to have no idea what they are doing and seem to be completely lost, also not the first time I've had something missing from my order or made wrong

Cold hamburger and not tasty drink

We were here on Sunday evening and paid just under €100 for about 10 people (including children). It was very busy, so it was understandable that orders took a little longer. However, it took 30 minutes to receive part of my order. The remaining dishes came after another 20 minutes. In total we waited 50 minutes for the food, which was fine. Conclusion: if it looks reasonably crowded, give it a wide berth.

I made the mistake again and didn't check my order. Again (paid!) items were missing. This time apples and a gift from the Happy Meal. The question arises as to whether your employees are so incapable of packing an order, or whether they now have a system that means they simply don't pack the items? This is how you can maximize sales...

Clean McDonalds. Food came quickly and was OK

We were in the area on holiday and visited this McDonald's branch for the first time. We had just made it to breakfast and enjoyed an EggMcMuffin, a Franzbrötchen and a mega-sized cappuccino. Everything excellent! Afterwards we redeemed an APP coupon and treated ourselves to two Filet-o-Fish. And I can say that these were by far the best meals my wife and I have ever eaten at McDonald's! Lots of tartar sauce on it, but above all a CRISPY, but not dark brown, baked fish fillet. Just P-E-R-F-E-K-T!!!

To take away you could have used a sensible bag instead of stuffing everything into the smallest size...

It's become a bit too expensive for a big bacon that costs over 8 euros. And not even as a menu.

It's McD and my first review of it. Initially put off by the rating, we were pleasantly surprised. Modern ambience, flowers on the table - of course artificial ones but the overall impression was harmonious. There was a lot going on and we didn't wait long; food was brought to the table. The toilets were fine in the evening.

Rarely have I met such friendly employees at McDonald's.

Were here on a beautiful summer day around 7 p.m., meaning it was very busy because of Hansa Park and the beach. Although the employees had to work piecework and some guests had no understanding because of the waiting time, the employees were always friendly and smiling. The order went smoothly, everything was done correctly and there was no problem when my daughter wanted to swap her Happy Meal toy. Everything was still very clean and tidy. We will definitely come back again.

Sticky tables, the sockets for charging smartphones, for example, didn't work. BUT, the friendliness and attentiveness of the employees stands out, respect, a functioning team with good leadership.

The food was brought to the table quickly and it was really tasty! The ice cream was also great. I will gladly come again.

Hello, We ordered 3 Mc Flurry and a frappe, the result leaves some flaws. The Mc Flurries all had three Oreos, two of them normal, one with the measly remnants of the packaging. The frappe was made with ice cubes instead of crushed ice. Hardly drinkable. We have eaten there several times, but this time we were really disappointed.

Visiting this McDonald's was a bitter disappointment. The staff at the checkout greeted me with extreme unfriendliness and complete helplessness. My questions were met with annoyed looks and my request seemed annoying. As a paying customer, I expect at least a minimum level of politeness and service. This experience was less than satisfactory and will deter me from future visits.

Unfortunately, the products have not justified the completely exorbitant prices for many years, but yesterday was really cheeky. The simple hamburger only had everything on it that was supposed to be on it, the rest was a disaster. Ingredients were either too few or left out entirely, but the Double Big Mac took the cake. It may be that it was meant nicely, instead of four meat parties, to pack six parties in between. Unfortunately, apart from three cucumber slices, all the ingredients that were missing from the rest of the order were missing. I would have put that down to a bad Monday, but putting the burgers like books in the bag with the cardboard opening facing down so that everything ends up in the bag when you take it out was a cheek. We got four burgers + curly nasty for around €34, but for that money we'll be going to Greek restaurants etc. for a very long time now.

Short visit to Mc D. in the drive in. Apparently there was a lot to do at the moment, so I would like to highlight the particularly nice service person Sam. He was really friendly and accommodating, even when it came to choosing the animals for the junior bag. I asked the colleague at the serving window for his name and hope Sam was correct. Nice, competent man helped me patiently

unpleasant, we were there on Saturday evening. There were flies all over the restaurant. The flies even disturbed us when we were eating. Toilets had no soap and paper dispensers were empty. We won't visit again. I thought the McDonald's in Oldenburg was bad, but this experience surpasses everything.

Unfortunately, you can only order from the machine in this branch. Employees do not accept personal orders. You will be directed to the machines. In other branches such as Eckernförde you can also order directly from the staff.

Absolutely NOT recommended!! Customers can ONLY order from the machine. The service staff is nice, but doesn't take orders and kindly points out the franchisee's policy. This is the height of “I just want your money” politics. Unfortunately the store still gets one star, no stars at all would be appropriate for this audacity. Hope you avoid the store until the ordering policy is changed.

I'll be avoiding it soon, got a burger to take away yesterday (1,000 points redeemed). When I got home and wanted to eat it in peace, I realized that the meat was missing... if the tomato, cucumber or cheese was forgotten...okay, but the meat??

I ordered an MC menu + Coca-Cola glass here today on May 14th, 2023. The glass was there in the order terminal, but was not given. I only noticed it in the car because it was already in the bag. As for the food, the fries were once again only lukewarm. I can't say anything about the ambience since I always eat out.

Everything was as it should be, quickly and efficiently

Very fast and extremely friendly service, unfortunately not found in every McDonald's. But all thumbs up here. Food also correct despite some changes. Other toys for the kids are also possible without any problems
