For the first time, I experienced friendly service at a McDonald's. Very friendly, I'd love to go again.

It doesn't smell like McDonald's, it actually stinks of something. I've never been disgusted by the smell of McDonald's. My cheeseburger was so greasy that my burger bun was completely covered in oil. Something needs to be done about this. Sorry!

Don't go to the drive-thru!!! Despite two ordering terminals, it's already taken 25 minutes to place my order.

We rarely go to McDonald's and can only rate this one out of three or four. But now I'm writing a review. The numbers on the display board were completely mixed up, and suddenly our number disappeared completely... after waiting half an hour (!!!!). Yes, it was quite busy and mistakes can happen, but they didn't get it right and weren't friendly either. No... McDonald's Hilden is no longer there.

This stupid box has to go, and it's annoying drivers; you can't get close enough to it. Before you drive to this McDrive, you think twice about damaging your car... I'm surprised the boss hasn't noticed yet. I personally told employees about it, and they just waved me off and told me to report it to the Munich branch. What nonsense. If you agree, please give it a thumbs up.

We've been coming here for a long time, especially with the kids, and everything used to be really great—both the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Unfortunately, things have been declining a bit recently. The food sometimes seems less fresh, and the hygiene in the dining room could also be better. That's a shame, because a clean environment is very important, especially for families. We hope things improve soon, because the location actually has a lot of potential, and we would like to continue coming here.

An absolutely disappointing experience at McDonald's today! I was at the Drive-In and had to wait in my car for over 15 minutes – just to be allowed to order. This is completely unacceptable. This location is obviously extremely poorly organized and severely understaffed. It's unacceptable that customers have to wait so long just because they're understaffed. This is a clear indication of management failure. For a globally recognized brand like McDonald's, this kind of service is an absolute no-go. I will definitely avoid this location in the future.

I'm already standing at the counter 20 minutes after ordering, waiting for a hamburger, a fish fillet, and a cappuccino! It doesn't have much to do with a fast-food restaurant!

I would give it 0 stars if I could. I've never experienced such a dirty and incompetent branch of this chain. Trash is piled up in every corner, and looking into the filthy kitchen, I would have preferred to leave the food there if I hadn't already paid for it. I'm considering notifying the health department! All ordering terminals are broken, so ordering is only possible at the drive-thru. The sign is illegible. You're better off going to another branch and avoiding this crappy place (in the truest sense of the word).

We waited 45 minutes for our order at 11:30 p.m.

We drove there at night from Cologne airport on the way home because we were obviously still hungry. I have never seen anything as disgusting as that place. As soon as I walked in I thought, ugh, how disgusting this place is. You could also look into the kitchen and everything was filthy. It was 3:20 a.m. and there was nothing going on - they're open until 5 a.m. in the middle of the week! How can it be so dirty there at that time of night? I don't understand how it can be so difficult to keep your workplace clean. Sure, you can drop something and make a mess, but not like that. I'm attaching a few pictures.

No joke, you don't have any questions. You don't need to say anything else. Quality management?? You probably think this is a city in Argentina...

Absolutely disgusting, what's going on here. They should make sure the kitchen and guest areas are clean—especially when the customer can see into the kitchen. Attached are a few pictures.

Food was okay. The outside and inside areas were full of trash. Dirty tables. Staff were asked to wipe the table, but to no avail. Wiped the table myself.

I ordered a happy meal and did not get a surprise... And the fries were not fully baked. There was a lot of garbage on the tables.

Too many orders are a disaster. I waited over an hour for one mc smart meal and a turkey case. The staff were probably simply overwhelmed. At least 20 people who ordered with us had already left.

The dirtiest and most disgusting McDonald's I've ever seen. The burgers were cold and not even properly wrapped. The cheese wasn't melted. The nuggets and fries were cold. Upon request, the waitress brought out a new burger, but it was also cold and the cheese wasn't melted. They said, "What can we do? We don't have enough employees." There were tablets and trash everywhere. The tablet rack wasn't even cleaned or emptied. The tables were also dirty. And there were no toys left for the kids—to go with their Happy Meals.

The opening hours are completely inaccurate. Supposedly open until 5:00 a.m., but I arrived shortly after 1:00 a.m. and it was closed.

Ordered through the app at midnight, drove 5 km there, and was then turned away. Absolutely disgusting. They can't manage to set everything up properly online! Never again...

Very nice location. There is parking space. The store is very spacious. Very close to the highway. On the edge of the city.

The McDrive in Hilden is the worst thing that can happen to you. They could have cooked an entire five-course meal in that wait. I've been standing in line for 45 minutes and I still haven't gotten my turn.

Once again, there are long lines and 20- to 30-minute waits at the Mc Drive. What's going on with you guys?

Waited 30 minutes in the car line. The app code couldn't be scanned at the checkout, so no points. The manager in the lobby just said, "Well, sorry." I could have just added it later. Disappointing.

Very dirty toilet. It is impossible to describe the mess and stench. It was cleaned probably once a week. I am sorry, but it was impossible to take over the toilet door, let alone sit down. After all, toilets are an important part of every restaurant. Disaster

Worst McDonald's I've ever seen! Absolutely filthy and so uncomfortable! The entire staff is unfriendly and so incompetent; I've never experienced anything like it! The food was absolutely terrible; it was served cold and it took forever to even get your order! I would never go there again!

When I ordered 15 items multiple times over three months, whether at the drive-thru or in the restaurant, every order contained at least one incorrect item or was missing entirely. Often, I wasn't treated very politely when ordering. Talking to colleagues was more important. When it came to complaints, the politeness disappeared completely. The food was usually lukewarm, and the product I complained about, usually a hot dish, was then received cold without any comment.

We placed an order for 12 people, which cost €138.83. It was supposed to take an hour, but we waited over an hour, and then a McFlurry with chocolate sauce and Smarties was missing. We then called them to have the problem rectified. The man on the phone was extremely rude and simply hung up after we asked what he had said, as his speech was very unclear. He didn't even answer the phone when we called again. He was also rude to other people and hung up pretty quickly for no reason, even when we tried to explain. He didn't want to listen or listen to reason, and even threatened to file a complaint several times. A few of us then drove there to get the ice cream. They even brought it out for free, but the whole process was so exhausting and unnecessary. It really could have been avoided.

Worst burger we've ever eaten at McDonald's. That was the first and last time.

Unfortunately, only 3 of the 7 items were delivered, even though all were correctly listed on the receipt. They then yelled at me on the phone that it was Uber's fault, which isn't true, since Uber doesn't pack McDonald's packages, but McDonald's staff does.

I've never eaten such bad burgers as these. Even though they were freshly prepared, they were flavorless, dry, and had a strange taste.

After Japan Day, we stopped by this McDonald's for a quick visit. I've experienced a lot, but this was a real disaster. Completely overwhelmed staff, the right hand literally didn't know what the left was doing. They simply couldn't keep up with the orders, although I must say they tried, but it didn't work at all. I only wanted a simple McDonald's menu, which, strangely enough, kept disappearing from the screen and then disappeared completely. After a second order, it finally worked after 40 minutes. But what I witnessed during that time really spoiled my appetite. In the kitchen, which was visible from my vantage point, food was flying all over the floor, and cups that had fallen from the filling station on the floor were simply put back. The entire store, tables, floor, and restrooms left a lot to be desired in terms of hygiene, so I was truly shocked.

Many had the same problem as me: The number was on the board, but disappeared after a while, so you waited almost half an hour, and many receipts were incomplete, and many receipts with the number were simply thrown away or tossed on the floor. Additionally, the kitchen was chaotic and cluttered, as was the kitchen floor. In the end, it was a terrible day/visit.

Waited 60 minutes for the food... CATASTROPHE!!! Staff completely overwhelmed! Something needs to change urgently!

And again, I didn't get everything. You really have to check and unpack everything there; something's always missing. This McDonald's is out for me.

A lot has to happen before I complain or write a meter-long review—but this has to come out now. My visit to this branch made it easy for me to finally decide to stay well away from McDonald's in the future. It has nothing to do with "fast" food or service—I simply ordered two ice creams and a hamburger (although the ordering process takes a long time, just because of the poorly functioning touchscreen—and there are so many buttons—in that time, before the introduction of ordering machines, you would have waited in line, ordered, paid, received the order, and probably already eaten the "food"). We waited 19 minutes from the time the order was printed to the time it was handed out!!!! Any pizzeria is faster. When we asked how long it would take, we were told in a contemptuous tone, "It will take as long as it takes." Another lesson learned. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked for the manager and wanted to cancel my order due to time constraints (which is why we chose fast food) and get my money back. Our order was immediately "expedited." My request to speak to the manager was ignored. The elderly lady who then assembled the three items reminded me of the movements of a sloth. To top it all off, the hamburger was almost cold, and the ice cream was warm, or even liquid. I wonder how that's possible when everything is prepared "fresh." I considered complaining, but decided against it; I had to get up early the next day. As a side story: While we were waiting, a customer came in and even dared to ask why he had been waiting 35 minutes!!! for his food. He received the standard answer: "It's taking a while, it'll be right there." Another customer ordered food "to go" and was served his food on a tray. The customer complained about the mistake, and instead of accommodating him, a paper bag was thrown at him according to the rules, "...to pack his own food." However, another server then packed it after the customer complained. I've rarely encountered such rudeness and unfriendliness. He should have done that to me—I would have thrown the food, including the tray, at him. Never say never—but this was definitely my last visit—at least not to this, additionally dirty (in the sense of "unclean"), branch. In the future: Burger King, my way!!!

So, unfortunately, there's no way to pop to McDonald's here. Today I waited a full 25 minutes for my order. It's a shame.

I forgot the toy with two Happy Meals, the sweet and sour sauce I ordered was not included with one chicken nugget and the Fanta tasted almost exclusively of water. What a bad experience at McDonald's... Very, very unfortunate!

We've been waiting for our food for 50 minutes. Behind the counter, the people seem like they come from the Klötzchen school. Incredible !!!

I ordered a Big Tasty Bacon to take away. At home I received the surprise. Not the light sauce but BBQ. Was super disappointed!! The fries taste like they've been in the packaging for 5 hours. I won't come to this McDonald's anymore. Just been there for the last time. It was a similar case a few weeks ago!!

We where at night when when we came from the airport with our kids. I have never seen sutch a mess in a MC Donalds. The toilets where very dirty, also the kitchen, a lot of food on the ground and even the food was a mess. Saus al over the burgers and in the boxes and cold fries. Not again!

Ordered food to the parking lot using the app. Waited a full 40 minutes for 3 burgers and was insulted by the annoyed employees when I asked. Even after 40 minutes we still managed to get the food out cold

Wait 45 minutes for 2 burgers and nuggets. After the first inquiry (after 25 minutes) we were simply left standing there. After another 20 minutes we asked again. Unfortunately we had already paid via Paypal, otherwise we would have just left. When we asked again we were just insulted. It was only when I became unfriendly and demanded that the shift manager finally brought us the food, which was completely cold. Sorry never again.

I actually thought that you can't go wrong with McDonald's burgers because you know what you're getting. Big mistake and the “ambience” around it is even worse. Never seen such a dirty shop. So the food was completely cold and the fries were soggy. We didn't complain because we didn't want to stay there any longer than necessary. Hire more people and pay them decently so that they can do their jobs properly! There was rubbish flying everywhere and the tables weren't wiped down once. The cushions on the furniture outside smelled awfully, oh I don't even want to go into detail here. You really lose your appetite... and then you end up with cold, mushy food. And maybe a word to some guests: if you drop something, you can definitely pick it up again!!! If something tips over you can let us know and children don't have to jump over tables and benches, that's what the playground is for!!! Yesterday was a very special experience.

Now it's no longer the service you're used to. The orders are not being delivered correctly. Most of the time, many items that were ordered are missing from Mc Drive. Too bad!

I had a job interview at the branch in Hilden and was immediately rejected because of my stubble - despite three years of experience at McDonald's and an excellent job reference. The treatment was absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. When I politely commented that there are beard nets, I was simply dismissed and the conversation ended after less than three minutes. Here it is not people and their qualifications that are considered, but rather superficial appearances. The behavior in this branch is scandalous and shows how little value is placed on employees and their experiences. Absolutely disappointing!

Biggest Juice Shop!!! You drive there from Langenfeld at 4 a.m. and even though it's open, you get to the Mcdrive and it's temporarily blocked by a delivery vehicle and you go in and then all the terminals are out of order. I asked an employee what was going on and she told me that they had a shortage of employees and that's why they were finishing work early because otherwise they wouldn't be able to do the cleaning, bottomless impudence!! I explained to her that I drove there for about 15 minutes and she said she couldn't do anything even though it was officially open?!

No! For the third time in a row we wait 20 minutes at the drive in because nothing is going on! Everyone seems completely overwhelmed and there is chaos inside! Everything is totally poorly organized!!

Well, just a typical McDonald's, unfortunately, something is sometimes missing from the drive-thru order. The burgers are often lukewarm and the fries are oversalted. Many familiar faces are unfortunately gone. But for a burger every now and then, it's okay.

If a subject is too old, you should think about it differently

Ordered at 7:06 p.m. at table 6. After 20 minutes I asked when the food would come. After discussions with several employees, the answer was “coming soon”. After 30 minutes the food finally arrived, unfortunately the burger and fries were completely cold. After complaining and asking for the food to be remade again. If I'm going to wait 30 minutes, at least the food shouldn't be cold. After another 10 minutes the “new” food arrived. Unfortunately, the old fries had apparently just been warmed up and were correspondingly soggy. No idea how to become a Seed of Excellence Store!? Well, at least a McFlurry was offered as compensation, but it was enough for me and I politely declined.

The bathrooms are incredibly dirty and the walls and floors in the eating area are smeared.

I wanted to get a reusable coffee cup from McCafé. At the McCafé, she was told she wasn't allowed to fill the cup (okay, I'll accept that for hygiene reasons) and should use a disposable cup instead. When I pointed out that she should use a cup and I'd fill it myself, she just said, "Then we'd have to wash it!" So it's better to produce waste!! The coffee I received didn't come from the McCafé's portafilter machine, but from the simple coffee maker in the kitchen. The only positive thing about the visit was that she was friendly.

I find this one quite slow for a McDonald's. Since the renovations, you have to search for the cash register, and the last time you visited, the restrooms were worse than those in a train station. Despite notifying them, no one has fixed it. But the outdoor area is nice, as long as the slide isn't closed again 😅

Today, March 9th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., I was in your restaurant. I ordered a lot of food and had some medicine with me that I had to dissolve in an empty glass and stir. That's why I asked for an empty glass at the MC Café. But the woman who works there and makes the coffee refused me this glass. My God, it was just an empty glass! I ask McDonald's management to speak to this employee. Her behavior was simply outrageous and inappropriate.

Once again part of the order was missing. Menu without fries.

The classic, order at the drive-in not complete. A little tip: just put people at the drive-in switch who speak German and can't just say hello! And the food looked like the one from the day before. Slowly but surely you should be ashamed of yourself, especially in Hilden.

Extremely full and the fact that there are no longer any good cash registers is totally annoying. The bacteria also had no interest in typing around panels. And waiting until it's your turn after ages.

I will never order from them again, apparently my name wasn't on the bell 😂 I immediately got my money back from PayPal. I don't recommend ordering from Lieferando.
