McDonald's in Hilden

A lot has to happen before I complain or write a meter-long review—but this has to come out now. My visit to this branch made it easy for me to finally decide to stay well away from McDonald's in the future. It has nothing to do with "fast" food or service—I simply ordered two ice creams and a hamburger (although the ordering process takes a long time, just because of the poorly functioning touchscreen—and there are so many buttons—in that time, before the introduction of ordering machines, you would have waited in line, ordered, paid, received the order, and probably already eaten the "food"). We waited 19 minutes from the time the order was printed to the time it was handed out!!!! Any pizzeria is faster. When we asked how long it would take, we were told in a contemptuous tone, "It will take as long as it takes." Another lesson learned. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked for the manager and wanted to cancel my order due to time constraints (which is why we chose fast food) and get my money back. Our order was immediately "expedited." My request to speak to the manager was ignored. The elderly lady who then assembled the three items reminded me of the movements of a sloth. To top it all off, the hamburger was almost cold, and the ice cream was warm, or even liquid. I wonder how that's possible when everything is prepared "fresh." I considered complaining, but decided against it; I had to get up early the next day. As a side story: While we were waiting, a customer came in and even dared to ask why he had been waiting 35 minutes!!! for his food. He received the standard answer: "It's taking a while, it'll be right there." Another customer ordered food "to go" and was served his food on a tray. The customer complained about the mistake, and instead of accommodating him, a paper bag was thrown at him according to the rules, "...to pack his own food." However, another server then packed it after the customer complained. I've rarely encountered such rudeness and unfriendliness. He should have done that to me—I would have thrown the food, including the tray, at him. Never say never—but this was definitely my last visit—at least not to this, additionally dirty (in the sense of "unclean"), branch. In the future: Burger King, my way!!!

So, unfortunately, there's no way to pop to McDonald's here. Today I waited a full 25 minutes for my order. It's a shame.

I forgot the toy with two Happy Meals, the sweet and sour sauce I ordered was not included with one chicken nugget and the Fanta tasted almost exclusively of water. What a bad experience at McDonald's... Very, very unfortunate!

We've been waiting for our food for 50 minutes. Behind the counter, the people seem like they come from the Klötzchen school. Incredible !!!

I ordered a Big Tasty Bacon to take away. At home I received the surprise. Not the light sauce but BBQ. Was super disappointed!! The fries taste like they've been in the packaging for 5 hours. I won't come to this McDonald's anymore. Just been there for the last time. It was a similar case a few weeks ago!!

We where at night when when we came from the airport with our kids. I have never seen sutch a mess in a MC Donalds. The toilets where very dirty, also the kitchen, a lot of food on the ground and even the food was a mess. Saus al over the burgers and in the boxes and cold fries. Not again!

Ordered food to the parking lot using the app. Waited a full 40 minutes for 3 burgers and was insulted by the annoyed employees when I asked. Even after 40 minutes we still managed to get the food out cold

Wait 45 minutes for 2 burgers and nuggets. After the first inquiry (after 25 minutes) we were simply left standing there. After another 20 minutes we asked again. Unfortunately we had already paid via Paypal, otherwise we would have just left. When we asked again we were just insulted. It was only when I became unfriendly and demanded that the shift manager finally brought us the food, which was completely cold. Sorry never again.

I actually thought that you can't go wrong with McDonald's burgers because you know what you're getting. Big mistake and the “ambience” around it is even worse. Never seen such a dirty shop. So the food was completely cold and the fries were soggy. We didn't complain because we didn't want to stay there any longer than necessary. Hire more people and pay them decently so that they can do their jobs properly! There was rubbish flying everywhere and the tables weren't wiped down once. The cushions on the furniture outside smelled awfully, oh I don't even want to go into detail here. You really lose your appetite... and then you end up with cold, mushy food. And maybe a word to some guests: if you drop something, you can definitely pick it up again!!! If something tips over you can let us know and children don't have to jump over tables and benches, that's what the playground is for!!! Yesterday was a very special experience.

Never eaten or drank so badly at MCD. Over €28 for the bin.

Absolute impudence! You can only get these menus in which there are 2 burgers if you have the McDonald app. Outrageous, people without a cell phone or app are disadvantaged! Find out today

Now it's no longer the service you're used to. The orders are not being delivered correctly. Most of the time, many items that were ordered are missing from Mc Drive. Too bad!

I had a job interview at the branch in Hilden and was immediately rejected because of my stubble - despite three years of experience at McDonald's and an excellent job reference. The treatment was absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. When I politely commented that there are beard nets, I was simply dismissed and the conversation ended after less than three minutes. Here it is not people and their qualifications that are considered, but rather superficial appearances. The behavior in this branch is scandalous and shows how little value is placed on employees and their experiences. Absolutely disappointing!

Biggest Juice Shop!!! You drive there from Langenfeld at 4 a.m. and even though it's open, you get to the Mcdrive and it's temporarily blocked by a delivery vehicle and you go in and then all the terminals are out of order. I asked an employee what was going on and she told me that they had a shortage of employees and that's why they were finishing work early because otherwise they wouldn't be able to do the cleaning, bottomless impudence!! I explained to her that I drove there for about 15 minutes and she said she couldn't do anything even though it was officially open?!

No! For the third time in a row we wait 20 minutes at the drive in because nothing is going on! Everyone seems completely overwhelmed and there is chaos inside! Everything is totally poorly organized!!

Disgusting. Always stomach pain afterwards and diarrhea. This can not only be unhealthy, but harmful to the body!

I find it very dirty: tables and floors are hardly cleaned.

Ordered food at the terminal, no special order or anything similar. It took quite a long time for the food to arrive.

For months you haven't gotten what you ordered, and when you ask they don't understand you or become unfriendly. I don't know where to complain higher up.

Well, just a typical McDonald's, unfortunately, something is sometimes missing from the drive-thru order. The burgers are often lukewarm and the fries are oversalted. Many familiar faces are unfortunately gone. But for a burger every now and then, it's okay.

If a subject is too old, you should think about it differently

Ordered at 7:06 p.m. at table 6. After 20 minutes I asked when the food would come. After discussions with several employees, the answer was “coming soon”. After 30 minutes the food finally arrived, unfortunately the burger and fries were completely cold. After complaining and asking for the food to be remade again. If I'm going to wait 30 minutes, at least the food shouldn't be cold. After another 10 minutes the “new” food arrived. Unfortunately, the old fries had apparently just been warmed up and were correspondingly soggy. No idea how to become a Seed of Excellence Store!? Well, at least a McFlurry was offered as compensation, but it was enough for me and I politely declined.

The bathrooms are incredibly dirty and the walls and floors in the eating area are smeared.

I wanted to get a reusable coffee cup from McCafé. At the McCafé, she was told she wasn't allowed to fill the cup (okay, I'll accept that for hygiene reasons) and should use a disposable cup instead. When I pointed out that she should use a cup and I'd fill it myself, she just said, "Then we'd have to wash it!" So it's better to produce waste!! The coffee I received didn't come from the McCafé's portafilter machine, but from the simple coffee maker in the kitchen. The only positive thing about the visit was that she was friendly.

I find this one quite slow for a McDonald's. Since the renovations, you have to search for the cash register, and the last time you visited, the restrooms were worse than those in a train station. Despite notifying them, no one has fixed it. But the outdoor area is nice, as long as the slide isn't closed again 😅

Today, March 9th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., I was in your restaurant. I ordered a lot of food and had some medicine with me that I had to dissolve in an empty glass and stir. That's why I asked for an empty glass at the MC Café. But the woman who works there and makes the coffee refused me this glass. My God, it was just an empty glass! I ask McDonald's management to speak to this employee. Her behavior was simply outrageous and inappropriate.

Once again part of the order was missing. Menu without fries.

The classic, order at the drive-in not complete. A little tip: just put people at the drive-in switch who speak German and can't just say hello! And the food looked like the one from the day before. Slowly but surely you should be ashamed of yourself, especially in Hilden.

McDonald's you like it or you don't and it's still usually full.

The burgers are fresh, still warm. The staff seems stressed, which means the condition of the restaurant is suffering somewhat. I would find it pleasant if the trash were removed from the tables and wiped down more often

I will never order from them again, apparently my name wasn't on the bell 😂 I immediately got my money back from PayPal. I don't recommend ordering from Lieferando.

Greetings to the shift manager from this evening, February 16th, after the second complaint, the fries were also missing for being so unfriendly 1 star :)

Extremely full and the fact that there are no longer any good cash registers is totally annoying. The bacteria also had no interest in typing around panels. And waiting until it's your turn after ages.

1 out of 6 orders in the last 4 years are missing some item. Either the fries are forgotten or additional orders like extra bacon, extra patty. A burger is rarely missing.

I waited 35 minutes for my order, plus the manager insisted that my order had already been issued. I have never experienced such incompetence at McDonald's. I also received my menu without a drink or sauces, which I had to specifically ask for. I wouldn't have given a negative review but the manager proved to be ignorant.

Fries are cold and patties are bone dry, the nuggets somehow only consist of soft meat. But the scariest thing are the toilets, they're really nasty. I have no idea when it was last cleaned. After using the door handles, you immediately want to wash your hands again. Disgusting.

The branch was already closed, despite opening until 9 p.m. This was also noted on the door. Food and drinks only on MC Drive. Everything was way too hectic and not the usual McDonald’s service. Food drinks top service still has some room for improvement.

Home delivery is advertised everywhere, but nowhere is it great

Almost all of the staff don't want to work, you can throw them in the bin. Every time something is missing when you open the order at home

This is the dirtiest McDonald's I've ever seen, all the tables full of tablets with trash, trash on the floor everywhere under the tables, the table surfaces covered in soap, chairs and benches too... the drop off shelf was overflowing, the kitchen area was dirty! Fries were expired, burgers were ok. Visiting time was 2 a.m. Saturday morning. The store was completely understaffed!!! The employees were still friendly and just moved around. You can't really blame them for anything... failure in leadership!!!

Your women's toilets at 9 p.m. on Sunday. Are you serious? Smells like urine, floor full of “water”, toilet paper on the floor, toilets full💩 on the edge, no hand paper? Sorry if the toilet can't be kept hygienic... then how is the kitchen and MA?

Often enough we turned a blind eye. Received incorrect orders. Finally I was given a large coffee that was watery. I wanted a latte with caramel and got a watery coffee. Every time something is missing. I pay for the things and don't get the right thing. Sorry, but maybe think about whether that's okay? I'm out of McDonald's. Learn to make orders correctly. (It wasn't the first time the order was wrong)

Great rest stop, very nice staff, always friendly and accommodating. Since the new truck parking spaces have arrived, you can still find a parking space a little later. 👍👍👍

Thanks McDonalds for acute kidney failure. I treated myself to a Big Rösti on Wednesday, cold, mushy, disgusting. A few hours of stomach cramps, diarrhea. Then on Saturday she went to the hospital with acute kidney failure. Confirmed Campylobacter infection. Campylobacter is transmitted, for example, through feces. The hospital immediately reported the matter to the health department. Oh and if someone says, that could have been something else. No, my wife and I ate the same food everywhere, except that I was alone at the golden M. Simply good, it's simply good at McDonald's

When ordering it was specifically stated that no cheese should be on the BM and yet there was cheese on it. Now I only had the choice of scraping it off the meat or throwing it away straight away because I don't eat cheese.

The food was quite good, it was there after an event in the Mitsubishi Hall and it was way too full. 40min waiting time. Food was ready on the counter for 20 minutes, despite the delivery service, then I picked it up myself. Potatoes soft

I just picked up my order and noticed that I got a vanilla shake instead of the strawberry shake I ordered! I don't like vanilla, down the drain. Not understandable for a small order!!! Sh...

Food is always warm, tastes good and fresh, one of the best I've had so far. Employees are all super friendly.

Food was ok, premium portafilter coffee machine is probably just there to look at. Even though it was switched on and there were enough staff on site, the cappuccino came from a fully automatic machine. This was also confirmed to me when I asked again. Sorry if customers are suggested that such a coffee is available by displaying a switched-on portafilter, it should also be delivered accordingly.

Waiting time is subjectively longer than in other branches. The floor was greasy and therefore very slippery. But overall it looks tidy. The food was lukewarm.

What an experience! I had a great time at McDonald's Dieburg. Numerous employees were on site and offered us exceptional service that you would not expect from any other restaurant in this chain. The question from a magical employee as to whether everything was fine left us speechless. We didn't expect such service and were therefore positively impressed. Even after the meal we were asked if everything tasted good. The trays were taken from us by an employee with a smile. He properly separated the garbage. Really great! Our highlight was the free Trolli gummy bear burger. which were distributed to the guests. I recommend everyone to dine there. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service. We'd love to come back!

The food and service is actually as you would expect in any branch. In this branch, however, I prefer to only go through the drive, as the clientele present makes it very unpleasant to enter this branch. You are stared at and judged. Groups as if it were a shisha bar 2.0
