McDonald's in Emden

The food is McDonalds. The toilets are, also typical of McDonald's, simply disgusting.

Nice staff and, apart from the fact that the fries were no longer warm, we've always had decent food

I am really disappointed with my experience at McDonald's in Emden. Yesterday I placed an order there that I wanted to take home. Unfortunately, both the Big Tasty Bacon and a small fries that I had added as a bonus were missing. Since the route to the restaurant is too far, I couldn't just drive back to sort out the problem. What is particularly annoying is that the staff seemed neither friendly nor helpful, but rather disinterested and in a bad mood. You shouldn't have such experiences with a brand like McDonald's. The fact that you don't even get what you ordered for your money is unacceptable. In addition, I have not yet received a response to my complaint. I expect a global franchise like McDonald's to at least address such issues in a timely manner. This was certainly my last visit to this restaurant and my family will also avoid McDonald's in the future. Conclusion: Poor service, lack of products and no customer orientation. Absolutely disappointing.

Waiting over 30 minutes for a McCrispy and 6 nuggets is a lot, even for a Saturday evening, and to make matters worse, the food was cold. Employees obviously overwhelmed and/or poorly trained.

We stopped at this Mc Donalds on the way to Norddeich, we ordered 5 coffees, one mc Flurry and one mc chicken classic. We had to wait 35 minutes before we even got anything. Okay it's full, people are working but then the order was wrong and we had to wait another 15 minutes for a god damn latte 🤬🤬🤬 Sorry but that's really too much!

Never again! I have never experienced such a full McDonalds with such overwhelmed employees. I was here on a Tuesday at 7pm. In McDrive the cars were lined up on the main street (15 cars in total). When I ordered inside, I was in 5th place and waited 40 minutes. Very nice employees but apparently the management is incompetent

A McDonald's like any other, the food is not the best and the service is the worst. But that's just how we know McDonald's. You can be happy if you get at least half of what you ordered after placing an order. Also far too expensive for the leftover meat that is sold to you in the form of a burger. By far the last place I would eat but still 2 stars because I know there are even more disgusting McDonald's restaurants. And yes, I don't think I need to say anything about the ice cream machine, everyone knows what I mean anyway.

It's unbelievable that you have to wait 2 hours for food, when the food came it was cold. The staff is simply overwhelmed. Change something...

We have never waited as long for our food as we did in this fast food restaurant. After 30 minutes some cold food came to us. Incompetent staff who couldn't process customers as quickly as you would expect from a well-known restaurant. We are happy to forego further visits in the future. Thanks for nothing and next time we'll invest the 35 euros in another provider where everything we order is served and can be eaten warm!!!

We left two weeks ago from our lovely holiday in Norddeich. On the way back we had breakfast in Emden. It was cruel. Again the nonsensical selection from the breakfast menu. 2 or 3 hamburgers would have been good. Ordered some kind of limp breakfast burger with chicken and choked it down. Previously waited half an hour for food in a fast food restaurant. But then the worst came. The coffee just tasted like washing-up broth. The worst coffee of my life. Just disgusting. It was definitely the last time we went to McDonald's at breakfast time. The points are just a gift. 0 would be appropriate.

I've been waiting for my food for 40 minutes and when I ask I'm told it will come straight away.

Stood in MC Drive for 25 minutes and that's not the first time, but today was the highlight of the waiting time.

The slowest MC I know. EVERY time you pick up food here, eat on site or even pre-order it takes at least 15 minutes from ordering. The shop isn't packed, I'm often the only one in the MCDrive and it takes 15 minutes for 2 burgers. It can't be anywhere, can it?

The cleanliness almost spoils your appetite here. Neither the floor nor the tables are kept clean. Not even the toilets are kept clean. The waiting time is excessively long. So they should change things around here and take proper care of the store. It's sad what happened here.

Worst McDonald’s visit ever! On Sunday, September 8th, around 9 p.m. I ordered a Big Tasty Bacon - and unfortunately that was a huge mistake. A few hours later I had severe stomach cramps and eventually food poisoning that left me in bed the entire next day. A fast food restaurant should adhere to hygienic standards - that was obviously not the case here. Absolutely unacceptable, never again!

Eating is as it should be, out of the 5 times I was there, 4 times I forgot something, such as drinking, but if a mistake is quickly recognized, we reach the goal together. Ambience is functional and spacious. Update: This has now improved 9 months later

Unfortunately, cleanliness in the lobby of this branch is very important - crumbs on the tables, dust on the counters, etc.

Overall it's too expensive for what you get (almost €2.5 for a cheeseburger). The toilets are often dirty and tables are often not wiped down. However, the service is quite good, there is nothing wrong with it. The food is average as you would expect from MCD. I'll avoid it as much as possible.

Completely incompetent and unfriendly staff. No matter whether you order to take away or eat on site. Nothing worked...the waitress yelled at guests and everything else was very uncoordinated and chaotic. Waiting 40 minutes for food is just too much

We stopped on the way through. I've never seen such a dirty McDonalds. All the tables were sticky, the toilets looked impossible, everything was full of dirt and flies. The food was undercooked, incorrectly packaged and cold. The chili cheese nuggets looked ancient. The staff hardly takes any notice of the customers and doesn't understand them either. It's really shocking that a shop like this is still allowed to be open!

Thank you for your HONESTY, my husband forgot his wallet on the table shortly before midnight in the evening. We only noticed it shortly before we got home. I called straight away and an employee found it. And hand it over to the shift manager. Nothing was missing and there wasn't exactly a little in it. Thanks!!

It was pretty crowded and loud inside. It took a while for the food to be brought to the table. The vegetarian nuggets were too hard (at other McDonald's they were softer/better). Felt like they were old (cooled and then reheated). And in general the food wasn't hot enough.

Really sad what happened to the store... Every time you're here the toilets are dirty to the point where they can't be used anymore. It resembles a train station toilet 🤮 You also have to wait far too long for food even though there is nothing going on.

Extra requests were ignored several times, but were still declared as such. There have also been several products missing, such as fries. Still one of the better McDonald's.

Waiting time 1 hour. Several things were missing. The shop is dirty. This was my last time at Donalds. Next time I'd rather go to a different snack bar.

Our food got cold after we saw that the food had already been on the tray for 15 minutes. We have pointed this out to the employees. The lady became very rude to us... then she came back with the burger and asked if it was hot and held it out to me, but it was cold. The guests behind us just shook their heads. What's more, German is hardly spoken anymore and hardly anyone understands anyone.

The food was good. But the waiting time should be improved. I waited over 20 minutes for the clear order. When asked about this there was no answer. Unfortunately the toilet wasn't clean.

The McDonald's restaurant has existed in Emden for decades. I once worked here myself as a high school graduate. Back then there was a strict regime when it came to cleanliness. Now it doesn't seem to matter. It may be because the restaurant is no longer run by an owner but belongs to a large franchise chain, or it may simply not be going well. No matter when I come here, the tables are disgustingly dirty, the floor is really not clean and neither are the toilets. You wait significantly longer in McDrive than in a restaurant. Yes, fast food also needs quality. And cleanliness and ambience should be the basic requirements. Unfortunately, this is obviously no longer the top priority.

We waited almost two hours and we weren't the only ones. After these two hours we wanted our money back, receiving the order was impossible. The staff ignores the guests, only when we put pressure on them were we able to get the money back. The staff was unfriendly and the kitchen floor was lined with dirt, garbage and leftover food.

I feel sorry for the people who work there. We were there last Sunday and it was so full that the staff actually couldn't take the order. McDonald's needs to work on this situation. This is also very unpleasant for the guests. The name “fast restaurant” doesn’t make any sense at all.

We are very disappointed, we were there at lunchtime today. The burgers were almost cold and tasted somehow sticky as if they had been prepared for a long time. The deep fryer probably needs an oil change, but the fries certainly looked and tasted the same. The toilets are a disgrace, full of flies and smell. Never again.

Absolute fraud, I ordered food within the specified delivery time and nothing arrived. Calls didn't go through and the store was simply closed. I filed a complaint with both Paypal and Lieferando.

Since I can't leave a review on Lieferando, I'll do it here!! You supposedly “deliver” until 11 p.m.? Strangely enough, the Lieferando app says that you are “currently closed” from 7:30 p.m. 💀 Why don't you change your strange opening times for deliveries?

It gets worse with the waiting time (45min) for an order with two menus. Even though it was placed via online order. On top of that, another burger was missing. On top of that, everything was cold. I don't feel like it anymore.

Unfortunately not recommended I've been to several McDonald's locations, but this one disappointed me. The staff seems overwhelmed and is unfortunately not particularly friendly. The cleanliness of the store also leaves something to be desired. Overall, I cannot recommend this branch.

Will never eat there again. To pay you had to stand at the checkout for over 10 minutes and no employee felt responsible for you. In addition, you first had to look for a clean place. The tables were either full of garbage or full of leftover food. The sockets at the tables were so dirty that it made you sick. Our table neighbors asked an employee if he could wipe down their table. Instead of wiping the table with a cleaning product, he came with two napkins. The table was then “wiped”. After over 40 minutes, we and other guests received no food. Only after we reported to the counter did we receive our order after about 5 minutes. Apparently the burgers were remade. However, they were cold and cut all over the box. Other guests, for example, only received half a fries or many had to go to the checkout again because their orders were incomplete. And that every minute. The store was full of trash on the floor and the carts where the tablets were placed were also more than full. I would have preferred to give 0 stars. The store didn't make a single profit.

We feel ripped off by the service here. Ordering at the terminal and at the checkout is good. Then the output! It's ready for pickup and only 1 part is on the tray. Finally, two large fries are missing. Should take three minutes. Asked after 5 minutes, comes straight away. After 12 minutes I stood at the counter. 3pers. know about it, make a chip and it ends up somewhere else on the tray. After we were finished I told them that they could eat the two fries themselves. We wanted to buy 2 coffees with promotional codes at MC Drive. the Lord told us it would only work once. which is simply wrong because we had 2 codes. He either meant one at the normal price or bad luck. after I showed him the second code again he simply closed the window. very very very very bad service!!

Unfortunately, something is missing every time and everything is often slapped together. It's a shame, after all, your eyes eat too. Why is the lettuce on the burger cut so finely? Half falls apart. However, the employees are all very friendly and calm.

In itself a reliable shop with nice employees, but the cleanliness is deteriorating day by day. I wanted to quickly wash my hands before eating and was horrified by the bathroom. It was full of flies and had an obnoxious smell. Unfortunately, my appetite was gone afterwards, which is a shame.
