McDonald's in Emden

The food is always very tasty but every time you want to order it doesn't work because they have put it on display, for example today I wanted to order and it said acceptance only from 5:35 p.m. I didn't think anything of it and waited, now it's 7 p.m. and you still haven't got it together either you deliver or you leave it completely, this back and forth makes no sense

Experienced the unbelievable. Waiting time of 45 minutes for the order entered and paid for at the terminal, even though the kitchen was fully occupied. Pure chaos, cold food, ice cream melted, everyone around me had a similar experience. Everyone was horrified.

The worst McDonald's branch I've ever come across. And that even though the food is good, or at McDonald's level. But: one of two toilets in the men's toilet was completely filthy. Soap was empty. Disinfectant also empty. The hand drying device didn't work and displayed some error. The touchscreen on one of the order terminals did not work. Anyone who scanned their code anyway could not log out but had to wait until they were logged out automatically. At least there should be a “broken” sign to avoid something like that. The tray service carts were overcrowded. One positive thing at the end: employees were friendly.

Toilet doesn't work at all! Even for a fast food restaurant, I expect reasonably clean toilets. The tables weren't wiped down and disgusting, plus it stinks. Our order waited 25 minutes even when we asked if it had been forgotten. We also had the wrong burger and forgot the milkshake. Fries were soggy and drinks were at room temperature. B. Never again McDonalds Emden!

Food was below average in general McDonald's comparison. Service staff were completely overwhelmed. 2 burgers were forgotten and when I complained I was just looked at stupidly. No wonder people want to buy a 5-star rating with free ice cream. A disgrace in my eyes

We were there for football and just wanted something small to eat and drink. I ordered an ICE Latte and just got a normal coffee with ice cubes, plus there was a Mc Flurry (Minecraft Edition) they saved on the sauce and the ice cream looked like someone had shit in it. Well at least the game was good and we won 3-1! ONLY THE VFB💚🤍

40mn waiting for a burger is unnaceptable

I ordered takeaway food yesterday through the terminal. After a while our order was shown on the monitor as ready for pickup. At the pick-up counter the only answer was "it's not ready yet." My comment that it was on the display was pushed away with a grin by the employee and asked "where is it?" Mustard was removed from a burger due to an intolerance, but unfortunately the mustard was still on it. The burger had to be thrown away. Conclusion: Very overwhelmed, unfriendly staff, unfortunately the order was not received as ordered. I cannot recommend this branch.

The staff of today's lobby is catastrophic

Really, really bad... There's dust from the last few weeks on the yellow lampshades above the tables, the partition walls with the glass elements are completely dinged up and you can already smell the smell of urine from the toilets in the entrance area. This branch is on my red list.

I used to come here regularly and was always satisfied. But since the owner changed, there is hardly anything left of the usual service. There are obviously massive cuts in staffing - the branch is regularly understaffed, and it's noticeable in every corner. The food often comes far too late, sometimes even cold, because there simply aren't enough people there to keep the business running properly. What I find particularly bad is how overwhelmed and exhausted the remaining staff seem. You can really see that the employees are working to the limit. And all because the new operators apparently think they have to squeeze out the greatest possible profit with as little effort as possible. It's a shame how this McDonald's has developed. This means that the visit is no longer fun – neither for the guests nor for the people who have to toil there.

Ordering via machine was as easy as in other branches. Cleanliness isn't at the top of the priority list. With coffee (not to-go) there were wooden sticks for stirring instead of spoons. Attached to the paper cup, but not when you drink from cups. The food was brought to the table quickly and was also hot. During peak times, you may have to wait 12 minutes for your McFlurry, as the list of orders is processed one after the other. This used to be different, as while the burger in front of you was still sizzling, the milkshake was made "on the side". If you order now and the person in front of you is a large family, then you have to wait until it is ready. Maybe for small things you should use the cash register instead of the terminal. Again about cleanliness. The smell of the toilets has the same level as that of a toilet facility on the motorway. Edit 2025: Nothing, nothing at all has changed...it felt even dingier...trash not cleared away on the tables (yes, I know, that's the customer's responsibility...but...if they don't do it, who will?).. All the tables in our row were more than just greasy...the service didn't work, but instead crept through the store...and walked past the garbage on the tables/floor... And when we arrived there really wasn't much going on... No... honestly... that's not possible.

There's always a lot going on at a McDonald's, but you'll find it well furnished and a little better than others Only the parking lot is a bit tight.

Yesterday, April 3, 2025, we had dinner there. There was good stuff going on. A young man with black hair and a black beard in a yellow shirt brought the orders to the tables. Almost every order had something missing or wrong. We were also missing the nuggets. NO problem for us. The young man asked us as soon as we were served whether everything was there and brought the missing nuggets in 2 minutes. You have to say that he was alone and ran his feet flat and all of this with a friendliness that you don't even know anymore. Then it happened at the next table. He pours a drink directly onto a guest. After many apologies, he ran to the counter and got towels, then he slipped on the table and hit the tiles. Instead of throwing everything away and going away to take a quick breath or get a doctor, he asked me and my wife and the other guests if everything was OK with us. Craziness !!!!!!! This young man deserves a 5* rating alone. Employee of the month for me! He was very hard-working and friendly and put the guests' well-being above his own. Top. Thank you, strange young man.

That was the last time I spent money here today. 3 menus, a cheeseburger extra = €37. And that for a chip shop. That's almost 80 marks and then the food is cold. You lose your appetite and you don't get full.

At dinner today all the sauces and the drink for the Lütte were missing. Even the napkins, even if that's not that important. It looked like my burger was just thrown in. Food bad, service bad, atmosphere terrible. What can I say? It's just McDonalds, a love-hate relationship. Sometimes you need that, but actually the food there is terrible. Service is limited to the minimum of friendliness that is possible. And the beeping in the background makes every visit a horror. Nevertheless, we all go back again and again. This was the second time we were there, the waiting time was between 40/60 minutes. A disaster! Waiting time at Mc Drive over 30 minutes. Delivery home about 45 minutes and then the fries were cold and the Big Rösti was so bone dry and only a small dollop of sauce. The cleanliness in the store also leaves something to be desired.

As soon as I went into the dining room, I came across the fries that were lying on the floor. There was also a lot of paper and bags of chips lying around in the restaurant and no one made any effort to sweep the dining room. The tables didn't invite you to eat either. The toilets were a disaster. My wife was also horrified by how it looked and smelled in the ladies' room. The men's toilet was extremely smelly of urine. 2 basins broken and one of them full of urine. We will not enter this RESTAURANT again. I haven't seen something like that in a long time. A single catastrophe.

Only orders are made to eat on site. The employees just stand around or walk haphazardly through the kitchen. If you want to take something with you, you can expect to have to make yourself comfortable for a while. A long while. I'm just waiting and bored.

Absolutely bad store. The app didn't work properly and didn't load the code. When I explained the situation, the employee claimed that he “supposedly” couldn’t apply the discount manually. When I asked why that wasn't possible, he just laughed. After I insisted on speaking to the store management, she came - and didn't say a single word! When I announced that I would complain, the “friendly” employee recommended that I call Munich and complain there. This is of course done. Even when I said that I would rate this accordingly here on Google, I only received a condescending “You are welcome to do that.” Conclusion: This was definitely the last time we visited this McDonald’s!

I've never experienced anything like that! As soon as you entered the store, there were already a lot of people waiting in line to pick up. We then ordered to eat there at the terminal and added table service. After waiting for 40 minutes, I went to an employee and asked where the food was. Was just put off with the statement “We’re just preparing it, just a moment.” After another 20 minutes of waiting, we also stood in front of the pick-up line as everyone else picked up their food there as no one was taking care of the table service. The same bag had been sitting on the counter for over half an hour, apparently belonging to the order of a woman who was also waiting in horror for table service. Understandably, she didn't want to accept the bag anymore because the food was already cold! We then had our money paid out and left the store. The cleanliness in this store is also a complete disaster. The toilets stink, the tables and floor are full of trash and dirt, the kitchen looks terrible (there is food and trash everywhere in the kitchen)... I will never enter this store again.

Recently there have been very long waiting times in Mc Drive and in the restaurant.

Went to Mc Donald's today...and I was pretty disappointed because it was very dirty everywhere even though there was hardly anything going on and the order was wrong, the fries and nuggets were served cold...then I got a burger with extra bacon Ordered there was only one slice of bacon and not even on the burger. My partner's wrap was pretty wrong. He ordered one with chili sauce and there was chili only at the bottom of the wrap and on top there was mayonnaise or something...for that I would have paid more for it because I paid so much money for it expected ... was the last time we were at Mc Donalds in Emden ... people in the big city do it much better and they have more stress, oh well, the Mc chicken Classic was a joke, it was a child's burger I know it's much bigger...very sad...

I eat in this branch often. Today we got a BigTasty from the small menu to take away. Arrived home, opened the box and never seen a burger thrown together like this. The fries were amazing, it's a miracle I still have teeth... I would have understood if the store had been full, but it wasn't.

For the money I wasted, I got the citizens stuffed with salad and the citizens were allowed to do puzzles together all over the place in the packaging I think it's a shame considering the price and cleanliness we don't have to talk about it

I am really disappointed with my experience at McDonald's in Emden. Yesterday I placed an order there that I wanted to take home. Unfortunately, both the Big Tasty Bacon and a small fries that I had added as a bonus were missing. Since the route to the restaurant is too far, I couldn't just drive back to sort out the problem. What is particularly annoying is that the staff seemed neither friendly nor helpful, but rather disinterested and in a bad mood. You shouldn't have such experiences with a brand like McDonald's. The fact that you don't even get what you ordered for your money is unacceptable. In addition, I have not yet received a response to my complaint. I expect a global franchise like McDonald's to at least address such issues in a timely manner. This was certainly my last visit to this restaurant and my family will also avoid McDonald's in the future. Conclusion: Poor service, lack of products and no customer orientation. Absolutely disappointing.

We stopped at this Mc Donalds on the way to Norddeich, we ordered 5 coffees, one mc Flurry and one mc chicken classic. We had to wait 35 minutes before we even got anything. Okay it's full, people are working but then the order was wrong and we had to wait another 15 minutes for a god damn latte 🤬🤬🤬 Sorry but that's really too much!

Never again! I have never experienced such a full McDonalds with such overwhelmed employees. I was here on a Tuesday at 7pm. In McDrive the cars were lined up on the main street (15 cars in total). When I ordered inside, I was in 5th place and waited 40 minutes. Very nice employees but apparently the management is incompetent

A McDonald's like any other, the food is not the best and the service is the worst. But that's just how we know McDonald's. You can be happy if you get at least half of what you ordered after placing an order. Also far too expensive for the leftover meat that is sold to you in the form of a burger. By far the last place I would eat but still 2 stars because I know there are even more disgusting McDonald's restaurants. And yes, I don't think I need to say anything about the ice cream machine, everyone knows what I mean anyway.
