McDonald's in Haren (Ems)

Ate here on the way back to the Netherlands, we wish we had driven on to the Netherlands What a filthy mess it is there. Even a fast food restaurant should be able to tackle the flies by keeping everything clean, good hygiene, staff walking on crocks. Fries were not cooked properly, hamburgers were larger than in the Netherlands but a lot thinner. They don't have the fries sauce that MacDonalds is known for and the mayonnaise is nasty. When we left we quickly counted... 15 flies on our leaf. The one star I give this restaurant is the tubs of barbecue sauce, because those sachets of sauce at McDonald's are the biggest mistake they could make. But actually they don't deserve a star because today I'm hanging above the toilet... Got sick from the food and the flies My advice: choose something else to eat

We have never been so disappointed by a McDonald's restaurant. Especially with the fish mc and long chicken, the meat/fish on the sides was bone hard. Completely dry and inedible. The fries were soggy and tasted like they hadn't even been read through and the apple pocket was in there for far too long. It's a shame about the money

The store has changed a lot since it opened, with long waiting times, cold/missing food and stressed employees. It always seems like there isn't enough staff.

Super long wait, 50 minutes. Food was cold. Ordered coffee and cocoa in a cup and received a to-go cup. Super unfriendly manager. How can someone like that manage a branch? Completely incompetent and super unfriendly. It's easy when you talk to this woman. She still gets money for that.

Redeeming app coupons at the terminal is a pain. There is no network in the store (apparently suppressed or jammers. Very annoying

You had to wait a long time for your order, one was even completely forgotten and no one even apologized. Even in the orders that finally arrived, there were some forgotten sauces etc. Very unfortunate.

Food was hot and OK. The staff was very accommodating. We had table service. The toilets were clean

It wasn't full-bodied and we waited half an hour for breakfast. It's better to drive one rest stop further in any direction you think of and be faster when you drive back.

The food - normal McDonald's food. When we were there, the restaurant was full except for the last seat inside and outside. Nevertheless, our order was ready surprisingly quickly, the staff was very friendly and everything was clean. We were particularly pleased with the cleanliness of the toilets! Despite the high number of guests, everything there was sparkling clean! First class - some other McDonald's could learn a lot from this!

23 minutes for 3 breakfast items and a cocoa. 3 occupied tables. Only when I asked was my food handed to me, cold. What's going on? Definitely avoid, worst mccs

I ordered online and how can it be that something is always forgotten even if there are only 3 customers, that's bad. And then paying the full price is just a disgrace.

Very nice staff. The staff were also friendly and calm among themselves, so it was a calm atmosphere despite working quickly. Local very clean.

Ich muss hier mal ein ganz großes Lob an die Mitarbeiter geben. Ich hatte direkt am Drive In eine Autopanne und kam weder vor noch zurück. Es dauerte nicht lange und es kamen 3 sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter zur Hilfe. Sie haben mir mit einer entspannten Art geholfen, bis mein Auto wieder lief. Also so viel Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft habe ich in noch keiner anderen Filiale erlebt. Ganz lieben Dank nochmal an dieser Stelle. Hier lohnt sich ein Besuch auf jeden Fall.

Nice German McDonalds. Food was of good quality for a Mac and also hot. More choice than in the Netherlands.

Enough parking space with mcdonalds playland outside for children. This mcdonalds is beside the ARAL gasoline station as well.

Service was terrible. Unfriendly and disrespectful. Food not good either.

Great location and snack bar for quick food. Easily accessible from both sides of the motorway. And there is an Aral gas station next door where you can also charge your electric car‼️ Food is ordered via the oversized “touch panels”, where more sensitive operation would be desirable. It's good that it's still the classic way at the counter. My average rating is due to the food quality and packaging. Instead of wheat products, you should increasingly rely on whole grain products and the packaging in general should be further reduced ‼️ You can often find packaging with the big M on it on the side of the road 2-3 km away 😩😩😩

Long long wait at the drive inn. 30 - 40 minutes

It was just a catastrophe, we waited a really long time for the food

We ordered from McDonald's today and all of the fries/curry fries were undercooked and still half raw. There's no need to even talk about the waiting time. When I got home I wanted to eat my hot bag and then there was something red on it (blood) and you can't work with gloves there, pretty disgusting. The nuggets were simply grabbed by hand when they fell out.

Waited 20 minutes, burger wrong and cold. I won't again

Actually always very satisfied, but today it didn't work at all. The wait was incredibly long. For a fast food chain, half an hour without reordering is clearly too long. A real disaster. Especially when you see that there isn't much going on. Very dissatisfied

Very dirty food. The fries were undercooked and tasted like frying fat. I guess that wasn't the right temperature? The chicken wrap with chili sauce was also nasty, way too much chili sauce. Like I drank a bottle of chili sauce. We threw everything away and moved on to the next stop.

This MC is well managed. Always clean and enough staff. The Klatterturm for the children is great. Keep it up!

Fast food is different! 30 minutes waiting at the McDrive - staff completely overwhelmed ☹️

I've never experienced anything like that... Once in the MC Drive line, two lanes (!) and after 40 minutes with half the food in the hold... Get out and walk back to claim the missing food... Incompetent! Never again!

Food was good but my curly fries had a normal fries in it, something like that is not possible and my coke was forgotten and the staff couldn't understand anyone because of their bad German. All in all it was really bad. We didn't get any napkins and the trays were wet so they were fries were completely soggy, I ordered my cola without ice, but there was still some in it, the chicken nuggets were almost cold and soggy, something unprofessional

We were in transit, ordered, then waited almost 45 minutes for the food. It arrived almost cold, complained again, waited, slapped together hamburgers... never again

Forever a long wait. Ordered breakfast at 10:10. At 10:45 I asked if it was still coming. (Other guests already got burgers & fries) Would be in progress. 15 minutes later another waitress came (very friendly) and was annoyed that we had been waiting so long. She took care of it. Otherwise we would still be waiting after 2 hours. Unfortunately not the first time like this.

One of the few clean McDonald's there is. Every time we go north we take a break here. Clean toilets, friendly staff. No trace of hecticness. You can also eat something there with a clear conscience. Also, no long waiting times.

We generally stop at McDonald's when we load the car. Very friendly and courteous staff, the food is simply delicious. Clean toilet facilities.

So.Many.Flies! There were an incredible number of flies inside, you couldn't have peace from them for even 10 seconds. And that with outside temperatures of around 8-15 degrees which are rather cool for June. Aside from the many flies, everything you could see as a guest was spotlessly clean, including the toilets. Waiting time under 5 minutes for a breakfast menu.

It just keeps getting worse. You already order via the app and often still have to wait a long time. You should always check bags straight away, as something has often been forgotten (which is obviously annoying when you're sitting at home and something is missing).

The McDonald's is well located on the motorway and there are several charging stations for e-cars in the immediate vicinity. For me, the waiting time of over 30 minutes is far too long for a fast food restaurant and the number of toilets is limited, so you have to wait there too.

It's a McDonald's like any other. Drive-in is a bit tight but otherwise everything is ok

My citizen had two different pattys and had double cheese. It can't be that the man mixed up the order

20 minutes for the muffin and French rolls are an outrageous wait. The things are there in the display case. Don't go there.

12.05. Unfortunately, technology failed. Many customers had waiting times of 40 minutes. It's difficult to get staff, but you should have it planned as the last day of your short vacation 🙂 Also the tables wouldn't be wiped and the trash wouldn't be emptied. I'm deducting two stars again. Maybe it will change again. YNn will get them again. This McDonalds is very very clean. Almost unusual for McDonald's. I think everything is super organized and everyone is very friendly. We ordered at the terminal and had the food brought to our table I can't understand the bad reviews. OK. We also waited 20 minutes but all the burgers had special requests and it was a little more 😆 The burgers were good and everything was hot.

Well, I went to McDonald's and it was an absolute farce! The wait was longer than a line for a free giveaway of gold bars. I had to celebrate my birthday twice while waiting for my food. And when I finally got it, it looked like someone had tried to make an art installation out of trash and grease. The burgers were so dry they could have been used as building materials for the Great Wall of China, and the fries were so soggy I thought they could have been used as weapons in close combat. If McDonald's was an Olympic discipline, they would have won the gold medal for worst fast food experience ever!

Waiting time was forever long. We waited 45 minutes even though it wasn't really full. When I asked, I was told it would be ready soon. There were actually enough employees there. I don't know what it was.

If you just want to drive past here while passing through, you should think carefully about it. You should take your time, it takes a long time. No matter whether in a restaurant or Mc Drive.

Totally ridiculous, the shop is not nearly full, 35 minutes wait for 1 cheeseburger, 1 coffee and a coke. Then it's better to get a Snickers and a Coke from Arsl across the street. Never again........

Very friendly service, everything was clean, actually fresh food that was still warm and a pretty relaxed atmosphere :) 10/10 and parking lot including charging option for electric cars & even more hyperchargers next door. Everything perfect !

The place was clean and nice, as far a mc Donalds go. The burgers had way too much sauce on them, taking away all other flavours. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A lot of parking space and clean toilets. We might visit this MC again if we pass the area.

A shop like any other, nothing special. But wait, yes, it was there last night, double cheese and 9 nuggets, 2 🍟,. I waited a whopping 23 minutes for it. Incredible. Never this shop again because the staff seemed very unsympathetic, friendly is different

Unfriendly slow, no interest in sales. ARAL is more likely to be visited next time. Not recommendable.

We prefer to go to German McDonalds than the Dutch ones these days. The food is honestly a lot tastier and the staff is generally a lot friendlier, especially towards little ones. This branch is cozy and neat

Long waiting time after ordering in the drive-thru (approx. 20-25 minutes). In times of staff shortages it can sometimes take longer, but I certainly understand that. However, you cannot get your food cold. At some point, everyone waiting outside got their food at the same time, which is why I assume that my bag had already been parked for a while and when everything was ready, it was then distributed. It was barely edible. Very disappointing.

A McDonald's. I've been to better places but also worse ones. The food seemed a bit carelessly put together but it was also pretty full, so the kitchen could be forgiven for that.

Very clean, very (!) friendly Asian-looking employee in the guest room who ensures impeccable cleanliness and is VERY helpful. Unfortunately, our nuggets & curly fries were already past their best - so a small deduction from the meal... thank you very much - we'll be happy to come back.

Forever waiting 20 minutes for fries and chicken burgers is no longer fast food. Call system defect. You don't know when it's who's turn. Everyone seems very overwhelmed. Unfortunately the place doesn't seem really clean. By the way, the citizens were so squeezed and carelessly put together that they didn't actually want to eat anymore. It's a shame, the citizen could have saved something, but unfortunately no. The positive thing was that we got a seat.

The food was good, as expected. There were no napkins and wooden forks at table service. You have to ask for them separately. In the men's room there were dried urine and dust spots on the urinals. This gave the impression that it had been like this for a long time. Likewise the partition between them. That ruins a lot if you want to eat there

Hello, I have a BIC Mac menu with a large 0.5 liter drink. and ordered large fries! I received a 0.4 liter drink. and a medium fries. When I spoke to the staff, I was told that it was so busy at Easter and that the large cups and bags were sold out. I then asked the staff why they didn't tell you this beforehand or at least when picking it up... The answer was that we filled the cup and the bag of chips extra and so everything was fine. I don't think so, as it should at least be pointed out beforehand! But apparently everyone can do whatever they want :-) well then in the future you can always sell big things and spend small ones in silence 😂😂

Very nice employees. Despite the fact that it was packed, food came relatively quickly. The staff is extremely overwhelmed, apart from the long waiting times, the food is anything but warm... I can only recommend avoiding this place, at least if you are hungry.

Let's start with the positive. So it goes on with the negative. The staff on site is absolute rubbish and have never met a single capable employee on site since it opened. The orders are regularly completely messed up - half are missing every time you visit, so you waste more and more time. Fast food is bad everywhere else is still present here you are left standing at the drive in counter for 5 minutes even though the parking lot and everything else are visibly "empty". As always, McDonald's food is okay, but here that's often not the case. This branch is just filth... All the employees there should be ashamed of themselves

Waiting time: approx. 40 minutes Food: cold Other things: while we were waiting for our food, a kitchen employee came into our field of vision and made us wonder why someone was walking around in the kitchen with a down jacket. The reason: The employee scratched both arms, then ran his hands through his hair and, to top it off, touched his nose. O_O???? Then disappeared into an invisible area. When I described the whole thing to the shift manager, he seemed very uninterested and asked in all seriousness: yes, and what's the problem now... Double O_O????? So slowly explain again what the problem is when kitchen employees do something like that and whether he would like to accept food or drinks from someone who does that. The penny dropped penny by penny but there was still no interest. He said boredly that he would talk to the employee at the end of the shift. Time enough to pick your nose a little more. The food was almost cold, the ketchup was forgotten: this visit was an absolute failure

You better keep going! Bad service with grumpy employees. More than 45 minutes of waiting time, the chain does not live up to its name “fast food”!
