McDonald's in Alzey

I was here recently and ordered plant-based nuggets. Unfortunately, the portion I received was a mix of regular chicken nuggets and veggie nuggets. For me, as someone who consciously chooses plant-based options, this was of course extremely disgusting and shocking. I immediately complained to the manager and asked how such a thing could happen. Unfortunately, he couldn't give me a satisfactory answer. At least they quickly prepared a new portion for me. However, I couldn't eat it because I was already feeling nauseous from the incident. At least my husband was happy with the extra portion. The atmosphere and decor were also less pleasant. This experience was truly disappointing and unprofessional. I expect a company like McDonald's not to make such mistakes, especially when it comes to specific dietary requirements. It's important that processes are reviewed and improved to avoid future mix-ups and to maintain customer trust.

On June 7, 2025, at approximately 10:00 PM. When we arrived at the order terminal, we wanted to redeem a discount code from the official McDonald's app as usual. Although the code was clearly visible and active there, the employee at the counter rejected it – stating that the code was "invalid." What really bothered us, however, wasn't the technical problem, but the employee's tone. She reacted in an extremely rude and snappy manner. Instead of politely informing us of the alleged problem or offering an alternative solution, she addressed us directly and in an inappropriate tone. When we asked why the code wasn't working, she simply responded with an annoyed "Ahhh..." accompanied by an unfriendly tone – which we found very disrespectful. Especially in customer service – especially at a place like McDonald's, where many guests expect a quick and friendly service – polite behavior should be a given. We understand that there may be stressful moments, but a minimum level of friendliness should always be maintained. We hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and that more emphasis will be placed on respectful and professional customer service in the future.

The staff may be friendly and competent, but the systems are abysmal. Payment at the ATM isn't possible. Not worth recommending.

We waited over 2 hours for our online order, which arrived lukewarm and incomplete!!

Three times there, three times I left angry 🤣. The first time, I waited at least half an hour at the drive-thru. The second time, we only wanted two MC Flurries from the "Dragon Tongues" promotion, and the lady at the drive-thru counter simply didn't know what I wanted, even though I said, "the MC Flurry Dragon Tongues from the promotion." And the third and absolute last time today, I had to wait in the waiting area at the McDrive again. An elderly lady was standing in front of me, who was also already fed up with waiting. She then ran over to ask where the food was. At the same time, the employee with both of our food came in and swapped bags. She pressed a bag into the lady's hand, and she looked through it, rummaging through it, and said it wasn't her order. When she swapped the correct orders, I pointed out to her that the woman had been rummaging through my bag, where the open fries were. I was then given a rude scolding for not rummaging around in the food, but just looking inside. My McSundae was already half melted when she gave it to me, and when I looked inside, half of it was emptied because the bags had been swapped. I'll be going to the one in Worms on the B9 from now on!

⭐️⭐️ (2 out of 5 stars) I can basically understand everything – even that it can take a little longer sometimes. But waiting 20 minutes for a simple order is really too long by McDonald's standards. Unfortunately, that wasn't all: The toy in the Happy Meal was missing, as was the water I ordered. What was also noticeable: The employees moved at the pace of a turtle – with absolutely no discernible hurry, even though a line was forming. It's a shame, because I usually appreciate McDonald's for its speedy service and reliability. This time, unfortunately, the visit was disappointing.

Not clean! Tables not cleared by previous occupants and sticky (Coke) food, fries, etc. on the floor. Service was okay, but lacking in commitment. Burgers and fries were good and hot.

McDrive. A whopping 12 minutes of waiting time for four small burgers – with only one car in front of us and hardly any activity in the restaurant. When we finally got our food, the burgers were dry and almost without sauce. They're clearly cutting corners here – unfortunately, at the expense of taste. This was our first and last time here. Even though we drive past this branch regularly, we'd rather take a detour and head for a different one in the future. It's hard to understand why anyone would come here more than once. Disappointing.

The employees are simply overwhelmed in the store even though nothing is going on. They're too stupid to put the notes aside, I waited 25 minutes for 3 ice creams, the employees are just stupid. And in the kitchen there is garbage and leftover food everywhere, and the toilet smells like fish, it's just disgusting.

A bit hidden and the processes are a bit chaotic. Half of the order terminals didn't work at all, the other half were very sluggish and slow. The order took a while, but the food was hot and tasted as expected. The staff was also extremely friendly.

Stopped here on the way back from holiday for a quick bite to eat, not recommended, the touchscreen responds very slowly. We said that we wanted to eat inside, but everything was put in a bag. They took everything out of the bag and brought it to the table, but it turned out that sauces and a burger were missing. The chicken was also old, cold and dry, the wrap was only half filled. I can't recommend this McDonald's more highly, we had pre-ordered, there was nothing going on there and we waited a quarter of an hour at the drive-in counter for our food. That's far too long for a drive-in. Even if you order at the self-ordering machine inside and there's nothing going on, you sometimes wait 15 minutes for your food even though you only ordered 3 burgers and a coke with fries....... at all other branches this happens within a few minutes, but here it always takes forever. Therefore not recommended if you are in a hurry, for example.

Took 1single burger more than 15min. Next day I went there again. 1 sundae took 13min again 😂. They have enough staffs 6ppl I can see. Not many customers but still....takes too long. Surprisingly...staff threw trash bags away and never washed hands and then they touch burgers pommes all other materials etc....one staff old man eating pommes and work for garbage bag etc...haha....it was very interesting seeing how they work.

Mc Drive is cheeky. 2 cheeseburgers and fries is too much with 5 people walking around and you should go to the parking area. Burgers are dry and fries are unsalted.

Very long wait by MC standards. And it certainly wasn't busy. Wrap was soggy soft. Salad is nothing. Iceberg lettuce and 3 slices of tomatoes. No hairnets, no plastic gloves. Now I remember why I never eat MC Donalds. Unfortunately nothing else on the way.

A very dingy McDonald's. Very dirty. The highlight we had on our tray was a piece of artificial fingernail.... The service staff dropped it. When we wanted to complain about the tray by pointing out that there was a fingernail on it, we were initially told that couldn't be the case. When I pointed out that she should just look over at her colleague, the insight was there for a moment. The service person was immediately taken aside and a conversation was held, but the work continued immediately without gloves or anything similar. We did get new food and an apology, but nothing more. Since we were traveling with three children and in the evening we ate there and drove on. At that moment I would have expected more insight and service, such as not having to pay for food. We will no longer visit this MC when passing through.

Terminals for ordering keep hanging up. This meant that several dishes were booked on my app because I had to start from the beginning every time. After 10 minutes of unsuccessful attempts, I went to the checkout to place my order. There I was told that a Big Tasty Bacon Maxi menu, a 6-piece Chicken Mc Nuggets and a Big M were booked on my app, which cannot be canceled at the checkout. It would be possible at the terminal, but nothing worked there. Nobody can tell me that there is no solution for such cases. But I was incredibly hungry and didn't feel like arguing for another 10 minutes with a McDonald's terminal or incompetent employees (the terminal was the more venerable opponent...). The result was that I bought McDonald's stuff for 18 euros and forced myself into 5000 kcal.

Waiting time is always a disaster... Service staff annoyed and stressed... Garbage everywhere, cleanliness is non-existent. That's a real shame... it's better to go to KiBo.

We had something delivered today, delivery took about 45 minutes which would have been ok, but the whole food was cold!! The food was only in a paper bag, no warming container, unbelievable 😡😡 for almost 40 euros I expect the food to be warm, never delivery again!!!

Despite the negative reviews, I wanted to give McDonald's a chance and ordered through Lieferando. I was very positively surprised - the food came right on time and was still warm (not hot, but that doesn't bother me personally). Since my order on Lieferando was confirmed after half an hour (and not yet), I called McDonald's and asked about my order. The woman on the phone was very nice and told me that the order was on the way and that she couldn't explain why it wasn't showing up in the app. Ultimately she was right and the order arrived, the food was good.

Not bad, the food is relatively high quality and normal, but they always forget to give you straws. There is also a mcdrive and parking nearby, and there is a separate area on the street surrounded by a glass fence. There is an electronic machine where you can place an order, then you take a piece of paper and go to the cashier to pay, and then you wait for your order, show your order number, and eat. It's simple.

Ask yourself if you want to eat in this store, what you serve to the guests, probably not!

The delivery service via “ Lieferando ” has apparently been closed because the orders cannot be fulfilled. An inspection by McDonald's itself is urgently needed here. A restaurant like this cannot be a flagship for the chain.
