McDonald's in Freiberg

Terrible service. Sure, it's busy on a Friday night, but I've never experienced anything like this before. I waited 50 minutes for my food until it got too much for me, so I basically assembled it myself at the counter and was finally able to eat it. So much for a fast-food restaurant.

The McDonald's team at the Freiberg location should be replaced or adequately trained as soon as possible. Service times are at least twice as long as those at other branches. Behind the counter, there's chaos; there's no sign of coordination or work ethic. This review isn't based on a single visit, but on at least five. But when I finally received a chocolate-smeared cup today after waiting 15 minutes for my food, I finally had enough.

The restaurant has dirty tables, dirty chairs. We waited 30 minutes for our order, even though the restaurant was half empty. Terrible service! This is a fast food restaurant, but waiting 30 minutes for your order is too much. Not recommended for visiting.

We were just there. The food arrived cold. I hope I don't get a stomach bug 🤮 The Coke tasted really weird, definitely not like Coke. The restrooms were okay, but they probably haven't been there for a while. I'll check if they need to refill paper. Better not go there. Get a Bockwurst at a gas station instead; at least it tastes good and is warm. Just shut the place down 👍🏻

The croissant was as hard as a rock. I wanted to swap it. I was offered a croissant just as hard. I didn't take it, but I didn't get my money back either.

Good afternoon! I ordered from McDonald's in Freiberg. I ordered a Maxsmart Meal (2 pieces) to go. Potatoes and gravy weren't included in the order at all. This isn't the first time they haven't included gravy with my order, but this is the first time they haven't included potatoes. I don't understand why this is happening. Please take this into consideration and take action.

The service and food are good. However, modern bike racks could be installed.

It's astonishing how many employees stand in each other's way and can't find a structure. It must be mentioned that employees who weren't "native" Germans worked significantly more effectively and quickly.

We stop here for breakfast every year. We've never seen such a beautiful and well-maintained McDonald's over the years! There are fresh flowers on every table, always with attention to detail! Coupons are laminated and posted on the kiosks, and the staff is helpful and friendly! We award this consistent service a sixth star!

Absolutely bad, the burger had to be put together and looked like it was 4 weeks old and there were leftovers in the burger!!!

The absolute worst!! Just ordered food from MC Drive, waited forever, and then you get home and the Royal TS is missing... at over €6.89, it's already incredibly expensive, and then they forget about it. And that's not the first time this has happened at this restaurant...

A good fast food spot for a little or very hungry 😃 I was in the area for a bit of business and needed a little refreshment for the drive to Dresden. Ordering was easy on the screen, and less than five minutes later, I was sitting outside at a table with my food. The surrounding area isn't ideal, especially with the industrial park, but I didn't visit Mäckes for the sights 🤔 The food was good and still warm. Fast food, you might say...

NOT recommended!!! Burgers are completely dry, fries were salty even though they were ordered with salt, and they were very dry, and the chicken wings were very dry! The McFlurry with double sauce was only available with simpler sauce. Bottom line: we'll never eat here again!

Hello, we were at this McDonald's today, June 9, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m. We ordered a takeout meal. As we were driving home, we noticed that a double chicken burger was missing. It can happen that employees forget something, but the other time we ate there, they also forgot to pack all the sauces and a salad. You'd think this was intentional, to save money. I didn't see any competent employees there.

The dirtiest McDonald's I know. You can always run for a cloth and wipe the table. Burgers are usually sold in individual pieces these days, so you can assemble them yourself. People only go there because it's the only one around.

This McDonalds is the worst they forgot 3 things in my order and the service is not the best so dear visitors better check your order again to see if everything is in it

Update May 2025: I was at the Slow Food Burger in Freiberg again. Arrived at 9:45 p.m. on a Friday evening and received my order at 10:23 p.m. (pre-ordered via app!). You're already obligated to wait at least 15 minutes at the ordering terminal, then you're quickly waved through to park at the edge after the last window (to improve turnaround time). By now, it seems like a bit of glee and humor on the part of the customers that the waiting customers get out of their cars and smoke a cigarette...there's plenty of time for that (better put an ashtray there 😉) At some point, an employee finally comes and brings out a few orders. Now for the part to laugh (or cry?): I spoke to the employee politely (and also told her directly that I didn't blame her personally) and "complained" (again) about the wait time, saying: ...has nothing to do with fast food here anymore... Her response: "McDonalds isn't a fast food place anymore, quality just takes time." Okay... they seem to have a real sense of humor... I'm still hoping a competitor will open in Freiberg. Maybe then things will finally change. The local operator, or rather, McDonalds Germany, doesn't seem to care. The quality of the food hasn't really improved. Some of the burgers seem to have been thrown together quickly, are cold, or are still missing from the order. ******* I've experienced this several times now: I've driven to the MC Drive-In, waited forever, and then something's missing from my order.... Today, a new negative record: I spent 30 minutes at the MC Drive-In for ice cream... How is this service still fast (food)? The order was clearly stated, but I get asked repeatedly, annoyed, because the receptionists don't understand or speak German very well. Update: Yesterday evening, the situation was again unacceptable. I waited 20 minutes just at the order counter, and after 15 minutes, the announcement: "It's still taking a while!" Getting charged for the lousy service is quick, though. I waited another 10 minutes at the last counter. Symbolically, after my predecessor received his order, he loudly announced that it was complete. The words ".... last time...()... forgot" were unmistakable. An unfriendly shop. You're constantly being asked to pull over to the side so they can have a good time! They're totally crazy and don't even speak German properly! For 2 chesseburgers you have to drive to the side at the front even though everything is empty! Incredible!

I went to McDonald's with my girlfriend. We were really happy and got fries and 20 pieces of chicken nuggets. Unfortunately there were only 19 instead of 20 chicken nuggets in the pack. We want our €0.50 back 😭

Terrible. We wanted to celebrate a child's birthday. The tablecloth was stained with dried ketchup. We asked for a fresh one. But they didn't and so the table was bare. The gifts for the children were also not complete. (Not enough balloons, pens, leaves to color) The seat was dirty and careless. We had to ask 3 times because things were forgotten (drinks, sauces, citizens) Extra requests for the product were not implemented. The gift for the birthday child again only upon request (employee: I'll go look at the back and see if there's anything there) The promised restaurant tour for the kids didn't happen either. The employees were neither motivated nor friendly. Totally annoyed sums it up quite well. For us it was the first and last time

Very very disappointed, was never really special, staff are very very forgetful. Diarrhea twice after a 20r press chick hearse box. It's slowly no longer normal and we don't even need to talk about the prices.

We've been several times now and let it go. It's always dirty. Nobody wipes the tables. The breading on my burger was so hard that my teeth almost fell out. The fries tasted like they had been bathed in fat for 5 days. The prices have gotten bad, but the service has gotten even worse.

Hello, we were just at Mecces and ordered something to take away. 2 vegan tomato batchill and a large fries. FOR 15 EUROS. In any case, we were surprised that vegan products happened so quickly. In the end they are inside. TWO CHEESEBURGERS AND ONE MEDIUM FRIES. WE WANTED TO PLAY MONOPOLY We'll probably still come back but MEAT. THIS GRAY FUNNY MEAT. NO. SIMPLY NO. put the fries on it. Luckily I rarely come here. The food is ok (Mc Donalds) but I find the cleanliness of the seats and tables as well as the toilets to be bad.

I've never seen such a dirty McDonald's. The staff would rather chat when there's nothing to do than use a rag on tables, chairs and benches (not to mention the sticky floor). Very sad, but I won't eat a burger here again.

Ordered today, August 17th, 2024 at 8:32 a.m. via the terminal,,, our take-away order was released for pickup by our colleague and we had to wait another 7 minutes. Why do you do it like that?! To make yourself look better among your colleagues?! Here the colleague should be trained again on how a coordinated process makes sense. It's a shame about the cold food. We won't be back any time soon!

I only give the branch 3 stars. This is not because of the food or the speed, but solely because of the cleanliness. The tables are rarely really so clean that you want to eat from them.

I'm surprised that there are so many negative reviews here - and they aren't just a month old and yet nothing is being done about it in the restaurant!!! If it were my shop, I would definitely change something! Does the operator not care about this at all, or does no one feel addressed? Today we went out for ice cream again after a long time (about a year) - there was a Happy Meal for the child. I immediately regretted it after 5 minutes... 2 out of 4 order terminals defective (was like that 1 year ago, or still? The orders were not ready according to the order time - we waited 20 minutes (there were 4 orders in front of us who only placed their order after us) The thought of canceling the order immediately was in the room...The food: you probably have to love McDonald's, but we only eat ice cream, which will probably be stopped at some point, because every time the Mc Flurry is more expensive (now borderline) Now to the sanitary area: an absolute mess - it smells worse than a train station toilet - no soap - broken doors that cannot be locked (a handwritten note on a piece of paper) and the toilets - no words... the seating area near the toilets also stinks Urine - it really makes you want to sit down. Conclusion: this restaurant is an absolute disaster - it needs to be completely renovated!!! The staff must be trained and hygiene must be urgently observed and, above all, enforced!

How can it be possible to wait forever despite ordering from the app and things are always missing from the order? Burgers, drinks and ice cream. It's annoying and apparently the MA's motivation isn't the best. Mistakes happen, but unfortunately there are discrepancies with almost every order. We went there yesterday for ice cream and were completely shocked. All tables and chairs, inside and outside, were super dirty. The garbage truck was completely overfilled and garbage was lying on the ground inside and outside. There was packaging waste of all kinds in the corners of the fence outside. It has to be said that it wasn't too busy so that the staff didn't have time for it. We were only there for a short time and quickly left.

It is the last meal on offer here. Price performance absolutely no relation. Just a rip-off at the highest level. There are a lot of small snack bars where you get a lot more of a high quality for the same money.

Sufficient free parking spaces. Friendly and helpful staff. After placing my order and paying with the app, I was IMMEDIATELY provided with the goods I wanted. Overtaking is a lot of fun even without a car.
