McDonald's in Bergheim

I've been to this McDonald's location several times recently, and each time I've had the impression that the drive-thru is extremely slow. In my personal experience, it's one of the slowest I've encountered in Germany. The wait times were consistently much longer than one would expect from a drive-thru. The service also seemed disorganized – orders took a long time, and the overall process appeared unstructured. For someone looking for a quick bite, this location is currently rather disappointing.

We left the store after 20 minutes without having paid for our order. During that time, an order was delivered. (We were waiting for a coffee, mind you.) Junk food is probably a more accurate description than fast food.

The food was almost cold again. Complaining didn't help; they just became unfriendly and said they were very busy. That's why things can happen sometimes.

This is one of the worst McDonald's we've ever ordered from. Three out of five times, at least one item is missing. If you don't order a promotional burger, the burgers are cold, and the fries are almost always cold. The staff seems annoyed and unfriendly. When there are problems with the terminal or payments, they don't try to help but respond rudely and try to make it seem like the customer is the problem. I don't know who's in charge of this McDonald's, but a change is urgently needed; I'm sure many others could do better.

You get addicted to the stuff, but it's often a disappointment when, for example, the burger is only lukewarm. And when it's even a bit crowded, the cleanliness quickly becomes an issue, and the noise gets on your nerves. Why does there ALWAYS have to be a machine beeping in the kitchen? The tiny portion of mayo or ketchup isn't enough for all the fries, and how are you supposed to eat them without cutlery? Since I was a kid, I've had to empty the sauce onto the cardboard tray and slurp the fries through it, so even less sauce actually sticks to them because it just spreads out on the cardboard. The whole concept now feels like a museum piece—the only thing that still draws people there is habit and an addiction to greasy, salty food.

Very long waiting time, staff doesn't speak German and someone has to come to translate, drinks forgotten, coupon issued incorrectly.

Unbelievably waited half an hour for my families food this evening. The restaurant was not even half full. By far the worst service and longest wait I have ever experienced at any McDonalds anywhere in the world. Clearly the management here is totally inept and the restaurant being very badly run. Also tried to avoid giving the friends toy that should have come with a meal when it eventually arrived after 33 minutes...

Here, missing veggie nuggets are simply replaced with regular ones. Afterward, they try to fob you off with a coffee voucher. 🙃

Update: After a year, I gave it a try every now and then, but I immediately forgot the nuggets. !!!!! Dirty place, often forgetting things, burgers are somehow lumped together, and the place is very heartless with high prices. I make my own burgers, and my kids love it and thank me more than they do for having to eat here.

Every time the app before ordering is forgotten and long waiting time

Parts of the order were forgotten repeatedly. And the food was cold. The place was packed, but that shouldn't happen. Seriously slacking.

This McDonald's is the worst. Firstly, they've often forgotten a burger that I ended up paying for, so I always have to check the bag after buying it to make sure everything's in it. Furthermore, I think it's a disgrace that they've discontinued the plant-based options. Therefore, it's no longer worth it for us. The employees are friendly and try their best. We will definitely not be going to this place again.

I tried ordering through the app four times, and each time, after entering a table number, I was kicked out. Then, when I ordered coffee on the big screen, I pressed the picture of a cup and received it in a disposable container. When I asked why, I was told that they only serve cups in the morning. The coffee itself was fine.

I've never seen such an overwhelmed team. After waiting 20 minutes for our order, we were told upon inquiry that our number was no longer in the system. After another 5 minutes of searching, an employee finally took pity on us and gathered the items using our receipt. We had to go through everything together because more than half of our €60 order was missing. We had to keep telling the staff what was missing and weren't even served politely; they were more annoyed because we kept having to run back and forth. By the time everything was gathered, half of it was already cold. At home, we then realized that all the drinks were missing, which we had forgotten in the whole mess. I've truly never experienced anything like it. Mistakes can happen, but then you should treat customers differently.

Clean branch, friendly staff, and the food arrives quickly. The taste and quality are good as usual. One star deducted because it's sometimes a bit busier and you have to wait a bit longer. Overall, though, it's recommended.

The restaurant was very clean, even though the food return carts were full. The service was super friendly, and the food was freshly prepared – the fries were nice and hot and crispy. The pleasant atmosphere was particularly positive. One small improvement: the parking spaces could be a bit larger. Overall, though, a great visit – a definite 5 stars!

The Mc's in Bergheim is beautifully designed and well-organized. Today, to my annoyance, I was denied a burger for the fifth time in a row. Last time I checked, they refilled it, just like the last few times. It can happen, but today I didn't check and a burger was missing, great 😤 What I'm wondering now is whether the staff are truly overwhelmed and lacking leadership, or whether this is a scam. In any case, I'm very angry.

We wanted to have a leisurely breakfast this morning in Bergheim Kenten. 8:00 a.m. The croissants were cold and soggy. They also didn't have any butter...when we asked, we were told they didn't have any. The croissants were slammed onto a tray...without a plate, which I was then allowed to get. No thanks, never again... MC has slipped...in service, etc., not to mention the prices. No longer recommended.

Small McDonald's but don't understand having a disabled spot outside if nside is not even a disabled changing room, staff rude, unfriendly and forgetful.

Breakfast in January. The heating was off and the room was freezing cold. The air conditioning was running, adding to the chill. The staff wasn't interested in the customers, but rather in conversations with each other. The food was lukewarm, to boot. It wasn't clean either. The entrance is poorly signposted and difficult to find in the semidarkness. This branch is best avoided permanently. Unfortunately, it has to be given one star. Zero would be appropriate.

Lukewarm seems to be the norm. The current Philly Cheese Steak Burger has absolutely no flavor and isn't recommended! It's a shame that it's only a rip-off for poor quality.

Friendly staff. You can place orders online in advance, at self-service kiosks in the restaurant, or directly with staff at the checkout.

I was there again... Burgers were repeatedly missing from a pickup order - last time I went back, but not this time, and I complained about the complaint form. You have to take a look at the form. I'm allowed 268 characters in a text box that only has two lines. Just say it like it is: You just don't want it. A call there led to an employee who I soon had to spell out to me that a burger was missing, as he understood almost no German. In the end, he wanted me to come back... Guys, guys, guys - you guys really have it too good.

The food was very yummy but the waiting time in the McDrive was long. I waited like over ten minutes just to get my order and then another 10-15 minutes till I got the food.

It really takes forever! They even forgot about it! And after asking and ordering correctly, it took another 30 minutes and the food was cold! Disaster.

Even if it's quiet, you can expect very long waits. Despite the wait, the 🍔 are still only lukewarm by the time they're brought to your table. Service used to be much better. Not to mention the cleanliness of the seating and tables.

Four weeks ago, I was there with my son, and it was a bit busier than "normal." As soon as several guests arrive, hygiene conditions deteriorate rapidly. The tables are no longer cleaned, some are littered with trash left over from previous guests, and the service level is lagging behind (a 35-minute wait for two classic menus without special requests). The screens displaying wait times are also no longer active—which could provide guests with some transparency. The employees are understandably extremely stressed. Extremely annoying is the fact that the restrooms (men's) are in a catastrophic condition, and the franchisee doesn't seem to care. He repeatedly fails to respond to complaints via the main office. Here, for example, three out of three urinals have been broken for several weeks, and the men do their business in the restrooms (especially on the toilet seat). Delicious! The smell is great, too. I'm being nice and just providing a photo here as evidence of my impressions.

I would rather die than eat here again, atmosphere is dead and everything is broken, dirty tables food and people. Ordered an hour ago and while it is very quiet here still no food. Food looks like it has been there for 30 years. Toilets look like it is in the year 0. Think about your health and drive another maccie. My appetite and zest for life has just been taken away from me. Do not go here!

Chaos in the kitchen, took over 30 minutes to get the food, everything is dirty or broken, toilets are disgusting, how they got a license is a miracle

Because a picture is worth a thousand words: See for yourself. All I'm saying is, This is what I want, and this is what I get 😅🤣. I find it really harsh and borderline. The waiting times also leave a lot to be desired, despite fast-food restaurants and computer control. It feels like everything was faster and, above all, more personal 10 years ago. Celebrating my birthday there as a child was amazing. Nowadays, it's unkind to children. No balloons, etc.

Worst McD experience ever! The operation seemed chaotic and disorganized, with long waiting times followed by cold food that had been sitting unlabelled under a heat lamp for god knows how long. The team clearly had no idea but seemed to try to make the best of it, where’s the management? Also staff were wearing dirty shirts and even flip-flops in the kitchen. The toilets were absolutely filthy and broken. Judging by other reviews, this isn’t an isolated incident but seems to be standard practice. This location urgently needs a thorough inspection for compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations. Not worth the McDonalds branding for sure!

I did a drive-thru, and apart from two really nice ladies, an older gentleman with a rainbow bracelet was extremely unfriendly. I went there a few times while on vacation. The food was only lukewarm. I won't be going there again.

Very long waiting time - no one answers questions - very unfriendly

Food typical of McDonald's, hence the 5 stars. The urinal was ripped from the wall and covered. Urine was on the floor of the regular restrooms. More than 50 guests were waiting in the restaurant, each smelling of a different oriental perfume. A charged and aggressive atmosphere. The staff tried hard but were overwhelmed. You can't order food using a code at the terminal. The service keeps crashing.

Horrible fries for McDonald's. Half raw. Most of them cold. The store is very dirty. Restrooms stink, and people pee in the corners. Half of the restrooms are broken.

Please always check that your order is complete! This is the second time I've come home, unpacked the food, and again something is missing: this time the Royal TS! The first time, it was the McRib. It's not worth driving 20 km just to find something missing! No one is available by phone either – which is really annoying! While we were waiting, we watched the staff working, constantly putting something in their mouths – and then continuing to chew with their mouths open!

I placed a pre-order for pickup today via the app (NC26 plus a separate order). Unfortunately, I only noticed at home that the fries were not only cold, but also almost raw. You can have a bad day. But this is our third attempt with similarly bad experiences. I think we'll give up on the branch.

Travel back to NL. Screens broken. Bad food, cold and not tasty. Waited 50min. Not recommended and definitely drive on.

Better not, go to a different branch! I mean, then you treat yourself to a McEs, and then I expect at least warm burgers, not hot, but warm, but no, already 1.5 hours old (according to the note) after complaining, we get more cold burgers! I was there on October 5th. It was completely packed, and as always, it took forever. But because people are people, there was a nice gentleman there, probably that Jack, who started shouting like a hussy and even started using racist language towards the employees. Today on May 1st it was a complete disaster at Mc in Bergheim. We pre-ordered via the app and found out whether you order on site or via the app, you won't get your turn any quicker. The employees often just stand around and do nothing. The order was only activated on site and we paid. We asked if there was still a 30 minute wait and we were told that only smaller orders would be brought forward. When we got our order after 45 minutes, we were told we shouldn't queue like that. I asked the lady how she would react after waiting for an hour. Finally she agreed with me. Unfortunately, when I got home I realized that the order only contained about half of it. Please, dear mc team, you don't give out the money for the goods.

I would prefer not to give a star. First I waited 45 minutes for my order, which was to be taken away, and then the employee gave me the tray and the bag next to it so that I could pack it myself. Really unfriendly staff and 40 minutes for 2 small menus is not possible.

So today it hit me, I asked 3 times if the parasol could be opened but in vain no one came 😩 Well at least the ice cream tasted good.

Unbelievable conditions in McDrive! I thought for a long time whether I should share my negative, recurring experiences, but today it was finally enough. After we repeatedly had products missing from our order/bag in the car over the last few months when ordering via the app, my son had to go back to the restaurant today and point out that products were missing from the order and request them. We are assuming a clear intention here, because every order is fully packaged, you get a receipt, but surely it can't be that out of 6-8 orders in the last few months there hasn't been a completely correctly packaged order? Shame on you for taking money out of people's pockets like that. We order for a family of five every time, which means spending €43-50, we also work hard for our money. Finally make sure that you are working correctly and don't give us the feeling that you are being cheated on here. No, the customer pays extra, but it doesn't count here.

Waited 40 minutes for cappuccino

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. The staff was unfriendly and seemed annoyed - every question seemed to be too much. The service leaves a lot to be desired. The toilets were dirty and obviously not cleaned regularly. In addition, several homeless people walked around undisturbed among the guests without the staff intervening. This creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. It's a shame, McDonald's isn't really known like that.

Last time , for almost 2 years, it only got 1 star. It has now managed to get everything back in order, apart from the order system, the display was broken. They are trying so I will update to 4 stars now. For a busy time the staff tried hard

I don't recommend eat there case thay would not wash the plates and only make them wet with just water.food is cold and the personal are unter pressure. they don't check if the food is ok and some of the workers are sick and still going to work.

Fairly mediocre McDonalds, in reality everything is broken or missing. It is not possible to make a sanitary stop yourself, you have to relieve yourself outside. A prison is an even friendlier place. But on the other hand, the atmosphere is really great tonight: PSV drew at home against Willem II. Congratulations, another point!
