I got a chocolate milkshake. After tasting it, I discovered that coffee had been poured into it. Afterward, I wanted to say what I had done. I got a new milkshake that tasted like coffee again. 4 euros wasted!

Good and fast service. The food is delicious. Since the recent renovation, the decor is very modern and open. There's also a two-lane drive-through. I've been coming here on and off for years and have never had any significant problems.

Unusually long wait times (almost 10 minutes for a single product) are common, especially in the drive-thru. However, by 2025, the situation had improved; the ordering app worked perfectly, and the employees were friendly.

Yesterday, my family decided to have a snack at this McDonald's, and now my wife and son have been lying there for the second day with stomach pains and all the signs of poisoning. We will never go there again.

Friendly staff, but once again, something was missing from our order. We were told the missing items would be brought to the table, but of course, that didn't happen! Only after asking again did we finally get it. We weren't the only ones who had this problem. They urgently need training!

Der. M! We don't have that in the Netherlands, so I had to try it. The first bite wasn't great; I think it was a bit cold, so I exchanged it for a new one. Very friendly staff... and that Der M, worth going back for!

For the third time, I've canceled things on my burger. In this case, cheese. There was a sticker on the packaging. What was missing: the tomato. Cheese was still on it. Mind you, it was a Royal TS. There should be tomato on it. I don't understand how you can stick the personalized sticker on the packaging when everything inside is wrong. Once, the top patty was missing from the McChicken Classic. You should see it when you close the package! The staff working there definitely need to work on their communication! From now on, only the restaurant in Kamp-Lintfort or Moers.

Unfortunately, I've had repeated bad experiences at this branch. Orders are regularly missing items, and instead of a small refund, I only receive the forgotten item. The fries are often not fresh, which is something other McDonald's locations do much better. It's a shame; there's urgent need for improvement here.

I haven't had such a bad McDonald's in a long time. I waited forever, my order was forgotten, then my order was wrong, and then I got visibly old and refried nuggets.

Food was cold, staff were unfriendly, and they didn't even care about complaints. We waited over an hour for two burgers. That was the last time we visited this restaurant. Even one star is too much for this place.

Too few vegan burgers/snacks and poor declaration as to whether or what is vegan and not just vegetarian.

It's been very nice since the renovation, but that's the only positive thing I can say about it. I first had regular nuggets instead of vegetarian ones. And then there was a fly in my fries, which was awesome. :( But the nuggets were replaced, and the staff were nice and understanding.

I've rarely seen such a poorly remodeled McDonald's. The parking lot management is absolutely terrible. There are two McDonald's drive-thru counters, but they're only operated by one person (what's the point?). Then you want a classic like the Big Tasty Bacon, and then? It doesn't exist!!! Never experienced anything like it! The lady at the counter was super friendly. All in all, just sad for a store that was modernized a few months ago!

For a fast-food restaurant, it takes forever here 🤬 The atmosphere here in Geldern, especially now, was better before the reopening. At the counter, I'm looking at a wall... no staff... cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.

Not in summer, no air conditioning. When I'm out and about in a chain restaurant, I actually look forward to the whole experience of standardized food, clean restrooms, and a pleasantly temperate dining room.

Unreliable offer. Very often products are not available. I have never experienced this in any other branch.

It's simply unbelievable how consistently the fries aren't salted. Out of 100 orders, 99 aren't salted at all or barely salted. This has been the case since the renovation, for whatever reason. Even if you explicitly state that the fries should be salted properly, there's a 50/50 chance that this won't happen. I wonder if this is due to incompetence or intent.

The Mc Drive is a disaster. So, there's no need to wait so long. I thought it was fast food. 🙈

Parking and chargers for electric cars

Unfortunately, something was missing again in a large order for the family. As soon as the order gets a little larger, the employees seem to reach their mathematical limits regarding quantities. Or they forget products. And given the prices, it's annoying. Do you really have to do everything individually, or can you perhaps expect a minimum level of competence?

Well, I ate there today, and I have to say it's really dirty. You have to wipe the tables outside yourself beforehand because they're so dirty, and there's a lot of paper from the orders on the floor.

The new burger was a disaster: poorly made, little salad, and a lot of it falling apart during serving. Not good value for money.

I ordered a cheeseburger without onions or pickles, and it still had onions on it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until too late... The shop itself was very modern and clean.

Since the renovation, the atmosphere has disappeared. The staff is hopelessly overwhelmed and very unfriendly. Wait times are far too long, unbearable with small children. I can't recommend it anymore. It's better to go to Burger King in Kevelaer. I won't be back anytime soon. I'm really sorry, but a lot would have to change for it to improve.

Absolutely terrible service. Ordered via app or coupon. Received the wrong order (iced coffee) (no ice). Didn't receive app points because the app crashed. The donation box for Ronald McDonald Aid couldn't be found. Written complaint was only answered the second time, but the response was completely incompetent and irrelevant to the case. Unfortunately, I absolutely do not recommend this branch.

Service war eine Katastrophe. Falsche Bestellung erhalten. Punkte nicht erhalten, weil App nicht funktioniert hat. Spendenbox war nicht auffindbar. Auf Beschwerdemail kam inkompetente Antwort. Leider absolut nicht weiterzuempfehlen.

By far the worst McDonald's visit of my life!!! What happened today at around 6:10 p.m. at the McDrive in Geldern surpassed anything I've ever experienced at a fast-food restaurant – in the worst possible way. The greeting itself was an absolute outrage: An elderly lady with glasses and blonde streaked hair treated us with such a cold, dismissive, and disrespectful attitude that we literally lost our appetites – before we'd even ordered. Despite her obvious rudeness, I remained polite and asked further questions about my order. But instead of an answer, she coldly ignored us – as if we were air. The next shock came at her first McDrive checkout – there, we were again treated not only rudely, but downright condescendingly and verbally humiliated. An absurd situation that had nothing to do with customer service. Completely stunned, we approached the supervisor present at the second station, hoping that at least someone in charge would intervene. But there was no response: Here, too, only silence and disinterest. No apology, no understanding – nothing. We have been loyal McDonald's customers for years. But after this experience, we've made it clear: Never again to McDonald's in Geldern. This behavior will not be swept under the rug – we will officially inform headquarters and consider what further steps to take. This is not how you treat long-standing, friendly customers.

I wanted an ice cream at 10 p.m., but they said the ice cream machine was being cleaned and couldn't be used today, even though they were open until 1 a.m. I wanted to at least have something to drink since there was no ice cream, but an employee said the ice cream machine is cleaned every two weeks, which is very hygienic!

This isn't the first time. I have a large family, so that means a large order. I looked in the bags and the burgers were all OK, but the apple turnovers weren't in there, which I only noticed when I got home. It can't be that difficult to get the orders right. And the bad thing is, it happens quite often, so I'd rather drive a bit further than the juice shop where you have to wait forever.

Despite the usual weekend and afterparty-related extra activity late at night (...sure), the waiting time was quite quick. Even with an order consisting exclusively of vegetarian dishes - you know the usual struggle, everyone is waiting for the vegetarian, but oh well. (At the latest when the homies have to go to the toilet, or "oh wonder" after drinking and eating 5 chilli cheeseburgers to counteract it, they are no longer so strong and fit, even though it was previously prophesied as my fate... (But I'm happy to let the malicious words wash over me beforehand and smoke a cigarette with pleasure, while the buddy, once strengthened by his meat, desperately flees behind the bus stop in order to use a leaf to get rid of the traces of the speedy Ottos tries to free) Well, if you like... I stick with the vegetarian items, even if McDonald's only offers a choice of 2 (sometimes 3) alternatives, not counting drinks and fries. Top branch! The interior is modern and inviting, and there is enough space to feel comfortable. The service was quick and friendly, the staff was helpful and well organized!

I can't understand why, since the renovation, you never receive warm, "fresh" food when you order via the Mc Drive. Even when you ask or specifically request that you prepare the food fresh (by that I mean specifically fries, nuggets and other deep-fryer stuff), you receive warmed-up cardboard. It may be that this saves resources and energy, but how hard do you want to cheat consumers for their money in the future?

A normal McDonald's... not always very hot, but if you want to exchange it, that's also possible

It's terrible what has become of the former McDonald's. This new design/furnishing or conversion is crazy. They should have kept the old design ~2015 or the one from the 90s. You walk through a narrow labarinth with pillars to the checkout and when you sit you feel cramped and the round arches on the table get in the way while you eat. Chairs and stools are very uncomfortable. Never change a running system! Far Former employee of McDonald's funds.

Unfortunately, our visit to the newly designed branch was very disappointing. It was pitch black in the parking lot, so all the lighting was probably out. It was too cold and drafty inside, even far from the entrance, because there is no vestibule. Unfortunately the food was cold. At least the staff was very friendly.

If I want to order, I cannot pay in cash. All other payment methods don't work either. Really shit. Why isn't cash payment possible?!?!

We've been to McDrive three times since it reopened - each time something was missing. The drinks consist of 80% ice cubes, which makes them almost impossible to consume from these cardboard lids. And the fact that you can't choose a shake with a McChicken menu is absurd. Ronald would be pissed!

The MC always gives me diarrhea

Looks aren't everything. The renovation turned out really well, but if it doesn't work in the kitchen, even a new ambience won't help. Got the wrong drink, Mc Chicken classic without meat, that was a blast anyway. Our neighboring table also had problems eating cold food. Maybe it was an exception and we'll go there again, but what happens when there's a lot going on.

We ordered at the drive in, the older woman yelled at us because there was a loud car behind us. Was totally unfriendly and doesn't seem to have any desire to have contact with customers. As usual, the food was great but the service was a failure. Were forced to accept the receipt because otherwise, according to her, she wouldn't be able to cope.

In the last few years we have been here 2-3 times a month - since the renovation it has been the last crap shop. In two out of three cases the order is wrong, everything is always sold out and you generally stand in McDrive for half an hour. Yesterday I only left McDrive after 1¼ hours (!!!), even though there were only three cars in front of me - there were only 5 to 10 customers in the store. Apparently understaffed. They “couldn’t” pay me back my money either. Oh yes, the order was of course completely wrong again... I had previously given constructive criticism in a really nice and friendly way. She was then laughed at nicely and said, “No, that’s not true, you’re wrong.” Luckily, the two employees knew more about my experiences and experiences than I did…

Everything was freshly prepared and very tasty. Super friendly service, quick processes and a really nice atmosphere after the renovation. We'd love to come back.

Since the last modernization in November, the interior has become rather unfriendly for children. There was a larger playground outside, but it wasn't open. The children were visibly disappointed. The parking situation has deteriorated, it seems like it has only been converted into a drive-in

Quick food for quick hunger. The burgers survive for years without getting moldy; based on my consumption, I expect them to live to be 110 years old.

After the renovation of the restaruant, good luck with finding a parking spot past 5pm after coming back work. You just cant, the parking spots have been halved to accomodate for double drivethru leaving you with no choice but to park on the curb, drive around the parking lot in circles or leave and dont come back.

Downgraded after renovation! Inconsiderate layout - you sit completely in the cold draft and it is uncomfortable. The cigarette smoke also comes from outside directly into the dining area. The rounded seat construction is anything but well thought out. The people sitting on the bench either have to bend one leg completely or twist their back constantly.

Even on a busy Sunday evening, people refuse to give out ice cream like McFlurry because it is supposedly sold out or the machine is broken. Not customer oriented at all

The new, modern McDonald’s looks nice and clean! It was very full when we were there and so we only got the first table to the left of the sliding door. This opens every time a car leaves the McDrive - it pulled like crazy and was super cold. So the food got cold pretty quickly, which of course wasn't so nice. This actually needs to be improved.

Too bad they serve reheated food...this is so gross! No freshly baked fries... normally one has to wait before food is ready, but here they bring everything in 1 minute! It's not tasty and it's cold too...

The food is tasteless, the service cold. That's probably a punishment. They throw salad and ice cubes at each other. One of the worst McDonald's I've ever eaten at. They don't give cola straws after pointing out that there is no straw.

System gastronomy as it shouldn't be. Apparently there is regional monitoring of how long vehicles are parked in the drive-in. This means that here (as in Kamp-Lintfort, for example) you initially get 2-10! You wait minutes at the drive until you can even place your order. This is absolutely annoying and inappropriate. In addition, there is something wrong with pretty much EVERY order. I actually always try to avoid the store until I forget how annoying and annoying this branch is in terms of preparation (extra requests that you PAY for) and waiting times. But after each visit my impression is confirmed again. It sucks, to put it bluntly. 2 stars because the food is mostly okay. But that's more due to McDonald's requirements than this branch.
