We were there for breakfast. Large selection of food and drink. Unfortunately, the waitresses weren't up to speed yet or they were generally in a bad mood - unfortunately I don't know. It's a shame, otherwise there could have been a few more stars here...

I ate breakfast with my daughter and made a reservation online in advance. I advise anyone who wants to get a table after 9 a.m. to reserve online, because then it gets really crowded. The waitress was nice, but I had to pay a little more because my daughter wanted cocoa even though we didn't want coffee for my daughter or champagne for breakfast. The breakfast is very tasty and the squeezed orange juice is really good. We'd love to come back.

The dishes were very appetizingly prepared and were very tasty. Unfortunately we didn't really feel welcome because the waiter gave us the impression that he didn't want to be there. Unfortunately, the technology when ordering has also meant that people no longer even look at you. Otherwise very comfortable. We will therefore still give you a second chance

The two of us spontaneously had dinner here on a Saturday. Great service. I forgot to add whipped cream to my hot chocolate. This was solved charmingly and we all had a smile on our faces. Thank you for the great experience, good, charming service is not extinct.

Quiet, relaxed and easy to reach destination, where you can eat delicious food... menu not too overwhelming, service friendly and courteous... toilet tidy and clean🥰 Highly recommended are the carpaccio as a starter and the club sandwich

We were here as a family on Saturday evening. It was relatively full but the service was very nice and the food came quickly. We enjoyed it very much and had a lovely evening.

If it says 8 a.m. you can't open until 8.05 a.m. Exactly the same thing happened to us on our first visit. The second time we had family with us and wanted to have breakfast at 12 p.m., there was no way. The service staff cares about themselves but not about the guests. The food and drinks are excellent. The service needs to work on itself

Visit 01/12/25, 10:30 a.m. - Reservation in advance with notice not on the door (due to cold) - We have been to Max for breakfast for a long time and are unfortunately very disappointed. We were seated directly at the elevator, not at the door, but the elevator was used as an exit for the staff to smoke. The smoking breaks were actually every 5 minutes and as a result the place was constantly extremely drafty and cold and uncomfortable. We ordered breakfast and wanted crepes for 2 children. The not really friendly (reticent) waitress pointed out that this wasn't available for breakfast, which would probably also be on the internet. On the one hand, it's neither on the menu nor on the internet, there's also a sign in front of the restaurant and, if you make a reservation, "warm food all the time", and on the other hand, it can't be that difficult to make two crepes at 10:30 a.m. - absolutely inflexible and no service thought! The breakfast was okay, but in many restaurants you get more on your plate for the price. When paying, the “bar boss” reacted to the criticism about the unfavorable space and the cold at the elevator in a more than unprofessional manner. We'll spare ourselves his unfriendly statements for now. It has nothing to do with service and respectful behavior towards guests. In the end we were just very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back or recommending it to others. As Dresdeners, we like to visit other restaurants. A positive thing to note is the great ambience of the restaurant!

Very friendly staff. You can also eat currywurst from outside (Curry24) here (good idea in the cold)

We were there for dinner and had a good meal for a fair price. The halloumi salad in particular is highly recommended.

12/14/24 Breakfast. Ordered 18.50€ Max Breakfast. Far too little for the money. A small slice of cheese cut into three parts, mini scrambled eggs, a scrap of ham, mini butter for 3 rolls, 1 O juice, prosecco, coffee with milk all well and good, but you weren't full. We wouldn't go there again. The waitress with red hair did a good job anyway.

We were only here for coffee and dessert but it was delicious. The service is fast and attentive, the prices are good for today's time. And the environment is also very nice.

Drink order was a complete disaster. Something was always missing. You had to constantly ask. The starter arrived after 15 minutes, but unfortunately the kids didn't eat. After half an hour the first 7 had their food. After 45 minutes the next batch came but there were still 4 main courses missing. They came after an hour of waiting. Instead of Röstis, fried potatoes were ordered and Röstis arrived. Burgers were ordered with beef, shortly afterwards it was said that there wasn't enough meat and there was only chicken burgers. Sweet potato fries were also empty. The first ones had finished eating and the others had just started eating. Service staff/temporary help walked past the dirty dishes twice. Only when we told him it would be nice if he cleared away did he get going. The bill came after three minutes. All in all it was the first and last time for me.

Hard rolls, not necessarily lovingly arranged on the plate, food from the menu only brought when asked. Table was fine. However, it dragged the entire time. Not necessarily desired in December. We won't come back.

Nice service in itself, but if you follow a vegan diet it's a bit difficult here 😅 Unfortunately, the girl who served us didn't know much about "vegan" either, but she was still very nice :). The avocado bread was delicious even without the buffala! Unfortunately, the background pop music was a little too loud and annoying for us. But that's definitely a matter of taste.

The food was basically mediocre: a currywurst with mushy fries, at least mayo and ketchup for 1 euro each extra But: The chicken was spoiled!! In the Thai soup with chicken shrimp skewer: 2 pieces of shredded chicken and 1 shrimp and 1 shrimp. The reaction in the restaurant was crazy: The service person said she would pass it on and had a break. The deputy knew nothing and charged the soup in full. When asked, she went to the boss, then had to get her colleague from her break, she went to the boss, then we were offered 1 coffee. After the stay and the wait, we didn't want to stay any longer and said they should deduct a drink from the bill. I also asked why the boss doesn't come to the customers and let the employees walk back and forth. Ultimately it was • not excused, • they insisted on paying for the soup and • deducted the price of a tea. That's not how it works!

We were there for a business breakfast. The menu offers a good selection for breakfast. The orange juice is freshly squeezed, your order arrives quickly. The service team is friendly.

Breakfast and coffee were really delicious. Croissants super fluffy and the jam not too sweet.

There is a pleasant restaurant in the city center. There is very nice service, excellent food. The best welder by far. Last but not least, clean toilets. We will definitely come back here again.

We had dinner at Max yesterday. I simply made a reservation the evening before via the homepage. It's great when it works so easily. The restaurant is really nice, we sat in the gallery and had a great view of everything going on outside the house. The waitress was very friendly, attentive and the food was really tasty. At the table we had burgers/salmon with pasta and a sandwich/various lemonades and dessert...everything looked great and tasted really good. We would love to come back and that's why we give it 5 stars :)

Everything is kind of okay, everything is kind of mediocre...

Vi besøgte stedet ifm. en aften i Dresden. Resauranten ligger fint i Altstadt. Det var en dejlig sommeraften, så vi kunne sidde udenfor - det var dog lidt upersonligt ved nogle store borde. Betjeningen var ikke af de hurtigste - men vi havde ikke travlt. Maden var OK og veltilberedt, men der var ikke gjort så meget ud af anretningen. Mad og pris hang fint sammen.

The two of us spontaneously came there for breakfast on Sunday. We still managed to get a spot even though it was very busy. (Reservation recommended). The breakfast was really good, but the table was small and you had to put all your things on it comfortably. And because there were so many people it was a bit louder, but that's understandable. Service was attentive and quick.

Die Freundlichkeit ist geblieben. Der Rest war enttäuschend. Für 18,50 ein Frühstück. Das waren nur 3 Eier! Das Obst war schon sehr lange auf dem Teller vorbereitet und entsprechend trocken. Butter für 2 Brötchen zu wenig. Der Käse wenig delikat. Was gar nicht ging, die Lautstärke im Restaurant und die jämmerliche Musik. Ich habe am Abend noch Kopfschmerzen. Keine Empfehlung mehr!

Nice location. A little out of the way but still central. You can sit there very comfortably. The service was very nice. The burger was okay so far. Unfortunately the relationship to the surface was not right. Most of the time you only tasted meat. And I felt a little lacking in spice. That didn't stop it, as there was salt and pepper at the table. Conclusion: slightly more upscale snack bar with corresponding prices. But it's very comfortable.

We were here for lunch and dined on the terrace. The double citizen was OK and the fries were average. The cucumber and tomato topping on the burger was much too thick and cut crookedly, which meant that the courageous bite tended to crowd out the side dishes and thus lead to a mess. Given the exorbitant price, not including a salad garnish and enriching the dish with neither mayonnaise nor ketchup is very poor - I think you should also pay extra for the sauces. However, the service was in too much of a hurry for such requests and simply ignored us. According to my companions, the employee was able to take the time to chat with colleagues a little later instead of responding to the guests' needs. In addition, a salt shaker that was present at a slightly angled seasoning test looked more like Niagara Falls in miniature and ensured that salt rained all over the table and plate. The ambience corresponds to a more upscale company canteen level. My conclusion: This was my first and last time here.

Hier ist es leider viel viel zu teuer, für ein paar Eier(2), 2 Scheiben Schinken, 2 Mini Scheiben Käse, bisschen Deko, ein Klecks Frischkäse und einen Cappuccino. 18€ die Zutaten haben für das Gericht keine 4 Euro gekostet. Das geht gar nicht. Wir haben für einen O-Saft 5,10€ bezahlt 0,5l is auch bisschen fett. Sorry das war nichts. Wir haben zu 4. jeder ein Frühstück und jeder dazu was zu trinken 89,-€ bezahlt. Wenn es wenigstens viel gewesen wäre aber es war auch nich dürftig. Nie wieder sorry. Service ist übrigens Top👍

We had breakfast, there are also great vegan breakfast options. The coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice were very good, and all the waitresses were incredibly polite and attentive. I only gave it three stars for the ambience because you don't have a view of the beautiful old buildings outside, but there are nice flower pots and you have sun.

I ordered the breakfast burger and it was super tasty and filling. Service was nice and the restaurant is well located. The only negative point: the price for breakfast seemed a bit too high for Germany (I come from Luxembourg and am used to such prices there)

We had dinner in a small group. The service was very attentive and friendly. Even though someone was there a little later, we were able to eat together. The price-performance ratio was completely appropriate. All the dishes were very pleasantly presented and as far as I can tell, everyone enjoyed it. There is a point deduction for the atmosphere. I still know Café Max from Neustadt. It was always very comfortable there. The old town counterpart unfortunately has an indoor atmosphere. It seems very busy here. Nevertheless, I would come again.

The service is confused, they ignore the customers, even if they bring you the wrong order, they won't even change it for you... the mess on the tables, the dishes that haven't been taken away and the breakfast for 14 euros doesn't match it at all.

Yes, great, we've never been here before, but we'll definitely be back soon. You can eat well here in peace but in the middle of the city. It wasn't full either. Food was delicious and the service was very pleasant.

Super tasty despite somewhat urban prices. The Argentinian beef steak and the vegetarian dishes are also recommended... Very special in summer and wonderful to sit outside. The waiters are also easy-going, friendly and funny. We will definitely come back...

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere...

Pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant. The bruschetta, burger and drinks I had were just perfect. I didn‘t have such a nice burger bun and patty combination for quite some time. The service and atmosphere were okay as you would expect.

Very good food, always very nice as the brunch with buffet is also very extensive. I am even more enthusiastic about the new opening at the Frauenkirche in terms of the ambience and location. 👍🏻

We were looking for a place to have dinner around 7pm on a Friday evening. A place for 5 people was no problem. Despite the central location, quiet and nice space on the terrace. Drinks and food came quickly. Tastes very good.

Modern restaurant with a large beer garden. The menu is very mixed with different dishes from all over the world. The currywurst with sauces in 7 different levels of spiciness is probably well known. Otherwise there are various breakfast options, small dishes, desserts, burgers, Italian and Asian dishes, some classics and local dishes. The offer is completely sufficient, as is the very diverse drinks menu. We had a comfortable table outside and were served quickly by a friendly waiter. I chose the cutlet with baked potatoes and bacon bean rolls and enjoyed a good, cold Radeberger with it. The stir-fry was brought relatively quickly. The portion was mega, I can only guess, but it was at least 300 g of meat. Freshly fried meat should still be juicy on the inside, which was no longer the case here. It was completely fried and a little bit more, i.e. dry. The taste was good and there was enough sauce to balance it out. There were extra steak knives for this. The potatoes were good but could have been a little softer. The bacon bean rolls were ok. The beans could have been a little firmer. The sauce with colorful peppercorns was tasty and not spicy, exactly my taste. There is still room for improvement here. The price was completely ok, and you can't say anything negative about the portion size. You can pay in cash or by card. It was good, but for 5 stars I was missing something extraordinary. I haven't been to the second floor interior yet, but I'll do so later. I can recommend the location.

There were 6 of us eating at Max. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. Compared to the other places we visited in Dresden, I give it 5 stars, especially for the friendly staff.

Food was OK, service was NOT. We were there for breakfast. Why we're unhappy: - The lady that seated us was rude, however our (main) waitress was very nice. - After we were seated, they would not clean the leftovers from the previous guests for a very long time, until we specifically asked them to do it. - The waitress that took our order was not the one that served us. Multiple different people served our orders and they were all quite confused, bringing the wrong things or bringing us something they had served us already. - Although the orders are taken digitally, some orders were wrong - e.g. we ordered extra bread and were brought the wrong type after specifically being asked what kind we want. - One cup came with lipstick on it, but was replaced after we asked. - One coffee was already spilled all over the cup and saucer when it arrived. - We asked for an ashtray, the waitress went for it and we never saw her again. So we asked another one. - I found the food to be OK, but the group I was there with was 50/50 on it.

The table was dirty and my pants were dirty too The fruit salad wasn't fresh, the greens on the strawberries were still there and tasted old. The peach was mushy and tasted very sour

We arrived here spontaneously for breakfast on May 16, 2024 and were seated in the restaurant. Drank really good café crema and ate two very tasty breakfasts; Cheese and old town breakfast. We would like to emphasize the friendly service and beautiful atmosphere.

I actually always eat the beetroot couscous with goat cheese at Max. Last week I was there and ordered this again. The portion was suddenly very small. When I asked whether there was a new chef or the recipe had been changed, I couldn't be given any correct information. The price was the same as always. Very disappointing.

There was no free table inside, so we had to go out and make sure there were blankets. The food was delicious but it took a long time, as did the drinks.

Unfortunately not a nice experience! If you don't reserve, you'll sit outside in the cold. You discuss the food with the service and when the food is there it doesn't taste good. Absolutely not recommended. The bakery around the corner has friendly staff and better food.

Today my wife and I spontaneously had breakfast here and despite not having a reservation we got a table. I had a "fitness breakfast" and can only recommend it, because it's really something different than cheese and ham with boring rolls. Flexible and friendly service. Spacious outdoor area. Very stylishly furnished. I'd love to come back 😊

Very nice atmosphere and nice staff. The tables weren't so close together that you felt crowded. With the great selection of drinks and food, everyone will find something.
