Much has already been written about the concept, and I generally agree that it's good. However, the price-performance ratio isn't right. I think I can expect more for €42 per person without drinks than the food, which all too often arrived lukewarm and was rather average in taste. We often had to guess what exactly the waiter had placed on the table as he walked by, since he mumbled the name and it was difficult to understand. Apart from that, the service was quick and very friendly, even though the wrong drink was brought three times. Overall, though, it's too expensive.

The food was delicious, the cocktails were tasty, and the drinks were very reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. The bacon roll was dry and only had Chio chips on it for crunch. The cinnamon waffle was still raw. The coconut and mango rice balls were inedible. It's a real shame; the food used to be so good there. But we probably won't be going back to Saarbrücken for the hefty price of €43 per person.

Simply WOW! All the dishes are good. Small portions, but delicious. If you'd like to try something new, this is the place to go. The only downside is that you have to wait a bit for the food. But on the plus side, it's all freshly prepared.

It was our first visit to Masons. The online reservation went smoothly. The ordering process is easy to understand, and the tablet is intuitive to use. We managed 17 courses in two hours and were absolutely stuffed afterward :-) I would rate the quality of the food as solidly average. Some dishes were beautifully presented, while others were a bit uninspired. Everything tasted good, but overall, we lacked that "wow" factor. The lemonades (lychee-elderflower) are highly recommended, however. The servers were all friendly, although one or two were occasionally difficult to understand. As a result, we were often left wondering which dish was being served. Since not all dishes in a round are served simultaneously, you essentially spend your time just checking the orders on the tablet against the dishes that have already arrived. Add to that the "stress" of having to eat and order at the same time. A relaxed dining experience is something else entirely. Nevertheless, we liked the concept. However, to make it a more frequent choice, we think it would have to be significantly cheaper. A note regarding the service: on two occasions, the server tried to clear away a drink that wasn't finished. That's unacceptable. Otherwise, the team was really great!

Food is, of course, a matter of taste; for me it was okay, but most of the dishes were only mediocre and had a distinctly Fast Ford feel to them. The individual courses arrived in a chaotic order. My wife, for example, had already had her third course when my second order arrived, and then the first. The ambiance, with its exposed pipes and unplastered concrete ceiling, also didn't appeal to us. And for a price of over €40 plus drinks, we won't be going back.

Probably one of the worst places I have eaten at. All dishes are just some piece of meat with a different mayo sauce. This is not an issue but they all taste almost the same. We reserved a table for two people quite spontaneously on October 26th. The reservation was confirmed online – however, it wasn't saved in the restaurant's system. However, the extremely friendly supervisor responded immediately and initially "parked" us at the bar with free drinks until a table became available. She then apologized several times and genuinely looked after us. That's what real service means – something you rarely experience these days! About the food: The dishes were overall very good, nicely seasoned, and truly delicious. The only thing I would like is that the temperature could have been a bit higher for my taste – some dishes were only lukewarm. Conclusion: A very nice ambiance with outstanding service. We tried the concept, but we won't be regulars – which expressly has nothing to do with the quality or service.

We really enjoyed the culinary journey around the world with Masons. The food was delicious, and it was nice that the portions weren't too large, so we could try a lot. It was great for us to try some new and unfamiliar dishes, dishes you rarely or never find in restaurants. It was a taste experience every time. The ambiance is also very nice, and the service was well above average, very friendly, and we had a lovely and enjoyable evening. I especially wanted to mention that every dish is also available in vegetarian and vegan versions, and that when you make your reservation, you're even asked if you're bringing a dog, as even dogs are welcome here, and you're then assigned a suitable table. I think Masons really thinks of everything, and for us, the trip, even the 1.5-hour drive, was definitely worth it, and we're already looking forward to our next trip around the world at Masons. I can highly recommend Masons in Saarbrücken to anyone who wants to push their taste buds beyond their limits.

It's pretty cool, but unfortunately, it's waaaaaaaaar too loud and cramped. Partitions should be installed between some tables because the noise level is pretty extreme. The staff is great...

I've been to Masons a few times now. The concept itself is quite nice, but when it gets busy, it completely falls apart, and there's constant chaos. Individual dishes sometimes take 20-30 minutes to arrive, then arrive out of order, and there's confusion about who gets what from which order round. If you order dessert in the last round, it arrives, and ten minutes later, you're served another hearty dish from three previous rounds that you don't want anymore. The dishes themselves are quite good, but honestly, in three visits, none of them have really blown me away. The food isn't 100% fresh, and you can see and taste that, because a lot of it tastes very similar. That's not a problem in itself, but the value for money is simply too poor. In my opinion, the concept has potential; other restaurants do much better at a fraction of the price. Unfortunately, Masons isn't at all suitable for going out to eat with friends and chatting, because you're constantly busy trying to keep track of the chaos of late food being delivered and a new round of orders being placed at the same time. It's just stressful. All in all, the only word that comes to mind when it comes to the pricing is outrageous. It's simply not worth it.

The tapas-like concept, where you can order via tablet every six minutes, is a unique selling point that also attracted us. The majority of the dishes were truly delicious. There's also a wide selection for vegetarians and vegans, which you can always choose from the tablet for each dish. Ordering independently via tablet is very fun, but it also leads to stress, especially if you want to push the ordering time to the limit. But that's part of the experience and led to a few laughs. 19-20 orders are possible within the time slot, but you'll almost certainly be full before then. The dishes never really backed up for us and arrived relatively quickly; only one never arrived. The price-performance ratio of €40 is also completely reasonable, considering the sheer variety of dishes. The ambiance is also quite nice, but as in many restaurants, the seating is sometimes very close, which increases the noise level.

An excellent restaurant where you can sample a variety of international specialties. Choose dishes from different continents with a set menu for €40 per person. Food and drinks are ordered on a tablet, and they are served at your table. Meals are served in small quantities, allowing you to sample everything, and you can order as many times as you like... Good cuisine, both for main courses and desserts.

The food was great, the service too, and the location was very nice. They could use some adhesive tape on the bottom of the chairs to prevent the noise from echoing through the restaurant when chairs are moved; it's very distracting. (Hence only 4 stars for ambience.) The fact that you could eat your way through all five continents was really exciting and interesting, and the vegan selection wasn't bad either.

We recently visited this restaurant with three people. For €39.90, you can order a dish from the varied menu every six minutes via tray. Ordering time is limited to a total of two hours. The dishes, typical local dishes from various countries around the world, are served in small tapas, so you can easily try at least 10-12 dishes. The beautifully presented dishes were served to us by the very friendly and attentive staff within three to ten minutes of ordering, so the wait was quite short. Some of the dishes were truly delicious and interesting, especially in terms of seasoning, so we were able to experience many different flavors that evening. However, some components and flavors were repeated frequently. Overall, the restaurant offers a pleasant dining atmosphere, but due to the very poor air conditioning, a visit on hot days is not recommended. In summary, we found the price of the "all-you-can-eat" concept to be appropriate for the service received and the amount of food available. Since our meal was good overall, we will definitely visit this restaurant again sometime and can generally recommend it.

Nice restaurant. Great, large selection of dishes. Despite the time limit and the fact that you can only order a dish once every six minutes, you'll definitely be full. There are plenty of dishes you're not used to. It would be nice if there were more vegan options for desserts, but it's still great that there are so many vegan and vegetarian options. The prices are fair for the selection. Unfortunately, we ended up having to wait 40 minutes for the last order to arrive and then again until we could pay. Up until then, everything was fine. Incidentally, the area doesn't suit the beautiful restaurant.

The day before yesterday, we enjoyed our third visit to Masons. The dishes were deliciously prepared, the service was very quick, and the service was very friendly. Once again, there was nothing to complain about. We're looking forward to new dishes in the coming months and will definitely be back.

It was a brief pleasure. Despite plenty of free tables, we weren't allowed to sit down! Because we didn't have a reservation, the place was half empty.

As always, everything was excellent.

As always, it was a feast for the taste buds. During the two-hour period, you have plenty of opportunity to gorge yourself on dishes from all over the world. Which is something you should expect, given the menu price, which quickly reaches three figures when you add the additional specials and the selection of drinks for two people. The service and attentiveness of the staff were absolutely exemplary, despite the option to order food and drinks via iPad, and the wait times until the next course is brought are well-timed, as long as you don't give yourself more time to order the next course. That's an option, not a must. We were once again completely satisfied. The space and the soundscape/acoustics, even though it's a large restaurant and there were a lot of people there, are significantly better than elsewhere. We'd be happy to come back, as the menu changes throughout the year, always a highlight.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and received a truly warm welcome. The table was lovingly decorated – truly beautiful – and we even received a glass of sparkling wine on the house. The service was incredibly attentive and friendly. You could tell the team was making an effort. It was a truly lovely, relaxing evening for us – we'd love to come back!

It was incredible, I didn't understand the concept when I booked but I was pleasantly surprised, it was very good, lots of little dishes that you can taste, it allows you to eat your fill, not to throw yourself on the food and to taste the prepared dishes with finesse. I really loved it, the waiters are very pleasant and competent, well done to the cooks and the whole restaurant team. 🙏

I've been to Saarbrücken with my friends twice now, and the first time we tried it, I thought it was the best €50 we'd ever spent, and I'd much rather spend that money on such delicious food than anything else. It was a completely new experience. The food was top-quality, the ambiance was perfect thanks to the beautiful furniture, and the service was always spot on, even though it took six minutes to order. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Disappointing and unrecognizable Four years ago, I was so enthusiastic about this restaurant that I even celebrated my birthday there. The concept at the time, the quality of the food, and the value for money completely won me over. Unfortunately, a lot has changed for the worse since then. My last visit to the Saarbrücken branch with my wife on July 2, 2025, was a huge disappointment. The entire concept seemed drastically changed—and unfortunately not for the better. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired; much of it tasted stale or was only lukewarm. Our impression was that the dishes had probably been in the kitchen since lunchtime and were still served to us—absolutely unacceptable. Even more disappointing: Many of the previously really good and delicious dishes have simply been removed from the menu. The current offerings are significantly reduced—and unfortunately, the remaining dishes are simply not worth the visit. Especially shocking: I vomited during my visit—something that has never happened to me in a restaurant before. For this reason, we left the restaurant after just one hour, even though we were originally given two hours. On the positive side, however, the service staff deserves special mention: The employees were very friendly and tried to make the best of the situation. They did everything in their power – thank you for that. It's a shame, because I once highly recommended this restaurant. However, after this experience, I won't be returning.

The food is excellent, but unfortunately, orders get mixed up and are often delayed when you're in a group. You always have to wait six minutes to hand over a new order, but bringing it to the table can often take longer. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, but the kitchen seems to be struggling to keep up with all the orders. And you only have two hours to order from the entire menu. So, regardless of whether your order has already been delivered, you can reorder as soon as you're allowed to.

Food: delicious, varied, for every taste - including vegetarian and vegan. Service: very attentive, fast, and friendly (and not to be envied. The kitchen is in the basement, and the waitresses have to complete a veritable marathon of steps each shift). Location: quite nice inside, a bit noisy outside due to its proximity to the street, but it's usually okay. Parking: generally a problem in Saarbrücken. Recommendable: yes, but only if you haven't eaten all day ;-) - otherwise, after the 10th round of ordering, nothing else will fit in, and so many things will go untried... (Tip: check the menu online beforehand and plan ahead, write down orders if you're sitting with several guests at the table, otherwise you'll quickly get confused about what belongs to whom when serving.) Tip: for dessert, try the caramel ice cream and/or the meringue dream (pavlova) - yummy. Conclusion: always happy to go back!

I recently ate at Mason's with my daughter and her friend – and we were all very impressed. The ambiance is stylish and modern, yet cozy. I had a very comfortable seat, and although it was quite busy, it wasn't too noisy. The food was truly outstanding – fresh, beautifully presented, and very flavorful. I had a vegetarian dish that was wonderfully seasoned. The portion was just right for me, too. I would particularly like to highlight the service: We received a friendly welcome, they checked on us several times, and even though it was busy, no one felt overlooked. I really liked that. I'd love to come back – perhaps next time with my friend from the choir.

This was our first time here. The reservation worked perfectly, and we got a nice table near the edge with our dog. The friendly staff member immediately offered water for the dog. Ordering was seamless, and drinks arrived quickly. Despite ordering both courses at the same time, some of them arrived very late, so we occasionally lost track. Unfortunately, three or four courses were already cold by the time they were served. Otherwise, the food was very tasty and beautifully presented. We'll definitely be back.

Nice restaurant. An original concept where you order various dishes from around the world in tapas form via a tablet. You can order every six minutes for two hours. There's a real selection, and some dishes are even made specifically for vegetarians. Reservations are required because the restaurant is very popular. As an added bonus, the waiters make the effort to speak French.

The food seems like it came straight from the supermarket—the taste is absolutely average. The prices are overpriced, and the dishes are neither authentic nor carefully prepared. While they claim to be from different countries, they don't represent those cuisines in any way. I really can't recommend a visit—except perhaps for people who don't care about money.

To be honest, our great anticipation and excitement for Masons was somewhat dampened after reading the reviews, which often had hardly a single positive comment. Given the relatively high price, you don't want to be disappointed. But: This evening was amazing. The selection of dishes and their preparation are absolutely top-notch. I've never eaten so well and with such variety. It was a fantastic experience. I can't understand the negative reviews, ranging from "frozen food" to "cold to lukewarm" to "not worth the price." We had a fantastic meal, even if we were sometimes surprised by the local-style preparation. The portions are small enough to try many, but large enough to enjoy. Everything was as it should be: hot, cold, crispy, soft, crunchy, hot, savory, etc. I can't find a single negative point. Of course, you'll find a "fault" somewhere if you really want to. For both of us, some dishes arrived late or in quick succession. But if I consider the logistical effort involved in this type of catering (and the restaurant was fully booked on our holiday), then it should be acceptable. What also surprised us were the relatively low prices for non-alcoholic drinks (0.4 l for €4.20) and cocktails for the quality offered. You should definitely book the specials for €1 extra, then the selection is wider and you can eat four additional courses. Great respect for the staff. You do a great job, and your friendliness is contagious. This restaurant is definitely recommended; you simply get to know and appreciate international cuisine better.

Located in the heart of SB, just 150 meters from the Beethoven parking lot and the Saarbahn stop. It was my companion's first time, but I'm a repeat customer. It was a thoroughly successful experience, with no complaints. Thank you, we'll be back.

Perfect as a gift for special occasions. We were there on Mother's Day and the restaurant was completely full. Despite this, the service was fast and very friendly. A positive was that you place your orders via a tablet, so you don't have to talk to the waiter too much. Each person can order one dish every six minutes. You have a total of two hours; we were finished after an hour and a half. Drinks are extra. Payment is made at the table; you have to let the waiter know. Card payments worked. The dishes were delicious and presented in small portions so you could try as many as you wanted. My favorites were Monaco (ravioli) and Mexico (taco). Of course, the price of €39.90 per person is high, but you don't do something like this every week. Definitely recommended for a special experience!

The service and the food were once again very good. We have been there several times and will definitely go back. The dining room is beautifully decorated. I have two small complaints which are why it only got four stars for the ambience. The toilets unfortunately do not match the rest of the restaurant at all. They seem improvised and the taps were loose and wobbly. The second point concerns the changing facility. It is practically in the dining room, is poorly lit and offers hardly any space to put on utensils. You will be watched by one or two guests while you change your diaper, which is unpleasant for both parties. Rather strange.

We'll be back again and again! The staff was super friendly. Our orders arrived promptly and were delicious. The selection is varied and even suitable for children.

My husband and I enjoyed another wonderful meal here on Saturday May 10, 2025 at our favorite restaurant. The food was, as usual, amazing. What was additionally wonderful was the new manager. She was courteous, friendly, professional and very welcoming - this made our dining experience even more special. The best part though, was our server, ADAM. This young man is customer service personified. His knowledge of the menu and the new items was first class. He kept checking on us for feedback on those items. We had the pleasure of watching him interact with the customers at his various tables. ALWAYS with a smile. He was never too busy to give them his FULL attention. This young man is such an asset to Mason's Saarbrücken. We will always look forward to our next visit, trusting that Adam will be the person to wait on us. Kudos to the new manager for whatever she is doing to encourage her staff in first class customer service. To Adam, you are Mason's. You make our dining experience more than worth the trip. KUDOS, KUDOS, KUDOS. And as always...amazing food. Highly recommend this restaurant. Very satisfied customer.
