Masala Taste of India in Gifhorn

I won't order from this restaurant again. I waited two hours for my delivery without any notice that it would take longer. Two hours later, I received a cancellation email with no apology. Unbelievable...

After the buffet, severe stomach upset. Naan -not good and sour taste. Buffet is not worth for money. Overall disappointed with the food

We discovered Masala by chance while looking for a restaurant around 4 p.m. and were warmly welcomed by the owner(?). Even at that time, it was no problem ordering something from the menu. The food was exceptionally tasty and well-prepared, and the service was friendly and unobtrusive. Something I rarely comment on: the restaurant was incredibly clean. If we ever come back to Gifhorn, Masala will definitely be our first choice for dinner.

Today was my first visit to Masala because I love Indian food and wanted to try something different from all the Turkish restaurants nearby. The restaurant looks rather unassuming both inside and out. We were also the only guests eating there at the time. The menu was a bit confusing, but it was easy to navigate. The staff was really friendly and, in my opinion, served us very well. When the food arrived with some bread, it immediately smelled incredibly good. And the food absolutely lived up to its reputation. I've eaten Indian food several times before, but today's meal at Masala was truly excellent. I will definitely visit Masala more often from now on so I can try more of the menu. If you want to enjoy delicious Indian food in Gifhorn and the surrounding area, you must visit Masala. There's nothing more to say.

We had a wonderful evening at Masala. There's a wide selection of starters and main courses, with something for everyone. The chutneys are fresh and delicious, like everything we've tried so far. We were also very impressed with the service; they always anticipated our requests or made recommendations. As is common in Indian restaurants in Europe, they offer a different level of spiciness than the one typically found in India, which we're happy to accept 😏 We'll be back!

The service was very friendly and initially quick. It took a while for the masala chai and food to arrive. After the meal, the waitress didn't show up for (too) long, so I had to go in for the espresso and the bill. The food was OK.

We ordered delivery to the hotel and our impressions were unanimous: "We have never eaten anything so wonderful". This taste is amazing and brilliant. We ordered 3 dishes and I am impressed. The three of us went there for a buffet meal with our 8 year old daughter and can only recommend it. Super friendly staff and very tasty food. We particularly liked the fact that as adults we could take the buffet while the child could order nuggets with fries from the menu and she was still allowed to try the buffet too. I ate the Malai kofta today and the bullets (kofta) tasted very garlicky. Both the owner and the employee confirmed to me that the bullets were garlic-free. I recognize, or you can recognize, when something tastes so much like garlic. I thought mango lassi, basmati rice and naan were tasty. You could have told the truth!

It's a super delicious restaurant! There is a large selection of delicious food. I go there very often with my boyfriend. Our favorite food there is Chicken Makhani and we can only recommend it to anyone who is unsure about their choice. The staff there is super friendly and you feel very comfortable there. At the weekend you can try the buffet there, there is something for everyone and it is a great way to get to know the diversity of Indian cuisine.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Gifhorn. The food is always exceptionally delicious. The portions are so big that I always take the rest home with me. The employees are friendly. We were even surprised once with free bread and dessert. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Since I'm very picky and don't like spiciness in food (and can't tolerate it), I've always opted for other restaurants. But the neighboring girls wanted to try out the Indian and said I would find something FURTHER... Ok, I went for it. Very nice service who patiently answered all of our questions. Bread unexpectedly free in advance and delicious sauces to try. Everyone ordered something different for the main courses and all 5 were completely satisfied and I was thrilled. No. 42 Chicken with mild coconut curry sauce. Everyone got a big bowl of delicious rice. Far too much, but it wasn't a problem to take with you as it was too bad to throw away.... Then there was a sweet little something to finish it off. Also very tasty, a kind of chocolate cake in a ball shape. Rice pudding was a bit runny, but ok. Combination with the chocolate cake would have been ideal. But that was just a suggestion from the girls. As I said, everything is very tasty and calls for repeating... The extraordinary DOUBLE toilet invites you to chat with the neighbor 🤣🤣🤣

Buffet for €19.99 per person. The food tasted and looked terrible and was partly cold. The ambience can be compared to an outdated canteen. The service was not very active, but polite. We were very disappointed, a shame for the time and money.

Das hat in Gifhorn noch gefehlt: ein sehr gutes indisches Restaurant! Das Essen ist sehr sehr lecker. Man schmeckt Rechenrecht die frische der Lebensmittel. Ich finde es auch sehr gut dass das Curry nicht zu scharf ist. Ich vertrage scharfes essen leider nicht so deswegen finde ich es super das sie auch Curry im Angebot haben was nicht so scharf ist. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und auch nicht zu aufdringlich. Der Lieferservice funktioniert sehr zuverlässig. Das Essen kam immer wie versprochen an und war auch noch sehr warm bei der Ankunft.

Leckeres und günstiges Essen. Nette Bedienung. Etwas nüchternes Ambiente. Komme gerne wieder.
