The waiters are always extremely polite and funny and we feel very welcome here. It is our favorite place to eat Indian food since the portions are plenty and it tastes amazing every single time.

Masala is a fantastic experience! The food is phenomenal and stays hot! They replenish the rice as it is finished so you’re never low. The wine is delicious!! Try the Indian white—it’s a chenin blanc! The staff is so kind and make you feel like a princess!! You never have to ask for them to come to the table because they just know! Haha! Being new to the area one of my partners must haves is a good Indian restaurant. We ultimately decided on Masala Indisches as I wanted to try a drink I saw in another review. They far exceeded our expectations! We tried a different restaurant previously that had good reviews and came recommended but were very disappointed. Per my partner, this has been by far the best Indian food he’s ever had. We’ve eaten in and have gotten takeout. Both times delicious. We also have children that aren’t yet “adventurous” with food, so it’s a bonus they have pommes and chicken nuggets so that we can dine there and have a nice meal out as a family. The decor and ambiance is also great.

Top marks 👍 ———— Ordered online and delivered: We ordered online for 13 people well in advance; vegetarian, lamb fillet, chicken, and duck, everything was included. The online delivery time was exceeded by about 10 minutes. Considering the amount of food and a distance of over 15 km, this was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious, piping hot, and the portions were more than ample. The price was perfectly reasonable and not expensive when you compare similar services in larger cities. We'd gladly order again anytime, and always so quickly 👍

I've been to many Indian restaurants in various cities, and this one is by far the best. Every dish I've eaten there has been sensationally good, especially the masala naan. The service couldn't be better either. It's well worth the longer drive from Munich.

A true highlight in Neumarkt! Masala is without a doubt one of the best Indian restaurants in the region. The food is incredibly aromatic and freshly prepared – you can taste the spices and the attention to detail in every bite. I especially recommend the Chicken Jalfrezi and the Garlic Naan – simply heavenly!

There is a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, and the masala chai is delicious. It's advisable to reserve a table, especially on weekends. In the summer, you can also sit outside in the leafy courtyard. The service is very friendly.

Wonderful place with a huge choice of authentic Indian cuisine including great meat and veggie choices. Drinks were excellent as well — we had deaft local pils, Indian wine and delicious Indian mango schnapps (the latter was offered on the house!) We had the vegetarian (or one portion even specifically vegan) lunch menu, which was delicious, with great, very friendly service. It's especially suitable for vegans; there's an entire page of purely vegan dishes, vegan bread specialties (including naan!), and vegan lassis.

Very tasty food, both meat and vegetarian. The staff is very nice, friendly, and accommodating. The restaurant is conveniently located in the old town and is therefore very easy to reach both on foot and by car. Parking is available at any time in the adjacent parking garage. The interior is very attractive, and in the summer, seating is available in a small courtyard. Update from August 27, 2025 We were there for dinner today. As always, exceptionally delicious and highly recommended. And they also deliver to your home without the need for Lieferando. Just ask.

We went there for dinner with the family. It was our adult daughter's birthday. We were served very friendly right from the start. The staff kept making jokes, so we had a lot of fun. My absolute favorite restaurant! Masala is my “go-to” place – not only because the food is incredibly delicious, but also because of the unique atmosphere and the warmest team imaginable. I come from the catering industry myself and can say with conviction: Everything is just right here. The entire staff is consistently friendly, courteous and simply human. Since I'm a regular here, I'm now even greeted with a handshake - a gesture that's become rare these days, but always puts a smile on my face. What I particularly appreciate: After dinner there is almost always a liqueur or chai on the house - a loving tradition that hardly anyone maintains anymore. And it's exactly these little things that make Masala so special. I often get a little something extra without even asking - be it a small greeting from the kitchen or a drink. Like today, for example: I was there with friends, we relaxed and drank cocktails - and the boss personally came to our table and brought us shots on the house. Just like that. This is real service and pure warmth! Even if I order something to-go and have to wait a moment, I am always offered a lassi - also on the house, of course. And once when I didn't want one, I just got a soda bottle instead - you have to imagine that! In a time when efficiency is often the only focus, such personal, sincere interaction is simply priceless. And most important: the food! It's a pleasure every time. More than 5 stars would be appropriate here - an experience every time. Dear Masala team, you are great! I recently ordered and the food was delivered before the requested time, it arrived warm and very nicely (and safely) packaged. The ordering system via the website works without any problems. I can only report positive things when visiting the restaurant, spontaneous reservations have always been possible, and the service is great, the service staff are always friendly and attentive.
