Since it opened, we have always enjoyed being guests in the restaurant. The owner was hospitable and the food was very good. Since the restaurant became very popular and you don't actually need to stop by without a reservation, the owner has become more and more unfriendly. So success doesn't seem to bring out the best. I've noticed this unpleasantly on previous visits when guests come to the restaurant and don't have a reservation and are treated in a passive aggressive and annoyed manner. I have already experienced a situation in which the reservation was lost, but the guests were assumed to be lying. So far it hasn't affected me, but you don't want to experience that kind of atmosphere at a cozy dinner. But today it was really full. An individual came in without a reservation. It was probably audacious for the owner to ask for a table as an individual and then without a reservation! The owner reacted annoyed and told him he should wait. Meanwhile another employee came and asked if he can help him and said that he doesn't have a reservation and is waiting for a table. Then the owner came to him angrily and reprimanded him why he dared to talk to other employees, after all he told him that he had to wait. The guest ended up leaving and we were actually next. Nevertheless, we were ignored for quite a while and other customers who came much later and were in line behind us were served first. We then spoke to him. He reacted very aggressively, if we don't like it, we can leave. After such antisocial behavior, we canceled our reservation for 4 people and went to eat somewhere else. We are really shocked by the disrespectful behavior and have also noticed that other guests notice this. You want to have a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere when you go out to eat and not feel like you have to have moral courage and rush to help other guests. In fact, I'm surprised at the many good reviews because, as written above, I've experienced similar situations in restaurants several times. We will no longer go to a restaurant with an owner who shows no respect.

The food was very tasty, but vegetarians go home hungry because of the very small portion at a very high price - it was of course a main course - which unfortunately is more reminiscent of a side dish. It's also a shame that no service came by, just ask. When we paid we mentioned that we would have liked at least a portion of rice with it. Afterwards we had a pretzel in the theater.

Great food and a really pleasant, relaxed atmosphere there. The boys are in a great mood. The only downside - depending on where you sit, it can be a bit "pull" in the colder months if you sit too close to the entrance. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back.

A great evening with divine food. The appetizer plates were empty in no time and the dips were eaten down to the last spoonful. It was exactly the same with the platters with the main courses (meaty and vegetarian). Then there's the amazing dessert from the large plate for sharing spoons and the tea ceremony. 100% recommended, good service and very friendly staff - very deserved 5 stars

We were in Marrakech for our team's Christmas party. We were impressed by the atmosphere! A little piece of Maghreb in the middle of Kassel! The hosts have brought a piece of Morocco to Germany. You come into this wonderful ambience and are served in a friendly manner - nothing to be desired! The food? The madness! From various vegetable variations to perfectly cooked lamb fillet to excellent desserts from the Orient, there is everything your heart desires. In any case, Marrakech and its employees are definitely worth recommending!

Always an outstanding experience! The food - the service - the friendliness - simply awesome! You can find it in very few restaurants when 4 hours fly by because you forget everything else around you and feel like you've arrived in Morocco. I can only recommend this experience to everyone!

We went to the Christmas party with 7 people and we were all thrilled. The food was incredibly tasty, sufficient and left us all more than full. The saffron sauce was particularly delicious. The restaurant also has a cozy atmosphere and you really feel completely at home. A highlight was the tea serving with a personal show by the owner... I'll definitely be back soon. :)

Worst service ever had in my life,really disappointed with staff service,they want to take the plate while eating,(still remaining in plate,but want to take away),unfriendly services,have to wait long time even though not fully busy in restaurant.

We were here a week ago, on a Saturday, with the first shift. When we arrived there were already a lot of people at the door. The order was taken quickly and without eye contact. It was all very hectic. One of us didn't get her drink, which we had to ask several times. The same thing happened with their food. That didn't happen either. Then, when the others were already half finished, the food arrived. No apology or anything. The food itself wasn't anything special. We've had Moroccan food before and this was just a bit disappointing. We had the impression that many guests came for a quick meal before heading to the theater around the corner. We had reserved a table here based on the good reviews, but unfortunately we didn't experience the special taste and dining experience that others had.

Wow! My first time Moroccan but definitely not the last time! The chicken skewers taste great and the side dishes go perfectly with them. Price-performance ratio is 100%, the boss makes every customer feel like they are part of the family.

Yesterday evening, for the second “shift”, we had a delicious meal in the Marrakech restaurant with a very large group. The starters and main courses were all super tasty and authentic. Everyone enjoyed it and we had a lovely evening. Since we had a birthday child with us, a spontaneous serenade was played. It was a lot of fun and we celebrated well past opening hours. The owner and the staff were very nice and the service was good despite the restaurant being full. A visit is definitely worth it, both in terms of taste and people. The 5 stars are very well deserved.

Today, I had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant, thanks to Chef Marwan. My husband arranged for a special order of Moroccan couscous with vegetables, chicken, and tfaya to satisfy my pregnancy cravings, and Marwan made it happen despite the restaurant being very busy. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic Moroccan flavors, and the atmosphere was just perfect. The decor, the hospitality, and the overall vibe made me feel right at home—it truly felt like being back in Morocco. Thank you, Marwan, for your kindness and for going the extra mile to make this day unforgettable for me and my baby. This is, without a doubt, the place to go for an authentic Moroccan experience!

There were three of us eating there, the tables are so narrow that you can hear everything from your neighbors and have no space at all! The service is really bad, even the stupid hats don't help anymore! When I asked for clean cutlery I was actually made to wait 5 minutes, a great educational measure!!!! The price for what is ultimately served is far too high! Little quality has to give way to cheaper side dishes quantity! I've been there once, but there definitely won't be a second time!

Restaurant Marrakesh – A real highlight in Kassel! We absolutely loved our visit to the Marrakesh restaurant. As soon as you enter the restaurant you can feel the oriental flair. – the furnishings are authentic and create a cozy, warm atmosphere that immediately creates a holiday feeling. The food was an absolute highlight! Every dish was fresh, aromatic and perfectly seasoned. The selection of traditional Moroccan dishes is impressive and leaves nothing to be desired. The service was also excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Value for money: absolutely appropriate for the quality you get. If you fancy a culinary short break in Morocco, Marrakesh is the right place for you. We would love to come back!

The furnishings and the entire ambience are overall very cozy and authentic. The owner and all the employees were also super courteous and open-minded. Very tasty food. Mostly nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the entrance area is not very inviting as it looks very untidy (like a warehouse). Some of the staff were constantly on their cell phones in the middle of the dining room. In addition, very loud beeping can often be heard from the kitchen (like in a fast food restaurant). I find it quite inappropriate in a serious restaurant. But otherwise great.

It was a wonderful evening, the service was nice and quick, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice

Unfortunately, I wasn't completely convinced by the Marrakech restaurant in Kassel. As soon as I entered, I noticed that the entrance area and the entire restaurant seemed very narrow and uninviting. On a positive note, the drinks were served quickly and the homemade rose lemonade and Arabic mocha were really delicious. The starter also came relatively quickly, but the waiting time for the main course was extremely long at 80-90 minutes. To make matters worse, guests at neighboring tables who arrived later received their dishes before us. When I asked for Arabic bread instead of rice with my dish, I was kindly explained that bread would be served anyway. However, the bread only came to the table after I had finished and was just plain flatbread. My chicken skewer dish was okay, but honestly I would have made it tastier at home. Despite the starter, the portion was unfortunately so small that we were still hungry after eating and had to eat something else afterwards. The service was nice when a waiter came by, but unfortunately that happened far too rarely. Overall, the service contributed greatly to my rather disappointing overall impression.

Super great shop. It was our first time eating Moroccan food. It was a great experience in this store. I have rarely eaten such tender meat. Service, staff and price/performance leave nothing to be desired. The boss in particular lives this with his heart and soul. We'll be back!

I found out about the restaurant online and didn't regret the visit. The ambience, the staff, the chef and of course the food made the evening end perfectly. A very tasty starter with prawns, a salad and Moroccan-style pastes started the meal. The lamb is very tender and fried to perfection, as are the vegetables. The rice was great and the homemade sauces also tasted very good. Finally, I can recommend a fresh mint tea to everyone. Very successful concept and a nice experience. Thanks to everyone involved. Gladly again.

It was a wonderful evening. Birthday invitation for my daughter and all expectations were exceeded. We deliberately chose the appetizer platter so that we could experience a journey through all the flavors on offer and... it was varied, the differences of pistachios, olives, lentils, mango, etc. left nothing to be desired. The main course was intentionally a variation of the usual dishes in order to orientate ourselves in terms of taste. The rack of lamb, rack of lamb strips, minced beef, chicken skewers and sausages... with potatoes and seasoned rice... but the saffron sauce... I assume there's some magic in it. We both thought it tasted “magical”. To cool down we had a mocha according to the house recipe and that set us up again for dessert. Next time we will just ask for the boss's recommendation and enjoy. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
