I'm Moroccan myself, and I brought my German family there to try Moroccan food. We only intended to try it once, but they enjoyed it so exceptionally that we now go there together at least once a month. The food was also very special for me; it reminded me so much of my mother's cooking. The service was very friendly and welcoming. You truly experience traditional Moroccan cuisine there, not only through the food but also through the decor and the entire atmosphere. I can't thank them enough and highly recommend this restaurant. The owner, Merouane, has brought a piece of Morocco to Kassel.

We spontaneously decided to visit Marrakech after the Christmas market and received a wonderfully warm welcome. Even though the kitchen was officially closed, they still managed to whip up a fantastic appetizer platter for us. Absolutely delicious, and next time we'll have more time to enjoy the trip even more! 😋🤩

The service was fantastic, and the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. This definitely won't be my last visit. I will absolutely recommend this restaurant. The ambiance completely captivated me; everything is so lovingly arranged, reminiscent of an old market. You can just feel the heart and soul that went into it. What I remember most vividly is the hospitality. The waiters, and especially the owner, dedicate an incredible amount of time to their guests. He explains everything calmly, greets everyone so warmly, and immediately creates a welcoming and open atmosphere. Those who participate in the tea ceremony experience something truly special and feel the hospitality in a completely different and deeply meaningful way. And the food was simply delicious. I recommend that everyone choose the Moroccan Journey menu instead of ordering from the à la carte menu, as it allows you to experience the diversity of the cuisine in a unique and truly authentic way. For me, Marrakech was one of the best restaurants in Kassel. I can truly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something special and not just go out for a meal, but is looking for a really nice overall experience!

I can't even click on enough stars to give it all :) It was quite full, but our table was arranged super quickly. The service and the advice (vegan/lactose-free) were fantastic. The food was amazing; I highly recommend the vegetarian appetizer platter and the homemade lemonade. A restaurant with openness, practical solutions, love, and passion, complete with a tea ceremony, fêtes, glitter, flower petals, music, and magic! I don't know if it's always like this. Will I come back to find out? Absolutely :)

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday at Marrakesh and it was phenomenal! The food was absolutely delicious and we were incredibly well looked after. All the staff were top-notch, and the bill wasn't nearly as high as I expected. I'd love to come back again, and props to the owner!

All around, it was fantastic—just forgetting the world for a while and enjoying it. Never before has food captivated and delighted me so much. From the amazing rice to the most delicious grilled vegetables to the perfectly cooked, naturally seasoned meat. Thank you for a brief evening of happiness and contentment.

This was our first time there with the family. The food tasted good, but some details need improvement. My daughter's juice was forgotten in our drinks order. We wanted to toast and waited 10 minutes to see if she would receive her drink. We had to ask at the register, and they said that juice was no longer available. We also asked twice if we could have extra flatbread with our appetizer. Two different employees said yes, immediately. However, we never received the bread. I had the impression that the staff was very attentive in serving the food quickly and attractively, but after that, they didn't bother to attend to the guests again. Only when we had completely finished were we asked if we wanted anything else, but it was too late. Perhaps it was because we weren't a large group. There were larger groups in the restaurant that evening, and they were served more frequently.

I'd love to come back again. The food and atmosphere, combined with the staff, are fantastic!

The food met our expectations; it was very tasty, and the price was reasonable. However, we found the noisy atmosphere disruptive and uncomfortable, especially the constant background noise from the telephone (which really did ring continuously), music, beeping sounds from the kitchen, and two small, trickling decorative fountains.

We and our team, a total of 18 people, visited MarrakecH in Kassel, and I can only say it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Even the preparations were incredibly relaxed. I spoke with the chef beforehand, told him what we had in mind, and he suggested taking us on a little "journey through Moroccan cuisine." He took our budget into account, calculated everything fairly, and put together a fantastic menu. When we arrived, we received an extremely warm welcome. The entire team was super friendly and attentive; you could immediately tell that they really enjoyed their work. I particularly liked the fact that the chef personally came to our table several times and explained exactly what was on our plates each time. Right from the start, he also asked about any allergies or intolerances, and everything was truly tailored to suit everyone. That's by no means a given these days. The location itself is simply cozy. You step inside and immediately feel like you're in another world. The decor is reminiscent of a Moroccan bazaar: colorful, full of detail, yet totally tasteful and not at all over the place. It truly felt like we were on vacation in Morocco. And then the food: amazing! There was a colorful mix of different pastes, creams, and vegetables, rice, bread, potatoes, and a selection of meat dishes, from sausages to fillets, poultry, and liver to lamb chops. Everything was perfectly seasoned, super tender, and simply unbelievably delicious. The drinks were also excellent, fruity, refreshing, and perfectly matched. As a special finale, there was a small tea ceremony after the main course. The tea was poured in the traditional way, accompanied by music, a wonderful experience that perfectly rounded off the evening. The bottom line: an unforgettable evening, a great team, a beautiful atmosphere, and a meal that truly delighted everyone at the table. I can wholeheartedly recommend the MarrakecH in Kassel. While the food was of acceptable quality, it was too greasy, leaving me with a stomachache after my visit to the restaurant. The cocktails were tasteless, and the music was too loud. Just tried the winner of "My Local - Your Local"... and found it very good. The ambiance is reminiscent of no alleyways in Morocco. The food is authentically tailored to the German palate. The quality of the meat, vegetables, and salads was excellent. The service staff was pleasant and friendly and was able to answer all our questions about the ingredients. Conclusion: hyped up, but now falling short of its own, presumably high, standards. MarakecH won't entice you to return for a long time.
