Best place in Kassel to have authentic Moroccan vibes!

I can only recommend this great restaurant! The food is delicious and lovingly prepared, the staff are warm and the atmosphere is cozy. It's definitely worth making a reservation here because it's always full - and rightly so!

Centrally located with unfortunately only a few parking spaces in front of the store. But there are paid parking spaces everywhere not far away. The interior design lives up to the name of the restaurant, it is really nicely decorated. The only thing I have to complain about is that I asked for a nice place and unfortunately this was not taken into account. Despite having an appointment, you had to wait until you got to your seat. But that's how it happens every now and then in well-running companies. You got the menu quickly and the service was very nice. The starter plate as well as the main courses were really tasty, there was nothing to complain about except that the portions were a bit small in my opinion. All in all it was a great evening. This restaurant is highly recommended.

The food is really very good, creative and tasty. Other than that, the owner's warmth makes the perfect addition. For me they are very good falafels, if not the best in Kassel. Saffron sauce, dessert, mocha coffee all together make a more than delicious combination - a little short vacation

As always, a true taste experience! This time Marouane delighted us with two delicious tangia (pre-order only). Both the lamb and beef were incredibly tender – knife? Absolutely unnecessary! We always enjoy coming here because the food is simply amazing every time. Absolute recommendation!

Outstanding restaurant. There's a reason it's usually fully booked. Good food at a reasonable price. If you can tolerate spicy, you should definitely ask for the sauce from the chef. Be careful for normal Germans it will be too spicy.

Although we didn't come to Kassel to explore the city, hunger forced us to explore the restaurants. What do we want to eat?! Something we haven't eaten before! Ok, we search, we follow the reviews... and Google brings us to Restaurant MarrakecH. At first we were amazed by the colorfulness, what a refreshment for dad...the ambiance is very special! Then we amazed our taste buds...but I'll stop there with the story and say Restaurant MarrakecH is worth a visit even by accident.

A great evening with divine food. The appetizer plates were empty in no time and the dips were eaten down to the last spoonful. It was exactly the same with the platters with the main courses (meaty and vegetarian). Then there's the amazing dessert from the large plate for sharing spoons and the tea ceremony. 100% recommended, good service and very friendly staff - very deserved 5 stars

I had dinner there with my family on Saturday last week. At first I thought it was a bit loud and crowded, but I didn't know the concept of the store. In the end it all made sense. Service was very attentive and very helpful in choosing the food! And the food was all so extremely good! I haven't eaten THIS well in a long time. Starters were very well designed, there was almost too much to choose from on the plate. Main course was incredible and the saffron sauce was perfect! Dessert was so incredibly delicious, not too sweet, but still for the sweet tooth. I'd be happy to come back if the quality remains the same! 5/5 stars more than deserved

We really enjoy coming here to eat. We really like the ambience in the back area. This time we had soup and khubuz as a starter and a lamb or salmon dish as the main course. All dishes were perfectly cooked and deliciously orientally seasoned. The lamb fillet was tender and tasty, not at all musty in taste. The salmon was cooked to perfection and seasoned excellently. The side dishes and sauces are always appropriate and unique in taste. The service is friendly and quick. The owner puts his heart and soul into it, which you can clearly feel. The restaurant lives because of him. Please make sure to reserve in advance!

One of the nicest restaurants I've eaten in so far. We had the appetizer plate and the grill plate. We were impressed by the colors and freshness of the individual dishes. We had absolutely nothing to complain about in terms of taste, the meat was super tender and the saffron sauce is an absolute highlight. We had a really special evening, the hospitality and warmth from all the staff is incredible. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Food is very tasty and plentiful. Furthermore, it is beautifully prepared and there is something for everyone. In the Restaurant itself is quite narrow, but also cozy. The bags on display can be purchased. Everything was very successful!!!

Staying here is like a mini vacation 😊The food is incredibly good and the service is perfect. As a guest you feel completely well looked after here. There is even the opportunity to browse around a bit and buy something if you are interested. From bags, cloths and typical country dishes, there is definitely something for everyone and most of the proceeds go to children and women who need help. Personally, I was completely impressed by everything here. It's not possible to just go here spontaneously because the restaurant is usually fully booked and once you've been here you immediately understand why that is. Starter, main course and bedside table were a taste explosion. The smell when you enter the restaurant speaks for itself. Here a lot of emphasis is placed on freshness and quality and service and kitchen work with heart, hand in hand. We had our table opposite the open kitchen and it was an experience in itself. Went here for the first time this evening to have a delicious meal for my sister's birthday. We haven't experienced such a lovely evening in a long time. The whole team was very, very nice and warm, and the entire meal was really a culinary delight. If it were possible, we would also give 10 stars. Kudos to how you do it all. We were in Marrakech on February 1, 2025 and it was overwhelmingly good. The service and ambience were top. You completely felt like you were on vacation in Morocco. The food is a real taste explosion, from the starter to the main course to dessert. 10 out of 10 points. Another highlight was the tea ceremony, which was booked by my nephew for my sister-in-law's birthday and all guests were included. Great. Absolutely high level! We'd love to come back.

We were there with a large group, were served very quickly and the kitchen prepared delicious food! Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes were plentiful in the menu and the value for money was definitely there. The restaurant itself has a very pleasant and warming atmosphere, which is well designed in a Moroccan way :) I would be happy to come back and can only recommend it!

Today we had dinner with Chef Marouane in his beautiful and authentic restaurant, we were all extremely enthusiastic and 100% satisfied with everything. Always happy ☺️

There were four of us in Marrakech. I made the table reservation a few days beforehand and it is probably absolutely necessary. The restaurant was very busy on a Tuesday at 6 p.m. So it was already clear to us that everything would take a little longer, and that wasn't a problem for us. We ordered Aladin's miracle platter for 4 people. The food was served on a nice large plate. Our plates were brought to us 5-10 minutes later, so we could think carefully about what we wanted to eat first. When the plates arrived, my daughter discovered leftover salad from the previous person. I then wanted to give her my plate and noticed that there was still dressing from the previous person on my plate. The plates are beautifully colored and so you can't tell at first glance how clean they are. Wiped over it with a white napkin and the napkin was brown. After a complaint the two plates were changed. These were clean but all four plates have really big chips and should no longer be used in a restaurant. Afterwards, my daughter found hair in the food and she completely lost her appetite. At the end, two additional drinks will be added to the bill. After another complaint, the invoice was corrected. I don't understand how this restaurant can be rated so highly. Today, after talking to work colleagues about it, I realize that other people have had these problems before me. I can only issue a big warning. We can't get 100 horses back in there. Order and cleanliness is a foreign concept and there was nothing as an excuse. Sad 😢

Delicious food… just like the food in Marrakesh 🫶🏻

We had a reservation for 4 people. Customers before us had already been treated in a derogatory and truly rude manner, which made us all very uncomfortable. I waited in line and was ignored several times. Then the owner started asking other guests about their reservation. And I then said that I also had a reservation because I was at the front of the line. He told me if I didn't like it, I should leave. I was still waiting for my companions and was told to stand in a corner. Then he ignored me for another few minutes before telling me to wait for my table to be made. The nice waiters seem very oppressed to me. We actually left because of the rude tone. Dear owner, we were your first guests a few years ago and the great reviews at the very beginning came from us. We thought your idea was great, the food was great, your hospitality. Unfortunately, you have lost this as your success has increased. The respect comes with it. My friends and I were there last time.

Since it opened, we have always enjoyed being guests in the restaurant. The owner was hospitable and the food was very good. Since the restaurant became very popular and you don't actually need to stop by without a reservation, the owner has become more and more unfriendly. So success doesn't seem to bring out the best. I've noticed this unpleasantly on previous visits when guests come to the restaurant and don't have a reservation and are treated in a passive aggressive and annoyed manner. I have also experienced a situation in which the reservation was lost, but the guests were assumed to be lying. So far it hasn't affected me, but you don't want to experience that kind of atmosphere at a cozy dinner. But today it was really full. An individual came in without a reservation. It was probably audacious for the owner to ask for a table as an individual and then without a reservation! The owner reacted annoyed and told him he should wait. Meanwhile another employee came and asked if he can help him and said that he doesn't have a reservation and is waiting for a table. Then the owner came up to him angrily and reprimanded him why he dared to talk to other employees, after all he told him that he had to wait. The guest ended up leaving and we were actually next. Nevertheless, we were ignored for quite a while and other customers who came much later and were in line behind us were served first. We then spoke to him. He reacted very aggressively, if we don't like it, we can leave. After such antisocial behavior, we canceled our reservation for 4 people and went to eat somewhere else. We are really shocked by the disrespectful behavior and have also noticed that other guests notice this. You want to have a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere when you go out to eat and not feel like you have to have moral courage and rush to help other guests. In fact, I'm surprised at the many good reviews because, as written above, I've experienced similar situations in restaurants several times. We will no longer go to a restaurant with an owner who shows no respect.

The food was very tasty, but vegetarians go home hungry because of the very small portion at a very high price - it was of course a main course - which unfortunately is more reminiscent of a side dish. It's also a shame that no service came by, just ask. When we paid we mentioned that we would have liked at least a portion of rice with it. Afterwards we had a pretzel in the theater.

We were in Marrakech for our team's Christmas party. We were impressed by the atmosphere! A little piece of Maghreb in the middle of Kassel! The hosts have brought a piece of Morocco to Germany. You come into this wonderful ambience and are served in a friendly manner - nothing to be desired! The food? The madness! From various vegetable variations to perfectly cooked lamb fillet to excellent desserts from the Orient, there is everything your heart desires. In any case, Marrakech and its employees are definitely worth recommending!

We went to the Christmas party with 7 people and we were all thrilled. The food was incredibly tasty, sufficient and left us all more than full. The saffron sauce was particularly delicious. The restaurant also has a cozy atmosphere and you really feel completely at home. A highlight was the tea serving with a personal show by the owner... I'll definitely be back soon. :)

Worst service ever had in my life,really disappointed with staff service,they want to take the plate while eating,(still remaining in plate,but want to take away),unfriendly services,have to wait long time even though not fully busy in restaurant.

We were here a week ago, on a Saturday, with the first shift. When we arrived there were already a lot of people at the door. The order was taken quickly and without eye contact. It was all very hectic. One of us didn't get her drink, which we had to ask several times. The same thing happened with their food. That didn't happen either. Then, when the others were already half finished, the food arrived. No apology or anything. The food itself wasn't anything special. We've had Moroccan food before and this was just a bit disappointing. We had the impression that many guests came for a quick meal before heading to the theater around the corner. We had reserved a table here based on the good reviews, but unfortunately we didn't experience the special taste and dining experience that others had.

Wow! My first time Moroccan but definitely not the last time! The chicken skewers taste great and the side dishes go perfectly with them. Price-performance ratio is 100%, the boss makes every customer feel like they are part of the family.

Yesterday evening, for the second “shift”, we had a delicious meal in the Marrakech restaurant with a very large group. The starters and main courses were all super tasty and authentic. Everyone enjoyed it and we had a lovely evening. Since we had a birthday child with us, a spontaneous serenade was played. It was a lot of fun and we celebrated well past opening hours. The owner and the staff were very nice and the service was good despite the restaurant being full. A visit is definitely worth it, both in terms of taste and people. The 5 stars are very well deserved.

Today, I had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant, thanks to Chef Marwan. My husband arranged for a special order of Moroccan couscous with vegetables, chicken, and tfaya to satisfy my pregnancy cravings, and Marwan made it happen despite the restaurant being very busy. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic Moroccan flavors, and the atmosphere was just perfect. The decor, the hospitality, and the overall vibe made me feel right at home—it truly felt like being back in Morocco. Thank you, Marwan, for your kindness and for going the extra mile to make this day unforgettable for me and my baby. This is, without a doubt, the place to go for an authentic Moroccan experience!

There were three of us eating there, the tables are so narrow that you can hear everything from your neighbors and have no space at all! The service is really bad, even the stupid hats don't help anymore! When I asked for clean cutlery I was actually made to wait 5 minutes, a great educational measure!!!! The price for what is ultimately served is far too high! Little quality has to give way to cheaper side dishes quantity! I've been there once, but there definitely won't be a second time!
