Marquesas Tapasbar & Restaurant in Aschaffenburg

Food and service were ok, we got a table relatively fast. The staff seemed to be a bit overwhelmed but it didn’t influence the service too much. However, some of the ingredients were missing from the dish we ordered. The waitress did not notify us as we ordered and it just came without it. When asking for it, she wasn’t aware of any shortage, and we also had to pay the full price for a salad without avocado.

We only had the appetizer because we only wanted a bite to eat, and it was very good. Next time, we'll be back with a big appetite.

Unfortunately, I can't give it many stars because I was really disappointed with our evening. We ordered a Tex-Mex burger with jalapeños on the side. The burger came without jalapeños. We then had a salad with chicken and avocado. The chicken was very tasty, but there was absolutely no avocado. When I asked, the chef said he was out of avocado. No apology, no discount. I paid €18.90 for three leaves of lettuce and a few pieces of chicken. The food wasn't bad, but the customer service was absolutely terrible, which is why I unfortunately won't be coming back. I think that's a real shame, because with a little more accommodating, the whole thing could have been resolved. What I also found surprising is that there's no place to change your child's diaper. That makes the restaurant completely unfamily-friendly in my opinion.

We've been to Maquesas several times. Unfortunately, the food is getting worse and worse, and so is the service. We were there yesterday to celebrate a birthday and were very disappointed. For the prices, they should definitely offer better food and better service.

Best regards to the tall woman at the counter...it seems she only serves organic German food. We were at the Hospice Festival on Saturday...which was for a good cause. I wanted to order something from your stand...but I was simply ignored. Thanks again to my fellow citizens for alerting her to serve me first...because they noticed something was wrong.

My parents and I wanted to try tapas at the restaurant today and round off the evening. My mother went in and asked if it was possible to sit outside. She was told that everything outside was reserved but there was space inside. My father and I then went in and my father asked if the table by the window was free. The lady at reception rolled her eyes and snapped at us that everything inside was free (there was a “reserved” sign on the table). We then left because we had NEVER experienced such bad service. If I could, I would give it 0 stars. Disappointing.

Totally OK, but nothing more. The tapas selection looks good, but the food selection isn't particularly convincing for me personally: pimentos, potatoes, albondigas, fried calamari, and grilled vegetables, served with some bread. What's particularly unusual, however, is the attempt to have this review removed through legal means. Apparently necessary.

Restaurant = great atmosphere. Everything is made with love. The dishes are dreamy. Crisp, fresh, tasty, delicious. I've rarely eaten so well. Service... so-so... Walked past you, ignored the guests, unfriendly, the same thing happened when paying... until the owner noticed you were trying to pay... SERVICE = VERY ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT! I would have liked to give it 5 stars, but the service messed it up completely. Sorry. Maybe next time.

Wir haben im Restaurant Maquesas sehr gut gegessen. Die Tapas Platte für 2 Personen war sehr lecker. Die unterschiedlichen Gerichte der Tapas Platte fanden unseren Geschmack sehr gut. Der Rioja war auch sehr gut. Wir waren rundum begeistert vom Service! Unsere Bedienung war äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Sie hat uns mit einem Lächeln begrüßt. So fühlt man sich wirklich willkommen – ein großes Lob und vielen Dank für diesen tollen Abend!

The tapas and tortillas are fresh, varied and absolutely delicious - and at very fair prices. Every portion is perfectly seasoned and the selection leaves nothing to be desired. I will definitely come back and can only recommend this tapas bar.

Simply great! We had a wonderful evening in this restaurant. The tapas were simply amazing – fresh, authentic and full of flavor! Every single dish was a pleasure. Added to this is the great ambience, which creates a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, so we felt completely at home. It was a very nice evening, very nice staff and delicious food in a great atmosphere. Had a very tasty tapas plate for 2 people... Almost as a surprise from the kitchen with patatas, potatoes with vinegar, squid rings, grilled peppers, meatballs, and various sauces. Churros for dessert. Highly recommended locally.

Delicious food, just quite narrow and therefore quickly very loud. But still a nice atmosphere :) the food is quite expensive but very tasty.

The reservation was confirmed, but the table had previously been given to someone else, despite showing up on time. After a short wait, a remedy was provided. The food is good, but cannot be compared with Spanish tapas, as tapas are manageable and the price-performance ratio is not good. The noise in the restaurant is unbearably loud. The tables are very close, so the atmosphere is like a canteen with extreme noise. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. Drinks came quickly, repeat orders were also received, questions about the whereabouts of the food were received in a friendly manner, but there was no answer. Felt handling, instead of atmosphere. Unfortunately our last visit there.

A nice shop, nice staff, good food. We had Papas with Mojo Rojo and Mojo Verde, the green one was a bit bland but the red one was good, Pimientos de Padron, fried mushrooms, nachos with sauce and jalapeño, a small salad and a red Tempranillo each. Vegan and gluten-free meals were no problem. Next time we'll read more about the map...

Das Lokal ist super… Sehr nette, charmante Bedienung.. ging alles zügig und die Tapas sind hammermässig! Den Pulpo hab ich nachbestellt.. Insgesamt 5 Tapas und 2 Glas Silvaner für 50.- geht doch!

The ambience is very nice, but the chairs are terribly uncomfortable, the backrest is too straight. Unfortunately my chicken breast with salsa sauce and gratinated with cheese was too dry. The cheese was no longer identifiable as cheese and was hard. The Aperol Spritz and the cocktails weren't worth the price as they were puffed up with lots of ice and vegetables. I don't need it anymore.

Best restaurant I've been to in a long time. Unfortunately I can only give 5 stars for the service, because the Marquesas actually deserves 10/5 stars. The food was great and of course we responded to individual meal requests. So if you want to have a fun evening with food that is value for money, then Marquesas is the place to be! I'm already looking forward to seeing the girls this evening. ✨🙏🏼

Nice staff, large selection of dishes

Food was very tasty. Both the tapas and the main courses. Nevertheless, in retrospect I would just order different tapas and reorder until you are full. The homemade lemonade was also delicious.

I celebrated my birthday there but unfortunately I was disappointed. The paella I ordered tasted like a frozen version from the supermarket, from brands like Frosta. The taste was artificial, with a noticeable hint of preservatives, and it seemed like other ingredients had been added to mask that taste. Maybe the German public, who have never tried real paella, will be fooled - but not me.

Unfortunately we sat at the table for 15 minutes, the waitress didn't even look at us, neither greeted us nor gave us cards. The neighboring tables also sat on dirty dishes and empty glasses. There wasn't that much going on, so you could have at least said hello.

We were there on a paella Friday. Unfortunately we didn't like the paella at all. It's surprising that you don't have to order it in advance, as paella takes a while. It was very watery, everything at the bottom of the pan was full of liquid, and otherwise pretty carelessly made. The sangria was very tasteless, and the service wasn't very attentive. When the restaurant is full it is loud and uncomfortable. We had hoped for more, what a shame!

It was my first time eating tapas, grilled sardines (from the deep fryer), 3 toothpicks with strips of beef fillet for €18. The staff was very nice.

- Too much frozen goods!!! - Aioli has nothing to do with the original: curry instead of garlic and feels like it has no spices at all - Mussel pan far too watery, everything frozen, no taste, pure tomato water with mussel including a few mini parts of squid + scrimps in onions. -Tortilla has nothing to do with the original: too flat, no seasoning - The frozen goat cheese was good, but that shouldn't be art. *Conclusion: Everything was very lackluster and not authentically prepared. The quality is poor due to the large amount of frozen products, which could also be freshly prepared. No resemblance to real tapas. Too bad! SCHOOL GRADE: 4 (sufficient, fills you up, but not makes you happy)

Wir wollten einen schönen Abend verbringen und haben uns letztendlich nur geärgert. Das Essen war durchschnittlich, aber am schlimmsten war das Gegröle von betrunkenen Gästen am Nachbartisch. Wir saßen drsußen. Die Chefin (krauses Drahthaar) hat nicht auf unsere Beschwerde reagiert. Wir kamen uns vor wie in einer Spelunke. Später kamen zwei Taxen und haben die Alkoholisierten eingeladen. Sehr romatisch: Abgase, laufende Motoren, Gegröle, Türen knallen. Nie wieder.

This time more than disappointed. I reserved a table for 4 people outside for 7:00 p.m.!! Wanted to eat and drink. So when we were there, we were told we would only make a reservation outside until 6 p.m., everything was full. Let's just sit inside, it's 30 degrees, great. Got a place somewhere else and had a nice evening... sorry. Not a good performance this time. I'm sorry!

The perfect place to relax with very good food and drinks. The staff is courteous and very friendly. They respond to the guest's wishes. I can recommend it 100 percent.

Very interesting yellow aioli, not only the color but also the curry taste has nothing to do with a classic aioli. 45 minutes of waiting to eat the paella with jalapeños, spring onions, peppers also a completely new interpretation. The only thing that can't be criticized is the price, although if we had known about it in advance we would have saved ourselves that. What was interesting was that if you wait too long you can reduce the bill in response to the question of whether the food was forgotten. We didn't go that far. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Too bad!

As always, great service and delicious food. We like to eat here. It's nice to sit in, it's wonderful outside. Here you can see that a restaurateur's heart beats, service, cuisine, ambience and everything that goes with it is a joy. We've had various dishes, the burrito from the oven, the burger are dishes that are always great when you're really hungry, fajita, the chicken baked with cheese, the salad - everything is always very tasty. You can also order the tapas there, they are good. The food is so good that you forget to take pictures ;) The drinks menu is perfect

Great ambience & super central location, very friendly, attentive service and very nice boss! We had very good tacos, bacon wrapped dates and drinks! The portions were very generous (for some of us 1 taco would have been enough instead of 2). We recommend! We would love to come back next time we visit Aschaffenburg!

That used to be good, unfortunately it's not like that anymore, the quality, the freshness, the preparation has deteriorated a lot.

Please stop offering a classic margarita. Or use the appropriate ingredients! Here's what Triple Sec says: The name "Triple Sec" means "triple dryness" and refers to the dryness of the taste, which lies between the sweet and sour flavors of orange and lemon. I quote the boss: "a binding agent used in cocktails" and that after 25 years of experience in service. Simply embarrassing and a disgrace to charge us for this 'cocktail' even though we immediately complained. The food was okay, but after this disappointment I was done!
