Ambietene top Essen flop Wir waren heute bei dem Spanier in der Pfaffengasse in Aschaffenburg, Die anderen beiden spanischen Restaurants in der Stadt spielen vom Essen her in einer anderen höheren Liga. Nicht alles war schlecht. Der Pulpo war exzellent, die Pilze auch. Alles mit Kartoffeln war extrem versalzen. Die Pimientos hatten Pfeffer statt Salz und waren fast roh. Das Gemüse war essbar aber auch total überwürzt. Wir hatten ca. 15 Tapas und das Zeitmanagement war extrem schlecht. Als die ersten 10 so gut wie weg waren kam der Rest. Die kanarischen Schrumpfkartoffeln haben wir zurückgehen lassen und mussten diese immerhin dennoch bezahlen. Der Service war auch mit 2 Bedienung aufgrund der Menge an Gästen ca. 20 extrem überfordert. Vielen Dank für nix

Ein großes Lob an die kleine, quirlige, polnische Bedienung. Sie trug durch ihre witzigen und freundliche Kommentare dazu bei, sich sehr wohl und willkommen zu fühlen. Das Essen war auch gut.

Essen war sehr lecker. Bestellt lieber einzelne Tapas. Platte ist Langweilig.Service war der Knaller. Danke dafür.

Wir waren bei einem Besuch bei Freunden in Aschaffenburg in diesem spanischen Restaurant und es war fantastisch. Der Service war freundlich, aber das Lokal war etwas eng. Trotzdem war das Essen köstlich: Wir vier bestellten eine Fajita, eine Paella, drei Tapas, 1,5 Liter Sangria und drei Biere für 75 € pro Paar. Die Paella war köstlich und wunderschön angerichtet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Mein Hund war auch willkommen.

Waren schon mehrfach hier, bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Heute allerdings etwas enttäuscht worden. Sowohl bei den Tapas als auch die letzte Getränkebestellung wurde vergessen, sodass wir 20 Minuten vor leeren Gläsern saßen. Besonders negativ war der Lamm-Hauptgang: 3 sehr dünne Lammkoteletts, die zusammen ca 120g hatten und aufgrund der Dicke komplett durchgebraten waren. Für 30€ sehr unverschämt, hatte ich wesentlich besser in Erinnerung. Sehr schade, werden wohl vorerst nicht wieder kommen.

Wir saßen schön und die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich. Die Vorspeise war ok, aber nichts Außergewöhnliches. Wir hatten als Hauptspeise Paella, die leider wirklich nicht gut war. Safran war leider nicht heraus zu schmecken, keine Gambas, wenig Tintenfisch, sehr knusprig gebackener Weißfisch und ein kleines Stück Hühnchen. Schade, aber unter Paella verstehe ich etwas anderes. Vielleicht sind die Tappas und mexikanischen Gerichte besser, aber für mich leider nicht empfehlenswert

Black Angus Burger 7/10 (Fleisch mit schönem Aroma, aber leider nahezu durch gebraten, Jalapeños trotz Wunsch, diese Wegzulassen, Bun nicht warm und nicht mit Butter betränkt, sonst gut „komponierter“ Burger mit sich gut ergänzenden Zutaten) Pommes mit Sour Cream 10/10 (perfekte Röstung, sehr gute Würze und perfekte Abbindung mit leckerer Sour Cream)

So ein schönes Hotel und auch das Personal, sowie das Essen mit allem drum und dran. Tool, zum weiterempfehlen.

Kein schlechtes Restaurant, aber abends sehr laut, viele Leute

Einen schönen Abend dort verbracht, Essen sowie der Service 5 Sterne. Eine kleine Kritik, wir saßen an einem sehr kleinen Tisch, ein bisschen beengt, sonst alles super.

Wir waren dort zum erste Mal gewesen. Wir haben die Tapasplatte für 2 Personen bestellt, danach 2 weitere Tapas bestellt, weiß nicht genau wie die hießen, die waren aber alle mega lecker und der Service war sehr freundlich Da kommen wir gerne wieder!

We had paella, like every year. However, the quality of the paella declines as the price increases. This time, no prawns, no baby calamari, no sangria. On average, the price has increased by about 50% over the last three years, if you include the above... Attached is the picture from three years ago.

Smaller portions and more expensive again unfortunately is not possible

Very friendly service and delicious food. There's a wide selection of tapas and other dishes. The white sangria (with tequila) took some getting used to. The restaurant is located on a narrow street, so there's no parking nearby.

So, unfortunately, we were disappointed. Tapas for €25 per person consisted of a lot of bread and poor quality potatoes. The dessert, unfortunately, completely confirmed this impression. For €8-9, we got "crème Catalana" in a pastry case—basically a cake—not even a tablespoon of the cream to be seen, but instead a centimeter-thick thawed wheat base and warmed plum jam. The whole thing had a gassy aroma. I'm not used to flambéed/crispy. For the total of €50, we've had better meals at home. The waitress didn't ask if everything was OK when we brought the bill, even though half of the dessert was left over. A shame. Otherwise, the atmosphere was pleasant.

Food and service were ok, we got a table relatively fast. The staff seemed to be a bit overwhelmed but it didn’t influence the service too much. However, some of the ingredients were missing from the dish we ordered. The waitress did not notify us as we ordered and it just came without it. When asking for it, she wasn’t aware of any shortage, and we also had to pay the full price for a salad without avocado.

We only had the appetizer because we only wanted a bite to eat, and it was very good. Next time, we'll be back with a big appetite.

Unfortunately, I can't give it many stars because I was really disappointed with our evening. We ordered a Tex-Mex burger with jalapeños on the side. The burger came without jalapeños. We then had a salad with chicken and avocado. The chicken was very tasty, but there was absolutely no avocado. When I asked, the chef said he was out of avocado. No apology, no discount. I paid €18.90 for three leaves of lettuce and a few pieces of chicken. The food wasn't bad, but the customer service was absolutely terrible, which is why I unfortunately won't be coming back. I think that's a real shame, because with a little more accommodating, the whole thing could have been resolved. What I also found surprising is that there's no place to change your child's diaper. That makes the restaurant completely unfamily-friendly in my opinion.

We've been to Maquesas several times. Unfortunately, the food is getting worse and worse, and so is the service. We were there yesterday to celebrate a birthday and were very disappointed. For the prices, they should definitely offer better food and better service.

Best regards to the tall woman at the counter...it seems she only serves organic German food. We were at the Hospice Festival on Saturday...which was for a good cause. I wanted to order something from your stand...but I was simply ignored. Thanks again to my fellow citizens for alerting her to serve me first...because they noticed something was wrong.

My parents and I wanted to try tapas at the restaurant today and round off the evening. My mother went in and asked if it was possible to sit outside. She was told that everything outside was reserved but there was space inside. My father and I then went in and my father asked if the table by the window was free. The lady at reception rolled her eyes and snapped at us that everything inside was free (there was a “reserved” sign on the table). We then left because we had NEVER experienced such bad service. If I could, I would give it 0 stars. Disappointing.

The tapas selection looks good, but the food selection isn't particularly convincing for me personally: pimentos, potatoes, albondigas, fried calamari, and grilled vegetables, served with some bread. What's particularly unusual, however, is the attempt to have this review removed through legal means. Apparently necessary.

Restaurant = great atmosphere. Everything is made with love. The dishes are dreamy. Crisp, fresh, tasty, delicious. I've rarely eaten so well. Service... so-so... Walked past you, ignored the guests, unfriendly, the same thing happened when paying... until the owner noticed you were trying to pay... SERVICE = VERY ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT! I would have liked to give it 5 stars, but the service messed it up completely. Sorry. Maybe next time.

Wir haben im Restaurant Maquesas sehr gut gegessen. Die Tapas Platte für 2 Personen war sehr lecker. Die unterschiedlichen Gerichte der Tapas Platte fanden unseren Geschmack sehr gut. Der Rioja war auch sehr gut. Wir waren rundum begeistert vom Service! Unsere Bedienung war äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Sie hat uns mit einem Lächeln begrüßt. So fühlt man sich wirklich willkommen – ein großes Lob und vielen Dank für diesen tollen Abend!

I had a fantastic evening in this tapas bar! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent price-performance ratio. The tapas and tortillas are fresh, varied and absolutely delicious - and at very fair prices. Every portion is perfectly seasoned and the selection leaves nothing to be desired. I will definitely come back and can only recommend this tapas bar.

The reservation was confirmed, but the table had previously been given to someone else, despite showing up on time. After a short wait, a remedy was provided. The food is good, but cannot be compared with Spanish tapas, as tapas are manageable and the price-performance ratio is not good. The noise in the restaurant is unbearably loud. The tables are very close, so the atmosphere is like a canteen with extreme noise. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. Drinks came quickly, repeat orders were also received, questions about the whereabouts of the food were received in a friendly manner, but there was no answer. Felt handling, instead of atmosphere. Unfortunately our last visit there.

A nice shop, nice staff, good food. We had Papas with Mojo Rojo and Mojo Verde, the green one was a bit bland but the red one was good, Pimientos de Padron, fried mushrooms, nachos with sauce and jalapeño, a small salad and a red Tempranillo each. Vegan and gluten-free meals were no problem. Next time we'll read more about the map...
