Markt Grill in Kempen

Ich möchte hier ausdrücklich den Marktgrill lobend erwähnen. Da ich mich seit über 14 Tagen im Krankenhaus Kempen befinde und eine sehr schwierige, komplizierte Halswirbelsäulen-OP hinter mir habe, bin ich derzeit stark in meiner Mobilität eingeschränkt. Auch wenn das Krankenhausessen wirklich gut ist, freut man sich irgendwann über eine Alternative. Ich habe inzwischen einige Restaurants und Schnellimbisse ausprobiert, aber der Marktgrill sticht für mich besonders positiv hervor. Schon am Telefon wird man überaus freundlich behandelt. Man hört zu, zeigt Verständnis und man fühlt sich vom ersten Kontakt bis zum freundlichen „Vielen Dank für Ihre Bestellung“ wirklich als Gast wahrgenommen und respektiert. Die Auswahl ist super. Ich habe mittlerweile mehrere Gerichte probiert – von Pommes mit Currywurst und Mayo bis hin zum Gyrosteller, Schaschlik oder Spießbraten. Alles war absolut empfehlenswert, frisch, lecker und schnell zubereitet. Besonders toll: Es wird sogar bis zum Krankenhaus geliefert. Der Service ist 1A, inklusive telefonischer Abstimmung per Handy. Ich stehe gerade unten vor der Klinik und warte auf den Boten, der sich sein Trinkgeld mehr als verdient hat. Ein tolles Lokal mit herzlichem Service. Schön, dass es so etwas in diesen schwierigen Zeiten noch gibt. Also Leute: Fahrt nicht fort, esst im Dorf!

Die beste currywurst vom Niederrhein zu einem fairen Preis. Freundlicher Service, tolle Urlaubslage.

Ich muss aber dazu sagen, ich saß draußen im Zelt. Wie das Ambiente drin ist weiß ich nicht. Service Nett und Aufmerksam. Taxiteller war eine gute Portion.

Super Service und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Gehe seit knapp 3 Jahren dorthin. Nur zu empfehlen 👍

Wir sind in den laden gekommen und würden mega lieb begrüßt. Das Personal war sehe korrekt. Ein super laden. Mit dem essen waren wir auch sehr zufrieden. Die preise sind auch super.

Dönertaasche war enttäuschend - kein Hähnchenfleisch, OK. Aber als Salat nur Gurke, Tomate und Peperoni dabei - kein Krautsalat oder Rotkohl. Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes: Es ist sicherlich keine Restaurant Qualität zu erwarten, aber es war echt wirklich gar nix - Fleisch war zu lange frittiert und somit sehr Kross, Pommes fettig und auch zu lange frittiert. Bedienung war freundlich und es gab einen Absacker, der auch angebracht war bei dem ganzen Fett. Dennoch wird es keinen weiteren Besuch dort geben.

Hervorragendes halbes Hähnes mit Pommes und super Salat. Sehr freundlicher Service und tolle Sitzmöglichkeiten direkt auf der Plaza.

Gehen wir immer wieder gerne hin. Mal zum Essen, mal auf einen Kaffee. Immer freundlich und toller Service.

Ausgezeichnetes Schaschlik und Currywurst! Sehr lecker! Auch der Service ist erstklassig – freundliches Personal! Einziger Nachteil: Man kann nicht mit Karte zahlen, was nicht immer praktisch ist.

Seit Jahren gehen wir dort ommer wieder Essen.Bisher wurden wir nie enttäuscht.Das Essen war immer sehr lecker und Preislich für die gute Qualität vollkommen Ok.

Schnitzel kam aus der Mikrowelle und meine Begleitung hatte eine Currywurst die nicht sehr lecker war.

Wir fahren alle paar Monate ins Kempen. Es ist mittlerweile unser Stammrestaurant geworden. Im Sommer ist es herrlich auf der Terrasse, und jetzt, wo es kühler ist, sitzen wir gerne drinnen. Das Essen ist gut und preiswert. Die Inhaber und das Personal sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr kundenfreundlich! Hinweis: Nur Barzahlung.

The good reviews will surely be false, the bad one is the worst of our month in Germany, we ate terribly, I wanted to pay by card, they didn't accept it so zero service, they sent me rudely to the bank opposite, I took out the cash, the bill was 37 euros, I handed them 40 euros, they took them out of my hands, they put them in the cash register without a receipt, rude, very rude, I'm Italian, no stupid, my comment to the boss!, I got angry, I decide the tip and with the terrible service I certainly wouldn't have left even 1 euro, really bad. Absolutely recommended. What is particularly worth mentioning is how professionally food intolerances are responded to and how different preparation utensils are naturally used during preparation. And of course it’s delicious too. Thank you!

I met the super friendly owner by chance on the train and he told me that he had the best kebab in the world. As luck would have it, we live close to the Markt Grill, so we went straight and tested it today. Never before have I eaten such a great kebab and experienced such a friendly team. Staff super friendly and attentive. Food was prepared quickly, didn't look very attractive, so no photo of the food was taken today. We ate everything, it was okay, Jägerschnitzel would perhaps be tastier and more pleasing to the eye with fresh mushrooms and homemade sauce. Guest room inside, rustic.

I am always very satisfied here at the market grill. The employees are always very friendly and helpful. Now in March, outdoor dining is starting again; Eating and drinking in the sun is very nice. The gypsy schnitzel is the best in Kempen. Excellent.

The Marktgrill, located directly at the beautiful butter market in Kempen, is a wonderful restaurant that you simply have to visit. With its location opposite the town hall, this charming restaurant fits perfectly into the unique ambience of the butter market. As soon as I entered I was greeted by the incredibly friendly waiters. Here you can immediately feel that hospitality is very important. The entire team is attentive, warm and smiles to make you feel welcome from the first moment. Special requests are also fulfilled as a matter of course. The food is a real highlight. Incredibly delicious and prepared with a lot of love. No matter whether you choose a classic specialty or something unusual, every dish impresses with its freshness, quality and taste. The kitchen works quickly so that the food is on the table in no time, without compromising on quality. Absolutely recommended!

We eat here every week: a shashlik, a currywurst, a kebab plate or a gypsy schnitzel. The salad is always crisp and fresh! Delicious, right from the start. At the end there is tea or an ouzo.

We had the food delivered to the Kempen mobile home park after having a cold drink in the restaurant. The service was absolutely friendly, the drinks came promptly. We later ordered the food over the phone and ate it in the motorhome. Ordering was problem-free, as was delivery, it arrived as planned. There were very good portions and it tasted very good, and all at reasonable prices. All in all, we can only recommend the Markt-Grill and will visit it again on our next visit to Kempen.

Good Dürum and friendly/fast service

My husband and I went to the Kempner Christmas market today and then had a meal at the marktgrill schashlik because we come from Mönchengladbach and have heard a lot about it and in the end we were justifiably enthusiastic about it, so the food was really great. Above all, the way we were served by the young man was really impressive, even though the shop was full, he was very warm, served us in a friendly manner and calmly explained the menu to us and my husband and I were very enthusiastic about it and we also got an extra on the house receive. We will come to eat with you often!

The classic from Kempen. It's just as much a part of the city as the Kuhtor. The food is very good, price OK for the location. Quality of food in a green area. However, there is a lot going on, so you have to take some time. Otherwise: always happy!

Located in the middle of the Kempen market, well attended

This location is often the destination of our bike tours. A call in advance ensures that we can put the tables together. There are then around 14 people who of course have to eat and drink after 40km. The service is quite quick and food and drink are on the table quickly. Everything is to our satisfaction and we express that. Honor to whom honor is due.

I've rarely eaten such bad cordon bleu and the side salad was terribly bad. We talk about freshly prepared and everything comes from the freezer. Overall with a large cyclist for €21. Cruel never again and then the restaurateurs are surprised that no one comes anymore.

The chicken was tasty, the fries were thin, long and crispy (I prefer thicker fries), the salad was fresh but unfortunately different salads were mixed together in a relatively tall bowl. The - quite tasty - cocktail dressing was somehow “too much” with carrot salad or bean salads. What annoyed me was that several wheat beers were poured into the glasses well below the calibration mark. Surely this comes out of the bottle!? Sitting at the market is otherwise very nice. The service was attentive and quick. They started dismantling the outdoor furniture relatively early, but we weren't asked to leave, so we were able to stay seated.

We were there on July 24th. with a larger group there. Since almost all of us wore pink hats, we were recognizable from far away as belonging together. Since there is no parking space directly at the grill, we came in parts. The first group said the same thing, but already ordered drinks. When the second group came, they were asked for drinks and food, the first group was ignored. The waitress only came to us after we had drawn our attention again. Sitting outside is actually quite nice, there are beer benches, but neither the tables nor the benches were really clean. The women's toilet was also in such a state that we didn't want to use it. I asked what types of draft beer there were because the person sitting next to me had gotten one. The waitress wanted to see if the kind she recommended was available and then she wasn't seen again. Despite asking, I didn't get another drink. Very strange. The fact that the waitresses eventually sat at the next table, eating fries and smoking, was very irritating, especially since we weren't asked once whether we would like anything else or not. When it comes to food, I unfortunately have to say that I can't understand how the good reviews come together here. I ordered shish kebab without fries. The photo attached shows what I received. The meat was overcooked, the onion was a mushy mush, the presentation was neither appetizing nor what I would expect at a grill. It wasn't really tasty either, but had a very strange aftertaste. It didn't surprise me that we weren't asked whether we liked the food. Some of us left more of the food on our plates. There doesn't seem to be any catering software in the store that books and groups together tables. Our orders were written on loose pieces of paper that were left somewhere at the table. Nobody had an overview of our orders. We couldn't pay with a card either. When paying inside, the change was incorrect, but was corrected. Unfortunately, we didn't leave a good impression, so it was a one-off visit for us. A pity. Above all, we would like the Markt Grill to be better clean both inside and outside and that larger groups would be noticed more by the service staff.

It's a small, cozy chip shop where you can also sit nicely. Dishes as we know them. Mega centrally located. Formally, very quickly and very well.

I have never eaten a worse shish kebab in my life! Abomination! Only the name of “shashlik” is there. How to braise kebab and mix it with curry? Take it off the menu or learn to make it properly following the recipe! I didn't expect it to be good, but not that bad! Horror!

Internship for 1 month in Kempen we were able to see very good team cohesion, a very good atmosphere among the servers, fast and efficient. The Euro matches were really enjoyable to watch with a memorable atmosphere. Very good beers. I recommend

Today we tried for the third time to have something delivered, each time with a new excuse why it doesn't work. Maybe you shouldn't offer the service if you don't want it. There definitely won't be another attempt.

I still don't know if the kebab is halal or not. Therefore I can't give a rating because I didn't eat anything.
