In my opinion, this is still the best chip shop in Neuss. The gyros are top-notch; you can tell they don't have to make many rounds before they're sold, yet they still have a delicious crust. The other products I tried were also very good in terms of taste and quality. The service is friendly and quick.

Unfortunately, it's very overrated! The gyro is okay for a chip shop, but for the high price, the portions are really stingy. The bifteki is unfortunately poor quality and falls apart immediately. I've never experienced anything like it before. The atmosphere on a noisy street corner is absolutely nonexistent. Again? No thanks – especially since the staff is unfriendly.

Top price-performance, always delicious

The reception was very friendly. We were informed that the grilled dish would take a little longer, but it was worth it. Since we were hungry, we had a cheeseburger and half a chicken with fries. The fries were good, but lacked a bit of salt. The chicken was excellent, the cheeseburger was unusual but tasted perfectly. The service was friendly and incredibly fast.

When I first moved to Germany, I immediately discovered Maria's Schlemmerimbiss. At first glance, I thought: This must be good! And it was. I went there with Italian friends, and ever since that day, this grill has won my heart and palate. I was particularly impressed by the friendliness behind the counter; you feel so welcome. My absolute favorite is the gyro salad. For me, Maria's Schlemmerimbiss is not just a place to eat, but also associated with many fond memories. I'd love to go back!

Recommended Delicious and affordable

One of the best snack bars we've eaten at so far. It's not for nothing that it's always very busy in the evenings. Delicious food, from gyros to chicken to tzatziki, everything here is great. Pre-orders by phone work well. It may often seem a bit chaotic, but it's a very organized mess where everyone seems to know what they're doing. Kudos to that. The atmosphere is, after all, a snack bar.

I ordered gyros from this grill again after a long time...they were cutting it in the next room again! I had the same stomach problems afterward, and the meat smelled really bad, probably pork in it...for the second time... No problems elsewhere before!!! Never again...take care of your health! Also, there's a real tension in this place... Never again

It's really gone downhill. Frikadellen, fries, mayo, and ketchup on a cake plate, and fries, mayo, and ketchup on a saucer of a cup. Very unappetizing. The portions and the taste are nowhere near what they used to be. If only the staff could at least smile, but looking at their unfriendly and annoyed faces, you're already fed up. For us, this is no longer the chip shop we trust.

The food was ok. The tzatziki was very fresh and very tasty. My mixed salad was la la. I wouldn't order it again. Gyros and fries were very good. Very nice and fast staff. Prices are like everywhere else, although my drink felt cheap. I would come back at any time and can recommend the snack bar.

Ordered a chicken today and got an old dead roast bird. The chicken was so dry you couldn't swallow it. When I made a comment after paying, the staff responded with arrogance. This is not how you can win or retain customers.

The gyro in particular has disappointed me several times because it tasted neither crispy nor of high quality. The fries were also repeatedly too soggy. "Great food and great service!" We were there for the first time and were immediately pleasantly surprised. The snack bar was busy, a good sign of the quality of the food. For a celebration, we put together several menus with the chef, from meat to salads to side dishes. The conversation was very pleasant, the prices were fair and the food was excellent! Everything was freshly and deliciously prepared, and there was more than enough for everyone. We are completely satisfied and would love to come back!

Haben drinnen gegessen. Eingangstür stand die ganze Zeit auf....es war mega kalt! Kinder haben gefroren und wollten nicht mehr essen. Zweimal gefragt ob man die Türe nicht zumachen kann. Es wurde von Mitarbeitern umgesetzt....aber die Chef hat die tüte sofort wieder aufgemacht. Einfach unverschämt. Nie wieder!

I've eaten there very often Gyros Pita Special is my favorite, not too much but always full of it. Everything was very appetizingly prepared and tasted great. One of the best gyros I know in the Neuss and Düsseldorf area. Keep it up, I'll be back.

Maria's snack is a great experience

No matter when you go there, there is always something going on. This is the only small chip shop I know that has 7 employees. Unfortunately no parking spaces on site.

We walked into the snack bar and our greeting was not returned. The fries were already fried and were then put back into the fat. That's how they tasted, but I didn't find them tasty. Then the coleslaw was inedible. The color was brownish and it tasted like it had been bad. Gyro meat was quite ok. So for me it's not the best snack. I will no longer visit Maria's gourmet snack bar.

Visited again after a very long time. But everything was perfect, exactly as it was "Maria's" times. Absolutely recommended. 💯

It was my first time at Maria's Schlemmerimbiss and I was satisfied. Lots of seating "for a chip shop" and friendly service. Fresh food, large menu and reasonable prices.

It's only the second time I've been there to eat and I was really impressed the second time, nice staff, great service and super delicious food. I will eat here more often now.

I just had something for myself during my lunch break and I have to say I'm really disappointed. After asking about whether to eat here or take away, he went to the gyro skewer from the day before. That's how it tasted! Actually only good things from there. But that didn't work at all. Half of it was thrown away.

Super fast service, very accommodating, everything put together as requested. Because we had exceeded 50 euros, we were given a drink bottle of our choice on top. I've heard a lot of good things about Maria's snack bar, but yesterday was my first time there and tried gyros. The meat and the tzatziki were excellent, and the service was also very nice. The menu also has a very good selection of different gyros, which I will now try out little by little.

I have known Marias since 2021 and always look forward to eating here again. I even drive regularly from Cologne to Neuss for this! The gyros are unbeatable, super seasoned and juicy. The souvlaki, the salads and the fries are also really great! You can tell that all the ingredients are very high quality. The staff is always nice and in the mood to have fun, I can only recommend Marias!

Unfortunately no longer open every day, but still the address in the southern city... Great team, top quality...

Two adults spontaneously stopped by on a Saturday evening because many said it was “one of the best snack bars in Neuss”; Since we are not only very big fans of Greece (culture, way of life, cuisine, language, landscape, guest friendliness), we decided on this one because there are 'real Greeks' who still run the restaurant here, especially since, looking back, I also really like it for professional reasons had a lot to do with these warm people, so that you could also make yourself understood in Greek. Reception - unfortunately hardly noticed or warm. welcomed, maybe it was. remember that you arrived at the 'best time' around 6:30 p.m.; There was an unusually large number of staff behind the counter - 7 people), one of whom was talking quite loudly to three ladies behind us in the guest room; It was like a 'dovecote'. The background noise is unfortunately a bit too loud! Looking for a table yourself, you didn't know, you will order at the table or at the counter (go to the counter to choose dishes using a take-away menu, then order at the counter on your own intention: 2 x gyros/bifteki (a proud €13.80 each WITHOUT Salad! ), 1 x Metaxa sauce extra & 2 Cola - the latter taken from the open fridge - paid a total of €36 with 'Tip'); Unfortunately, the question of whether you might want mayo to accompany the fries didn't come up. After the specially initiated order at the counter, first the Metaxa sauce and then quickly the ordered dishes were brought to the table in a very uncommunicative manner. Halfway through the meal, the person in question finally gave up as the three ladies left the shop; We saw it as typical Greek pure behavior of the more masculine guild ;) Food - the seemingly in-house, tasty and not too dry and/or fatty gyros are commendably cut manually from the rotisserie with a knife; the Bifteki - ! ! ! UNFORTUNATELY ! ! ! - as a convenience product (both products on the plates are completely identical in unknown 'Kidney shape') was probably only thrown briefly into the deep fryer (perhaps you should have ordered the 'house' Bifteki instead?! - in my opinion a SHAME on the Greek food culture!), the Metaxa sauce was pre-prepared in a small white one A porcelain bowl was brought to the table and unfortunately, from a taste perspective, it was only passed by the bottle in question. The fries were, as is typical for a snack bar, completely ok. We couldn't judge whether the tzatziki was homemade, but this was also 'ok'. From our point of view, it makes a lot of sense to try the simple and typical Greek dishes (gyros, bifteki, tzatziki & metaxa sauce) in order to get a more in-depth picture of this typical Greek food culture - for other snack types . We would have dishes 'Maria's Schlemmerimbiss' is not necessarily frequented. The atmosphere was snack bar type. completely ok (with a touch of typical Greek culture, but unfortunately with a large TV in the corner that showed football games that were of no interest to me/us) Commendably, the outdoor area was partly separated from the weather and provided with a heater - very commendable! ). 'Schlemmer' snack? Maybe. It was just a very unfortunate snapshot, but even taking into account and acknowledging the increased costs, from our point of view one could have expected a truly in-house bifteki for the price of the dish - SORRY! - but unfortunately that really isn't possible, then I don't need to 'go to the Greek' - every Greek grandma would probably turn in her grave if someone tried to present something like that as 'typical Greek bifteki'! After eating, 2 ´ Ouzo ´ (?) were served without being asked, which gave a hint of the otherwise highly valued Greek hospitality. Summary - 1 benevolent eye & 1 sad eye - definitely recommended in our opinion, unfortunately not necessarily for these reasons. We don't yet know whether we'll give you a second chance.

By far the best and original Gyros Pita you've ever eaten. The meat is homemade and all products are fresher than fresh. The price-performance ratio is definitely right. Thank you for existing and you have gained a new regular customer. 😉

Essen : Die Curryfrikadelle war normal lecker, nicht besser und nicht schlechter als in anderen guten Imbissen auch. Die Pommes waren gut. Service : ruhig, unaufdringlich, tüchtig. Das Essen wurde - sehr schnell - an den Tisch gebracht. Der Preis war ok. Ambiente : was soll ich sagen ? Eine mehr oder weniger typische "Pommes-Bude". Großer, geheizter Außenbereich (Zelt) für Raucher. Kein Parkplatz in der Nähe !

Essen viel und gut, im Vergleich zu früher aber mit abstrichen. Je nach Tageszeit werden die Pommes auch 2x frittiert.

Nach Jahren mal wieder in Neuss und da musste ich unbedingt mal wieder dort essen ,leider hat der Wirt mich nicht erkannt wo wir sonst Monate lang dort essen waren ist unter den Kollegen immer noch im Gespräch man braucht nur Maria sagen und alle wissen bescheid. Die Qualität der Speisen immer noch auf dem Niveau ,wie ich es kannte komme wieder keine Frage Danke sehr gutes essen zu guten Preisen
