Sushi was good. Afterwards I would have liked to have a double espresso, but not for €5.80! I don't understand why you want to milk guests like that...

🦞🍱🍣🍛 Everything was great. We were there for dinner on lobster Monday (happens every week). So we couldn't resist and tried their lobster menu. We ordered two lobster menus for 3 people; each menu costs about 99 euros and consists of 1.5 lobsters + two other dishes (we opted for soup and dessert, i.e. a variation of exotic fruit). You can choose how the lobsters are cooked and served: à la nage, grilled, on green mango, etc. We had them grilled. We also shared a portion of rice with chicken and vegetables in curry and a plate of different sushi: all fresh and very tasty. I recommend this place if you are looking for a higher-end place with high-quality food.

My review is for the all-you-can-eat brunch, which is offered every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sushi selection is small, but the rice was too sticky and the salmon was just average. The oysters, which tasted very fresh, should be positively highlighted. The warm buffet offers a wide variety: from dim sum and tom yam to wok, curry and freshly prepared meat and fish dishes. Although the selection is impressive, the taste of the food leaves something to be desired - it is more reminiscent of a standard Asian restaurant. The marinated tuna tartare was disappointing in taste, and the dim sum was unfortunately a bit tough. The fruit selection, however, was fresh and tasted excellent. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. There was always someone there to help with the food. The ambience is elegant and stylish, but the plastic glasses at the drinks bar look out of place and diminish the overall impression. At 92 euros, the brunch is overpriced. The price-performance ratio is not right, even if the ambience is nice. At this price I would have expected exceptional quality and innovative recipes instead of the usual Asian dishes. Unfortunately I won't come again due to the high price.

We have been visiting the restaurant for years and are always very satisfied. The food is very good and the restaurant uses high-quality and sustainable ingredients, especially for tuna and salmon. This also results in a higher price, but in our opinion it is worth it. Even on New Year's Day, the restaurant offers an extensive buffet and live music. It's not ideal for vegetarians, at least at New Year's, as the focus is on meat and fish. I can only recommend a visit to Mangostin Asia! :)

The best brunch I know! Because of the price, I arrived there with high expectations and despite that I was positively surprised beyond all measure. You will receive a very friendly welcome - in general, all the staff are appropriately polite and helpful. The buffet really leaves nothing to be desired. Many things are freshly prepared for you like in a “show kitchen”, you can watch and learn and find out from the chef in a humorous way the background to the prepared food, etc. Always my pleasure

I went to this place to estimate quality of rolls. List of menu is poor, I didn't find interesting signature positions. I ordered California, filadelfia, ebi tempura (hot rolls). Rice is good, but rolls are not stable. So, I don't think about rolls in this place as one of own good dish. I still hope to find any place with really high quality rolls and sushi in Munich. This one is not bad, but it still is not good

Somehow the restaurant is getting a bit old. The food is delicious but the price-performance ratio is lagging; in my opinion, some dishes are high quality and tasty but still too expensive. I definitely have to recommend the award-winning sushi, a dream! And the “Liquid Desserts”. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. Maybe an idea to discuss because it's always super refreshing on the plane and our group was surprised overall that it wasn't carried out in the same way: wet towels are distributed before the meal. It was a really hot summer evening, but we would have still found it more pleasant if the towels had been warm instead of cold.

It's been a long time since we've been to Mangostin. The food was very good as always, but unfortunately the service wasn't really good this time. The order took forever, we only had one menu for 4 people and the food for one only came when everyone else was already finished and only when asked. You're actually not used to something like that in Mangostin and I hope things get better again. Maybe it was just yesterday and the service was having a bad day.

We celebrated our wedding here and the Mangostin team made the day unforgettable for us. The ambience in the garden and the decoration at the tables on the terrace were perfect for us. The service was absolutely exceptionally positive in advance of the arrangements and especially on the day of the celebration. And the food and wedding cake were unique. Happy guests, a happy couple and a really lucky day. We give the Mangostin 5 out of 5 stars.

Brutally. So really brutal. If it didn't cost so much I would be here every week. The selection is gigantic. Almost everything was brilliant. What it wasn't, I just didn't like. But with what feels like 500 different things, there can be something. Already recommended it to others. Reservation follows. The waiters were attentive, no one felt like they were being spoken to, like in other restaurants where they say you order from a colleague. Peter (greetings from Hungary) is probably the good soul of the house. As I said, I'm really satisfied and not many people can actually do that. Only the heat under the sun protection is extreme. Fans should be there to provide at least some refreshment. The awesome food and the heat: my pulse was at 110. 92 euros is really hard, but the selection and service are definitely worth it. I'll be back!

Great variety of Asian dishes from different countries, mainly from Thailand and Japan. Quick service, nice ambience outside. All the plates were beautifully presented and tasted really good. The wine selection was a special surprise for us after we discovered one of our favorite vinzers from Stellenbosch on the menu, which we always like to drink in Namibia and South Africa 👍🏻 The only point of criticism: the portions are too small for me personally - but I didn't want to seem rude and ask again for rice or even order a dish from the menu.

Yesterday we went to Mangostin for a special meal. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food there. I ordered duck breast with vegetables. I had to return it because it wasn't fried until pink and was mostly raw. :-( Afterwards I got another portion, which was appropriately fried but tough. Unfortunately, the service wasn't what we would expect in such a location, very slow and we had the feeling that we had been forgotten All in all, the price-performance ratio was not right and we will consider whether we will visit this restaurant again.

What was going on today? Not for the first time at Mangostin, but today there were a few things that weren't right. The smoked salmon was completely over salted, some of the sushi was very dry. The sauce that was served with the meat was so reduced that it was inedible. I also had the Iberico served much tastier just last week. For the small tube noodles, the dough didn't seem to have risen enough; it tasted like yeast and became more and more lumpy and more in your mouth. Did you whip the cream with the fresh strawberries for too long so that it already contained small pieces of butter? Spring rolls that hardly contain any filling and give the impression of convenience? Isn't it tried before something goes to the guest? There are a few more points that weren't consistent. This at a price of just under €100 per person for a brunch? For me the price/performance is no longer right. I've really enjoyed going to Mangostin so far, but now...

We had an online order with delivery. After waiting for 2 hours we called and were told the order was canceled and they could no longer deliver. But unfortunately it wasn't possible to write an email about it. And they can't give us the money back either. I would have to drive there myself to pick up the very expensive food otherwise we would lose a lot of money for nothing. Of course, something like that doesn't work, it's not legal and after a long fight we would certainly have our money back. But I didn't feel like it. So I'm going there myself. I was received extremely badly by a young lady who was about to slap me in the face. I had to wait half an hour for my food and was treated extremely unfriendly. Overall a pretty bad experience. A clear no go and NEVER AGAIN

We were here for the first and last time. According to the service staff's recommendation, rolled sushi looks like this. There were no alternative offers, apparently they roll up the rice, seaweed and fish themselves 😂. Absolutely bad service. After everything arrived raw in a bowl, we were promised that it would be rolled up, Tata after an hour of waiting you can see the result below. This is what sushi from Mango Asia looks like for €70. wow you're great, keep it up 👍 I don't recommend it to anyone, but there are plenty of better Asian restaurants.

Yes, I can recommend this place. :)) However, I was there several years ago. There was no sushi back then, but instead whole fish with Thai sauce. But you have to move with the times. . The selection was still great. Despite the price increase from 49 back then to 92 today, a full experience. There was also asparagus with very good hollandaise, which I generally like, and a few other things that were more German, which I didn't like. But I also missed more of the lobster, which was explicitly mentioned in the brochure, for Sunday brunch. It's also a bit of a shame that all the cheese for dessert was put away at 2:30 p.m., even though the brunch lasted until 3 p.m. All in all, still great after many years

You can tell that the restaurant concept has been around for many years - Asian is now much better in Munich. The quality and preparation of the food was uninspired and simply not good enough for the high prices. The service was rather helpless, but tried hard.

Unfortunately, once again the service was very slow and we had to wait 35 minutes for our main course because there were simply not enough staff and the poor waiter had to serve too many tables on a Sunday morning

Answer to the Mangostin replica below... Unfortunately a culinary failure. The dishes I tried were not at the right temperature and were very average in terms of appearance and taste - only the prices were above average. Unfortunately, the ambience didn't convince me either - it's not up to date, but rather outdated. It's a shame, I expected more and don't think I'll dine there again. The service, when noticeable, was attentive but unfortunately sometimes linguistically overwhelmed. Overall, it was all rather slow. Answer to the Mangostin replica: First of all, thank you for taking the time to respond and showing that you read reviews. I find that thoughtful and good. In terms of content, it is important for me to note that you obviously had a chance to do justice to my ideas. And that would have been comparatively easy. Unfortunately, there were several things that never should have happened during my visit. For me, one of the biggest faux pas of the evening - besides the almost cold main courses - were the vegetarian spring rolls, which were initially served as an opener and then as part of the starter - unfortunately, with the latter, you could clearly tell from the taste that the spring rolls seemed to taste like the shrimp got into the same oil. By the way, I personally don't tolerate fish protein very well, I eat a vegetarian diet and therefore don't want vegetarian spring rolls with shrimp flavor. Overall, the spring rolls also reminded me of convenience products and, at least to me, didn't taste like they had been freshly produced. Of course, it can happen that the team has had a bad day, some equipment in the kitchen has broken down, etc. - but as a guest I only notice a small excerpt during my presence and that is what remains in my memory. Ultimately, I'm glad you responded here and I hope my experience isn't representative.

The sushi with salmon was OK, but didn't completely convince me. The duck roll was very dry. In addition, I received an invoice that was too high. Even after the first correction, it unfortunately still contained errors, which I only noticed after leaving the restaurant.

Everything was excellent, from the starters to the main course and dessert. Every dish was perfectly coordinated and an experience both visually and tastefully. The service was attentive and courteous.

Visited this upscale old establishment for a renowned Sunday Brunch with a group of friends. A huge variety of solidly executed asian dishes ranging from Pad Thai to nigiris and event going to oyster direction. Nice atmosphere, interior is exquisite (although rather dated) and the staff is quite efficient guiding you through the cloackroom and tables. Nevertheless, I was a little lacking the explanation on how everything is organized and just followed the crowd. But as I was late, cannot complain. Only dishes are included in the flat rate brunch offer, and this is absolutely necessary to be said — even acknowledging the high level of the establishment and variety, paying 93 EUR and later 10 min discussing the division of sparkling water bottles amount guests with waiter is rather a steep price for the whole experience and should be reconsidered.

Everything, everything is great. Elegant yet casual. Great menu, perfect drinks and you can walk out feeling energetic 🙊. My children received a workshop voucher from me and the maître did it himself and it was a complete success🌟

One of my favorite restaurants. The service is great, as is the food. What I unfortunately noticed negatively was that the furniture was very old. A pity. Mangostin is one of the more modern restaurants in Munich. That's why it would be nice to move with the times and also invest in the ambience and furniture. Only well-intentioned 😉

Meine Erinnerungen waren sehr schön. Die heutige Realität leider nicht. Leider alles verloren. Service überlastet, jedes Essen eine Themaverfehlung und auch eher teuer. Nie wieder….

Stichpunktartig: ESSEN: war im großen Teil gut, vielleicht ein bisschen mehr Auswahl von Sushi wäre nicht schlecht, Frühlingsrollen waren nicht mehr zu essen, sehr trocken und fast nur Teig. PERSONAL: mega, respektvoll, sehr aufmerksam und insbesondere der ältere Koch war mega nett und hat einiges gezeigt wie kann man die Suppe zubereiten ( Danke dafür). LOKAL: es hat uns gefallen und man hatte nicht das Gefühl, dass die Plätze sehr eng sind, nicht so laut ( zumindesten für uns), ich muß zugeben, ich achte viiiiel auf die Sauberkeit und insbesondere die Toiletten, die waren echt sauber ( anders ist wie die Kunden die hinterlassen 😅)... Aber was mir persönlich nicht gefallen hat ( man merkt nicht wenn man nicht so wie ich, pendantisch ist 😅), Die Wände waren mit irgendwelchen Flüssigkeiten ( Soßen, Getränke, Suppen, wie auch immer) gespritzt, außer ist es die Deko so , dann entschuldige ich mich. Ich werde mal das Restaurant wieder besuchen 👍🏻

Das Essen ist wirklich eine absolute Katastrophe geworden. Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Teuer , kein Geschmack & man wartet auch noch viel zu lange auf sein Essen. Eine Frechheit! Nie wieder !!

Wir waren mit meinen beiden Kindern am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag zum Abendessen dort. Der Service war unterirdisch und hat uns alle sehr enttäuscht. Wir mussten über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Einfachste Regeln im Service wurden ignoriert. So wurden unsere Gerichte nicht zeitgleich, sondern zeitlich deutlich versetzt serviert. Die Gerichte aus dem Wok haben uns ebenso nicht überzeugt und waren nur mittelmäßig. Obendrein war der Beilagenreis total verklebt. Rundum war der Abend im Mangostin eine echte Enttäuschung. Die Frage unserer Servicekraft nach einem Trinkgeld beim Bezahlen war dann völlig unangebracht.

Aufgrund den postiven Rezensionen bin ich hier hin. Nur leider kann ich mich dem nicht anschließen. Essen ist in Ordnung, aber teuer! Das Essen in diesem Restaurant bekommt man aber überall. Der Service ist eine Katastrophe. Die Bestellung wurde vorerst garnicht aufgenommen. Nach dem dritten Mal kam jemand und das mit Druck sodass wir die Hälfte von dem was wir wollten garnicht bestellen konnten. Getränke wurden auch nicht bestellt da die Kellnerin einfach weg war. Das durfte dann die Dame in der Rezeption machen. Zettel von der Sushi ist verlorgen gegangen bzw vertauscht worden sodass es nicht kam. Es ist der 1. Weihnachtstag und es war voll aber trotzdem dürfen so schwachsinnige Dinge nicht passieren. Das z.B eine Bestellung später kommt als gewöhnlich kann ich aufgrund dem hohen Aufkommen verstehen, aber nicht das oben aufgezählte. Entweder holt man sich mehr Mitarbeiter oder weniger Kunden.

Seit sehr vielen Jahren eine Spitzenadresse für das besondere Dinner. Das Angebot ist sehr vielseitig und das Sushi sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Das Ambiente lässt im eine andere Welt eintauchen und das Servicepersonal hat ein geschultes Auge für die Bedürfnisse der Gäste. Hier passt wirklich Alles zusammen. Immer wieder gern.

Essen und Bedienung super, die Inneneinrichtung ist mit den Jahren nicht mehr up to date aber immer noch authentisch. Hier könnte etwas Geld in die Hand genommen werden.

Leider hatte ich eine sehr hohe Erwartungshaltung nach der Empfehlung von Freunden. Wir haben trotz eines reservierten Tisch im Nebenraum Platz nehmen müssen, der nicht so schön gedeckt war wie der Hauptraum Service kann ich nicht beurteilen wir hatten kaum einen Service. Wir mussten uns selber den Wein einschenken… Dieses überteuerte Exotic Menü war ein Witz, sehr traurig, so viel Geld, wenn nichts ausgegeben zu haben

Ich bin öfter gerne mit meiner Familie oder mit meinen Mitarbeitern im Mangostin gewesen. Wir lieben das Ambiente und die sehr nette und höfliche Kellner, obwohl wir in der letzten Zeit mal wieder nicht so ganz zufrieden mit dem Essen waren. Bei so einem hochpreisigen Restaurant erwartet man eine saubere Leistung, die ich zum Beispiel gestern nicht bekommen habe. Ich habe den Oktopus vom Grill mit Glasnudelsalat als Hauptspeise bestellt. Als die andere zwei Gäste am Tisch ihre Bestellungen bekommen haben, wurde es klar und danach bestätigt, dass man mich vergessen hat. Als meine Bestellung kam, hatten die andere Gäste schon fertig gegessen. Aber dabei nicht genug: Der Oktopus wurde zurück in die Küche geschickt, weil er hart und ungenießbar war. Ich bin enttäuscht!!!

Küche hat leider nachgelassen, war einmal der beste Asiate in München

Hatten einen Gutschein , mussten dann pro Gutschein noch 8, -€ drauf bezahlen. Keiner sagte vorher etwas, erst bei der Rechnung wurde es draufgeschlagen. Finde ich nicht in Ordnung. Die Begründung war, es ist teurer geworden.

Ein schöner Abend hier im Schnelldurchlauf: Kir Royal Austern Thunfisch und Beef Tatar Surf & Turf und Lobster Curry Sehr angenehmes Ambiente, aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Eine super interessante und große Speißekarte und alle Gerichte sehr ansprechend Präsentiert. Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt und das Curry in der Cocosnuss serviert war der Hammer! Einziges kleines Manko: Das Filet war nicht wie gewünscht medium-rare sondern Medium. Die Dame hätte es mir anstandslos getauscht, doch es hat mir auch Medium geschmeckt. Zusammenfassung: ein toller Abend!

Wir waren hier schon öfter. Wieder mal ein besonderer Abend mit meiner Frau. Das Essen sehr lecker, die Cocktails ebenso. Die Dame, die uns bedient hat, man muss eigentlich umsorgt hat, war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Immer mit der nötigen Diskretion, aber angenehmen in der Geschwindigkeit zwischen den verschiedenen Gängen. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Abend. Vielen lieben Dank an das Team.

Einfach gelungen! Eine riesige Auswahl an verschiedensten Speisen! Der Chefkoch Joseph Peter ist persönlich zu Gange und bereitet für den Gast die Suppe mit herrlichen Zutaten oder er schneidet ein super Fleisch auf und verteilt es. Er erklärt auf Anfrage alles was der Gast wissen möchte und ist immer mit Rat und Tat dabei! Alles ist sehr sauber und trotz der Vielfalt an Speisen übersichtlich gestaltet! Das Personal ist freundlich und der Service schnell und hilfsbereit. Ein Besuch hier lohnt sich immer und wir kommen gern wieder! Herzlichen Dank, Joseph Peter!

Schönes Ambiente, freundliches Personal, sehr gutes Essen. Preis-Leistung könnte stimmiger sein. Reservierung wird empfohlen. Leider kaum öffentliche Parkplätze.

Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und auf "verkaufen" getrimmt. So erklärt sich vielleicht, warum wir einfach einen um 16€ teureren Wein serviert bekamen, als der den wir uns ausgesucht hatten. Nachdem wir es auf der Rechnung gesehen haben wurde nur erwähnt, die Karte ist veraltet und den Wein gibt es nicht mehr. Entschuldigung dafür Fehlanzeige. Die gute Bewertung dennoch, denn es war geschmacklich gut und eine angenehme Atmosphäre.

Wieder Mal beim Sonntags Brunch. Inzwischen 80 Euro. Kein Schnäppchen aber der Preis ist absolut gerechtfertigt. Von frischen Sushi über original Thailändische Suppen mit vielen Riesengarnelen und frischer Ente oder auch gigantischer Hochrippe, Heute einen einmaligen Schinken im Wasabimantel. Alles beste Qualität. Natürlich auch eine reichhaltige Auswahl an Dessert. Schön auch die Getränke die inclusive am Buffet stehen. Das sollte man sich Mal gönnen. Es lohnt sich für alle die asiatisches Essen lieben.
