Mangostin Asia in München

Update November 2025: We were big fans of Mangostin for many years. Unfortunately, Mr. Peters' departure is very noticeable. The quality and selection of dishes aren't as good anymore. Mangostin has sadly lost some of its appeal. However, the mojito is still the best in town. The ambiance is fantastic. The food is absolutely amazing. Top quality. And the service deserves an extra star. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful evening at Mangostin. The food was truly outstanding! The service was also first-class; all the staff were very attentive. I must especially mention Kevin, who fulfilled our every wish with his detailed knowledge of wines and spirits. Keep up the great work! Thank you, Kevin, for the excellent evening.

This review is a bit late, but after spending the weekend with friends near Kuffler's home in Eppstein and then enjoying an excellent Kaiseki meal with wine pairing in Deidesheim, I really noticed my favorite assistant Mangostin's disappointment. Okay, we only ate at a comparable restaurant. This is new for Mangostin, good or bad. Mr. Peter is retired, so they're trying new things. My companion was extremely disappointed. An example? An intermediate course consisting of jasmine rice in coconut milk with a single mint leaf? So please, bring more energy back to the restaurant.

There's no better sushi in Munich, combined with this level of service and ambiance. It's pricey, but worth every penny.

Disappointing Sunday Buffet – Quality Has Declined Significantly. We went to the Sunday buffet at Mangostin on Sunday and, unfortunately, the quality has declined considerably compared to previous years. The food appeared carelessly presented, many items weren't replenished early in the evening, fruit was covered in fruit flies, and some dishes were completely out of place at an Asian buffet (e.g., tomato and mozzarella). The presentation of the food and the service no longer reflect the price level and the standards one expects from Mangostin. Overall, it felt more like a perfunctory effort than a high-quality buffet. If the buffet can no longer be offered at a level commensurate with the price, it would be more honest to discontinue it rather than disappointing guests. Very disappointing and a complete letdown.

We went to Mangostin for brunch last night (Sunday). It was a huge disappointment, something we've never experienced before. There was already a noticeable decline, but yesterday we were completely let down by what was offered. There were no salads, just one that was always gone. The curries were bland and lacked any finesse; every Indian restaurant in town offers the same thing. No steak tartare, the papadums were always gone in a flash, there was far too little of them, and the baguette was dry and got progressively harder. The kids' corner with the fries, as well as the entire atmosphere, was appalling. We won't be coming back anytime soon, we're sorry, this is unacceptable! You don't just spend €2 in a place like that. Even though some people rave about the best chicken and curry, etc., what we got yesterday, and even the limited selection, left a lot to be desired. No one here raves about the best chicken and curry, etc. The service was friendlier and more attentive in the past; all in all, all six of us left dissatisfied. :((((

The price isn't right for the quality. The food didn't taste good. The duck was limp. The quality seems okay. A bit too expensive.

Great atmosphere. The food was excellent. The rice and chicken were the best. I was there today with my mom, and she was also thrilled. We'll be back.

First, the positives. The ambiance is lovely, and you can reserve a table without a time limit. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and the service has declined for me. A real shame.

We were a group of 10, only some of whom had been to Mangostin before. It wasn't just the wonderful atmosphere and the very attentive and friendly service that impressed everyone – it was the outstanding food. Fresh, high-quality ingredients, beautifully combined, incredibly flavorful – and... the menu truly offers something for everyone! Over the years, I've never been disappointed – but this time it was especially good. Thank you so much & see you soon!

Sunday brunch at Mangostin! Parking: Very, very difficult, you have to search for it. Restaurant: Great restaurant, very nice ambiance. Service: Friendly and attentive. Price: €69.00 per person. Review: No water included! No espresso included. Only filter coffee. I don't understand why that is. High drink prices. Water should be included in the €69.00 price! The food was good. My favorites were the Asian soup and the stuffed warm veal breast. A very nice chef, who is on first-name terms with everyone in the Bavarian style, is personable, and knows his craft. One criticism here: he sweated profusely due to the heat behind the stove; a cloth for his forehead and face to wipe away sweat would have been helpful. He also repeatedly shoved meat into his mouth with his hands. He then prepared the pieces of meat for the guests without wearing gloves or washing his hands. More emphasis should be placed on basic hygiene here. Therefore, a point deducted. I didn't enjoy the dessert that much. Unfortunately. I would have been looking forward to fresh crepes or a really delicious cake. The sushi was okay, but better at Mangostin at the airport. I liked the mixed crowd, some of which included lots of children. Everything was very sophisticated and relaxed.

Fantastic place for Asian cuisine in Munich. Lovely place both indoors and outdoors with canopies and sitting area. Staff very polite and quick with orders.

Unfortunately, Mangostin didn't impress this time. To enjoy truly delicious Thai food, you no longer have to go to Mangostin—there are many other restaurants that deliver significantly better quality. It's a shame, because the ambiance and atmosphere are still very nice.

For many years, Mangostin has been offering sophisticated, top-notch Asian cuisine. High-quality ingredients and fresh produce form the basis for subtly seasoned fish and meat dishes, with vegetarian options also available. A good wine selection is also offered. Cozy and tasteful decor creates a feel-good atmosphere. Top!

We've been coming here for many years and it's always just as good. We're already looking forward to the next time.

We went to Mangostin as part of our culinary class – they gave us a nice extra table decoration because we were celebrating an anniversary. Thank you! The menu was good; one dish was replaced with a bowl of curry noodle soup, but the portions were very, very small. The wines from Rindchen's Weinkontor were excellent. The excellent service from Suwimon was especially nice! Thank you!

Wonderful food—simply a step above other Asian restaurants—and a great atmosphere. The staff and manager were extremely accommodating and accommodating when a minor (minor) detail wasn't as advertised.

A bitter disappointment. We booked the dining class (a pre-planned menu) and weren't impressed with the taste or the look. Tiny portions and long wait times. We left hungry. Perhaps our expectations were too high, but any friendly Asian restaurant around the corner can do better. Unfortunately, I told a friend about it beforehand, and she had the same experience. And it wasn't the first dining class we'd booked. The dining class at MUN, for example, was fantastic! My point is: it was the mangosteen and not the dining class arrangement.

A very good brunch; everything tasted delicious and was beautifully presented. The service was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Very nice and extremely friendly service

Mangostin, located near Munich's Tierpark, has a long tradition; it stands for quality and a stylish ambiance for Asian cuisine. We visited this restaurant on October 28, 2025, as part of the Ess-Klasse (AZ Munich) program. We received a very friendly welcome and were able to choose another table without any problems, as the one offered didn't suit our needs. The Ess-Klasse always offers a five-course menu with an aperitif and a matching wine pairing at a fantastic price. 1st course: Onigri, a Japanese rice ball filled with umeboshi plums and wrapped in a seaweed leaf; served with wafer-thin slices of fresh ginger. Very good, a wonderful combination of mild and spicy flavors. 2nd course: Kaarage Chicken, deep-fried chicken with miso (soy paste). An absolute highlight: crispy, great meat, simply delicious. Third course: Sticky rice, a coconut milk-based soup, usually with rice, but here with Asian noodles, almonds, and garnished with lamb's lettuce tips. A rich flavor. Wonderfully harmonious. Fourth course: Pork belly with black beans and radish. If you think that's nothing special, you should try it at Mangostin. The meat was tender as butter with a fantastic crust, the black beans were crunchy, and the radish was fresh but not too spicy. Really good. Fifth course: A miso-Bavarian cream, an interesting attempt at combining Asian and Bavarian. Personally, I found the cream too runny, but that's a matter of taste. It was still delicious. The accompanying wines were from Rindchen's Weinkontor and were a perfect match. The service was friendly, attentive, and not intrusive. Summary: an all-round successful evening in a very nice restaurant!

I've already attended my second cooking class there. Very informative, and I learned a lot. Joseph Peters is doing a really good job. It's a shame he's retiring now, but he deserves it. All the best for the future!

Not necessarily the cheapest restaurant in Munich, but certainly one of the best. The food is simply amazing, the service is friendly, and the selection of dishes and drinks is excellent. I'm always happy to come back.

Super brunch, one of the best in Munich

I've always enjoyed visiting this restaurant and really looked forward to the menu. Unfortunately, our last visit was a disappointment. We had the Dining Class menu, which is offered monthly by various restaurants. Compared to last month's menu, which was excellent, this one was unfortunately not at all convincing. The plates seemed poorly presented, and the dishes were disappointing in terms of taste. The sticky rice course was particularly weak. It was just a dry rice ball, with no refinement or suitable accompaniment. Unfortunately, the service also left a lot to be desired. Towards the end of the meal, we were all sitting there with empty glasses, without anyone asking if we wanted another drink or perhaps a coffee. All in all, it was a real shame. We were really looking forward to it, but the menu and presentation didn't live up to what I'd normally expect from this restaurant.

"Dining Class" gourmet special from the evening newspaper. The four of us had booked the five-course menu at Mangostin, including a wine pairing. At the beginning, we were informed that one course couldn't be served because it was already sold out. Instead of sticky rice, we were given a small bowl of soup. Our request to serve a vegetarian meal was honored, but being served a charred leek as an appetizer is quite something. Speaking of serving, in any good restaurant, plates are passed from the right and cleared from the left. Our server, however, stood in front of the table and handed everything (drinks and food) to us to pass through, or rather, asked for them to clear away. The wine and food were "served" without a word. The chicken (a spoonful of the size) had to be sent back to the kitchen to be reheated, as we didn't want it cold. Unfortunately, the kitchen had forgotten to remove the bristles from the small slice of belly pork before frying it. In the end, we went home disappointed, hungry, and €330 poorer (4 meals plus water). Nothing of the old glory remains at Mangostin. It's a real shame.

In any case, a very nice restaurant with high standards and good food. The bar, with its freshly mixed cocktails, is also highly recommended.

An upscale Asian restaurant. A bit overrated.

We always had fond memories of Mangostin as a high-quality Asian restaurant. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case during our visit today. The value for money is simply no longer there. The dishes are at best standard and very uninspired. Unfortunately, the sushi was poorly prepared, the duck was tough and lukewarm, and the spring rolls could have been frozen. I hope Mangostin gets its quality back on track quickly, as it would be a great shame for this renowned restaurant. I actually wanted to give this feedback in person, but only the very attentive service staff were there, and they can't be held responsible for the quality.

We were in the dining class and found the food too expensive for what was served. It was a disgrace, actually.

We were at Mangostin with 6 people as part of the "dining class" and had a very mixed experience. The ambiance is very appealing and harmonious. The service was very attentive and unobtrusive, and the restaurant manager, Mr. Müller, guided us very well through the menu and especially the wine pairing – thank you very much for that. Unfortunately, the food couldn't keep up and was simply disappointing. The "highlight" was the third course, consisting of a scoop of rice smothered in coconut milk and garnished with a bit of garlic, almond slivers, and three leaves of lamb's lettuce. In terms of taste, unfortunately, it was a complete nonentity. Of course, one can't expect the highest quality or the greatest refinement from this offering, but the participating restaurants can use this opportunity to gain new regular customers. This opportunity was unfortunately missed.

We first had to wait about 10 minutes for the staff to process our takeout orders. Afterward, we sat in the garden – and again, nothing happened for 10 minutes; we weren't even brought a menu. It's a shame; with service like that, I simply left. Unfortunately, it's no longer an option for me.

Based on the positive review in the SZ newspaper, the four of us decided to go back to Mangostin. At 7:00 p.m., two tables were occupied—us and one other table. The sushi we ordered was good...but the curries were a complete disappointment...the highly praised signature curry...completely tasteless and, for €39, truly outrageous. The duck curry wasn't convincing either...also pretty tasteless. The only praise goes to the bartender...friendly, unobtrusive service and really good drinks. We won't be back for dinner...too bad...

The rib-eye is perfect, the spinach salad and wasabi fries are delicious 👍. The salmon, on the other hand, was too dry (for my taste).

Very disappointed. All four main courses at our table were sent back - tasteless, no veggies, no spices - just water-thin sauce with a few pieces of canned pineapple and a few cherry tomatoes. Green curry and red curry tasted the same. No difference in color either. A bit of store-bought curry sauce from the jar would have been a giant improvement. The soup and starters were ok. This poor level of cooking quality is really unacceptable - at any price - especially for a Kuffler restaurant. Obviously, they are having problems with their quality control - and quality of cooking staff. The head of restaurant staff was understanding and did not charge us. We ended up getting take-out from a Thai restaurant in Solln - which was ok.

The shine has faded somewhat. Unfortunately, we had a mixed evening in terms of both the food and the service. The soup was tasteless, as were the side dishes for the tuna. Overall, it was intended as a nice birthday dinner for two, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations, especially given the price.

I threw up after the meal; it was obviously not good. The price was too high. I've never had a worse green Thai curry. At least I'll never forget this visit.

The food can be either good or bad, but not everything is top-notch. The vegetarian dishes, in particular, are unimaginative. So far, I can only really recommend the appetizers, and we've been there a few times now. The ambiance is good depending on where you sit, but it's always noticeable that it's not well-maintained, definitely different from what I would expect. This is especially noticeable outside, but also in the restrooms, for example. The service is generally nice, but not always very reliable or fast; you have to factor in a very long wait into your own timing. I always find that it's not worth the price on any level; without a family who always wants to come, I wouldn't go there again.

The selection of raw and seafood specialties is particularly noteworthy: freshly opened oysters, buttery beef tartare, tuna crudo, perfectly blended sauces, and delicate herbs – each dish is like a small work of art. Really good. Pretty wild Asian fusion with a touch of Western, which reminds me a lot of my time in Kuala Lumpur (I can't give a higher compliment than that!). First-class, unobtrusive service, a very pleasant atmosphere. Fun!

We went to Mangostin for the first time in a while, as it used to be our absolute favorite restaurant. It was the best sushi ever. All the dishes on the menu were amazing. During the Corona period, we went to cakes again and a lot had changed on the menu. The quality had already dropped somewhat. On June 5th, we went to the restaurant for my son's birthday dinner and have now discussed the fact that we don't want to go there anymore. The sushi wasn't good at all. It's just not the same as it used to be. I have a few allergies myself and ate ordinary fried rice with chicken and vegetables. This wasn't really cooked through either and what can I say, good is something different. It tastes better at any street Chinese or Korean restaurant. I'm sorry to have to say this, dear Mangostin, but you are not the same as you were before Corona. We won't be coming back. The quality doesn't match the price-performance ratio. Sorry really, because we loved you. On top of that, the menu is so reduced, which we didn't like either. Our grandpa, who was very nice, said that they'd somehow expand the menu next week with other dishes. But what's the point? Our beloved surf and turf isn't even on the menu anymore, and when they still had it after the coronavirus pandemic, even that was changed. Unlike before. And that was world-class, and now it's not even there anymore. Anyway, I just wanted to say that. Best wishes anyway.

Were here to eat food and was football. Staff served us food, even tho they closed the kichen 10 min before we arrived. All are happy and service minded. Great garden and tables outside! Good atmosphere. Great food and drinks!

We were visiting Munich for the first time in years, and since it was my partner's birthday, we went to Mangostin for dinner. A table was already set for us, the waiters congratulated us on our birthday, and to finish off, we were treated to a small birthday cake with a sparkler. Truly very thoughtful. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. The ambiance was lovely. We'd love to come back!

Krupuk was good, the rest was shitty. Drinks overpriced.

We were there regularly and also attended many events there, such as the company Christmas party. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly; I can no longer taste the difference between the mangostin and a dish that arrives to me via a delivery service. Everything bad ends up being the same and lax. The menu has also been massively thinned out and all of our favorite dishes are no longer available. The service also leaves a lot to be desired, maybe we're unlucky because we always come across the same person, but they don't really understand their job in an upper class restaurant. On the last visit she forgot 2 dishes and 2 drinks, some came when requested, some never, but of course they were on the bill. Unfortunately we will be looking for a new regular restaurant.

Unfortunately a very poor price/performance ratio. The food is subpar for the price (dinner for 2 adults and 1 child for 140€). Even starters can quickly cost €25+. Unfortunately, the main ingredient in all dishes is sugar. The quality doesn't come close to the Thai snack bar on the corner. The service was ok, but could have given us better advice on portion size. Definitely won't be coming back.

We ordered through Wolt - the quality was certainly good but the taste was just boring. Quite a disgrace for the price - for 1/3 of the price you can get dishes with more ideas and taste at the Asian restaurant around the corner... What a shame!

I was a regular guest at the Mangustin many years ago and was always very satisfied. After a long time we were back and unfortunately I have to say that the taste of the food has deteriorated a lot. Incidentally, the Thai dishes no longer taste the way they should actually be prepared. Unfortunately, the price performance is no longer right, I think it's time to remember the old days and offer the guest the quality they pay for again. Thank you very much

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the restaurant because I was already disappointed before I came. We had reserved for the family buffet for a long time and wanted to do it as a family for Easter at the weekend. Now the call came that the buffet is no longer available. We would have received a starter place as compensation, but that's something different at €39 per person buffet and children free and play area. I'm very disappointed right now and don't know how to find an alternative at such short notice.

Arrival was nice and polite, we were given a quiet place that we had asked for. Until then everything is fine. The food also looked damn good and was very nicely prepared. However, the quality was more than disappointing. The sushi is cold - even with Rewe from the counter it tastes better. The crab was just dry fluff - no flesh visible. Also the meat was - sorry - disgusting. One was dry (veal), the other I couldn't even try (pork) because it smelled like chemicals/cheap meat. The shrimp weren't cooked properly... and and and. I also reported this to the restaurant management, who could only tell me (very nicely) that the quality will probably be better in the future because there will be a different owner (or something similar). This information for a brunch, per person It costs €89... it's not possible. Restaurants that can do this include La Boheme and La Grenouille. There you also get the quality that is appropriate for the price. The crowning glory when paying the bill: Here too, the service asked how it was. I gave an honest answer (because clearing up wasn't great either, so we had to regularly put the plates aside ourselves). Interrupted in the middle of a sentence with “I understand” - turned around - left. Thanks Mangostin, that was the last time and I can't recommend it to anyone (!!).

Still a nice atmosphere, especially in the “colonial” part. Service friendly but unfortunately a bit overwhelmed (or understaffed) when the restaurant is full. The starters (mostly “classics” like spring rolls) were good. The main courses, on the other hand, have fallen off sharply. 38€ was simply excessive for a lukewarm and somewhat boring Sepia with a few steamed vegetables and fried rice (which was probably not made from “old” rice, because then it would have been much looser). The curries are a bit cheaper, but very thin and unfortunately also boring - hardly any spice or taste, not to mention spiciness (the latter may be adapted to the German palate, but the former is non-negotiable in my opinion). What a shame! And ultimately: these “earthen” dishes, which have found their way into every run-of-the-mill Asian restaurant in recent years, neither suit the (beautiful) ambience nor the food, but rather seem cheap and arbitrary.

I went to this restaurant with my husband. We had to wait at least 45 minutes for our order to be taken and another 45 minutes for the food to be brought to us. The food was nothing special, I definitely expected something better for the price. The waiter did what he could, but the real disappointment was with the waitress Liu. When we asked for the bill, we gave her a tip, but she certainly would have liked more (I should point out that I'm a waitress and have also worked in the restaurant industry for years). I definitely don't behave like her. Apparently he wasn't happy with the tip and so reacted rudely, threw the bill on the table and didn't even say goodbye to us when we got up. We don't behave like that, because everyone gives what they can and everyone gets what they deserve. 😊

Fancy thai restaurant with an excellent kitchen and service, the food and menu is tunen down for the taste of their German clientele. It is not quite what one would eat in Thailand, but it was still a nice experience. The service is friendly and efficient.

The atmosphere is 🤩. On the day we visited it was at least not that busy. So it was calm and beautiful. Service is great. Wines are 🥰. The taste of the food, or at least what I ate was just okayish, hands on the kitchen. Could get better. But maybe they have better dishes..? It’s overall a beautiful place to be, dine and wine..

Me and my girlfriend celebrated our anniversary there. Unfortunately the food really wasn't that good. My girlfriend had a curry and I had the tuna steak. The beef curry was okay, but the meat was rather tough and quite dry. It could have been seasoned a little more strongly. I wasn't happy with the tuna steak at all, I ordered the tuna medium rare and it was almost well done, the vegetables were also overcooked and in general nothing tasted like anything on this plate apart from the sauce. Salt is there for a reason. We also had a papaya salad which was good. It can happen that something doesn't work out, but for the price that's being asked for, that shouldn't happen. Especially basic things like seasoning... Well, the drinks were good. The service was also good, the gentleman was nice and friendly. He was always there when we needed something. The atmosphere is not ours, the giant heads of children in red with white eyes are quite disturbing. All in all, we probably won't come back, but the waiter can get a raise because that's the reason why I'm not giving it one star.

New Year's Eve party was an experience!

The food was good and expensive. Service was attentive and friendly. We were there in January. The big downside: there was no heating. There were eight of us. Everyone was freezing. Other guests also hung up their jackets and coats. The waiter wheeled a small portable electric heater to our table. It barely made any use of it. That's unacceptable in a restaurant.

Upon request, our table was beautifully set. The staff was incredibly courteous and attentive. The lobster bisque soup, in particular, was simply fantastic, a feast for the taste buds! We'll definitely be back soon!

It's been a long time since we've been here for dinner with the family. Unfortunately, not everyone was satisfied with the quality of the food. In the duck dishes the meat was too tough and flaxy. The sushi was poorly rolled and fell apart way too quickly. The reference to the question of whether it tasted good was answered with the note that the kitchen would be informed. With a bill of €250 you could have at least bought the espresso. Too bad! I still give it 4 stars because my lobster bisque and grilled tuna were excellent. Otherwise the service was friendly and accommodating.

Mostly very good food at high prices. The Thai food is authentic and high quality. There is little comparable in terms of quality in Munich. Sometimes quite loud. Very friendly and attentive service. This was my second time at this restaurant and I was really looking forward to this evening. When I made the reservation, I had stated that we were celebrating my birthday. We got a nice table and the food was as good as expected. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the service. An empty water bottle was removed from the table without asking if we wanted more. The missing cutlery at the table was simply pushed into our hands. First, the wrong drink was brought to us and then the food was served incorrectly at the table. The 'birthday' theme was completely lost; no one asked (and there was hardly any activity). I have seen other higher-priced restaurants that offer a small dessert etc. on the house. That was a shame! It's often the little things that round off an evening and that was unfortunately missing here.

It used to be the place for Asian fusion in Munich. It's far from it now. We've been there once in the evening and once for brunch in the last 12 months, and neither was impressive. The brunch was okay, but nothing special and far too expensive. Our tuna steak that evening was cooked on the flame far too long and therefore tasted like a dry shoe sole. There are better restaurants these days, and they're much cheaper too. Not recommended.

We got something from the evening buffet via TooGoodToGo. Unfortunately, the food was not very tasty. Any cheap Chinese restaurant around the corner would be better! The food had hardly any flavor, and the fish dishes tasted musty. We ended up throwing some of it away because we were afraid of catching a virus. The staff weren't particularly friendly to us either.

A few years ago, Mangostin was an institution for upscale Asian dining in Munich. We went there for dinner on December 28, 2024. The service was excellent and extremely friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, I must say the restaurant wasn't heated and it was drafty. We had the set menu; there are better sushi restaurants in Munich; the duck wasn't crispy, and they could have been a bit more imaginative with the dessert. At the end of the evening, an employee actually wheeled the trash can through the restaurant toward the kitchen. What was that all about?

...we were at Mangostin for New Year's brunch. From the lovingly appetizing presentation to the excellent quality of every single ingredient to the authentic taste of each dish, it was a true experience for the eyes and palate...trying the chef's handmade tom yum is a must. Thanks to everyone involved for a truly successful start to the new year. Chef Joseph Peter, who is always present and a veritable treasure trove of knowledge and anecdotes from all over the world, and his entire team are definitely worth one or more visits.

Brunch is the absolute highlight. But we also enjoy coming here in other ways.

A great restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive staff. I gave the food 4 stars because, unfortunately, it wasn't hot when it arrived at the table, but otherwise, the food tasted very good.

2-3 times a year, it's always a great experience. Much of the menu remains the same, but some dishes are always new. Coffee and juices are included in the price and taste very good.

Brunch was good, but today on Christmas Day I had to watch as the boss, Mr. Peters, personally loudly insulted my 13-year-old niece in front of staff and guests because she had rice with curry on her plate in addition to her sushi, and according to him, you could just mix everything with a hand blender. Any grown man who has to act like that in front of children has something seriously wrong with him. I always thought it was family-friendly, but Peters' facade is starting to crumble...

Came for Christmas, service was dull, food was really mediocre and things that were listed as vegetarian actually weren’t (fish sauce) and the menu is really expensive (€20+ per dish). Wouldn’t come again, and it was a shame because we had heard such good things.

It's simply amazing how delicious the food is here. It was also the perfect place for my wedding proposal two years ago. I highly recommend it.

Ultimately, of course, the price-performance ratio dominates...the service in the Peking duck menu for 4 people was absolutely not okay....First, the waiter almost boastfully presents the guests with a delicious-looking roasted whole duck, estimated at 2.5-3 kg. Then, as a main course, the four guests receive a slightly larger noodle plate with vegetables and approximately 400 g of duck meat shreds mixed in, along with a bowl of rice (more rice can be ordered generously). Where the large remainder of the roast duck (leg, breast, etc.) went remains a mystery to the guests...; perhaps the beautifully roasted duck breast was served to a guest at the neighboring table as a main course... In terms of taste, this noodle duck plate with rice was also rather subpar. So, a big fuss about what ultimately was a poor dining experience...mangosteen, at least with the Peking duck, was more show than substance...with a lingering "stale aftertaste."

The legendary break on Sunday in Mangostin. Huge selection of various fish variations as well as meat. The finest sushi with fresh oysters (if you like it) Lovingly decorated and a taste experience 🥹🥰🤌🏽! Every particle is prepared with love and this fine composition from Asia meets... an experience and something very special. The friendly chef, who tailors the best fish soup to his guests to suit their preferences, still has an anecdote to tell about his travels to Asia. We love it 🫶🏽❤️🥰
