Mangold Restaurant in Troisdorf

We visited this restaurant as part of a small Christmas party. Ultimately, the quality of the dishes didn't convince us because they were very neutrally seasoned and individual components of the dishes were only lukewarm. The service staff was friendly, quick and attentive. The ambience doesn't invite you to linger for any length of time.

Good food at reasonable prices. Accepts the Bonn Rhein Sieg voucher book.

A very comfortably furnished restaurant. Super friendly staff! The food is freshly prepared, the portions are (almost too) large, and you can easily take any leftovers with you. The prices are absolutely reasonable. We will definitely eat there again.

A restaurant where you enjoy being a guest because the innkeepers are happy to be hosts. The starter plate was extremely good. Small wishes were fulfilled without being asked. So my daughter got a side salad even though it wasn't included with her meal, simply because our host didn't want her to have to wait while we ate. The friendliness of these people warms the heart in the cold season. The food does the rest.

We would like to tell you about our recent visit to your restaurant, as it was unfortunately very disappointing. At first we were warmly welcomed by a blonde lady, which gave a positive first impression. Unfortunately, this was quickly marred by another blonde waitress, whose rude and less customer-oriented behavior struck us very negatively. The sauce we ordered for the schnitzel tasted as if it only consisted of cream, which neither tasted appealing nor met the usual standard. We also mistakenly received fries instead of the fried potatoes we ordered. When we brought this to the waitress's attention, she simply responded with the words: "It's a shame, but it's too late now." We find such an answer to be disrespectful and unacceptable. She also showed no insight into our polite criticism of her behavior. Another problem arose when paying. We wanted to use a currently valid voucher, but it was initially rejected citing “domestic law”. Only after a conversation with the boss was the voucher finally accepted. As an apology we were offered free roast potatoes on a future visit, which we thought was just a joke given what had happened. Due to the overall situation, we have decided not to visit your restaurant in the future.

There were three of us at Mangold and we were very excited! Great selection on the menu, nice selection on the daily menu with current local dishes, incredibly good and attentive service, wonderful ambience and fast and delicious food that was lovingly prepared. The best restaurant we know of in Troisdorf!

The food was delicious, especially the goat cheese flambéed in honey and the tender, perfectly cooked steak. The fries were also delicious. The starters were good and reasonably priced. This evening I had the pleasure of enjoying a simple mushroom cream schnitzel with fries, a mixed side salad and a delicious, tasty Merlot at Mangold. I recommend this dish to you! If the other dishes I haven't tried yet were prepared to a similar standard to what I saw today, then look forward to a quality meal! The schnitzel was really tasty, it was crispy but not burnt, well done but not dry, the mushroom cream sauce was great, had delicate nuances for its kind, the fries were tasty, crispy, not sloppy, the side salad was excellent. The carrots were even cut into fine chiffonade, well prepared and easy to enjoy. The service was also great! Nothing goes without saying!!! First of all I was greeted nicely, actually had a conversation, but the nice manner was accompanied by the corresponding human attitude, not an act. The chef himself was generous, also nice, professional. The ambience is recommended, with several details, from the table lighting from the candles to the bamboo wall, from the wine bottles and the cookbooks to the cup... Also the paintings or art pictures, the pleasantly placed, appropriate background music. - Even the pleasant clientele that I noticed. Three of us and a child went there for lunch. We had two large salads. Delicious dressing and plentiful. We enjoyed it very much. The service was friendly and accommodating. Wow! Despite the voucher booklet, we were served perfectly and the food was really wonderful! We will also come without a voucher booklet. The young woman in service is just super nice, 5 stars! I always cook myself and make everything fresh, but even my husband thought the schnitzel with mushrooms was UNBEATABLE!🤣❤️ 2 points deducted for deducting money, we were charged a lot more. We asked her about it directly but nothing came of it. If everything hadn't been so great before, I would have insisted on the 5€! But then I thought it didn't matter. But it really disappointed me for a long time to have the rating so bad because of a few pennies.

We spent a lovely afternoon at Mangold. One of the few restaurants that offer hot food all day long. We were warmly welcomed. The excellent service continued throughout our visit. The very nice waitress came several times and asked whether everything was OK or whether we had any further requests. The food was very good. Both the schnitzel was very tasty and the rump steak was grilled to perfection. The price-performance ratio is definitely right here. We'd love to come back.

We were in Mangold today and I have to say, really nice shop. The Schnitzel Bernaise was ordered. There were also delicious fries and a very tasty salad. A really decent portion for a side salad. All in all a very tasty meal. The only deduction I have to make is that the schnitzel was a bit too big in places and also too thick for my taste. But the creamy sauce made up for it. The price of the whole thing was completely reasonable at €15. I would also like to highlight the great and extremely friendly service. You feel very comfortable here, which makes the food taste even better ☺️ Definitely a recommendation

Briefly in advance: We have never had friendlier service than on this evening. The entire team was really super nice. The dishes (selection) were unspectacular, but very tasty. I have to make a deduction because of the menus, which look like they were from the 1990s and because of the fact that card payment is not possible. Basically, I can recommend a visit to Mangold!

I was there with my friend last Saturday. We both ate steak English. He ate fried potatoes, I had fries with sauce. And a salad with dressing was super tasty. Everything was super tasty. The service was super super nice and we come here more often now. I can only recommend it. Really great restaurant 😋

Very attentive and friendly service staff. The food selection is just right. The drinks were brought to you quickly and the food took as long as it took to prepare it. The food was very good. The salad was fresh and was presented very well to the eye. All in all a successful evening and despite it being closing time (9 p.m.), we were not asked to leave the restaurant.

Nachdem das Restaurant zwischenzeitlich etwas abgebaut hatte, waren wir gestern mal wieder im Mangold essen und es war einfach unglaublich lecker. Wir haben uns Pasta gegönnt und die Qualität war perfekt. Das Gericht super abgestimmt, die Portion sehr reichhaltig und die Bedienung total freundlich und aufmerksam. Sie hat auch immer Alternativen angeboten, falls man etwas abändern möchte. Wir kommen definitiv bald wieder. Eine dicke Empfehlung von uns!

We also ended up in Mangold with the voucher book. However, we were very disappointed. When we arrived the staff was sitting in front of the entrance smoking. The service person was very nice, but not entirely focused on the matter. Even though we were the only guests, we didn't receive the drinks we ordered. Would be corrected immediately. Good. The food was scarier. The turkey wasn't fully cooked, the pork steak could have spent a little more time in the pan and the beef fillet was dry, tough and poorly mixed. The fries were nice, but very salty. I don't want to comment further on the wilted salad with vegetables. Conclusion: That was nothing

Wir kommen aus Irland und wir waren in Urlaub in Deutschland, Ende Juni und Anfang Juli . Im Juni haben wir im Restaurant Mangold gegessen and wir fanden das Essen und Bedienung sehr gut. Wir kamen wieder eine Woche spaeter und es war gleich gut. Vielen Dank!

Dirty tables are not wiped down. Vegetables were almost raw, should have been with olive oil and garlic, but didn't taste like anything. When asked, there was no olive oil in the kitchen. The service was very unfriendly, I would say rude.

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and absolutely loved it! The service was first class - the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and always tried to make our evening as pleasant as possible. The good home cooking was an absolute pleasure. We would particularly like to highlight the schnitzel Hawaii and the schnitzel gratinated with cheese - both dishes were perfectly prepared and a real culinary delight. The salad was also excellent: fresh, crunchy and topped off with a delicious dressing. Another highlight was the cozy and inviting atmosphere, which perfectly rounded off the ambience. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant!

Yesterday, three of us had dinner at Mangod. It was very, very good. Finally a schnitzel from the pan and not from the deep fryer. Accompanied with a fresh salad. Freshly cooked pasta in tomato olive oil sauce with tomato pieces and basil leaves. Plus a freshly tapped Gaffel Kölsch. Splendid. The price/performance ratio is definitely right. We received very good service and nothing was missing. Thank you again for this. We can only recommend the chard. And, we'd love to come back.

Went there for my daughter's birthday. Nice cozy atmosphere. Hosts very friendly, attentive. Food very tasty. I can only recommend. It's a shame, however, that you can only pay in cash. But it's not a big deal since the EC machine is in the immediate vicinity. We'll be back 😉

The two of us ate at Mangold today and we were very happy with the food and the service. Since I eat vegan AND gluten-free, it's not always that easy because not every restaurant is flexible enough to respond to these customer requests. Not so with chard. The landlord was very competent and my dietary restrictions were implemented in consultation with me. I could even choose the oil. I felt very understood and in good hands at Mangold. My wishes were taken seriously and taken into account. This is the service I want. Thanks. I will gladly come again.
