The owner seemed very nice to us, so I think it's a shame to have to write a negative review. The price-performance ratio here was not right at all! (33€ for two people) We like to eat Indian, Pakistani, etc. and after the article (re-opening of the restaurant) in Come-On, we decided to eat here, with the anticipation that we wouldn't have to leave the city to eat Indian. The shop is small, but the furnishings are perfect! Unfortunately there are no toilets. Before ordering there were two pieces of roti with two dips. Mango Lassi, Fish Madras and Fish Curry were ordered. The mango lassi was delicious. The two main courses, unfortunately served relatively carelessly on cafeteria plates, tasted the same, with the difference that I had coconut shavings on the small fish fillet, which didn't add anything to the taste. Both dishes are listed under tandoori/grill specialties and described differently, but you get the same thing (I wasn't expecting curry). Neither tasted like a “grilled specialty”. Fish curry “Redfish fillet in a red curry sauce in a delicious North Indian style (G)” Fish Madras “(spicy) redfish fillet with grated coconut in a special spice mixture in a delicious South Indian style (G)” The food was unseasoned and watery. Any taste and aroma of “India” as we know it from other Indian restaurants is missing in vain. During the preparation we could also hear the noise of the microwave, but of course I can't judge what it was used for. To be honest, it tasted like warmed up frozen/ready food. I want to be honest. The owner asked us if everything tasted good and was OK and we said yes so that nothing would be thrown away with the risk that another dish would taste exactly the same. It's edible but it's not what I expect from an Indian. Here you have to work on the ingredients and the quality. Perhaps a smaller, focused menu would be the solution here? Note to owner: Mr. Taj, do not take this review personally, but rather as constructive criticism. I would be happy to be able to eat with you more often and drink a delicious mango lassi, but in this situation this is not possible for us.

Because of the good reviews, I wanted to have Indian lunch today. Was shocked!!! And I mean it. The nice man was very friendly and helpful, but he was a cook, telephone operator and service person. I heard the microwave several times from the table and suspected something bad. Unfortunately, the meat dish with chicken didn't taste good at all. I'm sorry for the owner, but this was the worst Indian food I've ever eaten so far. I left the restaurant disappointed and with an empty stomach.

Visited Mango Lassi for the first time. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The food came quickly and was freshly prepared. The taste was very good, the different levels of spiciness were as described on the menu. As a dessert and guest gift, there was mango ice cream made by the owner on the house. We recommend. So if you are in Lüdenscheid, please stop by. Very pleasant atmosphere thanks to polite interaction. Only cash payment possible.😊

An Indian restaurant in Lüdenscheid. We took a few dishes home with us. The food was freshly prepared and packaged very well for transport. Mr. Taj is very friendly and accommodating. The prices are reasonable and the food tastes really good. As a small thank you we were given a dessert.😊 We will definitely take something with us more often in the future. Can just be recommended.

First of all, the owner is very nice. And the gentleman also asked for a review. Unfortunately the food isn't tasty, the fried vegetables are soggy but the sauces were good. The cheese naan was like a Margherita pizza only without tomato sauce including oregano on top. The soup wasn't bad. Unfortunately the main courses (the core business) were the biggest disappointment. Little seasoned, the vegetables had no bite. As the owner himself said, the food doesn't taste like India. Unfortunately you notice that.

Wir haben das Essen zum Mittagessen abgeholt. Alles schmeckte frisch zubereitet und war sehr lecker. Die Hähnchen Fleischstücke hätten kleiner sein können. Manche waren auch etwas trocken. Aber insgesamt war es sehr authentisch und die Portionen waren ausreichend groß.

Very enjoyable restaurant to eat at, parking was relatively easy to find and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great to eat at. The chef and the server were also really friendly. Recommend for everyone who is looking to eat indian cuisne.

Das Essen war super lecker! Die Portionen (besonders für den Preis) super großzügig und satt machend, sodass wir den Rest eingepackt bekommen haben und nach Hause mitnahmen. Generell war alles frisch gekocht und das Restaurant hat eine super Atmosphäre. Die Gastfreundschaft war nicht zu vergleichen- die immense Herzlichekeit, das Zuvorkommen und generell der ganze Service war wundervoll. Auch die netten Gespräche mit dem Inhaber waren mehr als nur herzlich! Es gibt keinen Kritikpunkt.
