Mama's Werk Restaurant & Cafe in Georgsmarienhütte

We were there a year ago as a couple. The kebab plate was disgusting and thickly sliced, probably the last piece off the skewer. They wanted bread to eat it, but it came about 10 minutes later after repeated requests.

Fresh and delicious food, a very clean shop (including restrooms!!!), super friendly staff, and fair prices. I can't say much more. We'll be back and 100% recommend it!

Simply great! We were there with a group of 14 people and everything worked perfectly from the first moment. We got a large, comfortable table without waiting - and that on a well-attended evening. The food was an absolute delight: fresh, tasteful and beautifully presented. Each of us was thrilled, regardless of whether it was meat, fish or vegetarian. The service was attentive, warm and quick. We were particularly impressed that the boss personally looked after us. It's rare to see so much commitment. An all-round successful evening. We will definitely be back – and soon!

We were there with friends today and are thrilled! Even the starter with freshly baked, warm flatbread was a pleasure. The main courses arrived at the same time, all freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. The service was very friendly, attentive and always in a good mood. The ambience is also wonderful – cozy, stylish and invites you to feel good. We would particularly like to highlight the boss Ömer Arslan, who personally made every effort to ensure that all guests were satisfied - you can feel that immediately! To top it all off, there was delicious Turkish tea and an excellent Künefe - simply heavenly! Quality, taste, service and atmosphere fit together perfectly here. A real showcase restaurant that we warmly recommend. We'll definitely be back!

Food, amazing. I have tried a lot and never hated a single thing and they never got anything wrong, except for the time i found tomatos in my food (i asked for no tomatos) but that doesn't matter. The waiters were always extremely kind and i would give more stars if i could. The atmosphere is also good, as it is never too crowded. Really recommend this restaurant ✨

Had an evening there with friends. Restaurant visually definitely a 10/10. Super clean (toilets, tables etc). Nice staff! When we were there it was a bit full (about half of the restaurant was full). Nevertheless, we waited a really long time for our food (almost 1 hour), even though we hadn't ordered anything wild (2 kebab plates, 1 Lamachun and 2 normal kebabs and pizza rolls). Beforehand we were given some bread with various side dishes on the house because it could take a little longer. When our food finally arrived we were all a bit surprised. The meat seemed like it had been pre-cut and then pan-fried. The meat was super super fatty which is personally not for me. After the visit I had the feeling of having a block of frying fat on my tongue and for the days afterwards my friends and I had a pretty dry throat due to the fat. But you can't deny the very good quality of the pizza rolls! I'll probably eat my kebab somewhere else soon. I paid around €18 for my meal and drink

So we tried and visited the restaurant for the third time. It was also the last time. I can understand if an order is served incorrectly or if the waiters are inexperienced and new. But this shouldn't happen three times to a restaurant with high standards. Especially since we were really, really disappointed with the taste last time. We wish the owners continued success. The two stars are for the ambience and the one waiter who really makes an effort. Update: Given the chance again after a long time - new waiters, food much better and now a place to feel good.

First time in this restaurant. Very well decorated, very pleasant and very clean. The food was delicious, but unfortunately, there was no alcohol aloud (no beer 🙄), and after dinner with espresso, I couldn't drink my Sambuca or whiskey 😒 But from 5 stars, I give 4,5 stars 😉 (Just got to know that this restaurant "Halal" is not aloud alcohol or pig meat)

I haven't eaten there for years and wanted to give Mama's Work (Mama Döner) a chance after a long time. Was just disappointed. Some of the meat wasn't carelessly slapped through everything, and it wasn't beautifully presented. The food has deteriorated extremely compared to the old location in the "Boltehaus". Addendum: Anyone who can read has a clear advantage!😉

We were in the restaurant today and had family visiting. We can't understand some of the very bad reviews here, at least not for today's visit. We were initially greeted warmly and the table was freshly cleaned in front of our eyes. Overall, the restaurant also made a decent impression. We had different dishes. The meat was well cooked and not overly seasoned. Only the slightly thicker piece of beef was grilled medium. Unfortunately, this meat was a bit tough and some had tendons. The kebab was very tasty, the bread side dish was a bit dry. It would also be really good if it was served warm and grilled. The yogurt was a bit boring with just garlic and a little salt. You could have gotten something out of it in terms of taste if necessary. The red sauce was negative, we didn't like it at all, we know it differently. The salad dressing wasn't quite to our taste either and was reminiscent of Kühne's herb dressing, so it didn't taste homemade. The carrot salad wasn't quite to our taste either. A positive thing to note is that it is grilled on charcoal and it tastes really good. Another tip: We wouldn't cover the fries with the meat; then they would sweat and become soft, and they would also absorb the salad dressing. The fries tasted great. Since the overall taste can be improved, a point is deducted from the overall rating. The second point deduction because you can't pay by card. I, in particular, who rarely carry cash with me, would have a problem paying. Luckily we had cash with us. I believe that in 2024 we can expect alternative payment options to be offered. Especially since the receipt states that it is not an invoice.

A few years ago we had a meal with the family at “Mama Döner”. We were completely satisfied with the quality of the food. However, during today's visit I was convinced of the opposite. I ordered Adana Kebab. Already with the first bite I noticed that something was wrong with the taste and I let the skewer fry again. After it was completely cooked through, I still noticed the slightly strong smell. To be sure, my relatives also smelled the meat and together we came to the conclusion that the meat could no longer be good. Then I reported the incident to the actually very courteous waiter, who offered me an alternative dish. I really appreciated that, but I only asked for some bread because I was already feeling slightly nauseous. For me, the matter was settled at this point. However, when I found out afterwards that the waiter told other visitors to our table that he had tried the spoiled mince himself and that the aftertaste came from the fact that it was lamb meat, I began to think the situation was no longer so relaxed take. Since I have experience in the catering industry myself and Turkish cuisine is not entirely foreign to me, I can easily distinguish whether it is an aftertaste of a type of meat or whether the meat is spoiled. I ask for better training of your employees and the immediate disposal of the remaining tainted meat.

On the way from the North Sea to the Hermannsdenkmal we took a short lunch break here. We were warmly welcomed, the food was very good and the price was reasonable. Friendly service and a pleasant environment round off the visit. Everything fine.

We waited 20 minutes for the worst kebab ever. It was two halves of bread and no pocket, the bread was extremely thin and cracked and the meat was disgusting and partly raw. The facility is horrible, far too bright and ugly LEDs.

First time here and little time. This was taken into account and things went very quickly. There is an entrance at the back so it is a short walk from the parking lot. The furnishings are considerably higher quality than the average kebab or fast food joint. But we could even sit outside. I had a kebab plate with fries. It met expectations. Fries tasty and not too fatty. Doner and tzatziki very tasty. And the cold green apple lemonade fizzed really well.

Very nicely decorated, staff nice but the food wasn't that great. The first time I thought ok, maybe it's full & they're under time pressure & today I gave the store another chance. Unfortunately without success, my food was packed and when I took my first bite at home I saw that something long was stuck in my pizza roll.. when I pulled it out it was a piece of foil.. I called them and the employees came too in contrast to . I didn't have to pay for my food. Unfortunately I won't be coming anymore & I advise you to pay attention to hygiene again to avoid further cases...

Actually everything was good, but unfortunately when I wanted to give the rest of the food with me, the salad wasn't packed...

Great place to eat! The chicken from the kebab/rotisserie and the bread simply taste very good. There is also a variety of coffee and a few types of cheesecake. I think they also deliver to your home using the Lieferando app on your mobile phone.

Remarkable Turkish restaurant/café right next to the town hall. Everything is perfect here: sparkling clean furnishings, delicious food, friendly service and fair prices. The kebab plate was accompanied by a greeting from the kitchen with several dips and then tea. Very attentive and customer friendly. Gladly again! Large parking lot with parking disc regulations behind the house.

Nothing negative about the food, except perhaps not enough fries on the plates. Otherwise everything was delicious! Clean toilets! Our favorite in GmHütte! Always my pleasure!

Unfortunately it was very cold at the back of the restaurant, nicely furnished but no heating on 🧊! Unfortunately there were very few fries for a plate meal (€13.90), meat was fine! The service was very nice, we were also the few in the seating area.

Super tolles Restaurant und ehrlich gesagt bisher das beste dieser Art, welches ich in ganz Osnabrück kenne. In der Stadt kommt kein Laden an diesen ran. Sehr netter Service, angenehmes Ambiente und gutes Essen. Es geht auch schnell und es ist nie zu voll oder zu laut. Von hausgemachten Limonaden bis hin zu Grilltellern und Süßspeisen alles vorhanden. Und es schmeckt ! Wir haben sogar Tee von dem netten Mann geschenkt bekommen, der sich im angenehmen Maße öfter vergewissert hat, ob alles bei uns in Ordnung ist. Ich war hier schon 3-4 mal essen und komme sehr gerne her 👍🏼 Solche Läden sollte man unterstützen. Zudem alles helal und sie verkaufen keinen Alkohol, was ich super finde. Elhamdulillah, Ma shaa Allah.

Alles war gut. Das Essen ( Hähnchendöner mit Salat und Pommes ) hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfreich und das Ambiente sehr gepflegt und sauber. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Volle Punktzahl Personal ganz herzlich ... Ambiente hat mich umgehauen habe ich nicht erwartet top modern sauber man könnte auch in die Toilette ziehen so klasse Essen auch sehr lecker....würde dort immer wieder zum essen gehen obwohl ich kein Fleisch esse....

Das Fleisch ist lecker. Leider war auf unseren Wraps nicht dass drauf was bestellt wurde. Die Pommes waren leider sehr matschig und nicht richtig durch. Da das Fleisch aber gut geschmeckt hat werden sie dem Laden eine zweite Chance geben und dann gegebenenfalls mehr Sterne vergeben.

Wir haben schon mehrmals zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Wir wurden stets sehr freundlich bedient und das Essen ist frisch und lecker. Immer wieder gerne!!!!

Sehr netter Service und frisch zubereitetes Essen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Gerichten und zudem ein sauberes und nettes Ambiente. Kommen extra aus Osnabrück nur für den Döner.

Die Tagesgerichte sind so lecker. Heute mit Spinat und ohne Fleisch 🥰. Bei dem Wetter eine erfrischende selbstgemachte Limonade dazu. Super aufmerksame Bedienung und immer ein nettes Gespräch, wenn man möchte. Immer wieder gerne. P. S. Döner und andere Klassiker sind auch sehr lecker.
