We came spontaneously on a Friday evening and were greeted very friendly, even though it was busy. The good service (friendly & funny) continued throughout the evening and the food was extremely tasty! We had different tapas and ordered one dish again because it tasted so good.

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant and I have nothing but positive things to say! The food was simply delicious – every dish was a real treat for the senses. The flavors were perfectly balanced and you could immediately tell that fresh ingredients were used. The ambience of the place is also remarkable. It exudes an inviting and cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. The loving furnishings and pleasant lighting make you immediately feel at home. As for the price, I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food and the service are in excellent relation to the prices. You really get a lot for your money here! Last but not least, I would like to emphasize the cleanliness. Everything was immaculately clean and well maintained, making for a pleasant dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Very reliable and tasty comfort food. Much of the year lovely tables outside under the trees. A few wines by the glass are very good. We loved it for years, yet it keeps improving with interesting additions to the menu, and I think the curries are actually getting spicier — unusual in Berlin!

Food wasn't particularly fancy. Prices are definitely way too high for this. But portion was okay. I wouldn't come here again.

Nice service, good food, nice atmosphere

So I tried it for the third time and was again disappointed with the food. Udon noodles with chicken swam in a broth that only tasted like stock powder with a slight spiciness, no aroma. Plus the usual pieces of vegetables: carrot/zucchini/broccoli… just not tasty, what a shame.

I particularly like all the dishes they make (mainly rice dishes)! They are tasty, well presented and have great portions. I've lost count of how many times I've eaten at this restaurant, so I highly recommend it!

We can't recommend it, try it yourself, the list of negatives is long! Duck was rubber; exposed outside from bird droppings and street dirt; Operation with communication difficulties; Gentlemen's toilet very narrow; The seating inside is not very nice! These as examples!

Vietnamese tapas are great! Tasty, fresh ingredients and friendly service. Not expensive. We will definitely come back here.

We where looking for a good lunch yesterday. We passed by this vietnamese tapas concept, we wanted to try this. The food was delicious and the portions where large enough. Have thought of going there again because it was so cozy here! Would 100% recommend!

Excellent food and service. Great drinks menu. Good for Vegetarians. We have brought groups from 12-25 people here for post-work-event dinners and it has always been smooth with easy communication with the staff and happy guests. In Summer there is the possibility to reserve a large table outside, which is lovely because the street is quiet with big trees.

Well eaten in a nice atmosphere. The food could contain a little more personal recognition.

Small restaurant with very narrow tables. When I was there the restaurant was very busy. The last table that was free was in the middle of two other tables that were just inches from my table. You just have to like it. Of course there are also other tables where you have a little more space. I have to say that I didn't have a reservation either and I was happy to be able to eat there at all. The staff was great as usual. The food was okay, but it didn't taste more. Paying by card is no problem

The pho was great, but the udon I had was basically flavorless. I had to use about half of the hot chili paste bottle for it to have any flavor.

I was there with my husband and our 1.5-year-old baby for lunch on Sunday. Upon arrival, I was the first customer at the restaurant and was greeted by a waitress who seemed preoccupied with a call on her mobile phone. When we requested a baby chair, she instructed us to fetch it ourselves, despite the restaurant not being busy. I was surprised by her constant phone usage and lack of attention to customers (her earpiece was always in and she was constantly talking on the phone). The service provided was terrible and rude, especially considering the price paid at this establishment. I regretted that I tipped her (I do it as a common practice in restaurants in Berlin), because she didn’t even bother to say Thank you. I will not be returning to Mama's Banh. It's essential for that waitress to address her attitude.

Rip off! It's nice to sit outside and the atmosphere in the restaurant is quite inviting. But the food can't do much. I ordered a curry and complained about the ridiculously small portion: for €14 there were only a few small pieces of meat and the vegetables were pretty poor quality. The answer was a bland “the portions are always like that”! The high point was the reaction: more sauce was poured in and a few more carrots were added! To make matters worse, I observed an employee delivering goods in ALDI bags, which may explain the low quality. Water with gas is only available here from a carafe, which is filled with the cheapest water and is priced extremely high! A small 0.33l bottle of “Saigon” for €5.50??? I will not support this business practice!

Delivery is an absolute rip-off - 13 euros for a dish - then it's vegetarian, so absolutely cheap ingredients for the restaurant and in return you get a mini portion that mainly consists of rice - I actually feel like I'm being ripped off! Never again !!!

Gemütlicher und sehr gut eingerichteter Ort. Die Pho-Suppe ist ausgezeichnet, vor allem der Geschmack der Brühe. Der Geschmack der Ravioli mit Garnelen ist viel normaler. Große und sehr gut handhabbare Toiletten.

I can’t remember the last time i had such aweful Vietnamese food. It was so bad that i almost blast laughing and was angry at the same time. Like seriously? You selling this to your customers loI truly don’t understand the good ratings online. This place is visited by a decent amount of German people (no asians). There is really nothing good about this place. I start to doubt the ability for people living in the Prenzlauer Berg Kiez to evaluate good Vietnamese food... The vegan pho soup.. I laughed when I ate it.. like guys are you serious lol. It tasted 0 like pho, watery. The shrimps were absolutely dry and hard as if they’ve been forgotten from the past few years in any fridge at the corner. The summer rolls were hard and lacked in taste. Taste wise everything lacked everywhere anywhere. We left very dissatisfied. The pfannenkuchen was bad, the rice dish with shrimp was bad, the summer rolls were bad. The pho was terrible. Sorry guys! There are so many Vietnamese spots around that are so much better and across berlin by far better ones. Price wise we were charged higher than other places with a small amount of proteins. The service was rude ... completely dissatisfied sorry guys. Never again.

Really cosy place with tasty food

Fabulous food, friendly service, we had a really lovely meal and were made to feel very welcome.

I liked it. When we arrived at 6.30 pm there were only a few customers. We were offered a great table right next to the entrance door. The interior is antique and looks great. The service was very gentle and attentive. We ordered chicken soup, beef with rice, stuffed dumplings, rolls and we had a caraffe of half a litre sparkling water. When we left about an hour later all the tables were taken. Altogether, we enjoyed it.

Unglaublich leckere vietnamesische Küche. Alles sehr frisch. Hatten das Bahn Bao als Vorspeise und Udon Nudeln als Hauptgericht. Die Nudeln hatten die perfekte Schärfe. Zu jedem Essen bekommt man geröstete Erdnüsse und Chilli Öl gereicht. Ein nettes Extra.

Bei Sonne im Gastgarten mit vietnamesischen Kaffee auf Eis, Baobuns, vietnamesischen Crêpes, hausgemachten Würsten und Sommerrollen - eine sehr solide Angelegenheit! Freundlicher Service und ein noch vertretbaren Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Eine gute Wahl, wenn man in der Gegend ist.

Gewöhnlich. Zu viel erwartet, noch weniger bekommen. Leider glänzte hier nur das leere Geschirr auf den Tischen, dem sich niemand berufen fühlte, bis dann doch jemand die reservierten Plätze einnehmen wollte. Pluspunkt - Reservieren nicht nötig, kaum jemand da. Trotzdem lange Wartezeit auf's Essen. Auf was man wirklich nicht warten sollte - dass die Vorspeisenteller weggeräumt werden. Dafür wird der Tisch rechtzeitig sauber gemacht, wenn man bereits sitzt. Ambiente geschmackssache. Einzig einheitliches sind die Toiletten. Manche mögen ja den zusammengewürfelten Stil. Meins ist es nicht. Und dem imbissbudenartigen Sojasoßenspender auf Augenhöhe kann sicher niemand was abgewinnen, wenn man weiß was der Spaß kostet. Preis-Leistung unangemessen. Beim Essen darf man noch streiten, meins war simpel und recht wenig und dafür zu teuer. Die Karte hebt sich tatsächlich nicht positiv von den umliegenden Restaurants ab. Preise für Vorspeisen und Getränke sind salzig. Wie das Essen meiner Begleitung. Denk man eigentlich, ein Trick um mehr der kleinen Mangolassis in den Whiskeygläsern umzusetzen. Nur gut, dass man nicht gefragt ob man noch was trinken möchte. Auch sonst nichts gefragt wird. Weiß nicht ob es aufgefallen wäre, wenn ich einfach gegangen wäre. Am dreckigen Geschirr am leeren Tisch sicher nicht. Aus Frust musste ich mir noch viel zu süße Donuts auf dem Weg nach Hause besorgen. Wenn die Läden zusammenarbeiten - gutes Geschäftsmodell!
