Mamalicious in Hamburg

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great vegan/vegetarian restaurant with a casual, relaxed atmosphere! Despite being packed, the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, the portions were generous, and everything tasted simply amazing – fresh, creative, and perfectly seasoned. The value for money is excellent, and the bagels, in particular, are highly recommended. I'll definitely be back!

Mamalicious is a great shop with a very good selection of vegetarian and vegan food and drinks. The Eggs Benedict were excellent, as were the Caesars Salad and the Strawberry Milkshake. A clear recommendation.

The service and the food was amazing! The waiters were very friendly as well. We had to wait a bit, but it was worth it :)

Definitely a pretty cool shop with friendly staff and a small breakfast selection. The food was sometimes a bit garlic-heavy and the price/performance ratio was a bit steep, but overall it was okay.

Amazing food! It is truly a Canadian experience. But be prepared to wait in line if you go for breakfast, very full. We waited about 45mins or so. I would suggest going for lunch. Even with the wait, it was a great time. Would recommend STRONGLY! 🍁 The bathroom was not very tight, and didn't have drying towels.

Very tasty food, very nice people, centrally located. Now widely known in the city and among tourists, it is unfortunately neither quiet nor without waiting times. No longer an insider tip, if you don't mind waiting 5-15 minutes for a table for brunch, you can have a great vegan feast here.

The Canadian breakfast is actually a PERFECT hangover measure. then paired with caramel macchiato…wow! keep it up 👏

Excellent place. From the service to the food and the speed of service. For someone who is not vegan, I ate there and loved it. Even on a vegan diet. The desserts are sublime! A place to revisit!!!

Really awesome food. Carefully two dishes are possible, but require commitment.

Unfortunately, we weren't allowed in with babies in strollers; we were intercepted right at the door. We were then told, even though the shop was empty, that the car had to stay outside, which is difficult with 2 sleeping babies. It's a shame I would have liked to eat something, but luckily there are enough options nearby where you are welcome to come with a car.

We went with a large group of 6 and arrived early to avoid the wait. The food was good but people should be aware it is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. Most of us had dishes with “bacon” that turned out to be vegan bacon. It still tasted fine but some people were confused and didn’t realize that is what they ordered. We had a great waiter but the service was a bit slow for the group. But, we expected that! Still a lovely time and great to have some Canadian eats.

I had the pancakes and although they were really fluffy, they were quite dry. They also tasted a lot like pretzels, probably because of all the raising agent. I would still come back again and try other dishes :)

Everything tastes good here. But by far the best are the pancakes. That's what I keep coming back for.

Great place, with great food and portions are really big. We have Benedict eggs with potatos, milkshake from Strawberry, and Pancakes with blueberry with maple sirup. I cant decide what was better. Really great place, always full, we were waiting for table like 20min, and on the and we needed to sit on bar but because of food, we really didn't mind.

Die Bedienung war sehr langsam und unaufmerksam, aber freundlich. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber nicht mega und es hat fast eine Stunde gedauert bis es kam. Kartoffeln sehr fettig und nicht knusprig, was schon komisch ist bei so viel Öl. Was uns genervt hat war, dass uns am Ende fast 10 Euro zu viel in Rechnung gestellt wurde, was uns leider erst zuhause aufgefallen ist.

We had eggs benedict and a mango passion fruit smoothie - it was very tasty and filling, in the style of an American diner :) you can do that!

We had to wait 40 minutes for our food, the coffee came after 45 minutes. That was actually a little stupid. But the food was very good and vegan. The staff was also generally friendly.

The food was very tasty and the price was right. However, we had to wait an hour for two drinks. It was announced that the meal would take a little longer. But I've never waited so long for drinks.

This is definitely my new favourite Café in Hamburg! The service is by far the best I have experienced in a very very long time. The food is absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is a must try! The combinations and specials are just perfect and extremely thoughtfully created for everyone who appreciates an indulgent meal. Very tasty, but we had to wait over an hour for our food to arrive.

The scrambled eggs and potato pieces were clearly too salty. I waited almost 1 hour for my food while guests who came after me got their food before me.

Loud and crowded - that's because of the excellent cuisine! You have to have time - but that's what it says on the homepage - and then you'll be treated to the most amazing pancakes!

Perfect. Everything was delicious and well thought out, not slapped together. We ordered a fully vegan meal for each of us - the full Canadian, the Belt and the special salmon bagel - all excellent. This is the type of place we wish existed everywhere - honest prices, great service and delicious food.

I came for the milkshake and stayed for the food. 😊 The best American breakfast I have had in Germany so far! I'll definitely come back.

The food is amazing! My boyfriend agreed. A perfect place for any vegan/vegetarian! The music was rather loud, but the light was nice and dim. The service was great. Will definitely be back.

Rustic, alternative ambience, super friendly service and great vegan scrambled tofu. It took a while for the tofu to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The portion was huge, plus a good pile of fried potato cubes. I was fed up. Definitely come back.

In 2019 Dec, I had Hom Dirty Fries with Eggplant Burger here, the eggplant burger was nice but the Hom Fries gave me some extreme diarrhea for the rest of the day, would not recommend this place.

Very tasty pancakes! Feeling like an American diner

Feel like I'm in on a bad joke. I'm not from Hamburg but I'm always in the city for work or in my free time and as a vegetarian this shop was recommended to me. I tried to order Eggs Benedict here three times this year. The first time it said it was only available on weekends - okay, my mistake. The second time it wasn't on the weekend either, no exact information, just "not available today". I ordered Full Canadian instead: it was okay but not great and certainly not satisfying if you've been looking forward to another dish the whole trip. Now I wanted to try it a third time - the table next to me had just been served a nice, juicy plate of Eggs Benedict. Then they tell me “sold out for today”. All other dishes (including other egg dishes and faux bacon) available. What don't I understand? How can there be eggs for omelettes and fried eggs in the kitchen but the poached egg for today is out? Same ingredient. If it's the muffin, give me other bread - easy. But they didn't want to talk to me about it. I just wanted to cry. Mamalicious and I are probably just not meant to be. Please tell me where I can get vegetarian Eggs Benedict in Hamburg!

A sweet place. Pancakes are incredibly delicious. Portions are big. Vegan bacon eggs were good. It was the best meat derivative I have ever eaten as a vegan.

Best vegan breakfast I've ever had. Food comes quickly and warm. With an outdoor area, unfortunately without a roof but that's the only thing missing, the rest is perfect.

Very good food! Everything is freshly prepared, especially good for vegetarians and vegans! Unfortunately the ambience isn't quite my cup of tea as it's quite loud and a bit stuffy. However, you can also sit outside in summer!

A great place to have a vegetarian breakfast! I had the scrambled egg with bacon, fried potatoes and toast. The bacon could have been a little crispier and the potatoes were a little oily but otherwise very tasty. The service was very attentive: we were offered a high chair and a second glass plus straws were brought to us for the orange juice. Thank you very much for that!

Unfortunately, our visit was anything but pleasant. When we arrived, we (two adults, one baby - weekday mornings) were told that we weren't allowed to come into the store with a stroller. Then I asked where I should go with my 3 month old baby. The waitress asked for a chair for babies. Unfortunately this chair wasn't suitable for babies...so I had the baby in my arms the whole time. then we wanted to order eggs benedict. But they are only available on weekends. okay, so we ordered the candy special. Unfortunately they came with potatoes that were way too greasy (sponge in oil). I ordered a fried egg but got scrambled eggs. The pancakes were very rich and the sauce was way too sweet. Unfortunately, in addition to the wrong order, it was also simply not tasty at all. But the highlight was that after our food was served, the waitress never once asked if we wanted anything (we were sitting at the counter) and when I ordered a coffee myself, unfortunately it never came. Accordingly, unfortunately only one star. In Hamburg you can really have such a good breakfast in so many places. unfortunately not here.

Nice service and really delicious scrambled tofu (especially the potatoes with it!). In my opinion, the French toast could have been a little crispier :) Be prepared to wait a bit!

The food was super delicious, we both had the sandwich with homemade fries, two coffees and two mimosa. Unfortunately we waited a very long time for our drinks (20 minutes) and our food (40 minutes), the service staff were so semi-friendly. Bit of a shame.

50 minutes for a pancake + worst patatas ever. Complement for waiting with a 4 years old = 2 toasted bread.

Unfortunately, I think we had a bad day. We waited quite a long time for everything, but there was only one waitress in the whole store, which may not always be the case. And when we got our long-awaited French toast, we discovered that it was burnt black under the blueberry sauce (very tasty).

Wonderful vegan breakfast at Mamalicious😋 There were super delicious pancakes with blueberries and cream, plus maple syrup. As a hearty counterpart, we treated ourselves to scrambled tofu with bacon and a lot of cheese, plus fried potatoes and crispy toast. For drinks we had a Biscoff latte (super sweet) and white chocolate mocha😍 it was all super delicious and more than enough and filling. Be sure to come by early on the weekend, it's very popular and there's a lot going on. Which is completely understandable and justified. ❤️

The best vegan breakfast I've ever eaten! Mac & cheese with César salad, French toast with chocolate and a Biscoff cheesecake that melted away. Simply incredibly cool! The staff is super friendly. It's worth getting there early as the shop fills up quickly. You have to wait a little longer than usual for the food, but it's fresher than fresh and prepared with so much love! Perfect for a relaxed start to the day. The location itself is also beautifully decorated. Lots of love here from Hanover!

The Full-Canadian vegan breakfast is awesome. The vegan scrambled eggs are delicious and have a wonderful texture. You often have to queue up to get a table, but it's definitely worth the wait.

Grossartiges Erlebnis im Mamalicious! Das Ambiente ist sehr einladend und authentisch, der Service super zuvorkommend und freundlich - und das Essen? Nun ja, es war perfekt! Es war frisch, gut und viiiiel!

Ein sehr authentisches Frühstückskaffee mit einer grandiosen Auswahl an veganen und vegetarischen Speisen. Wer gerade eine Diät macht, sollte seinen Besuch verschieben - dafür ist das Geschmackserlebnis umso besser. Wir können den Bagel, die homefries und den Scrambled Tofu sehr empfehlen. Die Speisen waren besonders frisch und liebevoll zubereitet. Ein sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Wir waren während unseres Besuchs in Hamburg 2x im Mamalicious zum Frühstück. Der Service war sehr freundlich und gut, das Essen und die Getränke waren sehr lecker. Am Samstag ist es sehr gut besucht und man muss mit einer Wartezeit rechnen, bevor man einen Tisch ergattert. Da wir nur zu zweit waren, ging es sehr schnell.

Super leckeres veganes american Diner. Es gibt nur Frühstück und ist jeden Besuch wert. Man muss allerdings Geduld und Zeit mitbringen.

Mein "Go-To" Frühstücks-Restaurant! Das Essen ist jedes Mal super lecker und sehr frisch zubereitet. Es ist für jeden was dabei und der Service ist zuvorkommend.

great vegetarian canadian breakfast/brunch with a lot of vegan option. never been hungover but i’m sure this is great hangover food. you should try the canadian (pancake and scrambled tofu). also a lot of nice coffee drinks. biscoff latte is my personal favorite.

Man sollte einiges an Geduld und Zeit mitbringen. Vor dem Laden war eine Schlange und es hat etwa 20 Minuten gedauert bis wir einen Platz bekommen haben, dabei gab es reichlich freie Plätze die allerdings noch mit Geschirr voll waren und auch voll blieben. Es wurden Gäste vor uns bedient die nach uns reinkamen. Auf die Getränke mussten wir lange, etwa 20 Minuten, warten und diese waren auch schon leer als unser Essen nach etwa 45 Minuten, nach dem wir bestellt haben, ankam. Ehrlich gesagt, war ich kurz davor zu gehen. Der Erdbeer Milchshake ist mega lecker und auch der Nutty Canadian war sehr lecker, aber klein für den Preis. Der 'Full Canadian' mit scrambeld Tofu war sehr lecker, aber mir persönlich war zu viel Kurkuma enthalten und es war etwas trocken, und sehr satt machend. Das Grilled Chesse, mit veganem Käse, war auch gut aber als es kalt wurde schmeckte man deutlich die Pflanzenmargarine. Es war bisher das teuerste Frühstück was ich hatte. Die Toiletten waren sauber und sind geschlossene Räume. Ansonsten war es sehr laut, sowohl die Musik als auch die Gäste ( wofür das Restaurant nichts kann) die Mitarbeiter warwn alle sehr nett.

Preise sind okay. Service ist top! Muss man mal gewesen sein.
