Ein tolles Menü. Der spezial smoothi ist ein Hit! Leider unangenehme Hintergrundmusik und eine merkwürdige Stimmung bei den Angestellten. Aber vielleicht nur eine Momentaufnahme... der veggie Speck ist eine absolute Empfehlung!

Ein schöner Moment, die Terrasse ist herrlich, wenn das Hamburger Wetter es zulässt, draußen zu sitzen! Reichhaltige und schmackhafte Gerichte.

Super leckeres Essen! Die Portionen waren auch definitiv ausreichend. Nettes Personal, leide rhat es etwa solange gedauert, bis wir unser Essen bekommen haben, deshalb nur vier Sterne:). Es gibt eine sehr große Auswahl für Veganer, und der Rest ist Vegetarisch und unfassbar lecker.

Wir waren mit der Familie (zwei Kinder, zwei Erwachsene) am Sonntagvormittag bei Mamalicious und konnten noch gut einen Platz ergattern. Die Lautstärke war mäßig laut, aber gerade passend, sodass Kinder, die möglicherweise ihren Geräuschpegel noch nicht ganz kontrollieren können, nicht negativ auffallen. Die Speisekarten waren ausschließlich auf Englisch vorhanden, was uns zwar nicht vor Probleme stellte, aber eine Speisekarte auf Deutsch in einem Restaurant in Deutschland sollte keine große Hürde darstellen. Als Getränke hatten wir Saft, Kaffee und Smoothies – war alles sehr lecker. Die Speisen waren wirklich solide, aber die Portionsgrößen waren schlichtweg nicht schaffbar. Vor allem auch aufgrund der Tatsache, dass wir zwei Kinder im Alter von 5 und 10 Jahren dabei hatten, hätten wir uns den Vorschlag gewünscht, dass hier angepasste Portionsgrößen ankommen. So saß unsere fünfjährige Tochter vor einem riesigen Berg an Pancakes, von dem sie wahrscheinlich gerade mal ein Zentel geschafft hat. Eine Servicekraft sollte hier ein wenig mitdenken und eine kinderfreundliche Portion anbieten. Wir kannten die Portionsgrößen als Gäste im Vorfeld leider nicht. Auch unsere zehnjährige hat nicht einmal die Hälfte des Essens geschafft. Es gibt zwar auch drei Speisen für die "Lütten", aber bedauerlicherweise keine Pancakes. Das ist für ein Restaurant, welches dafür bekannt ist, mit die besten Pancakes von ganz Hamburg anzubieten, etwas schwach. Geschmacklich war es ordentlich, wenngleich die "scrambled eggs" mehr einem Omelett glichen und hier deutlich Salz gefehlt hat (Würze auf den Tischen war nicht vorhanden) und der vegane Bacon für mich ungenießbar war. Letzteres ist aber sicher Geschmackssache. Die Wartezeiten waren insgesamt sehr lang, aber die Vorwarnung kann man auf der Website bereits lesen, daher alles ok. Zu guter Letzt kann ich sagen, dass ich Mamalicious vermutlich durchaus wieder besuchen würde, aber nicht mehr mit der Familie. Für Kinder sind die Portionsgrößen viel zu groß, die Wartezeiten zu lang und es gibt nur eine äußerst geringe Auswahl an Speisen für Kinder. Auch die Preise sollte man dann nicht außer Acht lassen. Für vier Getränke und vier Speisen haben wir 90€ bezahlt. Wenn die Kinder Lust auf Pancakes oder amerikanisches Frühstück haben, würde ich doch eher Spots wie Miss PeppeR etc. empfehlen. Für (ausschließlich) Erwachsene aber sicher einen Besuch wert.

Mega freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksame Bedienungen, sauber und offen aber Ambiente ein wenig runtergerockt (gehört aber so zum Schanzenviertel ;) ) Absolut empfehlenswert

Ich habe hier wahrscheinlich das beste vegane Fleisch meines Lebens gegessen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn ich in Hamburg bin.

Essen war sehr lecker aber variiert je nach Tag. Portion French Toast hat mich leider nicht satt gemacht. Ambiente nicht wirklich gemütlich leider.

Das war womöglich das beste vegane Frühstück, das wir je gegessen haben. Wir waren beide Tage mit dem französisch-kanadischen Gast dort und haben uns außerdem noch einen Teller Pfannkuchen geteilt. Ich hätte am liebsten noch mehr gegessen! Ja, der Service ist etwas langsam, aber wer Fast Food will, geht eben zu McDonald's. Liebevoll zubereitetes Essen braucht eben seine Zeit.

Der beste vegane Bacon, den ich je hatte! Tolles Restaurant für süßes oder herzhaftes vegan/vegetarisches Frühstück mit kanadischem Flair. Bacon, Fries, Pankakes, Scrambled (Tofu), alles super lecker! Wer nach den Pankakes noch Lust auf noch mehr Süßes hat, findet auch eine große Auswahl an Kuchen.

Sehr leckere und sättigende Pfannkuchen mit wilden Heidelbeeren! Tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Tee ist kein billiger Produktionsrest aus dem Supermarkt, sondern hochwertiger, loser Tee, der vom Personal in Papierfilterbeutel abgefüllt wird. Wir waren am Sonntagnachmittag dort, und es war sowohl drinnen als auch draußen voll, sodass wir an der Theke Platz nehmen mussten. Der Service war etwas langsam (aber nicht, weil niemand gearbeitet hätte, sondern weil es für uns drei einfach zu viel war). Die Dame, die (meistens) die Getränke zubereitete, war äußerst nett und aufmerksam, aber die übrigen Angestellten im Gastraum waren nicht ganz so freundlich und kompetent.

4,50€ für einen Mini Cappuccino inks Aufpreis für Hafermilch…. Sehr schade. Er war aber lecker

Das Essen war unglaublich. Ich hatte schon so lange lust auf ein american breakfast und genau das habe ich hier bekommen, sogar in vegan!! :)

Sehr leckeres Essen, schade, dass man für Hafermilch extra zahlen muss und die Milchshakes anscheinend nicht vegan möglich sind. Die Musik war leider auch relativ laut, sodass es schon schwer war sich entspannt zu unterhalten. Sonst eine nette Atmosphäre.

Ich komme erst jetzt dazu, eine Bewertung für dieses Lokal zu schreiben, das ich im November besucht habe. Als Kanadierin fand ich es wirklich erfrischend, dort zu frühstücken. Der Besitzer war sehr nett und gesprächig und hat mich herzlich empfangen. Schön, in Hamburg kanadisch inspirierte Frühstücksgerichte zu finden! :) Ich hoffe, ich kann wiederkommen, wenn ich das nächste Mal in der Stadt bin!

Das Essen war super! Und die Bedienung ist total freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich hatte Rührtofu mit veganem Speck und veganem Käse. Und es hat mir köstlich geschmeckt!

Morgens gerade am Wochenende sehr voll. Unter der Woche Nachmittags dafür sehr entspannt. Die vegane Auswahl auf der Karte ist gut, beim wechselnden Kuchen und Tortenangebot aber eher mäßig. Ich finde auch Hafermilch als aufpreis zu Kuhmilch anzubieten nicht mehr Zeitgemäß. Die Pfannkuchen sind super lecker und das Mac and cheese ist grundsolide

Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut. Die Portionen machen auf jeden Fall satt. Es kann etwas lauter dort sein, weshalb es nicht ganz so gemütlich war.

I'd love to come back! ♥️ Excellent value for money, tasty and delicious food, quick and attentive service, and a cozy atmosphere despite the simple decor. It could have used a touch more salt in a few places, and the place is so popular (which speaks for itself!) that it gets a bit noisy and isn't really a place to linger, as there are always new customers waiting (at least on Sundays around lunchtime).

We were satisfied...we only had drinks...we felt very comfortable...I can't say anything more about the food.

Whenever we're in Hamburg, this is a must. Mac 'n Cheese is better than in America...

An alternative spot with a wide variety of drinks and breakfast options. The pancakes were very fluffy and warm. They have many vegetarian options, like bacon. I recommend it!

The food itself was okay. However, we were bothered by the fact that we had to wait half an hour for our drinks. We also received extremely inappropriate comments regarding the tip we left. So if you like to decide for yourself how much you want to tip, we wouldn't recommend this place!

I bookmarked this food spot for my trip to Hamburg and was not disappointed. It's a cool place with a very friendly owner. The blueberry French toast was delicious. The decaf cappuccino was also very good. I would love to come back again.

A unique breakfast cafe! Delicious eggs Benedict with fried potatoes or classic pancakes. Plus a variety of coffees at a fair price! Highly recommended – very cozy atmosphere – with cozy background music – I love it!

The pancake was a real highlight, fluffy like a little cloud and with the enviable ability to soak up maple syrup as if it had trained its entire life. The egg was also great, and the coffee was a solid accompaniment to start the day. The so-called bacon gets a little trickier. Unfortunately, no bacon, not even noted as such on the menu. Instead, a mysterious substitute that smelled neither of meat nor vegetables. A small culinary puzzle that would probably be better served in an escape room. The service was also a bit confusing. Salt, pepper, and sugar only appeared after we asked, as if they were hiding in the witness protection program. The waitress seemed to be from the French-Canadian side. When we paid, she probably wanted to treat us to a coffee, because she made us five before we even got our bill. After waiting fifteen minutes at the cash register, it almost felt like we were starting a part-time job at the restaurant.

Lots of vegan options! Delicious food

The vegan breakfast selection, both savory and sweet, is fantastic. Our highlight was the vegan bacon. It's incredibly good. The people are super friendly and personable.

The service is terrible and takes a really long time! For everything! And it's pretty unfriendly... They tell you not to smoke outside, and then a few tables away people are smoking! Wow! The food is really good, though!

Do you know that feeling when you're visiting Hamburg and then wake up without a hangover? Yeah, me neither. And then you've come to the right place! My tip: scrambled tofu with bacon🌱 and lots of cheese🌱 with tomatoes The rest is probably good too, though.

Great spot for a vegan/vegetarian breakfast or American-style brunch. Also perfect for a late brunch. Downside: It can get very crowded, with corresponding wait times, as it's also very popular with other restaurants. When the weather's nice, there are plenty of tables available outside the restaurant. 😉

Unfortunately, the food on the menu is described differently than what you actually get. We waited 40 minutes for two dishes, which weren't even that impressive. Besides, we returned one dish and still had to pay for it! It's outrageous.

I returned to Mammalicious after many years. I used to be a regular here, but today it was a spontaneous visit, and it was a thoroughly positive experience! The all-day breakfast concept works great, especially if you're craving something typically North American. We arrived around 12:00 PM, got a seat right away (reservations aren't possible), and ordered two hearty breakfast dishes (€14 each) – both with pancakes and an extra French toast dish (€8.90). We were particularly impressed by the vegan bacon – extremely tasty and really well-seasoned! The crispy potato cubes and the pancake were also great. The French toast was okay, but a bit less spectacular compared to the rest. The service was super friendly – ​​a young, blonde waitress wearing a cap was very attentive and friendly. Our dog was even given a water bowl right away. For anyone who wants a cozy, Canadian-American breakfast with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options: Absolutely recommend it! Portions are decent, value for money is right.

Very tasty but also very filling. The vegan selection is very good, and you hardly feel disadvantaged in any way. It's quite noisy on the street. Next time, I'd rather sit inside, even if the weather is nice.

The best fried potatoes I've tried in years, the French toast isn't too sweet and the maple syrup adds a little extra sweetness. And the pancakes! Oh my god, these pancakes! Fluffy, flavorful, and not too sweet! Fantastic!

We wanted to eat inside with a stroller on a weekday morning and were unfortunately kicked out quite firmly and rudely! There was only one table occupied inside, and it was too cold outside for babies. That's a real shame :(

First of all, the most important thing: the food tastes good. I had Benedict, my kids had pancakes, we had a mango shake and a smoothie. Everything was delicious and that's what going to a restaurant is all about: eating delicious food. And if you want that, you've come to the right place. What was often mentioned in the comments, namely the “unfriendliness towards children”, is true. You're not allowed to go in with a stroller, even if there's nothing going on inside. Not even to pick up the food he ordered. We were lucky that the weather was good outside, otherwise we were unfortunately left behind here. There was an unpleasant encounter with the boss. My two children (2 and 3 years old) ran indoors onto the stairs (as children do). The boss came out completely angry and told me that I should make sure that my children don't play on the stairs. Anyone who has children of their own knows that you don't always have control over your children. This situation could definitely have been solved better. The waiter, however, is really very nice and understanding. I only gave him two stars for the service because he is really, really nice. Conclusion: Good food, so I can imagine coming here again.

The best pancakes and French toast in town. And they are all Vegan/Vegetarian. Could not have asked for more. Coffee drinks although have a lot of variety nothing special. Some of the dishes were too salty, but otherwise great. Portions are huge. Keep that in mind. My top brunch places in Hamburg now. Will definitely return.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great vegan/vegetarian restaurant with a casual, relaxed atmosphere! Despite being packed, the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food came surprisingly quickly, the portions were generous, and everything tasted simply amazing – fresh, creative, and perfectly seasoned. The value for money is excellent, and the bagels, in particular, are highly recommended. I'll definitely be back!

Mamalicious is a great shop with a very good selection of vegetarian and vegan food and drinks. The Eggs Benedict were excellent, as were the Caesars Salad and the Strawberry Milkshake. A clear recommendation.

Amazing food! It is truly a Canadian experience. But be prepared to wait in line if you go for breakfast, very full. We waited about 45mins or so. I would suggest going for lunch. Even with the wait, it was a great time. Would recommend STRONGLY! 🍁 The bathroom was not very tight, and didn't have drying towels.

Very tasty food, very nice people, centrally located. Now widely known in the city and among tourists, it is unfortunately neither quiet nor without waiting times. No longer an insider tip, if you don't mind waiting 5-15 minutes for a table for brunch, you can have a great vegan feast here.

Excellent place. From the service to the food and the speed of service. For someone who is not vegan, I ate there and loved it. Even on a vegan diet. The desserts are sublime! A place to revisit!!!

Really awesome food. Carefully two dishes are possible, but require commitment.

Unfortunately, we weren't allowed in with babies in strollers; we were intercepted right at the door. We were then told, even though the shop was empty, that the car had to stay outside, which is difficult with 2 sleeping babies. It's a shame I would have liked to eat something, but luckily there are enough options nearby where you are welcome to come with a car.

We went with a large group of 6 and arrived early to avoid the wait. The food was good but people should be aware it is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. Most of us had dishes with “bacon” that turned out to be vegan bacon. It still tasted fine but some people were confused and didn’t realize that is what they ordered. We had a great waiter but the service was a bit slow for the group. But, we expected that! Still a lovely time and great to have some Canadian eats.

I had the pancakes and although they were really fluffy, they were quite dry. They also tasted a lot like pretzels, probably because of all the raising agent. I would still come back again and try other dishes :)

Great place, with great food and portions are really big. We have Benedict eggs with potatos, milkshake from Strawberry, and Pancakes with blueberry with maple sirup. I cant decide what was better. Really great place, always full, we were waiting for table like 20min, and on the and we needed to sit on bar but because of food, we really didn't mind.

Die Bedienung war sehr langsam und unaufmerksam, aber freundlich. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber nicht mega und es hat fast eine Stunde gedauert bis es kam. Kartoffeln sehr fettig und nicht knusprig, was schon komisch ist bei so viel Öl. Was uns genervt hat war, dass uns am Ende fast 10 Euro zu viel in Rechnung gestellt wurde, was uns leider erst zuhause aufgefallen ist.

This is definitely my new favourite Café in Hamburg! The service is by far the best I have experienced in a very very long time. The food is absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is a must try! The combinations and specials are just perfect and extremely thoughtfully created for everyone who appreciates an indulgent meal. Very tasty, but we had to wait over an hour for our food to arrive.

The scrambled eggs and potato pieces were clearly too salty. I waited almost 1 hour for my food while guests who came after me got their food before me.

Loud and crowded - that's because of the excellent cuisine! You have to have time - but that's what it says on the homepage - and then you'll be treated to the most amazing pancakes!

Perfect. Everything was delicious and well thought out, not slapped together. We ordered a fully vegan meal for each of us - the full Canadian, the Belt and the special salmon bagel - all excellent. This is the type of place we wish existed everywhere - honest prices, great service and delicious food.

The food is amazing! My boyfriend agreed. A perfect place for any vegan/vegetarian! The music was rather loud, but the light was nice and dim. The service was great. Will definitely be back.

Rustic, alternative ambience, super friendly service and great vegan scrambled tofu. It took a while for the tofu to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The portion was huge, plus a good pile of fried potato cubes. I was fed up. Definitely come back.

It's always an absolute must when I'm in Hamburg! The food is incredibly tasty, the staff is super friendly and personable and the prices are more than fair.

Everything is very delicious, if you go early you can enter without a problem, you don't have to get up early either. 100% recommended
