DISASTER!! Service = catastrophic, food = has nothing to do with the quality Mady once had, fries dry, would like to know when the deep fryer fat was last changed. Not all dishes can be ordered via QR, 30 minute waiting time for drinks, service had no idea what dishes were being served. Service tried to be friendly, but unfortunately that's no use if everything goes wrong. The ambience, well, is ok. The whole team is very overwhelmed. Unfortunately we won't be coming anymore...all the best!!

Customer Review for the wonderful Mama Mady's Diner - January 2025 I was curious about American food and really wanted to try it. Positive: The food: The burger was excellent - everything was very fresh, juicy and simply delicious. The service was extremely courteous, from the friendly greeting at the entrance to the escort to the seat. The staff were all extremely friendly, and that really made the stay a very special experience. The ambience is a real highlight - an authentic, cozy diner that immediately reminds you of America. And the price-performance ratio is also convincing, because the prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered. Negative: The bun of the burger was a bit too crumbly, which slightly spoiled the enjoyment for me personally. The lighting could be a bit brighter on some tables, but that's just a minor point. My conclusion: Mama Mady's Diner is definitely worth a visit! The quality of the food, the friendly service and the authentic ambience make it a great experience. However, small improvements in the lighting and the bread rolls could make the stay perfect. We can definitely recommend "Mama Mady's Diner" to anyone who wants to enjoy American food in an atmospheric atmosphere!

We were there about an hour ago and it was really nice there. We were warmly welcomed and given a clean place straight away. The function that allows you to order with your cell phone is really good, as it allows you to get the dishes and drinks you want much quicker. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The milkshakes were very tasty and so were the side dishes. The diner was beautifully decorated and therefore had a very nice atmosphere, which is why we stayed there for around three hours. In conclusion, I can only recommend it to everyone and I will definitely come again myself.

A gastronomic low point! In this "diner" sterility is the host. An anonymous reception, a digital menu and practically invisible service awaited us. We sat on plastic and ate from plastic plates. The tables around us were neither cleared nor set as soon as they were deserted. This sight was only masked by the colorful plastic decorations that were scattered around the room, on the ceiling and in the windows for Christmas. The burgers were put together carelessly and unimaginatively and were served lukewarm without saying anything. Ice-cold cutlery was also served. Side dishes had to be ordered separately, so we easily came to more than €20 per burger. The Caeser salad was absolutely tasteless, visually and gustatory. Conclusion: The combination of ambience, price, performance and service was certainly one of our gastronomic low points. Anyone who gives this "restaurant" a (very) good rating probably also believes that McDonald's has three Michelin stars.

After our visit today, it was clear to me that I had to give a review since I've actually never seen anything like it. As already mentioned, the menu is only available via QR code, where you can also order food and drinks. What initially looked like a reasonably good concept ended up being a flop. You can choose which burger you want, what you want on it and what you would like to live without. Unfortunately, what we ordered either didn't arrive at all or arrived incorrectly. It can happen sometimes. What was really a shame, however, was the completely exorbitant price. In terms of size, the burger and chicken patty could compete with a cheeseburger from the Golden M, but charging €14 for that is a bit bold, and mind you, without any side dishes. You can also quickly taste that finished products are being used, and there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of quality. The bacon was not fried and the fries that were chosen as a side dish were no more than 15 pieces for a hefty €5. I'm well aware that everything has become more expensive, but the price/performance ratio here is clearly a rip-off. The minimal service that was available (since everything can be ordered with your cell phone) was also not convincing. The only thing I liked was the atmosphere and ambience, but even for that the price is too high. We won't come back again.

We recently went there for dinner and found it rather disappointing compared to my previous visits. Unfortunately, you have to order everything using a QR code on your smartphone, which is probably not so easy for older people. There is therefore no service, except for bringing and collecting the ordered food and drinks. The food itself tastes ok, although some of it obviously uses ready-made products. I found the prices completely excessive for what you get. For a tiny vegetarian burger with a bun that you probably bought, you pay around 10 euros and there is no side dish included, for what feels like a ridiculous 15 fries in a small bowl you pay another 5 euros extra. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the burger itself was more of a children's portion, see photo... In any case, I didn't get full - I also mentioned that when clearing up, the staff only reacted with a brief smile and they wanted to pass it on. When we asked, we were told that we had to check whether the supplier had delivered the dessert again, so unfortunately they didn't make it themselves. We then didn't order any more. My conclusion: It's a shame if the price/performance isn't right anymore - it used to be a great restaurant.

Very friendly staff, always attentive and asking if everything was okay or if something was wanted. Food was ready quickly, large portions, extremely tasty and really attractively presented. Furnishings are typical of a diner, cozy and clean. Christmas decoration corner something different and really beautiful. We, 2 adults and 2 teens, really enjoyed it and we'll definitely be back. Keep it up!

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. Ordering via cell phone, no personal service, which is a shame. Ordering probably caused confusion in the kitchen. Starters were served with the main course, or not served at all until asked. Burger 🍔 buns were very dry. Unfortunately for me this has nothing to do with American flair. Conditions were friendly and accommodating. However, the food was not what we had hoped for. Conclusion: Unfortunately there won't be a next time.

It's very clean there, the service is super friendly and very accommodating, they ask about what's wrong if it's on the order twice or three times so that you don't have to pay extra if it's not right, the food is great and in my opinion the people who work there definitely have each other which deserves 5 stars

We used to really enjoy going to Mama Mady's Diner, but unfortunately the quality has deteriorated dramatically in recent years. The soft drinks are so thinly mixed with syrup that they only taste like water or very stale and the burgers have also become dry and tasteless. It's a shame, we've given them a chance over the last few years, but now it was finally our last visit.

A typical American diner in all aspects! It doesn’t exactly strike the cosey mood you’d find in a bistro, but it’s a diner, so mission accomplished. The big booths and all the necessities on the table like the ketchup and little serviet dispensers, added to its authenticity. The wait staff was friendly fast and effective. You put in your order with a QR code and within 15 min you’re eating like your life depends on in. We both ordered large hamburgers with a side of onion rings, garlic bread and bears. As you do. There’s always room for improvement but this place has nice food and a good ambiance. I’d defiantly go back.

Food is not good!! Want a good burger go to Ruffs! This no where near “American” my milkshake was literally just milk! Onion rings tasted like oil. And burger meat tasted spoiled. If I could rate a zero I would. 10/30/2024 I wanted to update this to add that I am in fact a regular USA citizen who was stationed in Ansbach. Also, that Mama Maddy’s tried to have my review removed from Google. Luckily I had proof that I’d actually ate there. Again, the food was TERRIBLE. GO TO RUFFS!!!

An all-round successful evening with super nice and friendly service. The spare ribs were just one of the best I've ever eaten and the burgers were really great too. We would be happy to come back and will definitely recommend you to others.

There is good American food here. The atmosphere is American. The restaurant is easy to reach by car. There is sufficient parking space.

Reservation was problem-free. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Ordering via QR code and cell phone is totally hassle-free and a great idea. Drinks and food were brought very quickly without a long wait. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were huge. Everything was perfect from start to finish and we will definitely be back.

I don't think it's a good idea to order online. Found it a bit cold in the restaurant. The food was really great👍 it's a shame there was no coleslaw at 5:30 p.m. even though it only opened at 5 p.m. We came especially from Nuremberg

I was at your house this morning for breakfast/brunch with my wife and our children. Great service, very attentive and friendly staff! The children passed the time in the beautiful playground and were even given mini pancakes as a starter before breakfast. That was a very nice gesture that made our kids very happy. My star rating is my own opinion, my subjective perception. That's how I felt that day. I can partially confirm the 3 stars and fewer reviews here. The ambience, the bacon, the meat, the ordering process, the fries, did not meet my expectations. Which may have been due to my expectations. For reasons I don't want to write more about it.

Called spontaneously, drove there and got a table straight away; Excellent homemade lemonade, good food and a nice boss.

Very open but you are still among yourself at the table and don't have the impression that your neighbor is hearing everything about the conversation :)

I am very surprised, the diner has a very nice atmosphere. It was very comfortable on the outside terrace. The service staff was very polite, courteous and always smiling. Top really professional The food was very good and was served hot. Kudos to the chef. The menus are available in German and online. I find the dinner really cozy, there is a huge children's playground outside where you can also eat in this area under covered seating. All in all, I would love to come back. Greetings Oli

A classic diner that doesn't justify the price-performance ratio for me. The burgers were barely bigger than those at McDonald's, although the fries were tasty. You can't go wrong with the drinks. Overall it was a unique visit for me.

Wonderful homemade lemonade, very tasty ribs, impressive burgers and a good selection of sides. Update 2024: Quality is still top, but we have 2 things to complain about. 1. Still no root beer, not even with ice cream, the classic in American diner. 2. The ice cream shake is subpar and urgently needs improvement in the recipe.

QR madness: Unfortunately, ordering via QR code was impersonal and apparently caused confusion in the kitchen. Instead of still table water, there was sparkling water; the food for our little daughter (mac & cheese) was apparently understood by the app as a starter and not as a main course. Only when the empty plate was cleared away did the question come: “Can I bring you your food now?” to which we replied in astonishment: “We’ve been waiting for that the whole time.” No response or apology. The food: Mac & Cheese were very good. The potato wedges (which were served once too many) were not even lukewarm. The bacon on the Double Bacon Cheddar Burger was mushy and rubbery. I completely removed this from the burger (see picture). The rest of the burger was good. We weren't asked whether we enjoyed the food or whether they could bring us anything else. Unfortunately, this has little to do with American service or food. It's a shame, we enjoyed staying here a few years ago.

The meal I ordered, spare ribs with Caesar salad, was fantastic. Whenever I come to Mama Madys I eat this. But the burgers and cocktails are also unconditionally recommended 😋🍟🍔🥗🧁🍹🍺

Incredibly good burgers! I have never seen the meat as good and juicy as here, and the taste of the burger was excellent. The ordering system is cool. There is a star deduction for the insanely high prices. 17€ for a burger without any side dishes + 5€ for fries is too much. Quality or not... you have to come up with something.

Food was easy to order by scanning a QR Code at the table. Courteous servers brought the food and drinks rather promptly. The chicken burger was a generous size. However, the deep fryer could have benefited from fresh oil before cooking the chicken.

Been there again after a long time. In short, the computer system for ordering is history. Since these touchscreens didn't really work, they're not a loss. We now continue with a menu in QR code form. Worked wonderfully. However, there was no "return button" for the drinks and so the order had to be placed manually. Then there were burgers. Well, what can you say about that? Frozen patty fried to death. Absolutely no sign of life anymore. Completely dry. The bun adjusted seamlessly. The stuff on the burger, except for the bacon, made it look very unappetizing. The spareribs were good - but as noted in numerous reviews, the silver skin should be removed beforehand. That wasn't done here. Mac & Cheese was definitely a finished product - otherwise it wouldn't be available at this price. Guys, you are the only American diner in Ansbach and wanted to sell people the food of America. Some others in the city also try this and do it much better. Quality would be if you make your own patties and the buns too. Then it would be an argument to come to you again. But if what is offered here is worse than what I can do myself, then I don't see any point based on the cost/benefit ratio. And to be on the safe side - I mentioned this directly to the friendly waitress yesterday.

Four of us had dinner here for Mother's Day. Large selection of food. Drinks standard like everywhere else. We had a little mishap with the food. Very nice diner with a very good, typically American selection of dishes. The burgers, both with meat and veggie, are very tasty and big enough, as are the side dishes and salads! The homemade lemonades are worth an extra tip! The whole thing is rounded off by very nice service staff and the very friendly restaurant manager! We recommend!

So we won't be coming back...... Burgers are frozen and dry and the burger buns are too big and also dry. The spare ribs would not come off the bone and the silver skin was still present on the back. It's not like we were only with you once, but it got worse and worse... But the waitresses are very friendly. What a pity. With fresh products and the option to order the burger medium, the shop could be a tip. The ambience gives you hope for American flair and good American food. The customer service is definitely very nice and friendly. What's a bit unpleasant is that you have to order via your cell phone. Unfortunately the food itself isn't that great. Mac and Cheese is cooked pasta with cheese sauce on top - but not classic pasta in sauce, there isn't enough sauce to mix it with. Some of the bacon isn't fried crispy. The burgers are very large and actually quite ok, unfortunately the buns are very dry and fall apart. Fries have been cold several times. And sometimes we had to wait over an hour until we had our food on the table. Overall it is also quite expensive for a burger restaurant. And yes, we have been to you several times, with and without reservations, and the impression remains the same. Hence this review. The service is top and super nice, the food still has room for improvement.

Yes, it's a shame, everything here seems to come from the freezer. The patties are rubbery frozen goods - so are the dry buns. You could at least tone it down a bit - making a pattie yourself isn't an art either, especially given the price. Side dishes are good. Ribs okay too.

It was my first time there and definitely not the last time. It was 6pm and Easter Sunday, even though I hadn't made a reservation, brought us that Staff "no ifs and buts" to a table. The ambience is very nice, tidy and well maintained. The toilets kept clean. There is more than enough choice of food and drink. The crispy chicken burger was big and super tasty, but (complaining at a high level) it was dripping with fat and oil. Maybe you can find a solution there. And finally. The staff is super friendly. Thank you, we'll definitely see each other again!!
