Really great idea and really tasty. Very small so you might want to consider whether you don't want to take it with you. Next time I will definitely try this because they have such sweet take away options.

Today was a bad experience for me. My wife and I have been here many times but this place is terrible, the tomato soup is very little and cold, even though we were asked to add tomato soup and warm it up, the variety is not much.

Mala Town is a great tip for anyone who wants to put together their own soup. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. It was already busy at the time, which is why some of the ingredients were no longer available. What pleasantly surprised us is that the ingredients are not refilled, so you have the feeling that everything is really fresh. There is also a great selection of broths. The toppings were great too. We'd love to come back.

There is too little meat to choose from, otherwise it is quite satisfactory, suitable for those who like vegetarian food. Great place to have lunch.

The selection of fresh ingredients for the soups is very good, and the service was friendly and quick. I had a vegetarian mushroom soup that I was very happy with. It would be nice if there were vegan broths in the future. Since there are only a few tables, you may have to wait a bit in the evening. However, we had no problems at lunchtime. Overall, I am very satisfied and will definitely come back.

Really cute little shop. There are a few tables outside, but there aren't many seats inside. You can put everything together according to your taste and if it doesn't taste good it's your own fault 🤣 the spicy broth isn't very spicy. But it's all a matter of opinion. Definitely recommended, eating is also super quick. The beeping of the pager also lets you know when the food is ready.

Good at upselling. Not good in taste

Small shop with a cool idea. You build your own ramen bowl like Lego, hence a Lego ramen. Was with the boys and had us very full. But you pay a lot, unless you're a saver and smarter than me. I'll be honest, I wanted to fill the thing full of my favorite ingredients and I didn't care about the price. Still highly recommended and delicious.

It's great that there is such a small restaurant. There were some options for meat and vegetable side as well as dipping sauce on site. To me it looks like ramen, sukiyaki or hotpot, but great idea.

The food is very tasty because you can put it together exactly how you like it, there is a large selection of pasta, vegetables, fish and meat. There was also tofu and fried tofu. The service was very friendly and helped us since it was our first time there. There was a small selection of soft drinks. In addition to the soup you put together, you can also choose toppings and mix them yourself in the small bowl. The ambience is very nice inside and fits well with the general vibe of the restaurant. There are also a few tables outside. It is very busy and you definitely have to expect a waiting time at peak times, but this is also regulated with a system. The price is very good because it is weighed based on the food. We would definitely come again.

Simply delicious, you can put together your own meal and the soup will be served to you in no time. Hot, fresh and super tasty. It's very narrow there and you don't have too much time to spend there, but I will definitely drive another 50km to sip a delicious soup there ♥️

You pay per 100g. There is also a huge selection and suitable broths for vegetarians. Despite the lack of space, things are civilized because they are well organized. Employees are very friendly and helpful if you have questions or are there for the first time. There are some tables both inside and outside. We will be very happy to come back!

Super cozy. Service is very friendly. And the most important. The food. Price performance top. Sounds like a medium-good soup. But it's not like that. The soup is top and very cheap.

1. Out of 10 points, give it 4 points. 2. Ordered two portions, one spicy soup and one spicy mix. Both portions were not hot, even slightly lukewarm. I didn’t understand how the freshly cooked rice could feel like it was about to go cold. The taste is also average, because there are few types of dishes, there are few choices, and it is not cheap, which is understandable for European consumers. 3. There are few types of optional dishes. The meatballs are domestic cheap frozen starch meatballs. I don’t have to be too strict about how good they are. After all, it’s not easy to import. The beef rolls are not very fresh, and most of the vegetables except spinach are cabbage. There are several kinds of mushrooms, noodles and noodles, potato slices and lotus root slices, which are basically most of the dishes.

Eating without getting full I love soups, especially Thai and Chinese soups with or without coconut milk. But in this restaurant I didn't like the soups at all: there wasn't enough choice of meat, the taste was either so hot (for "medium hot") that you couldn't recognize the taste of the soup anymore, or bland for "not hot at all" that you... bored. First of all, it should be noted that you can ONLY eat SOUP in this restaurant (otherwise a "non-soup dish", which I have not tried), and that is very unsatisfactory if you want to be full and are not on a weight loss diet. Second unsatisfactory point for me: There are a lot of ingredients, but in the soup they are not cooked and are too hard (some mushrooms are really tough and inedible), some bamboo shoots are hard and cannot be eaten, but otherwise there is very little choice of meat: except Some slices of beef cut to the millimeter that were tasteless when cooked, I found no chicken or pork, no duck, but small sausages (for soup?) that I didn't try. The broccoli was yellowed, the bamboo strips were hard, as were the oyster mushrooms, only the prawns tasted good, as did the noodles, as well as small, thin mushrooms. There were also fried eggs that tasted bland and out of place in the soup. But no matter what you eat, you won't feel full, because for us in Europe, soup is not a main course, but an appetizer. You can then expect the main course. In addition, the restaurant is not cheap, but too expensive if you try - albeit in vain - to get full. We took two soups and a Minetal water (which strangely enough I didn't receive but paid for) and paid €38. Well, for a one-time experience it's fine, but for me it was: once and never again. I just didn't like it. I don't want to make a comparison with the French food I'm used to, this food has no chance at all. Maybe it's something for young people who can't cook themselves but imagine they're eating healthy??? I also don't understand the praise I've heard about it. No comparison to a Thai soup with coconut milk or a well-cooked Chinese chicken soup, let alone a Chinese duck dish. The restaurant is in an unpleasant basement, you definitely have to get a table outside on the street.

This is great place for when you are craving hot pot. You get to choose your own ingredients and soul and your hot pot is made for you. There are all kinds of options, vegan too. The prices are reasonable. There is a little less space to sit but it still feels good. Nice place 👍

Great modern Chinese cuisine with a great ambience. As soon as you come in you can grab a bowl and choose from a large selection in the fridge - lots of choice in vegan/vegetarian options as well as meat and fish, all at fair prices. The restaurant is in a residential area, so parking is scarce. It is small, very popular and therefore often full, which can lead to waiting times. That's why I choose less busy times. In summer there are significantly more tables outside than inside. Sometimes certain products are sold out, but overall it's always worth a visit. I've been there many times, taken a lot with me and was always thrilled. The staff is also very friendly.

The best Ramen I have eaten in Stuttgart! I love the fact that you can choose your own ingredients! The price is great and the portions are generous. I like it so much that I have invited all my friends sometimes I pick it up and take it home since there is always a lot of people and the restaurant is quite small, so you have to bring some time with you. At first they had really good containers for the food, they were green and there was no possibility of leaking and the food stayed pretty warm, now the have changed the containers and I personally don’t like it at all, the food get cold and there is way less broth then with the other containers! Please bring the containers back 💡

Very nice staff, cool concept and very tasty food. The ambience is fine. ATTENTION: I and my companion have now noticed twice in a row that some ingredients are removed again after they have been weighed in the kitchen. Since we weren't sure whether we were exaggerating the first time, we counted everything out the second time we visited and lo and behold: there are only half of many of the ingredients left! That doesn't work at all and is a complete disgrace. The concept itself is expensive but that's really the height. I would have been a really good customer... BE CAREFUL

A very narrow and small shop. We had to wait a long time to get our turn, even though it was the middle of the week. The food was extremely tasty. I ordered the Classic broth with just a slight spiciness and was very happy with it. The selection of foods such as vegetables was sufficient, although I found the selection for meat lovers to be quite limited. The staff was very friendly. I will gladly come again.

Fantastic food with a punch! My wife and I loved the simplicity of the menu. Plenty of fresh produce and proteins to suite anyone's preferences. We also loved that we could make the broth mild but add as much chili oil as we liked to turn up the Scharf! Get there early though, otherwise you'll be waiting while to eat at this hidden gem.

Really nice place for a Malatang experience. The specialty chilli broth was really good. I recommend going for the middle-spicy level, as the mild-spicy level was too mild for my liking

If you want to experience a Hong Kong style "hole-in-the-wall" diner without leaving Germany, this is the best place to go. You can't make reservations, and the space is extremely limited, so at peak times, expect to stand in queue. When you arrive, go inside and at the counter you will get a buzzer and an approximate time when you might get a table. We arrived around 7pm on a Wednesday and had to wait about an hour - it's part of the experience. The diner closes early, so plan accordingly. The inside is unbelievably cramped, with small wooden stools to sit on. When you finally get a table, you are given a plastic basin and you choose the meats, vegetables and noodles you want. Keep in mind that the vegetables shrink and noodles expand - that tiny looking glass noodles pack is more than enough. You can then choose your soup base and pay immediately. The mala base is extremely spicy, with the numbing Szechuan pepper, and absolutely delicious. With sweat pouring down my face, I finished it to the last drop. Make sure you buy a drink upfront - when the fire hits your mouth, it's too late. The walnut milk is great for quenching fires. A small selection of canned beer is also available. If you choose to take away, the waiting time is less, and from what I could see, the takeaway items are very well packed to prevent spilling. I would recommend this place if you want to experience real, unapologetic mala soup, which hasn't been toned down for the tender western palates.

Unfortunately, I have had mild food poisoning since my last visit (on February 7th). But the food itself was delicious. It's a shame, hopefully that was a blip.

Tried Mala Town for the first time today and all I have to say is “WOW”. The place is very small so unless you luck out to get a seat you will have to wait outside. Totally worth it though. The food is so good and you buy as much as you can eat as the price is per hundred grams. I love that you can choose the spice level, and what goes in your soup. An absolute treat.

I'm very sorry for the bad review, but unfortunately I didn't feel well at all after the meal. Too bad because it was delicious, maybe a little overpriced, but the service was nice. Hopefully just a blip.

Very tasty food and a great ambience, but the prices have felt like they have doubled in the last year (!). So you now pay €30 (!!) for a larger portion of the soup, even after waiting a long time for a seat. In addition, portions that differ significantly in size and weight by eye are weighed out as being of the same weight (you pay by weight), which leaves a dubious impression.

Tiny place with some waiting time usually. For me worth the wait! It’s very tasty, the broth is rich & flavorful. You choose from a variety of ingredients and a broth (vegan, meat, etc.). They weigh ingredients and cook the bowl with the chosen broth. Served within 5 mins. Add toppings and voila! Highly recommend.

Wir wurden schon das zweite Mal weggeschickt, obwohl wir 15-20 Minuten nach Ladenöffnung in der kälte standen. Wie kann das sein? Das ist so unorganisiert und total ärgerlich. Egal zu welcher Uhrzeit man dort antanzt ist es voll. Im Winter hat man keine Möglichkeit sich auf irgendeine Art und Weise aufzuwärmen.

You can't make a reservation, but waiting in front of the door with a pager in your hand works great. The whole thing seems very authentic and the service is very helpful and explains everything to you. So don't be shy and just try it out. 😃

Tastes sooooo good! 👍 We drove an hour and a half just to eat here and didn't regret it. When we arrived, we got the pager that tells you when you can come in if there are seats available and we waited first. It said we would have to wait about an hour but it was really quick and after about 20 minutes of waiting it was our turn and there were a lot of people outside 😅 You go in, get one bowl per person and then go to the shelf with the ingredients 🥰 The food is prepared at the speed of light 🤣 and tastes sooooo good 🫠 I recommend it to everyone 👍 Enjoy it 😊

Mega , einfach zu empfehlen. Man muss Zeit mitbringen ,da das Restaurant sehr klein ist und lange Wartezeiten üblich sind, aber es lohnt sich zu warten! Sehr nette Mitarbeiter

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker! Es gab eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Zutaten, Pilze und Gemüse, das ich noch nie gesehen hatte und alles sehr frisch. Bei der Abrechnung gab es einen Fehler, aber nach Rückmeldung wurde dies geregelt und der Kundenservice war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Zum Konzept muss ich vermutlich nichts mehr sagen, da dies die anderen Kommentare ausführlich beschrieben haben. Wir waren 15 Minuten vor Ladenöffnung da um auch endlich mal die Malatang auszuprobieren (die letzten Male waren sicher 10 Personen vor uns da, mit einer Wartezeit von über einer Stunde, wie uns mitgeteilt wurde). Es hat sich sehr gelohnt! Die Brühen waren super lecker (Classic in Mittel & Knochenbrühe) die Auswahl an der Kühltheke war für Fischliebhaber absolut perfekt! Surimi, Butterfisch, Garnelen, Dumblings etc. Für Fleischliebhaber gab es leider nicht ganz so viel Auswahl. Das Restaurant fässt circa 20 Sitzplätze & hat leider wenig Atmosphäre. Sehr eng & es war kalt im Innenraum. Meinen Geschmack hat das leider nicht getroffen. Aber die Mitarbeiter sind super lieb, bemüht & gästeorientiert. Essen war ebenfalls sehr schmackhaft. Gefühlt isst man 1h an einem Topf, es nimmt kein Ende ;) Empfehlenswert!

Man kann sich seine Bowl selbst zusammen stellen. Zur Auswahl steht Fleisch, Meeresfrüchte, Gemüse, Tofu und verschiedene Nudeln. Mir persönlich könnte die Auswahl an Gemüse etwas größer sein. An der Kasse kann zwischen Suppe und angebraten gewählt werden. Am Ende kann das Gericht mit Toppings versehen werden. Die Wartezeiten sind leider etwas lang, da das Restaurant sehr klein ist. Wenn man sich die Zeit jedoch gut einplant (während man wartet einkaufen gehen) geht die Wartezeit auch schnell rum. Allgemein ist Mala Town ein sehr gutes Restaurant, mit einer hervorragenden Essensidee! Wir kommen gerne öfter her und empfehlen das Restaurant weiter.

Sehr sehr lecker Ich war zum ersten Mal hier und kannte das Konzept so nicht. Kleine Warnung für alle, die es auch nicht kennen. Es reicht eine Packung an Nudeln!!! Wir haben jeweils 2 genommen, weil es nach so wenig aussah und es war dadurch einfach super viel Mala Version scharf ist übrigens nicht so scharf, also kann man ruhig essen, auch wenn man unsicher ist, ob es nicht zu scharf wird.

The store is tiny that’s why I would recommend to go and get take out. Malatang is a also a typical street food that warms you right up even if you eat it outside. If you choose take out you can skip the line quite easily. We were there 16:15. They open 16:30 and with the line we needed to wait until 16:45 to enter. The line behind us was 2hours long. Once you can enter a waiter is waiting for you to explain the whole procedure. Once you are in, you can chose the contents of your soup in a bowl, select the broth type, pay and wait a couple of minutes for the finished food. Then enjoy. The options for me as a vegetarian where more than enough and I was more than full. Just a tip: I chose a little spicy, and it was already hot hot hot and I love spicy. If you choose three chilies, be aware that they mean business. There were also some Chinese people in line, and in china you always go get food where there is a line, it means the food is actually great. Also in the restaurant were actual overall Chinese people(also explanations were in Chinese and interesting German). And here is where the magic lays. It is absolutely similar to my Chinese experience of this food. The atmosphere, the content, the broth and how crammed together such a place is in China. The only thing I am missing: in China at a street food joint you mostly get a number, which is screamed at you in Chinese dialect of the region you are in once your food is done … and with luck you actually get your soup.

Wunderbarer Service, der Mann war sehr offen, freundlich und zuvorkommend, hat uns beim warten sogar Tee angeboten. Das Restaurant ist zwar klein und eng, jedoch ist das kein großes Problem. Das Essen war sehr lecker und hat sich für den preis wirklich gelohnt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Wir waren kurz nach Öffnung da, mussten allerdings noch kurz draußen warten, da es innen sehr eng ist und nicht alle Leute gleichzeitig die Suppe zusammenstellen können. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Zutaten, die man in die Suppe füllen kann, sowohl Fleisch/Wurst als auch vegetarische Optionen. Dies gilt auch für die Brühen. Ich hatte mich für eine Tomatenbrühe entschieden, die einen gut gewürzten Geschmack für mich hatte. Es gibt eine Art Saucentheke, wo man Dips machen oder dies auch zum verschärfen in die Brühe tun kann. Es hat sehr lecker geschmeckt! Leider war bei mir die Süßkartoffelnudel noch zu hart zum Essen. Dadurch dass es recht eng ist, sollte man definitiv damit rechnen ein bisschen zu warten.

Als Chinese freue ich mich, dass diese authentische Art der Speise vertreten ist. Es gibt genug Auswahl und die Zutaten sind frisch. Das Restaurant ist zwar im Keller aber süß und nett eingerichtet. Die Wartezeiten sind etwas lang, es wäre besser, wenn genügend Stühle zum warten draußen wären. Die Brühe der Suppen schmecken zwar gut, aber etwas dünn und salzig. Alles in allem war es eine gute Erfahrung und ich würdeden Laden weiterempfehlen

好吃的！ Ich habe das Restaurant schon lange auf dem Schirm, aber jedesmal wenn ich herkommen wollte war eine lange Schlange davor - zurecht! Sehr leckere Suppen, man fühlt sich wie in China. Atmosphäre wie in einer chinesischen Suppenküche.

Super Suppen zum selbst zusammenstellen. Die Auswahl an Einlagen und Brühen ist groß, man muss aufpassen, nicht zu viel zu nehmen. Ambiente ist ziemlich chinesisch, entsprechend authentisch ist das Erlebnis. Wartezeit für einen Sitzplatz sollte man einrechnen.

You can choose whatever you want from the food bar and the price would depend on the weight of your food. You can also choose between various soup, with either spicy or not. There are also jiao-ma selection which gives you a numb feeling to your tongue and lips after having the meal. I could not finish my own bowl of noodles, so I asked for take away. The employee kindly provided me the tin-can package for take away. I paid for additional 50cents and I don’t have to worry about the leakage. Would definitely come back to this place next time!!!

Ich habe schon sehr viele Ramen in Deutschland gegessen. Die coolsten und leckersten gibt es hier. Das mit der eigenen Zusammenstellung von der Suppe ist Super und man bezahlt auch nur dass worauf man Appetit hat. Werde ich auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Die Krönung von dem allem ist die Maschine um das Essen zu vakuumieren.

Ich war bereits öfters hier und muss sagen es schmeckt wirklich lecker. Es gibt immer eine grosse Auswahl an frischen Zutaten, diese werden auch regelmäßig aufgefüllt. Die Preise sind für die Portionsgrössen auch völlig in Ordnung. Es gibt leider aber auch Punkte sie ich bemängeln muss. - Es gibt kaum Sitzplätze im Restaurant können ca 10 Personen sitzen, ansonsten gibt es Sitzmöglichkeiten draussen. Bei den aktuellen Temperaturen und Wetterbedingungen eher ungünstig. Durch den Mangel an Sitzplätzen muss man auch gut und gerne 45 min lang warten, bis man überhaupt seine Bestellung aufgeben kann. Dann dauert es nochmals ca 30 min bis man sein Essen endlich hat. Mir ist auch aufgefallen, dass Beispielsweise bei dem MalaMix das V Zeichen für vegetarisch hinterlegt ist, wenn man jedoch die Inhaltsstoffe anschaut ist da der Buchstabe D der für Fisch steht. Hingegen ist laut Inhaltsstoffliste bei der grünen Pfeffersosse nichts tierisches enthalten das wiederum ist nicht als vegetarisch gelabelt. Vielleicht sollte man hier die Karte überarbeiten.
