We tried the brunch offer at the weekend. The food was very tasty, but it was simply far too crowded and cramped.

First off: the food was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was great too. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to our expectations. Plates sat on the table for ages without being cleared, and we felt like we weren't really being paid any attention. A real shame! Everyone was friendly, but the service definitely needs to be addressed. It all seemed very unenthusiastic. Despite that, we still had a lovely evening!

The restaurant could be a bit brighter. We were there for breakfast. Great selection and very tasty. The soup should be kept a little warmer in the container. The spring rolls are excellent.

Nice all-you-can-eat brunch experience. The option to try out many dishes in one session, while not loosing out on the quality, makes a visit worth the price.

Price - Still okay. €29 Food - 7/10. Banh xeo, Banh mi, and Banh bao were very good. The rest was okay, nothing special. Noodle soups had instant broth and some other options. The selection was somewhat limited (nothing for a cleanse; many were similar. No lime for pho). Service - 7/10. No introduction. Just a simple buffet. Waiters, etc., were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere - Stuffy but nicely decorated. All-you-can-eat brunch.

Maison Tran is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Munich. The Asian tapas, in particular, are outstanding and always a culinary highlight. It's also a great place for lunch thanks to the daily changing lunch menu. The service is perfectly fine and complements the ambiance. While the prices are on the higher end, they are usually justified by the quality of the tapas.

Came here for the brunch and it was pretty nice but super crowded. There was an assortment of food to choose from ranging from different spring rolls, fried foods, and of course a pho and banh mi station. They also offered traditional Vietnamese desserts. Would recommend going a bit earlier or later than standard lunch time to avoid the crowd.

A fantastic restaurant for Asian tapas! The concept of ordering and sharing lots of small dishes is a great way to sample the diverse menu. We had, among other things, the grilled skewers (very deliciously marinated) and a dish with lots of fresh vegetables like broccoli and zucchini – everything was cooked to perfection and tasted incredibly fresh. The rolls (presumably beef wrapped in betel leaves, as seen in the picture) were a particular highlight. For me, it's important that the food not only tastes good but is also made with high-quality ingredients, and that was definitely the case here. A great option if you want to enjoy good Asian food without it being too heavy. The service was friendly and the atmosphere very cozy. We'd gladly come back!

First of all: the food offered at brunch was high-quality, very tasty, authentic, and fresh. However, the restaurant is far too cramped with tables, and the small space is unsuitable for the concept. You constantly have to queue, it's difficult to get past other guests, and you can't properly see the beautifully presented dishes because it's simply too crowded and cramped. The savory dishes offered plenty of fresh ingredients like salad, herbs, etc., but I missed having fruit or something fresh among the desserts. According to the waiter, the dumplings were supposed to be served every 10 minutes, but we only received two in two hours. In conclusion: the concept and the cuisine are good, but the execution and the poor atmosphere caused by the cramped space completely negate this. A real shame.

Damn good, authentic Vietnamese food (vegan, vegetarian, and "regular" – they have it all). A fantastic variety. They regularly clear the tables and rearrange and refill the brunch buffet (limited time in December and January). Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back for dinner! 🤩👍

A very small, intimate restaurant packed with guests. Plenty of staff, friendly but completely chaotic and creating a hectic atmosphere as they try to get to the tables. The food is good, but the hectic pace, noise level, and cramped conditions are unfortunately not pleasant. Don't bother ordering an espresso. Maybe I'll go again when it's a bit quieter. I was there with two small children, and they enjoyed it. The total cost, including two bottles of water, came to €86, which isn't worth it.

Tasty Vietnamese dishes served in a beautiful atmosphere. The service was excellent during our visit.

Today, five of us went to brunch at 11 a.m. at Maison Tran in Munich. The restaurant was only about half full, but unfortunately, we still had to wait a very long time for everything – both drinks and our food. An espresso or tea took up to half an hour to arrive, and our meals didn't arrive for about 50 to 60 minutes. The presentation of the dishes was truly beautiful and appealing – a feast for the eyes definitely comes first. However, the taste of the food was only partially convincing: The beef bun bao was very tasty and well-seasoned, and we also enjoyed the croffle with banana and Nutella. The brioche and French toast dishes with scrambled eggs, on the other hand, were extremely greasy and unfortunately barely edible. The staff seemed clearly overwhelmed on this Saturday morning and not particularly friendly towards us. There seemed to be only one or two servers assigned, which was simply too few for the number of guests. Overall, the visit was disappointing—beautifully presented food alone isn't enough if the wait times, service, and taste aren't up to scratch. We probably wouldn't go back.

A fantastic evening. We were there for my birthday, and everything from the service to the ambiance to the taste was fantastic. There were four of us, and the waiters were courteous and always there to help when necessary. When it comes to the taste, it says a lot when even someone who never finishes their food suddenly wants a second portion because it tastes so good. It's an experience we haven't had in a restaurant in a long time.

A very pleasant ambiance with exceptionally delicious food. Unfortunately, as a group of three, we were somewhat disappointed with the service: Two of us received our food significantly early, while the third had to wait about 30 minutes. This was a bit inconvenient, as the other two had already finished their meals by the time the last dish was served.

I really wanted to like it because I think Asian tapas are a really cool concept, and the restaurant looks really nice. Unfortunately, our order was forgotten, and while everyone around us (who had ordered after us) was getting their food, we had to ask twice (!) before they told us it was still being prepared. After about an hour, we finally received our four tapas and two main courses. The food was good, but nothing particularly special, and the vegetarian tapas in particular were unfortunately not very good value for money (3 pieces of tofu or 5 spears of asparagus for €6.50?). What a shame :(

An outstanding restaurant The food, the service, the friendliness, and the overall ambiance were wonderful, and it was a great experience. Maison Tran has a very successful concept and offers Asian tapas – essentially all main courses in very small portions. This allows you to either sample a few dishes first or—even better—try and enjoy different dishes. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. Highly recommended!

A large selection of relatively affordable lunch menus. Innovative Southeast Asian cuisine. Many vegetarian dishes. Seating is a bit cramped inside at times. As mentioned by some other reviewers, the many bowls on the table can make it a bit cramped, but so what? Service is friendly and competent, although serving at some tables takes a bit of time.

A very nice restaurant with delicious food and good service. The pork belly dishes and the duck pancake are highly recommended. The squid was a disappointment, unfortunately, as it had a rubbery consistency. Nevertheless, the restaurant is still recommended, and you can have a pleasant evening there.

The food was truly excellent – fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The restaurant's decor is also very stylish, creating a pleasant ambiance at first glance. Unfortunately, this positive impression was significantly dampened by the service. The staff were barely attentive; the waitresses preferred to chat with each other rather than attend to the guests. Even when we tried to order, we were initially ignored. The phone also rang several times without a response – only the bartender intervened after noticing it. Another negative point: the restrooms. They were very dirty, there was paper everywhere, and the smell suggested that they hadn't been properly cleaned for several days. This doesn't fit in at all with the otherwise chic ambiance and unfortunately leaves a very poor impression. Conclusion: Very good food in a tastefully decorated restaurant, but there is considerable room for improvement in service and hygiene. It's a shame – with more attention and cleanliness, this restaurant could truly be top-notch.

I honestly don't understand the hype. The menu offers a huge selection – both in terms of food and drinks. Almost too much. The decision is very difficult, so I opted for the tapas variation. Three rounds are served. It's really a lot – half the portions would have been enough, especially from the second round. If you don't order the vegetarian tapas version, you'll get a lot of dishes with fatty meat. The table is much too small and not designed for the restaurant's offerings. Unfortunately, the service rarely comes by. They do bustle around the tables next door, bringing food, but they don't even check the neighboring tables to see if there's anything to clear. Difficult when the reservation slot is only for two hours. The ambiance outside is fine, and inside it's very nicely decorated, but the air is stale and the restrooms are unfortunately messy. All in all, it's okay. For two drinks and two tapas, we spent €110 for two people that evening. We could have easily spent that money elsewhere and, in my opinion, would have been satisfied. The place is way too overhyped.

We were here for brunch. The food was delicious, high-quality, and the menu was interesting. The drinks were just okay – we had the matcha latte, which I found to be of poor quality, and the milk was clumpy. Another drink also had to be exchanged because it was too sweet. I would definitely recommend improving the drinks; then the experience there would be truly amazing.

The food and drinks were wonderful. The service was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the monkfish, which was offered as grilled, was actually tempura-style. It was tasty, though. Nothing stands in the way of another visit.

The menu is various and it’s easy to find something that will meet your palate. The tapas option is perfect if you want to try different specialties.

The food itself is excellent and the idea of ​​offering the dishes as tapas invites you to try them out. Unfortunately, the interior of the restaurant is extremely loud. The tables are close together and the sound reflects off every wall, so you are acoustically bombarded from all sides.

We went with daughter and friends for the brunch time. Very beautiful and comfortable restaurant, top service, super tasty food. Vast choice (maybe even too many things), from traditional asian dishes to "mainstream" brunch dishes

Reservations are strongly recommended at Maison Tran, but the table is only available for two hours. If you want to enjoy a leisurely meal and a chat, that's a bit tight. The dishes are all labeled with a letter-number code, which you write on a pad of paper when ordering or directly with the server. The dishes were then advertised with the code when served, which sometimes led to confusion. The server sometimes didn't even know what they were serving, which was a shame. The dishes were mostly very attractively prepared and presented. The flavor ranged from very good to absolutely bland and boring. My wife had a bowl with rice noodles and vegetables, which had no flavor, and the noodles were mushy and overcooked. Since the restaurant is very loud and the seating is cramped, the atmosphere wasn't very cozy for us. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right, in my opinion. A shame...

We love the shareable tapas! The selection is huge and there are also many gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. The only thing we don't like is the fact that the tables are very close together - you can hear every word from the person sitting next to you.

So delicious. And every single one of the Japanese tapas was so delicious and large that I was completely full. Service good and friendly and a pleasant atmosphere. We were there as a large group of 18 women and were able to chat, feast and enjoy the evening! The location is a bit remote, but totally worth the “trip”. Thank you!

We were there for a Birthday Brunch. The food offered was simply well done, from Yoghurt Berry Nutty Musli to Asian, from Ginger shots to Coffee. Can’t complain about any. And above all, service with a smile, keep it going.

Original review (December 2022): Typical Munich Chic-Micki-Asian. Nice interior, relatively loud and quite dark. The menu is very similar/partially identical to comparable restaurants in the city. Tense price-performance ratio... there was only one wonton in the wonton soup (we couldn't even try the accompaniment). The salmon for €24.50 was fried too long and the sauce was too salty. The service was speedy and inattentive. All in all, unfortunately a disappointment. We won't come again.

Brunch was tasty but service and coffee were below average standards. 4 times in less than 20 minutes the service came to pickup our half full plates. Extremely annoying and unprofessional

Our first visit on Friday evening was a pleasant surprise. For once, it was an Asian restaurant that wasn't so quiet. The service was very attentive. The appetizers and wok dishes were excellent. There should be something to suit everyone's taste among the wines. Our Sauvignon Blanc was definitely very drinkable. The only negative, in my opinion, is the two-hour limit for our table of two.

We reserved a table for two people on New Year's Eve. At the entrance, we were informed of the reserved time slot. I always find that a bit of a shame. However, the waiter was very friendly. The service was a bit clumsy at first, but that can probably be explained by the high volume on New Year's Eve. However, all the waiters were very friendly. The food was delicious and the wait times were short. The system where you fill out your tapas order on the designated pad works very well. All in all, a nice restaurant visit with good food. The only criticism is that the tables were very close together, which made it feel like you were sitting with the person next to you.

There were three of us there for brunch, we were the second table to be occupied and we all ordered similar scrambled egg dishes. The first came partly after about 45 minutes, the second about 20 minutes later and then they said that the grilled vegetables for the third order weren't available and if a replacement would be okay, the answer was yes, so it took another 30 minutes until the third meal came. So we waited a long time for very simple scrambled eggs, which weren't really that good, and then we all ate them one after the other. Very unfortunate. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed.

We were there for brunch. Nice atmosphere, tables are far apart so it's not so loud and you can have a conversation at a normal volume, very tasty breakfast selection and hot Asian snacks afterwards. Staff very nice. We shared everything and each time we had to ask for more cutlery and dishes. However, they were always very quick when it came to clearing things away, even though we kept trying to tell them that we still needed the dishes for the other dishes. But overall we had a very nice time there with very tasty food in a nice atmosphere, so we will definitely come back.

When we arrived we were told we only had two hours. However, this is not mentioned when making the reservation. After 1 hour and 45 minutes we were then said goodbye with the words “can you please leave the restaurant now”. We didn't destroy the restaurant or insult anyone, we just ate the food, which wasn't bad. The price-performance ratio, on the other hand, is poor (e.g. the spring rolls are hard), but we didn't make a fuss and didn't complain.

We had a lovely lunch at Maison Tran and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Vietnamese cuisine in a welcoming and beautifully designed space. The restaurant has a stylish interior, and the service is exceptionally friendly. I highly appreciated the clear allergen labeling on the menu, which made it easy for me as a celiac to find what's safe to eat. The orders can be written on small notepads, which reminded me of traditional cha chaan tengs in Hong Kong. Such a nice touch! One suggestion for improvement would be to make it clearer which menu items are available at different times of the day. We tried to order mains, only to be told they weren't available. Given how extensive the menu is, it would be really helpful if separate menus were provided depending on the time of day. Overall, this is a cute restaurant with great food, atmosphere, and service, and we'll be back :)

Wir haben uns im Maison Tran sehr wohlgefühlt und hatten das vegetarische und Menü mit Fleisch ausgesucht für zwei Personen. Bei der vegetarischen Variante konnten wir sogar mit 3 Personen bestellen. Das Essen war hervorragend von der Präsentation und dem Geschmack. Der Service teilte uns beim Ankommen im Restaurant mit, dass wir nur 2,5 h Zeit hätten für den Aufenthalt, das war bisschen schade.

Essen ist ausgezeichnet gewesen und die Atmosphäre und das Restaurant haben uns sehr gefallen. Jedoch war nirgends verzeichnet, dass am Montag kein Sushi zubereitet wird. Das war sehr schade, da wir deswegen extra hierfür reserviert hatten. Aber wir kommen dennoch nochmal.

I recently visited for brunch, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the entire meal.

Absolutely not feasible for people with a car. We were incredibly excited about our dinner reservation... well until we spent 30 minutes looking for a parking space and then got so frustrated that we drove home WITHOUT finding a parking space. A good one. Restaurant takes care of all matters... this one doesn't.
