Maison Tran in München

We were there for brunch. Nice atmosphere, tables are far apart so it's not so loud and you can have a conversation at a normal volume, very tasty breakfast selection and hot Asian snacks afterwards. Staff very nice. We shared everything and each time we had to ask for more cutlery and dishes. However, they were always very quick when it came to clearing things away, even though we kept trying to tell them that we still needed the dishes for the other dishes. But overall we had a very nice time there with very tasty food in a nice atmosphere, so we will definitely come back.

When we arrived we were told we only had two hours. However, this is not mentioned when making the reservation. After 1 hour and 45 minutes we were then said goodbye with the words “can you please leave the restaurant now”. We didn't destroy the restaurant or insult anyone, we just ate the food, which wasn't bad. The price-performance ratio, on the other hand, is poor (e.g. the spring rolls are hard), but we didn't make a fuss and didn't complain.

Chic Asian restaurant - I like the small dishes that you put together like tapas and share. The cocktails are also very good.

We had a lovely lunch at Maison Tran and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Vietnamese cuisine in a welcoming and beautifully designed space. The restaurant has a stylish interior, and the service is exceptionally friendly. I highly appreciated the clear allergen labeling on the menu, which made it easy for me as a celiac to find what's safe to eat. The orders can be written on small notepads, which reminded me of traditional cha chaan tengs in Hong Kong. Such a nice touch! One suggestion for improvement would be to make it clearer which menu items are available at different times of the day. We tried to order mains, only to be told they weren't available. Given how extensive the menu is, it would be really helpful if separate menus were provided depending on the time of day. Overall, this is a cute restaurant with great food, atmosphere, and service, and we'll be back :)

Wir haben uns im Maison Tran sehr wohlgefühlt und hatten das vegetarische und Menü mit Fleisch ausgesucht für zwei Personen. Bei der vegetarischen Variante konnten wir sogar mit 3 Personen bestellen. Das Essen war hervorragend von der Präsentation und dem Geschmack. Der Service teilte uns beim Ankommen im Restaurant mit, dass wir nur 2,5 h Zeit hätten für den Aufenthalt, das war bisschen schade.

Essen ist ausgezeichnet gewesen und die Atmosphäre und das Restaurant haben uns sehr gefallen. Jedoch war nirgends verzeichnet, dass am Montag kein Sushi zubereitet wird. Das war sehr schade, da wir deswegen extra hierfür reserviert hatten. Aber wir kommen dennoch nochmal.

I recently visited for brunch, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the entire meal.

Absolutely not feasible for people with a car. We were incredibly excited about our dinner reservation... well until we spent 30 minutes looking for a parking space and then got so frustrated that we drove home WITHOUT finding a parking space. A good one. Restaurant takes care of all matters... this one doesn't.

Delicious lunchtime food in a relatively quiet environment. Polite and competent service. Clean sanitary facilities - gladly again 👍😎

The chicken was fried to death, the meat was of poor quality (often just fat and with small bones), hidden in the tempura batter. Vegetables were fresh and crunchy, but you had to look for them, as did the sauce. There was half a chili on the plate, not particularly hot. But I've eaten better Vietnamese food. Next time I'd rather cook myself. The companion wasn't enthusiastic about their tapas dishes either.

Excellent, delicious combination of Chinese tapas which you can't get in other restaurants!! We ordered A LOT and loved sharing the taste experience of so many creative dishes. There were no leftovers to take home!! Essen war lecker, Preise sind halt Münchner Preise und gerade wenn man wirklich Lust hat, viel zu probieren, kommt schon einiges zusammen. Aber die Qualität, ist es dann vielleicht auch wert. Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass wir lange sitzenbleiben und quatschen konnte . Ist ja mittlerweile leider auch nicht mehr überall so.

Wir waren zu unserem Jahrestag dort Abendessen. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und nett ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Getränke sind super lecker und sehr aufwändig hergerichtet. Wir haben verschiedene Tapas geteilt und alle waren wirklich lecker. Man kann sich genug Zeit lassen, die verschiedenen Tapas auszusuchen und schreibt sie dann auf einen extra Bestellzettel. Besonders gut haben uns die selbstgemachten Dumplings und die Nachspeise mit Mais und Kokos geschmeckt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

sehr guter Internet Auftritt, aber vor Ort leider enttäuschend :( Essen kam 20 Minuten Zeit versetzt, war nicht unbedingt eine Geschmacksexplosion und der Service war mehr schlecht als recht. Kann aber vermutlich auch daran liegen, dass per Zettel bestellt wird. Die Interaktion ist hiermit also kaum vorhanden.. ziemlich schade, da das Ambiente eigentlich sehr ansprechend wäre.

Immer wieder ein Erlebnis, sehr gutes Essen. Die kleinen Tapas sind einfach immer top und man kann jedesmal Neues ausprobieren. Wir werden bald wieder kommen.

Nettes Restaurant, innen ist die Einrichtung toll, die Tische draußen waren okay. Ich hätte mir mehr vietnamesischen Einfluss beim Geschmack der Brunch-Gerichte gewünscht. „Hähnwich“ & Co waren gut, aber nicht so neu/anders konzipiert wie vorher gedacht. Alles in allem aber sehr nett und lecker.

Maison Tran is in the middle of my neighborhood. In this respect, it has a good chance of being visited by me very often. I was there shortly after it opened and the restaurant was very busy. Unfortunately, I like almost nothing about the place. The interior is extremely dark, not my thing, but probably just a matter of taste. The food looks good, but only tastes mediocre. The portions are extremely small and the prices are very high. The service is okay, but nothing special. All in all not recommended. I haven't been drawn to it since my first visit.

Celebrated my 23rd birthday here. Service is very friendly and helpful in terms of organization. Ambiance was one of the reasons why I chose Maison Tran and the food (especially the tapas starters) is highly recommended.

I think it's great that the explanation from 7 to 19 percent is explained on the HP... I just can't find any information anywhere saying that the prices were reduced from 19 to 7 back then 😅😅😅 Sometimes it's better not to say anything

Nightmare💀💀💀. The food was good. But about a service 0. I am so sorry but we paid around of 100€ each. We booked a table at 18:00 and we asked for a nice table because we were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. And a waiter gave us a table next to the toilet, we ordered and we've been waiting for half an hour. And we asked a waiter for our order. Then he said he had forgotten, which was fine, everyone makes mistakes. But we ordered a WHITE wine, of course our lovely waiter didn't bring the right wine (he brought red), he had no idea what we had ordered. After half an hour we got our starters. Again the food was fine. Then, while we were having our main course, Mr. Waiter told us we had to leave as soon as possible. Of course, they have their next guests. Come on. What kind of service is this? The funny thing is that we have the next course (dessert). We were there a total of 1:30 hours. 30 minutes waiting for our drink, 1 hour waiting for our food. We were extremely shocked. And yes, of course we left. If you are the manager or someone who runs this restaurant, please train your service staff.

Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong tapas plate and asked if I could swap it because the one that was brought wasn't vegan. I was kindly allowed to order a new one without paying for the other one 👍🏽 I found it very accommodating and friendly :) I'd love to come back 🫶🏽

An evening that will be remembered. Everything was just right: excellent food, great ambience and the service was simply outstanding. Everything is just right here. The tapas portions are surprisingly large, so 4 dishes per person are enough to fill you up. Everything in excellent quality, we are thrilled. The entire service staff is friendly, nothing was missing. It's also worth "just" coming for a cocktail, the selection is just as great and it tastes good. The interior is an eye-catcher, discreetly elegant and rounds off the overall impression perfectly. We will come back.

Nice atmosphere and beautifully done restaurant. Food just average and Tapas concept which just makes you order more to get full. Service was bad and slow like the other reviewers have already said. Restaurant was empty when we walked in and they asked if we had any reservations. When we said no, she was looking around for like a long time before saying we can sit at a table. Restaurant never got full for the 1.5 hours we were there. Can’t imagine the service level if the restaurant is full!

Sehr schönes Ambiente und elegant moderne Deko, Cocktails sehr empfehlenswert (auch non-Alk!), wir haben uns für das Degustationsmenü entschieden und fanden die verschiedenen kleinen Gerichte sehr abwechslungsreich und immer top präsentiert. Einzig die Zubereitung war uns etwas zu fertig bei den frisierten Sachen. Trotzdem ein Highlight asiatischer Küche in München: wir kommen wieder! :-)

Brunch at Maison Tran… wanted to try something new and ventured to Maison Tran because of social media advertising. The outside terrace wasn't open despite the great weather, so the Italian restaurant next door was quicker. The restaurant has a great ambience and is pet-friendly, Doggo was immediately brought a bowl of water 🥰. We ordered the large breakfast platter for 2 people (€40, haaaapppiiigg). Looked great, but as my predecessors wrote: everything was bought and of normal quality. The freshly squeezed orange juice and 0.1 ml of Prosecco were almost free for €2.50 each 😄. I had the hyped sandwich 🥪. It was tasty but not exceptional. All in all it was nice and the audience relaxed. But there are certainly better brunch locations

Price performance is not right. Cheap baked rolls that taste old and the rest of the brunch, as some have already written here, is not particularly high quality. Service wasn't good either. Better go for brunch somewhere else!

Wir waren zum Bruch dort und es war sehr lecker. Die Speisekarte zum Brunch bietet die „üblichen“ Speisen, aber auch ein paar asiatische Spezialitäten, die sehr lecker waren.

It is a nice modern restaurant. There were a few language hurdles when ordering the drinks, which took a while to arrive. A rose petal tea was ordered from a waiter. A second waiter came and said that there was no rose petal tea, when we said that it was on the menu. The same waiter came back and then put his finger on the term and said there was none. We then asked whether the tea was simply out or what exactly he meant, because we could read that it was on the menu. Then another waitress came and said that there is only jasmine tea. End of the song: suddenly a rose petal tea arrived?! You don't have to understand it, right?! The procedure probably took 5-10 minutes. The food came straight afterwards and was also delicious. I just wished the food was warmer. I also think the tables are too small, especially when the restaurant offers so many “tapas”.

If you are in Munich, you shouldn't miss the Maidon. My recommendation is the vegetarian menu.

Been there for the second time and had the same experience twice. The food is very tasty and the restaurant looks chic. However, the friendly service staff is very inattentive and forgetful. Ordered a drink three times and the order was forgotten three times. Or. The white wine we ordered had been sitting on the bar counter unnoticed for 30 minutes. This shouldn't happen at such an expensive restaurant. A pity....

Super delicious food! The smaller portions are perfect for trying out Asian cuisine. The price is absolutely right and the interior is simply an eye-catcher! We love it here and can definitely recommend it :) Update: We were there again and are still thrilled. Food and drinks were excellent! We sat on the terrace in French bistro style. The service was very attentive and you felt welcome - even our dog was given something to drink without being asked. Definitely coming back!

Unfortunately the restaurant couldn't convince us. The first impression was positive, nice interior, friendly staff...but then it all went downhill. My companions arrived later, no new cards were brought to us and the four of us looked at two cards. The aperitif took forever and my Bellini fell apart completely because everyone else still didn't have any glasses in front of them. We ordered tapas, nice concept, the food can be served in stages if it doesn't come all at once, but with sharing everyone should be able to eat. One came, after what seemed like an eternity the others came one by one, one was forgotten and we received something wrong. So we didn't really get to eat together. The service was completely overwhelmed, everyone seemed to be responsible for everything and we couldn't decide who our waiter should be. So it was almost clear to us that the bill couldn't be correct in the end, because drinks were charged twice (after a long wait, of course, we asked and then they simply charged instead of investigating). In addition, even after we pointed out, the towel paper was not refilled and the lack of a damper in the toilet doors meant that I was almost constantly looking through the open door at the men's sink. The food was delicious, the prices aren't very expensive, but it doesn't blow your mind either. Given the massive competition in Munich, our choice next time will be one of the other fancy Asian restaurants.

Update: We've been there again and we're still thrilled with the taste experience. This time we followed the recommendation and had the dishes served staggered. All seats were occupied and the noise level was correspondingly high; still very nice mood and ambience. ______ Great tapas experience! The Asian tapas were delicious. Our group of four tried a total of 20 different tapas and were particularly enthusiastic about the Juicy Pork. Unfortunately we didn't get an outside table, but the inside was at least as nice. A big compliment to the kitchen and the service! The prices were a little higher, but definitely justified. What was particularly pleasing was the wine list, which is very fairly priced. Great wines for great prices. The only point of criticism we would like to point out is the small tables. But it was our own fault. Next time we will definitely listen to the service and not have everything served at once.

Ultra chaotic service. We were constantly forgotten, there were wrong drinks and dishes, and in the end the billing was wrong. The service seemed as if there were no stations assigned.

Ambiente schön, Essen ganz okay, aber der Hauptgrund unserer niedrigen Punktevergabe das Service Personal… Fragen zu den Speisen konnten auf Grund sprachlicher Barrieren kaum beantwortet werden, unfreundlich, Bestellungen wurden vergessen oder nicht bestelltes geliefert, chaotisch! Die Hammer war aber, das obwohl wir (6Personen) noch Getränke und Dessert bestellt bzw. wir noch am Essen waren ein Kellner uns sehr unfreundlich und leicht agro anhielt, dass unser time Slot nun zu Ende wäre und wir sollten uns beeilen und den Tisch jetzt sofort frei machen! Sowas ist mir noch nie passiert! Maison Tran völlig überbewertet!

The place was overcrowded but the food was very tasty

Unfortunately, me and my family were very disappointed with the breakfast at Maison Trans. Although the restaurant is very nice, the breakfast is specifically advertised as special on the website. The fact was that if you ordered breakfast for 3 people, it should be for 3 people. The only really good thing was the bread basket. The granola was 1 tablespoon in a tiny bowl. The fruit salad was actually only for 1 person. On the other hand, the cheese and sausage were a bit more generous, but unfortunately only supermarket quality from the pack. 3 slices of salmon and 3 scampi, but only 2 pieces of melon with ham. Unfortunately, the pancakes weren't overwhelming either. We were particularly disappointed with the advertised croffles. They were chewy and a waffle would actually have been better and not so expensive. A smaller cup wouldn't have worked for a cappuccino and the latte was tiny too. It's a shame, because for over 100 euros it was really annoying!

The tapas are simply great, whether fish, meat or vegan. Even if it's not cheap in terms of price, the ratio of price to quality and taste of the food is definitely appropriate. Can only be recommended.
